The Body Shop Haircare Review | Shea Butter Shampoo And Conditioner

Okay, so this video is going to be another hair care review. My previous one of the body shop haircare did quite well on my channel, so i am back with an updated version. So if you saw that video, i reviewed the banana haircare range which go and watch it and you'll see my honest thoughts on that one. If you haven't quick summary that it wasn't curly girl, friendly and i'm trying to kind of follow the curly girl method. So, yes, i found out from my friend keeley, who is a bodytalk at home, rep that the sheer butter, shampoo and conditioner is actually curly girl friendly. So i was like. Aha definitely will try these. So if you watch my channel, i do a lot of things of like the body shop. I am a big big fan of the body shop just found that their shea butter range is actually made from community fair trade. Shea butter hand crafted by women in ghana - and i think that is amazing. These women in ghana have used shea butter for years so think that it's great all the fair trade vegan cruelty free. So obviously shea butter is like renowned for being really moisturizing and hydrating. So again, curly hair being on the drier side, i thought that this would be great. So this is the shampoo and conditioner, as you can see, i've used quite a bit. It doesn't look like i've used that much, but i promise a little goes a long way with these i've probably washed my hair about four times with this, so yeah, starting with the shampoo. This whole range does say that it's for dry, hair and prone to damage - and i wouldn't have picked this up purely because i don't think my hair is prone to damage. I don't really use much heat on my hair um. Definitely my hair is dry, but i wouldn't maybe put it as prone to damage. Maybe it is so the shampoo first impressions when i was washing my hair with this similar to the banana one. It was really lathering. Sulfates is what makes it lava. So i was really confused this being sulfate free, why this was lathering lathering, whatever the word is yeah, so a little bit of research, a little bit of research and i found out that there is actually sulfate-free alternatives and one being sodium cocederate, i'm gon na put It on the screen, because i can't say it, but this is a sulfate free, cleanser lavas, the hair without stripping it. So that's amazing. So it's an alternative. That'S not gon na strip, your hair, because obviously the curly girl method says you can't use sulfate. So this is great news, so we're so happy with this, because it still kind of lathers your hair. That gives you the illusion. It'S really really cleansing the scalp, but not actually stripping your hair with a drying agent. So that's great! I actually did two shampoos with this. The first shampoo is just to get the product out your hair. The second one is to cleanse your hair and, like i said, i know the curly girl method does say. Maybe you shouldn't shampoo, but i really really like it and overall i think that it is really lightweight like i said you don't need a lot of it. It really just is quite lightweight which again is going to help with frizz, and i definitely feel like it has. It has done that i'm not gon na lie, but the conditioner, the conditioner. This is the conditioner first impression you can see that it is such a thick consistency. Like literally look so thick. I do think that that's good for kind of hydrating, especially curly, hair being so dry. How many times do i want to say that it's good that it's thick, you know it's going to be really really nourishing and moisturizing. However, i noticed the second ingredient on the list. Is an alcohol and, like i said in my other video, the ingredients that are higher on the list is what there's mo that's most in the product. So again did a little bit of research and actually don't let this alcohol put you off the product, because so this alcohol - i can't pronounce this i'm gon na, put it on the screen. Alcohol is not bad for your hair. It'S it's actually in a lot of cosmetics, and i think it's from coconut oil or like it can be made in the lab. It'S basically made to make the hair softer and it's a different kind of alcohol than those harsh alcohols that are going to actually dry out your hair. So this is not bad for your hair, so please do not let the alcohol put you off. This is a fine alcohol for your hair, according to google and according to me, because i feel like it's fine and, like i said super thickness like it's really really hydrating really doesn't make my hair feel dry and yeah. So don't let that put you off. I would definitely still say this is curly girl, friendly and good for your hair. So overall overall, i would 100 recommend this shampoo and conditioner. I am so impressed, i'm so glad that i found a shampoo and conditioner from the body shop that i like, because i was so upset with that banana one, because i really wanted to love it, i'm all for it. I'M obsessed, i really want to try their hair mask as well, because i've heard that they do the hair mask a shea butter hair mask. So i'm going to definitely try that and i will repurchase these with the 400ml, because this is 250ml. I want them bigger, because i want them to last forever, so i'm really impressed with it. I feel like it's really sprung up and just so soft. Like honestly, i could stroke my hair 100 happy with it. I think it's so soft. I think it's holding my curls really really well um, so yeah.
