#wavyhair #curlyhair #routine

Hi friends welcome to my channel. If you want to see how i took my hair from this to this go ahead and keep watching till the end of the video hi friends. It'S sarah welcome to, or back to my channel, thank you for being here on this channel. We talk about all things: anti-mlm, yoga, lifestyle and now curly hair. So if you like my face, if you like my vibe, subscribe, also if you need something to do, go ahead and follow me on instagram, it's just at my own, so today's video is really exciting. It'S probably been my most requested video on my channel thus far, and it is my wavy slash, curly hair routine, so i would say my hair ranges from a 2a to a 2c depending on the days now. I just want to put this out there. I am extremely new to learning how to take care of my hair in the proper way. I'Ve always just kind of shampooed and condition it and then let it down its thing. So i am still learning, but this is where i'm at this is the start of my journey. My first hair care routine. I hope you like it if you do give it a thumbs up, if you have any suggestions for me, go ahead and leave them down below i'm really down to try out anything for my hair as well as film any kind of videos you want to see. Let'S see what we are working with, i have not washed my hair in probably like six days. It is super oily and just basically straight my wavy girls, my wavy, my wavy humans out there y'all know by like fourth fifth day hair. You basically have straight hair. So this is what we're working with, obviously there's a little wave left, but all my layers up here are pretty much straight. I did just get highlights, so my hair is a little drier than normal they're super, pretty i'm a big fan. If you live in the portland oregon area and you're, looking for a curly hair specialist, i go to the curly hair studio in beaverton. I will link my hairstylist down below. If you want to check her out and let's go ahead and get started on this routine, we are going to deep condition today. Grab a towel, you're gon na need a spray bottle. This is the best spray bottle ever ever. This is the pattern. Beauty spray bottle. Tracy ellis ross is, is that how you say it hair care company, so we're just going to get our hair nice and damp? Now that your hair is damp, i use the not your mother's curl talk deep conditioning, curl mask looks like this. I really like the packaging because you can get everything out. This deeply penetrates curls without weighing them down. I have super heavy hair. I have a lot of hair. It'S super heavy like i said so. I need something. That'S super moisturizing, but not going to make it sag. So this is really good for that. This is the superfood oil blend and sunflower seed extract for all curl types and i believe it is curly girl approved, so there's no sulfates, no silicones, no dyes, no parabens and no phallites. It'S also cruelty, free and made in the u.s, and it's cheap, which i like it like that much so we have about this much, i'm just going to apply it to my hair, focusing on the ends so kind of where you would make a ponytail. I think i used way too much, but that's okay. We haven't done this in like a week or so so you can go crazy if you want to, and i'm going to avoid putting it on my scalp, because my scalp is already super greasy today and i don't really need more oils on there. My hairdresser gave me a good tip. She said you always want to try to avoid conditioner lots of conditioner on your roots, because your hair grows out of your roots and if you have a lot of stuff on your roots kind of blocking the hair growth, it's just not going to come out. So i'm going to take that too heart i'm trying to grow my hair out really long so fun fact. Last year i had a pixie cut this time. Last year my hair was in a pixie cut. If you want a hair growth video. Let me know because i can definitely do that for you. I don't really have anything else to do so, i'm going to let this sit in my hair for an hour or two, i'm just going to put it back up in that clip and headband to get out of my face, and when i get back i'll see You in the shower see you then people any curly, hair tips, any hair tips don't blow dry. It and um. Don'T worry, don't steal your sister's blow dryer to cup your hair. Even more and uh don't use a towel, don't use a towel. Are you doing those two things now? No good hello! We are in the shower now shake out your hair. Do a little pose. Oh yeah, so cute rinse out your deep conditioner make sure you really get it out. So your hair is not weighed down and then we are going to use not your mother's curl talk curl care shampoo use about that. Much smalls are really good and lightly apply it all over your scalp, and then i use a massaging shampoo brush from vanity planet. It vibrates and it feels really good. You know. Scalp stimulation is good for hair growth. Apparently, so we're going to do that since we want booty length, hair, eventually rinse it out, get it all in your face and then we're going to go in with the matching conditioner from not your mothers. I really love this stuff, i'm using about four pumps here. Yep and then apply it just to where you would put a ponytail. I try to avoid the roots, because i want volume there rake it through and then