Hey everyone, I'm beyond grenade you're, watching beyond grenade today and today we're going to talk about oils, whoo yeah. What are they good for a lot of things? Actually, I'm gon na tell you all the benefits right now now, some of mine low subscribers might be thinking. Um, you said you don't use oils in your hair. Yes, that is actually true, but I do want to start incorporating oils into my hair routine and before I try anything new, especially with my hair. I do my research, so I thought I might as well share my new knowledge with you guys we can go on this new, adding oil journey together. Now, if you are new to my channel, welcome, make sure that subscribe button. So you get weekly curly, hair videos and you can follow me on Instagram, Twitter and snapchat. I'M is Bianca Rene, so we could, just you know, become best friends like right now and now that we're besties it's my responsibility to take care of your curly hair. So, let's go over all of the top oils you should be putting in your hair. Oils can be used for a couple of different things, one that can be used to pre-poo, meaning you put them in your hair. Before your shampoo and conditioner, you can use oils to detangle your hair. You could add the oils to your shampoo or conditioner to make things a little bit better. You give more benefits, you could do a hot oil treatment. You can do scalp, massage with them or goodness use oils to seal and moisture. Now. The first type of oil I want to talk about is moisturizing oils, but I'm also gon na stop right there, because I saw online as a huge debate over if oils actually moisturize your hair or if only water can moisturize your hair. So without getting into that whole thing just know that oils help retain the already existing moisture in our hair so that it does not evaporate so fast. The oils that help do this, our oils that actually penetrate the hair, shaft. Okay, we're getting into some big words. Now penetrate meaning entering the hair shaft, which is just like the hair cuticles like the little individual strands of hair, not all oils actually get into the hair. Some of them just sit on them which are sealants but we'll get into sealants as well, but the three oils that I want to talk about today that actually penetrate the hair, our coconut oil, olive oil and avocado oil. Now coconut oil is like the popular girl out of all the oils, like everybody likes coconut oil, your hair, your face, your skin, your body, just everything is good for coconut oil, but also when you're the popular girl. A lot of people don't like the popular girl because they're just over her, and she just does everything you're just like. Oh I'm done with you. So a lot of people hate, coconut oil and are just like over it. But I suggest that you do try. Coconut oil and see what it does for your hair. Coconut oil can be used as a heat-protective, but that doesn't really matter because we're not straightening our hair anymore right right. Okay, just checking it can be used to repair damage. It can help with your hair loss or hair growth, and this overall really helps maintain the moisture in our hair. But since coconut oil does have a lot of protein, if your hair is protein sensitive, it might just get too hard and be too heavy for your hair. So I say: try it out, use it as a pre-poo, use it as a mask and see how your hair reacts. My favorite way to use coconut oil was definitely detangling. Nothing has detangled my hair easier than coconut oil. So if your hair is super tangled, I would recommend applying a lot of coconut oil to your hair combing through it. Let all the tangles just melt away, then taking a shower rinsing it out with shampoo and conditioner. The next oil I want to talk about is olive oil. Olive oil is a very popular oil, not just in the kitchen. You might as well go to your pantry now and grab it and now keep it in your bathroom, because it has so many benefits for our hair olive oils going to soften your hair. It'S gon na fight frizz, it's gon na help with damage and also help with any dandruff. I would recommend using olive oil like in a deep conditioner, so you that could apply to a deep conditioner or do a whole DIY math, like I have done before. I will link that right here, so you guys can see that video and also at the end of this video. But that way, it really can sit on your hair for, like a good 20 minutes put on a heat cap and let it soak into those cuticles and the third oil that I want to talk about that actually penetrates. The hair is avocado oil avocado oil is what you want to use if your hair is very damaged and really weak and you want to strengthen the hair, it is a heavier oil, so this is probably better for my high prosody girls and boys out there that Have like really tight, coily hair: this is the oil is probably gon na be best for your hair. Avocado oil is very rich in nutrients, so it's really going to help repair your hair and give it the nourishment that it needs. So those are the top three oils that I feel like most people talk about, there's definitely other oils out there that penetrate the hair shaft as well, but these are like for three main dogs, but everybody's riding with the next type of oil. I want to talk about our sealing oils. These are oils that do not actually penetrate the hair. They kind of just sit on top, so you might be thinking. Why would I want anything just to sit on my hair? Well, a sealing oil is supposed to be put on as a last thing to like lock in the moisture, it's also best to use after a braid or twist out to lock in the moisture and lock in your style. The common misconception is that these oils are used to add moisture to your hair, but they're not going to add moisture that is going to sit on top of it and lock in whatever you have. But if your hair is already dry, you're, just locking in the dryness, the three sealing oils I want to mention are jamaican black, castor oil, jojoba oil and grapeseed oil. My favorite sealing oil of the three might be jamaican black, castor oil. I do love how it smells it's full of vitamin E and protein so supposed to help with hair growth. Jamaican black castor oil is commonly used for scalp massages, but you have to use just a little bit. Cuz it a little bit. Does it go a long way, it's very heavy oil you use too much or probably hate it might just weigh down your hair, but if you use it right, just use a couple drops or so it's going to strengthen the hair, make it thicker and grow faster. It'S also used to restore those edges, so if you go like to a Beyonce or Rihanna concert, and they just like slay your edges away, you might want to get that jamaican black, castor oil and bring them back. The next oil is jojoba oil. You might look at it and read jojoba oil, but you have to pronounce the J's with H's. Yes, we all learned the hard way. Don'T act like you didn't read to Joba the first time you saw the bottle. Okay, nobody knows that off the first read, but jojoba oil is cool because it's the oil that is most similar to our natural oils in our hair aka, the sebum, because I hope oil is so similar to our natural oils on our hair. It is very lightweight, so it's probably the best option for us that have low porosity, hair, hobo oil will fight breakage, add shine and also create more volume and, last but not least, is grapeseed oil. I personally have not tried grapeseed oil yet, but I'm probably most excited to try that one, because it is one of the most affordable ones. It'S also the most light weight. So if coconut oil or olive oil is too heavy for your hair, definitely try grapeseed oil. It'S gon na be a great sealant that you use after your shower after shampoo conditioner and you're gon na put on your damp hair to lock in that moisture. Another reason why I'm excited to try grapeseed oil is because it's odorless, usually I don't like using oils because they have like a strong smell or like the smell, doesn't mix well with my styling product. But this one has absolutely no sin. So it's just gon na be a great sea lamp it's going to hold in that moisture, but not distract my nose. These are all these main oils that I want to go over today. You learned about the ones that actually penetrate the hair, the ones that seal the hair and not go over every oil whatever. Maybe nobody got time to go through all of them, but this is where I need you guys to help me out. Okay, so hear me out, don't leave me, I need. I need you here. You got right here, okay, good, so the youtube comment section. I know it can be a very, very scary place, but I would like my comment section to be like a curly hair community. We all give our tips and tricks to help each other out, so if you're someone that uses oils all the time, please leave me a comment. Let me know what your favorite oils are and what benefits they gave to your hair now, in order to leave a comment, I know you're gon na have to like login and like put your password, it's like it's it's a lot I understand, but while you're logged In you also hit that subscribe button and the belt, so you don't miss any more of my videos I post to new videos every week. So if you like, makeup curly hair - and you just want to know a thing or two on how to make it all work, you got ta come back next week for my next upload I'll see next time, thanks for watching Bianca Rene today,