we're gon na do a squish to condition motion so you're, just gon na scrunch, your hair upwards. My hairdresser told me that this kind of puts the conditioner more into the cuticle and makes your hair more moisturized detangle using a wide tooth. Comb. Nice and gentle also don't be scared if you are losing more hair than normal. When you do this routine, i only brush my hair twice a week in the shower, so i'm not brushing my hair every day, meaning i'm getting less fallout every day, so it kind of all comes out at once. So don't be scared, that's normal! So cute you're gon na rinse out half of your conditioner, so i put the shower on its half power setting and rinse some of it out, not all of it and that's it grab a t-shirt, wrap up your hair. I would usually do all this in the shower this next part, but i want to get dressed so secure it with the scrunchie and oh, my gosh. We'Re going to teleport get ready three, two one whoa, let i let my hair dry a little bit, so i'm going to add some more water into it. You want it pretty much soaking wet, not your mother's curl, tuck gel my fave. I love this line. Don'T be afraid to use a lot, you are going to smooth it over your hair, nice and gentle, and then here comes the fun part, we're going to scrunch and scrunch and scrunch and scrunch keep it going girl. Oh, yes, i added a little more water because i want it to be soaking wet a little more water, a little more gel. So it sounds like this. That is the sound we want and then go for. It probably spend like five minutes scrunching upside down here and then you're gon na take a dry towel or excuse me, a dry t-shirt and scrunch some excess water. Out of your hair. I find that this makes your hair a little more clumpy versus singular curls. I'M gon na grab some clips, we're gon na add these to the hair at the roots. I find that this gives you a lot of volume, and obviously it just looks so cute yep another one right there and then see how those are more straight up and that one's kind of slanted. That means you haven't grabbed enough hair and that's going to kind of pull it down, so you want to add hair. So these pins can stick straight up. Give you all that volume you want and i'm just adding a bunch more, especially the back of the head. I, like a lot of volume, there put your timer on and hello friends. We are back it's currently 10 51 pm. My hair has been drying for five and a half hours, so i'm gon na hit stop and we are going to finish up this hair. I am so tired. I'Ve been up since six today, so the hair is dry. What we're gon na do first is you're gon na take out your little clips. These clips are really good because, obviously, as you can see, they give you a ton of volume. Okay, so, obviously, right now, my hair is like super crunchy. You could leave it like this. If this is your preferred style, but when you put a lot of gel on your hair, is it creates a gel cast? So that's what kind of gets it really crunchy, but it also gives you awesome hold. So if you want to get rid of that gel cast, what you're going to do is you're going to flip your head upside down and just like how you scrunched the gel into your hair you're, going to scrunch it right out. This is honestly my favorite part. You want to make sure you get all sides of your hair, no gel left behind whoa. Okay, i'm gon na call it. This might be my best wash day yet now i don't know about you, but i am tired of playing small. I want my hair to be larger than life massive hair. I used to straighten my hair all the time in middle school, which is something wrong with straight hair. Obviously, but i did that because i didn't want my hair to be so poofy and now i want poofy hair. So let's, let's get her big, shall we you're going to open up your fingers? Stick them in your roots and shake it out, but we're working with? Oh, my goodness, i'm obsessed with this hair fun about curly and wavy hair is it turns out so different every time. So you never know what you're gon na get. Today we got something incredible. Sometimes, when i'm done, i like to finish off with the aveda damage, remedy, split, end repair and gently put it in your hair, i'm 100 not sponsored by not your mothers. I just love their products and use them every single day, but because i use them every single day, not your mother's. If you want to chat, my email is below. Let'S chat, all right, so i'm just going to take a little little bit. I really like products. So like does it actually do anything, i don't know but they're fun, they smell good and i'm a fan all right friends. Those are my end results. That is my current wavy hair care routine. I am super passionate about wavy, curly hair. I would say even more passionate about this than i am anti animal content, so i am going to be posting a lot more. Don'T worry. Anti mlm is here to stay for now, but i do want to incorporate some other passions of mine, so stay tuned for more videos on this topic. If you have any specific requests any routines, you want me to try any products. You want me to try anything like that. Let me know down below make sure you give this video a thumbs up if you liked it subscribe. If you like my face or if you like my vibe, follow me on instagram, if you have nothing else to do, and i will see you later, bye