Josephine Diaz: Coconut oil 2:17 Olive oil 3:32 Avocado oil 4:11 Jamaican Black Castor oil 5:34 Jojoba oil 6:13 Grape Seed oil 6:49

Raven Manson: i'm three years late but i'm just starting to get into taking care of my curls. This is so informative and pleasant to watch. I can't wait to see the transformation of my hair.

Lisa: I have high porosity, fine, thin 3B hair. To deep condition, I add olive & coconut oils into my Shea Moisture masques. For scalp massages, I use JBCO with essential oils (for growth) but only before washing since it's a heavy oil. To seal moisture, I add several drops of argan oil to my leave-in KCKT conditioner so it's not too heavy. Those of us with finer, high porosity hair have a real balancing act with needing the moisture but getting weighed down by oils. However, I find the best results by adding them into my hair products vs on their own. Plus, I'm slightly obsessed with oils so I have a large collection to make face & body creams too. If I were a minimalist, my hair would be completely satisfied with argan and coconut oils only.

Bshawk90: #snapfam I’m all about olive oil, my hair HATES coconut oil. I’m really wanting to try avocado oil. My husband for the first few times thought I was crazy stealing the olive oil from the kitchen for my hair! Now he understands the madness and loves my big curly hair.

Ali Casper: I am literally obsessed with oils in my hair. I use everything from coconut to castor to argan to sweet almond. I'm also low key obsessed with rosemary and peppermint. I can't tell you how much better my hair has become after 4 months of oiling every other week.

MisoSanSoup: Bianca staring at me: WE AINT STRAIGHTENING OUR HAIR ANYMORE, RIIIGHT? Me: -starts sweating-

Danigirl: I'm to lazy to research facts about curly hair. That's why I'm here.

Paige Ford: Your hair is getting really long! Your curls are beautiful! Love your curls and personality! You have such amazing hair tips. You have been such an amazing person in my curly hair journey! You have helped me so much! Thank you and keep up the amazing work! ❤️❤️

Whitney Wilson: #snapfam! My fav oil for my low porosity hair is grape seed oil. I use it a lot after I diffuse and it add shines, breaks any “cast” and doesn’t weigh my hair down! Def my holy grail oil

doThatGWalk: Prepoo with coconut oil overnight before wash day I also love Apricot Oil, it's lightweight & a humectant. JBCO is too heavy for me. Rosemary & Peppermint Essential Oil can help with hair growth.

Jan Robert Escudero: I always pre poo with a blend of oils before I wash my hair to detangle and nourish it. It will help your hair grow so fast and keep it super soft. Love this video !

tanvi singh: Hi I live in India where there is lot of humidity and heat therefore my curly frizzy are dry-damaged-lot of split ended-lightening struck hair... I tried DIY deep conditioning oil treatment. 1.Put aloe Vera gel on my whole hair scalp root everywhere, 2. mix 2:1 coconut oil(olive oil/sesame oil is also great) and castor oil respectively, add 3-4 vitE capsules and heat it a bit...to make it also work like a serum(optional) I added 4-5 drops of essential oil(Rosemary or lavender or tea tree anything is fine). I kept it overnight on hair and washed in morning and did this for entire 1month...God my hair Finally began curling beautifully again... Do try it and tell me the result girls..

Brittney Harston: I love oils in my hair, my favorites are coconut oil and jbco. It's hard for me because I have high porosity hair, to find oils that help. Thank you Bianca for helping me figure that out. Your channel as been so inspiring for me, I've been natural for a year and a half. And your videos have really helped so thank for that. #Snapfam

Aime: About 3 months ago I decided to try JBCO and it helped my eyebrows grow, in about a month I saw that hair grew where it normally would struggle. I really love argan oil, that is my favorite!

muskndusk: After two years of neglect, I've started taking care of my hair again. I love coconut oil, it always improves the texture and condition of my 2C - 3A hair, and I love the smell of virgin coconut oil.

Sharnell C. Lewison: I've recently gotten into mixing my own oils to have more control over my hair's health. I love grapeseed oil, shea oil, castor oil (black or regular), and black seed oil as base/carrier oils. My favorite essential oils are rosemary, tea tree, lavender, rose absolute, and rose hip oil. I use coconut oil as a pre-poo. It's a little greasy for me to have in my hair all the time, but it makes my hair really soft!