Abby: I have 4a/4b curls but I looove watching other women take care of their curls :') Makes me so happy that we are all embracing our natural hair

Cheyenne Ross: I’m so very happy people are embracing their natural curl patterns instead of trying to always beat it ( aka straighten) it into submission. I quit using chemical relaxers 12 years ago and now my two daughters are being raised to love their hair, experiment with it, and most importantly learn what works for them. I know not all curly hair is the same ( our curls as are tighter and coarser because we all three have 4C hair) but ALL hair can be lush, healthy and beautiful

Kyla Wayne: Hi I have type 4a hair but this will work with your hair type too! If you use a satin bonnet, pillow case, or scarf it will most definitely make your curls last longer and stay moisturized! I do this and my best friend with type 3 hair does this and our curls/kinks stay soft and defined for up to a week. Cotton sheets and pillowcases dries your hair out really fast. Plus you will save products. Also for the gel cast I recommend covering your hands with a very light oil when you’re scrunching you’ll get shine, moisture, and really soft hair ! Have a blessed day

lalaa Slurp: I’ve noticed people with wavy hair it takes them awhile to realize how wavy their hair is In reality, like I had a friend who though she had slight frizzy waves but turns out she has beach waves!

Inga Voskerchyan: Honestly I started taking care of my hair. Turns out I have pretty curls I thought I had just a frizzy mess

Kim G: I really appreciate this routine because it is really realistic, has cheap, affordable products (very lightweight). Although my hair is a little bit more wavier than yours, I’m gonna start using your routine. Time to shop for Not Your Mother’s Products!!!!

M: You PRECIOUS angel-- out here trying to learn how to manage my 1c/2a hair for the FIRST TIME EVER in my 26 years of age and your video is so helpful! LOVE u babes

Olya Glazkova: THANK GOD I have found someone who hair the exact same hair type as I do on YouTube..... Thank you, girl, I have faith in my hair now.

Amee Bohrer: "Now I WANT poofy hair." Yessss! You look like an '80s queen, but with HEALTHY hair. lol That's the length I'm shooting for --- soooo happy to hear you started with a pixie last year! I'm growing it out now, since April. Can't wait to grow it out and see my CURL POTENTIAL!

Sarah C: GIRL! This is amazing. Revolutionary, I must say. I did the same thing straightening my hair in high school thinking that it was just frizzy. Nah, ya girl has beautiful luscious soft curls and never knew it! I’m pregnant in my third trimester and this will save me so much hassle in the future. I went out and bought the product right away and hallelujah it works wonders. Thank you so much! To follow up with a question - how do you refresh your curls on no-wash days?