Marissa Campbell: I actually use grape seed oil as a pre-poo and also a sealant. I love it! I’m currently transitioning back to my curly hair and grape seed oil has left my hair detangled and super soft. Sometimes olive and coconut oil have been too heavy on my hair

Maxine Murray: This video is extremely helpful! Thank you for clarifying the difference between moisturizing oils and sealant oils. I am a big fan of my Carol's Daughter Grapeseed Oil, you should give it a try.

Julia Nell: Hi girl we have such similar hair and I ALWAYS use oils! Personally I also save Coconut oil for detangling, but whenever I can I do nightly scalp massages with Jamaican Black Castor Oil (I use the Shea Moisture brand) and I notice a HUGE difference in growth and the strength of my hair overall

Anam Ahmad: I use coconut, avocado, grape seed, almond, and olive oils mixed together and then applied as a hot oil treatment. Once or twice a week before I wash it. My hair was super damaged from the coloring and heat so it really brought back the healthy hair I had and my curls are starting to look more defined

Sabrina Graham: You're so right! Just reading the title I though... girl, you don't use oil! I'm so glad you made this video though! I've been using oils on my scalp for several months, but didn't realize the difference between oils that penetrate and oil that seal. Thank you for that knowledge!! Tip: I add a few drops of rosemary oil to my leave in conditioner because it makes it smell AMAZING and evidently, it's good for hair growth too. This also helps if you combine just one drop of rosemary oil to other oils that you don't like the smell of. It will make any oil smell wonderful!! Thanks for everything you do, Bianca!! #snapfam

Elizabeth Reices: Grapeseed, peppermint and avocado oil have been my go-to's since I've been figuring out more and more what works for my hair. I use peppermint and avacado oil together as a pre-poo scalp massage with heat for 15 mins, shampoo, DC with heat for 30 mins and do the LCO method, my O is grapeseed oil. I have low-porosity, medium, thick, wavy-curly, waist length hair. I also used JBC oil for my edges and add it to the pre-poo sometimes because I want my hair to grow thicker.

Crystal Etuk: I loved this video! It was so informative and I learned a lot about other oils. Currently I'm using an almond oil on my hair.

Mikhail Haile: I absolutely love MzBiancaRenee she’s so knowledgeable and entertaining to watch. Okay when it comes to oils I tend to use African pride’s magical gro bc it truly strengthens the cuticle as well as breaks the gel cast I have after styling. Though don’t get me wrong I’m a fan of coconut oil bc of the moisture it puts in my hair.

Bridgeeeena: I've recently started using JBCO, and i haven't noticed too much difference (since it's been recent... I 'm not expecting my hair to grow 4 inches in a month)but i've also been using it on my skin and that has been great! it's awesome for treating and preventing acne and has helped a lot with my skin discoloration.

frenchie girl in the usa: since I have done the big chop in 3/2019. I have used jojoba mixed with essential oils (lavender, sage, and peppermint) for scalp messages. I alternate with jbco as well. So far I see that the oils are helping.

Karen Reeves: Almond and Argan oil are also good ones. I mix olive oil, almond oil, grapeseed oil, avocado oil, argan oil with 15 drops of tea tree oil and use that as a hot oil treatment, pre-poo or even a sealant. Thank you for your continued support for us curlies.

Jillian Cartwright: I really love Moroccan oil. It added shine to my hair and I would put it on my wet hair and it worked for me. I don't really know all the benefits because I used it before I joined the curly hair community but it's worth a try.

1FrolishiousBaby: I always use an oil in my hair to either help with my dry scalp or to lock in moisture. For a single oil, I love grapeseed and avocado because they are cheaper than jojoba. I love JBCO and coconut but have to watch the protein. Naptural85 had an oil blend that I use every wash and my hair is in love.