Miranda Scott: We have literally the exact same hair (same length, color, thickness, wave type, etc) and I’ve been looking for a routine that wasn’t complex (because lazy lmao) because I have no idea how to get the curls I have to fully come out and shine like they should be, so thankful to you and honestly love the loyalty to not your mothers because it’s so easy to get your hands on anywhere and I’m so tired of seeing peoples routines with super expensive or hard to find products. Thank you so much you are exactly what I’ve been looking for and you’re absolutely adorable and have a great vibe too! <3

Molly Grace: I’ve always been extremely intimidated by gel casts specifically (and all these steps and products) and it’s kept me from trying to take care of my hair properly, but you made it seem so much less scary! I’m ready to give it a try!

ash: Im 4 days into hair care research and I'm so overwhelmed past decade has been me always envying my straight haired siblings while I've had huuuge frizzy hair, twas def getting boring. gonna share my findings w my mom, poor woman's lived a lifetime treating her 2b hair as straight .. wish us luck!

Rafaella Puccia: I loved this video so much! my hair looks a lot like yours (in the first clip), and although i spent my whole life thinking it was "frizzy straight", it was actually 2a/2b hair! Thank you for the amazing content ❤

Sangeetha A S: I thought my hair was 2c but turns out I have 3a-3b curls, i have really fine hair, I tried damp styling instead of soaking wet and used light and less products and my hair curled up more. Also you are so pretty✨ love your channel❤

Desi: Wow! This looks so much simpler than other people’s videos. Thanks. Gorgeous hair!

Eva M: I have spent hours looking at videos of how to get my hair the way I want it to be and this is the first tutorial that has actually worked. THANK YOU. I didn’t know I needed to put gel in my hair. I always used creams but then I learned today that it’s weighing my hair down and I need to let it be crunchy and then just scrunch the cast away ‍♀️ love it

Ducktective: My dad has curly hair and my mom has SUPER straight hair. I ended up getting half and half! Literally some of my hair is curly, some is straight. So frustrating

Milena Ćwiklińska: I love the result you ended up with - your curls look heavenly Thanks for sharing this routine!

Kay: Your hair is really beautiful! I just wanna say that I’m currently transitioning back to my natural hair. I’ve straightened my hair for 12-13 ish years (not that often before middle school, every day in middle school and every day throughout my freshman year before covid). When there was that lockdown in March, I started to try to transition back to my natural hair. I had no idea what I was doing, and I really wish I did know what I was doing because my hair would look so much better today. Two months ago, I finally figured out what I needed to do to as far as transitioning back. I’m still unsure what my curl pattern is because my hair is so damaged and thick and very tangled from wearing it in buns and ponytails all the time (it’s probably 3c ish from what I can tell when I’m washing it). I really just want to cut it all of somedays and just completely restart because my hair is such a mess, but I’m not gonna do that. It also really sucks to hear my mom say that my hair looks bad and that I should just straighten it (she has curly hair too, but wears it straight), even though I know 100% what I’m doing. Thanks you for listening to me vent about hair.

ASMR Kay: Love this. Our hair seems pretty similar so I can’t wait to try out these products for myself. And your personality is seriously perfect for being on camera!

Amy Trumbull: Yay, you showed root clipping! I have been dealing with really flat hair at the roots and ending up with the dreaded triangle shape until I started root clipping. I do diffuse it when it’s about 90 percent dry and then let it cool completely before removing the clips. Gel is usually too much for me and I prefer mousse but I’m going to try the Hawk curling jelly next. I love your hair, your style and that bathing suit is stunning girl! I wish my hair was thick but alas, it’s fine and thin. Hence my fear of gel. I’m still learning and experimenting though. Thanks for the video!

Rachel Benitez: K y’all I did this routine & it works. I have very similar hair type to Sara so I felt pretty comfortable buying the products & wow, what a difference. I’m excited to keep trying this routine a couple times a week & see how my hair improves or reacts. Im tired of always straightening- time to embrace!

steve bacue: Thank you so so much for this tutorial! I have always thought I had just a slight wave but now I am finding out that I have 2b/3a hair! THIS TUTORIAL WORKS SO WELL ON MY HAIR!! AAAA

shithead3000: dudeeee thank you so much for thisss!!!! i always thought my hair was just gross and frizzy and when my hair was at your length, it was TERRIBLE!! i always had my hair looking like it did when you started the video you should do a new hair care routine once your hair is longer!!!