Kristie Bosch: Loved this video ❤️ My 4 year old has the most beautiful curly tight locks, unfortunately I am just white but she is mixed so I had no idea what to use for the massive knots in the back of her hair! I have already subscribed and will be watching more of your videos! Thank you!

J D: Great video! Very informative and well put together. My curl type is between a 3A and 3B. I started experimenting with oils over a year ago and I haven't found the music of coconut oil like others have.. but EVOO does wonders for my hair! After it's applied it feels so soft and touchable and really helps with preventing tangles. My hair goals are to get more growth and length and less frizz. Lately, I've been doing scalp massages with EVOO + JBCO + peppermint essential oil (just 2-4 drops) before I wash my hair. I really enjoy the stimulating feel you get with the peppermint oil, and the olive oil is perfectly paired with the castor oil to easily work the roots all over. After I wash, I like to apply a few drops of EVOO to ends of the hair strands to prevent dryness and breakage.

iona buthello: I love almond oil other than the oils you mentioned it helps with detangling more than coconut (it worked better for me) and it adds shine to your hair and also I love your videos❤️

Christiana Cole: I love to add Teatrea oil to my scalp daily. I even look for it in specific conditioners that have them so I don’t have to buy dandruff shampoo/conditioners. Ren Pure makes a line with it, however it does include Silicones. I also separate my curls with argon oil to avoid frizz.

curlygirl129: I love olive oil. I always add a bit to my regular conditioner and it turns it into a deep treatment. My hair is always so soft and shiny afterwards!

Leni Sørensen: Hi Bianca, I am new here and looving your tutorials. My daughters and I have different type of curls and decided to finally learn how to better treat them :-) thanks for you help. God bless.

BiancaSaidIt: I absolutely HATE coconut oil on my hair! I love grape seed oil and jojoba oil. My daughter’s hair loves coconut oil. I’m low porosity and she’s high porosity. That could be a factor. I bought every brand of coconut oil and they ever made and still it sat on my hair and scalp like lard.

Crystal Harris: grapeseed, coconut and extra virgin olive oil are my faves! I used extra virgin olive oil as a prepoo and sat under my hooded dryer for a while (I was watching something on Netflix and loss track of time). My hair was so soft afterwards

Elivia Mirzarani: Thank you for sharing your research and saving our time the lazy ass during this quarantine i use less heat tools and thinking about restoring my natural curly hair. And this video helps me a lot! Actually i started using coconut oil few days ago and i was surprised that i see less split ends on my hair so i can't wait to try the other oils and see the result on my hair. Hugs!!

Curly Yoshi Vibes: This video just changed my life! Gave me soooo much knowledge and answered so many of my questions! I’ve been using Olive oil with Aloe as a deep conditioner and then my grapeseed as a sealant and it’s been amazing!!!

Jazmin Jordan: Coconut oil was the 2nd oil I used to pre poo & seal my hair in my natural hair journey, but I stopped using it back in 2015 or 2016 since it just laid on my hair for sealing. The 1st oil I used in my natural hair journey was the regular clear castor oil. I started using JBCO last year for sealing, but 2 weeks ago, I realized that it’s to heavy for my low porosity hair (I could be using to much). I’ve been using Mielle Organics Mint Almond Oil since December 2016, and my hair loves it for pre pooing & sealing! I might have to try avocado oil for moisturizing since I have 3c/4a hair. I haven’t used jojoba oil for sealing since last year or 2015, and I need more.

Alex Brown: I recently started using almond oil, its quite light weight and really helps me with frizz and locking in moisture. I put it on after leave in conditioner on soaking wet hair

Keisha Francis: I am a new subscriber to your channel. I am absolutely loving and enjoying your comical and informative videos. I have learnt so much and have been reminded about a lot of good practices which I abandoned but have recently revived because I love having healthy hair. Keep up the awesome work!