KEVITA master-brew kombucha 505: People with thick hair r so lucky my hair is see through y’all look like gods and goddesses

Sayed: I'm a wavy haired bloke, also just passing through. You and your bro have the same heavy/wavy hair as me (my hair confused me for so very long). I've been trying out a longer hair style, and your video helps a lot.

Olivia Chambers: Thanks for the video! My little sister is the only girl with curly hair in my family, so I’ve been searching for ways to help her properly care for it. This was so helpful!

Maya Ghormley: I have the same shower comb as you lmao, I have also barely started my hair care journey. my hair is way wavier/curlier than I had imagined, I was always so self conscious of my hair bc I thought I had straight frizzy and big hair, but it turns out I have beautiful 2B/2C hair. thank you for sharing your routine!!

dee: Your hair looks amazing!! Leaving this video really motivated to continue my CG journey!

Caleb Charles: So I just tried this and my hair is actually looking crazy good right now those products really do work well.

Mollipop: I am sooo happy I found you! I have the same exact hair type as you and same length too. After so many years of straightening it my hair was so damaged. I'm finally learning how to properly care for it

Jessica Gunderson: before school when I was young I would shower and then my mom would always brush and blow dry my hair. It was always long and straight, maybe just slightly wavy at the tip. So growing up I naturally just brushed my hair right after showering so it’d be “easier to brush”. I noticed after swimming it would get significantly wavier. I no joke thought nothing of it, maybe just the chlorine. I also had a lot of heat damage in high school. Fast forward to me at 20 and I quit all heat and got frequent trims. My hair got thicker and I noticed it was getting more texture. I looked up wavy hair routines on here and stopped brushing my hair the second I got out of the shower. Now I have waves and literal ringlets near the back of my neck i was straight up dumbfounded, not knowing you have wavy/curly hair is a real thing!

Michelle Bracamontes: Hi! I really learn a lot from your videos, you explain the steps really well and it's easy to understand what you're doing. Is there any way you could make a video to refresh curly/wavy hair? Thank you so much for your content!

charlotte be: Awww amazing video for my curly hair, thanks!!!

Дебсиии: You’re hair looks fantastic!!! It’s so hard to get good products for curly hair here in Germany... last year my pin straight hair suddenly got curly and it’s really fun, getting the curls to its best, but also not so easy.

Alienor D: omg thank you so much for this!!!! i have the exact same hair as you (but the back is more 3a) and ive always thought i had weird hair because it would get straight after a few days of not washing. this was really helpful

Jacqueline Patrick: You are so sweet. I have embraced my 2A hair. I am working on getting the process down. I learned a few things from you, so thank you for your video.

Pearl Kohler: Yesss I’m so glad I found your channel we have like identical hair types! Hoping to get my short curls as defined as yours and find all the products it loves definitely gonna try not your mothers line now

O Harris: Yesss! I am so happy you uploaded this! I haven't found a single person with my exact hair till now and feel way more confident about it after watching this

kate hancock: A little tip for when you scrunch out your gel cast use hair oil. It helps prevent frizz and adds shine to the hair. I use argon oil for my hair.

dora: i always thought i was resigned to a fate where i had to use heat to tame my hair and the damage would be inevitable - i just either had to get some kinda hair treatment to force it into falling straight without frizziness or constantly apply heat to it. but i recently discovered that i have wavy/curly hair like yours! it's like a whole new world opened up for me, i never realized that i could take care of my hair like this and make it look so pretty by leaning into its natural waves and curls. i cant believe ive lived this long without knowing how to take care of my hair. im so excited to get to know my hair and what works for it!