Devon Webb: I know this is an older video but I really loved it! I've used most of these oils on my hair but currently I do a scalp massage once a week with jbco and argan oil mixed then I use a blend of coconut and olive with rosemary, lemon and tea tree essential oils on the length of my hair. I do this the night before I clarify my hair to precondition it. During the week I will use a few drops of argan oil to keep my hair moist but at this time I avoid my scalp. Thanks! You and curlypenny are my favorites!

Aishwarya Bhardwaj: I am an Indian. In my 23 years of existence I have used coconut oil for minimum 19 years for my hair. Pre-poo with coconut oil is the best. It can help detangle as well as an overnight mask( careful with pillow cases). It can be used in deep conditioning. It's not an ideal leave in conditioner. It's great for people who are in the sun, it saves from Sun damage. Home made yoghurt , honey and a little oil is great for pre- poo mask. In Ayurveda, people used it as one of the oils used for self-massage for 15 mins before bathing. It is kind of a "me-time". I think it's called "abhyanga". Its good for lymph massage and relaxes the whole body. Then while bathing they used a paste of natural herbs which were also healing and naturally moisturised the entire body. I am going to stop here.

DeeDee Denzel: I know you went over a ton of oils but I use almond oil in my hair! I have low porosity hair and feel like it does something but maybe I should try coconut oil (I just hate having to heat it up as it's always hard because I live in a cold climate) p.s You are amazing and so is your hair

Azaria Battle: I love to use the mango and lime coconut JBCO to massage my scalp with. Its feels and smells wonderful and helped alot with healthy hair growth!

Constantina Say: I have tried almost all of them, coconut gives me hold and shine for second and third day hair (noted that ppl say it's causing build up, if u have any info about that lemme know), castor oil goes to my scalp and roots as an overnight treatment and it really helped with hair loss -I've never had so many baby hairs-, avocado is a thick oil (not as thick as castor oil but thicker than coconut oil) and my hair didnt absorb a single mL, idk why jojoba is considered lightweighted, it's actually in-between the spectrum, sebum is way more lightweighted than jojoba, and last but not least grapeseed oil, the best sealer I've ever used, yes sealer, I've never had again split ends when using this on the ends after shower and it's NOT by any means odorless, it smells kinda weird. The only odorless, or with the least intense smell, oil is almond oil which is the most lightweighted oil that my curls touched, this one penetrates and moisturizes and is a keeper

Bianca B: My list of every carrier oil and essential oil that i own is long, but a few of my favorites are coconut, avocado, rosemary, sunflower, peppermint and castor oil. Rosemary essential oil is good for hair growth, Sunflower oil is very very oily so after i deep condition i usually use a little shampoo afterwards but it is great for controlling frizz, and Peppermint essential oil is also used to stimulate hair growth as well as getting rid of dandruff. I hope this helps a lot of you

Rebecca Sam: I've been using castor oil for about 3 1/2 months and I have seen significant growth and strengthening in my hair

Curly Mckee: I used coconut oil to pre-poo my daughter's hair and OMG, amazing. I also love jojoba oil for sealing, especially when I do a protective style.

Brianna Wilcox: I love Jojoba oil! I mix jojoba oil with peppermint and rosemary essential oils to do scalp massages. I switch between using jojoba oil and almond oil and it adds shine, moisture and volume to my hair. Its a great combo when fluffing your roots with your fingers. I also use jojoba oil on the ends of my hair after refreshing my curls with a spray bottle and a leave in conditioner. It really makes all the difference for me.

JBliss: I am FINALLY getting into the LCO method for my 3b low porosity curls, and I've been searching all over to find the oil that would be good to try. Thanks for the video. I don't know why it has been so hard to find all in 1 recommendations for the LCO method for 3b hair. Oh well.