TheInkyPanda: Yeah just found out my curl pattern. My mom had 3b 3c curls and she used to do my hair, she passed away when i was 4 and my stepmom straightened my hair all the time. I continued straightening it as it was poofy and i didnt know what to do (me and my mom are the only ones who have curls in the family) until i looked at a baby picture before my mom passed away, i had ringlets. So now i want those bsck so here i am!

jktm: I wish my hair was this thick, I love how healthy and shiny your hair looks. Once my hair grows out a bit more I might try this routine and those products :). Looks pretty promising

Isabella Cacciabaudo: Can't forward to apply what I learned from this video. My mom used to straighten my hair costantly, but when I grow up a little more to take care of my hair by myself, I noticed they were too thick and "frizzy" to be straight. Like, I've been living a lie all my life, and I might have like 2A curls x')

Annkatrin Boehlke: Why do u look like tom holland as a girl omg lol

Angela Carlisle: I watched this video and then tried the products and your routine. I am AMAZED!! And SO happy with the results. I could have told ya every product that DIDN'T work. This is the Holy Grail for wavy hair. THANK YOU!!! I have been looking for almost two decades for what would work for my hair. Feel more beautiful than ever! ❤

Bela Saenz: Omg!! Your hair is so pretty and your tips were literally amazing! My hair has never looked better❤️❤️❤️ thank you so much!!!!!! ❤️❤️

toby: OH MY GOD MY HAIR HAS NEVER BEEN THIS CURLY BEFORE THANKS

Sherio88: I have the waviest hair. I wear it short but always grow it out long and whenever I get it cut, the hairdresser is AMAZED at how it goes from mostly straight to SUPER curly.

Deanie: I'm so happy I found this I would always straighten my hair but since finding this I was like someone else knows my hair struggle. But yours looks immaculate

Lea Kistler: girl we have the exact same hair type and nearly the same length too!! your hair is looking gorgeous ✨

Jenna C.: Hi! I can't speak for everybody but I tried this EXACT routine for 6 months now and here is how my hair changed: Pro: My hair is no longer frizzy and now I have these beautiful curls! Con: The products left flakes in my hair and made it feel a bit greasy. I have 2b hair. I use the shampoo, mask, conditioner, and curl definer. I tried playing around with the products to try and find out what was causing the flakes and greasiness, but no matter what product I applied or stopped applying, my hair was still a bit greasy and had flakes. The flakes, by the way, are not from dry scalp or anything. And i was my hair every other day.

Katie Campbell: I started curl training and actually caring well for my hair and turns out my hair is super curly!

LemonDrop: My hair also ranges from a 2A to a 2C. Unlike the other numbers that stick to a letter, I feel like the wavy haired people do have this range.

fromrosiewithlove: Omg it is beautiful!! Nobody understands how much work goes into waves

H_A!: oh wow, thank you for this. I've had wavy hair since i was young but i never knew how to take care of it. This is crazy! I'll definitely try this!!

Diana Nilsson: it ended up amazing!!! thanks for your tips I didn't realize I needed to up my gel amount hahah, i literally use 1 lil droplet and my hair goes to my bum.... :* have a sweet day honey

Natalie Dantas: ive just started taking care of my hair about a month ago. the more I do it, the waiver it gets! love it!!!!

Evy Alexiev: I used to straighten my hair every week till my hair dresser told me to stop using heating tools due to breakage; my hair was shape-less, so i tried the curl manifesto cream form kerastase and it really saved my curls, moroccan oil also has great products. It's better having curly-wavy hair

Rachel S: So happy to finally find a video of hair like mine! It's difficult to find good videos for 2a-2c hair. Love the video.

Monique van Dorst: OMG you are so pretty, fun and lovely to watch, so pure natural beauty and you have gorgeous hair!!

ilovecupcakes329: Girl I just recently realized there were different curl patterns!! My hair is also 2c ish BUT I just shaved all my hair off!! I would LOVE LOVE LOVE a hair growth video ♥️ when u said not to use too much conditioner I panicked because that’s all I’ve been using on my shaved head also....is your little brother an Aquarius?