Switch스위치: I live in morroco so my mom has been giving me argan oil masks since I was a child and she always told me "As a curly girl, Argan oil+castor oil+coconut oil are your best friends. When you need a boost for your hair growth use castor oil+coconut as a mask overnight. when you need to detangle those stubborn strands of hair use Argan oil." And now 10 years later I Do not regret Keeping my hair mosturized and healthy!

Pernille Aarseth: Coconut oil broke me out when I used it as a makeup remover and my hair didn't like it either. It felt stiff and dry after I used it. So I hope olive oil will work better for my 3a/3b hair.

Vanity Posh: I love sweet almond oil as a sealant. It's also very lightweight and I use it for lotion. And my daughter loves avocado oil in her hair.

Stephanie Bell: Hey I love your videos.. you have helped me. I used Shea moisture 100% virgin coconut oil head to toe. And love it. I even used it in my husband hair he had dandruff and it help him with that.. Thank you so much for all the tips. ❤️

ים ליפשיץ: Love the video! one thing about the coconut oil-coconut oil doesn't actually contain protein, a lot of people get confused about it because coconut oil is great to prevent protein loss from the hair, but it doensn't really contain protein in it. It's just very good at keeping the protein in your hair.. (And sorry if I had some english mistakes, it's not my language)

Angelikrz: A few months ago I got Macadamia oil (Silk Elements' pure oil line to be exact). The way I use it is, after washing and styling my hair I let it dry 100%, then I apply a few drops on my hands and I fluff out my curls. Then throughout the week I apply a minuscule amount as needed, and it has tamed my frizz like crazy! (and I live in humid Florida). But now I'm curious if macadamia is considered a sealant or a hydrating oil. This was very informative!

Miss: Bianca seems to have similar hair to my own but I've found that my hair no longer tolerates heavy oils. If coconut or avocado oil is too heavy for your hair try a blend with safflower oil. I found mine at Wal-Mart, cooking oil section, for $10 and my hair is loving it. Put a little in your water bottle for refreshing and/or mix with cream of any sort. The safflower oil helps the coconut and avocado oils penetrate and really lock in the moisture. I even use it for my skin and I'm so freaking soft now.

EmpressG 555: Love all of your hair video Mz. Bianca! Your channel is my absolute favorite! I have high porosity 3b/c curls and have come to love OGX Weightless Hydration Coconut Water Oil! It helps with shine, reducing frizz while not weighing my hair down! Also need to know what products you used today as your curls are poppin!!! Your curls always look great but loving your curl definition and volume today! Please share your wisdom! ;)

karla chavez: "we're not straightening out hair anymore right?" me sitting here with straightened hair

HeldFastinChrist94: For anyone who really needs to save money: I’ve gotten castor oil, coconut oil, & avocado oil at the 99 cent store. They are only in certain ones, usually the big stores. I use oils as a pre-proo. I put them in the night before wash day

Chandra Criswell: Great video. I love and use grape seed oil and avocado oil for my braid outs. It's light and my hair comes out shiny and soft. Use JBCO oil for my edges.

LEGAL EAGLE: Bianca you are off the chain hilarious and helpful at the same time. I use vegetable glycerin. It is heavy I have been using it for years and it does weigh down my hair but when it dries I have massive shrinkage so I don't see anything that's really causing problems for me. It holds in the moisture I use it after my leave in. I apply Eco Syler Gel afterwards and it holds up. I am going to try another oil after my leave-in. I sustain a lot of moisture in my hair I allow it to air dry. I purchased a blow dryer and I am going to diffuse for my 1st time ever and hopefully I can get the full results I am looking for. My hair is long and even though I have mad shrinkage it does weigh down and the older my hair gets the more volume I get but that's after a week. I am going to get into the practice of shampooing, condition, DC every week. I got really lazy once it got longer because it took more time and its literally an "event". I am going to do better thanks go binge watching so many of your videos....