Amalia Berrios: Just came across this on my recommended page and im glad i clicked, you are hair goals! literally so excited to go out tmrw and grab the products u used start embracing my wavy hair more

Mary McKenzie: I just found this, and not only are you the same hair type and length as me, but you have an incredible vibe. Totally realized I can't live without your vids

jenn: Omg I can’t emphasize this enough… I hate that it took me 30 years on this earth for someone to teach me what to do for my hair type wtf

Discursting Shet: Mine is 2A. You're right. Every day is exciting. My hair texture now is beach wavy hair for almost 2 weeks. My hair can become a little curly or very curly depending on day, hair care products and weather.

Alex Lock: Damn your hair looks so good at the end! Totally doing this now I’ve grown my hair out

Desiree Trivino: I love your hair ❤️ we have similar hair types. and I DEFINITELY subscribed not only because of this video but because I love your vibe and I think you’ll definitely blow up one day. God bless

Savannah Foreman: i also have type 2a/b/c curls and i love the idea of putting only gel, then adding the cream after. i feel like that would really help with not weighing my waves down. definitely trying this!!

abbie ♡︎: PSA- YOUR HAIR CAN BE FRIZZY. damaged hair can be frizzy, but frizzy hair is not always damaged. ily

Shannon Woodbury LeSieur: This is exactly how I do my hair and now I have to go try these products!

Norma Lee: If you wash your hair with a co-wash (conditioner wash) halfway through the week/wash cycle, it can add lots of moisture and allow you to have that was day experience! There are specific co wash products for different hair types too! ❤️ enjoy the hair journey, there is no end.

ioana morosanu: I am obsessed with your skin tone sis, you literally saved my hair and life thanks

Ashley S: My hair could NEVER hold that much gel. But I did learn a few things, can’t wait to wash my hair and try this!

Rina Shalgina: Over and over again I'm watching curly hair routines having the straightest hair lol

Liliya S.: I just found your video and I'm pretty sure that my hair is similar to yours...AND OH MY GODDESS, I am so thankful for your video!! I just figured out my frizzy, poofy hair is actually wavy/curly like yours, and I realized that I have been doing CGM all wrong for me. Your tips, products, and such are amazing for me! Thank you! Also, I was curious, since you mentioned being super tired and wanted to sleep, do you do anything special for sleeping with your hair? I have a satin pillow and plan to start pineappling, but I don't really do anything else yet. Is there anything you recommend to maintain curls the next day?

lolly schofe: Thankyou great vid!! I’m new to trying to look after my waves/curls so this was really helpful! You look fab & really remind me of Millie Bobby brown!!

Charli RA: I’ve always thought I had straight hair, then al of the sudden it started to become wavy, so I tried certain curly hair tricks, and now I know I have curly/wavy hair! And I’m really happy because I’ve always been jealous of girls with curly hair

Rebecca Pinkney: Hi! Your video gave me the education and inspiration to work on embracing my natural curls, so thank you! I am definitely going to be buying the Not your mother's shampoo and conditioner :D I have used the Not your mother's curling gel for the first time and it was really effective but I just can't get rid of the cast off my hair :/ I dont know if it is because my hair is so damaged or that I recently used coconut oil on my hair? I dont know, I was just wondering whether anyone had any insight into that, thanks! :)

crystal wishon: We have the exact same type of waves! You did a beautiful job

lydia y: FINALLY SOMEONE THAT LIVES IN THE PACIFIC NORTHWEST AND HAS A SIMILAR CURL PATTERN AS ME! I usually see 3-4 hair type pattern videos. But not much on 2 A/B/C. This is a godsend. Thank you especially for the hairstylist recommendation. This is useful, especially in the rainy seasons!

Shivangi Sharma: Thank you for replying and sharing the video. You have given me hope that I too can maintain and get back to my curly mane. Not sure if I will look gorgeous like you, but many thanks for sharing your amazing routine. What do you do to maintain this hair in-between washes?

CocoIsNotNuts: Omg this video is a lifesaver, I've got the same curltype and I've been searching for a good hair routine and products!

Lilyyy Maeee: Just found out my hair has a amazing curl pattern

Opo Kami: Lmao! I curly-girled my hair yesterday and ended up with a Debra Winger vibe. It was gorgeous curls but poofy like hers in Urban Cowboy lmao. Also, you should try the Heritage by Mindy McKnight. I like her stuff and my hair absolutely loves it.

Claudia Harlow: My hair is just like yours! Mine is super thick and dry - what works a treat is to put a plastic cap over your head while the treatment/mask/deep conditioner is in. I then take a heated head cap and put that over top, which creates a super humid environment on your hair. The product soaks in 1000000x better, and the result is jucier curls :)

Cristina Mintas: In all honesty i noticed this: my hair started to be straighter and freezier once i got to the adult hairshampoo phaze, when i was about 5-6. That's when my texture went south and after i had no more recollection of me having anything but straight frizzy hair. And so when i started to get sucked in into this rabbit hole of people going wavy/curly and almost everybody said the same "i thought i had straight but frezzy hair" and i was like, let me try it out on a piece of hair, why not, it's quarantine anyway, nobody gonna see me, and i was presently surprised. And my mom head this "yeah you had ringlets as a child, up until you thought was a good idea to take my scissors and give yourself a boy cut" so i was basically bald by 3 and had a bowlcut by 4 and started wanting to be a grown up by 5 and refusing baby shampood and i didn't remember how my hair was before with a more softer gentle shampoo like baby shampoo is.. so now i have a thighter curl at my root on my crown anf a very loose curl on my lenght anf hairline ‍♀️

Katie 1172: I literally love your personality and energy

Lori Snapp: omg this was SOO helpful we have like the same hair type 2b and this helped a LOT I am literelly writing every product down to get hahah

Brittany H: Does anyone have the issue that their curls start to fall out the next day? I just started taking care of my hair yesterday I did this routine and it looked awesome yesterday, but then I woke up this morning and about half my curls are gone and flat. I don’t know what happened. I have a satin pillow case and hair bonnet. Any tips?

Mel Arzola: That looks gorgeous! Right there with ya on the larger than life hair!

o-o: your hair is so naturally beautiful! ✋

Tyanna Stuckey: We love to see it!! Embrace them curls!

crusty rat pumpkin pie xoxo: hey! love the video i was wondering if you had any tips for me my hair is curly and spirally at the front, but even using the same routine on the back and sides of my hair it doesn't go curly. This is a big problem as it looks messy and tangly pls help

Rebecca Pozzi: You could try using leave in conditioner and mousse! Works magic for me (my hair is also 2a-2c )

Vanilla: Girl on my school days I used to hate my hair of how frizzy it is. Now I take care of my hair, moisturise them etc. I never imagined I had a curly hair. I so grateful that I have a pretty curly hair

TheElfDruid: Oh my goodness, your hair came out SO FLUFFY! I have a similar hair type (2B-C) but it's long, so I can never get the same level of volume. It doesn't help I don't have all these materials yet to take care of my hair-- just shampoo and conditioner. I'll have to see if I can give Not Your Mother's (as per a recommendation by my stylist, I've been waiting for a sale on Joico) and try and see if I can get the same level of curl and fluff. Do you know if it's possible to get the same kind of shape without the scrunching gel? I usually get a shower in the nighttime after my classes and don't want to have to get up extra early (I already get up at 6am!) just to get my hair in the right shape. Any tips are greatly appreciated, as I'm new to the wavy/curly hair community~

Scotlass 1984: What do people do between wash days? I have just started my wavy journey but find that they dont last past day 2-3, but washing my hair that often makes it really greasy