swachocolatek91: Give them oils a try girl! I used pure argan oil on it's own for years, before discovering that my hair actually looks waaaay better with other products! (So much for being low maintenance...It's the curse of joining the curly hair community lol). But now I just use it on completely dry hair to add some shine

Elese Clarke: This has helped me so much I stopped using coconut oil on my scalp and starting using black castor oil etc on my scalp and my scalp has been feeling so dry no wonder going to go back to coconut oil on my scalp x

Ira'shi White: I loooooove using sweet almond oil as a sealant when doing the LOC/LCO METHOD it leaves the hair super shiny but is lightweight and has no smell

swachocolatek91: Question to my curly girls: if my go to products for my wash n go are cream and gel on soaking wet hair, how and when would you recommend incorporating oil into my styling/product routine? I currently just use a bit of argan oil as a sealant after it's totally dry, but I feel like my hair needs some more moisture!

ALEM BALCHA: It is really a great advice & I will definitely recommend and enjoy Thanks

By Grace Beauty: I use regular castor oil and almond oil when I want a lighter feel. They both penetrate within the hour. I used evoo for the 1st 4 years of being natural, then finally got the revelation that it just sat on top of my hair and made my pillow greasy rapeseed did nothing for my hair and quickly went bad

Kayla’s Koils: I use coconut oil in my pre-poo mix and I massage JBCO in my scalp about 2-3 times a week. It helps control my dandruff and dry scalp

blulight42: There’s nothing you post that I don’t love!!! I learn so much all the time ♥️

Lyric Nash: I personally mix coconut and olive oil and it has worked really well for my hair and I also love Jamaican black castor oil

April Mitchell-Edmonds: Bianca I love all of your videos, you are most informative curl evangelist I've ever seen and my curls have never looked so good and lasted so long!

Shruti: My hair loves coconut oil. I too use it to detangle and as a hot oil treatment. It even helps in curling my hair when my hair feels limp and less ringlety.

sarra's_lifestyle: Amla oil is definitely my go to oil ! It leaves my hair shiny (!!!!!!!) and makes your hair grow quicker :D I tried coconut oil but my hair just hates it :(

thatlovelydancer Lao: Thanks. Great info. I use olive oil. After I wash with Jamaican black castor oil shampoo and conditioner , I use olive oil and moisturize, I use olive oil as a sealant. This leaves allot of hydrated curls. Beautiful shine throughout my curls

Peace and Light: My hair responds very well to apricot kernel oil and sweet almond oil. Both are great for dry hair and both soften the hair as well

Divine Levine Vegan: I used coconut oil and it made my hair kind of hard. So thank you for confirming that. I won't use it anymore on my hair. About to watch your DIY olive oil treatment. That one might work. I have low porosity, type 2B hair that is very thick, dense and coarse.

Edith Wrilliyana: In addition to all these oils, I love using essential oils, they have helped my hair, especially my scalp. I sincerely love them

Gigi Reddick: Great job.....I am going to start incorporating oils into my curly hair routine!!

Miranda: Jojoba oil is really good for fingernail care too! I rub a little around my cuticles and fingernails every morning and night. They grow stronger and faster now.

Vee'sLife: Definitely helped clarify some things for me, I have coconut oil and JBCO at home but never really knew how to use them, now I know! #SnapFam!

Hazel Hill: Yes, I love coconut oil. The cheapest I found that had no parabens, no phthalates, no mineral oil, no sulfates, no gluten and no dyes- palmers coconut oil body oil... found at target. I put in a small mist/spray bottle for a light conditioning and a little goes a long way!

Maria R: Love this!!! The controversy over oils is just so confusing! #snapfam

Gladys Zaleta: I have 4a curl pattern and my hair type loves carrot oil, olive oil & avocado oil but only after leave in conditioner has been applied all over my head. I put a quarter size oil in my hand...rub hands together and apply only to damp conditioned hair. Thanks for all your tips!

Hibo Rand: I have short soft curls and I use avocado oil after I dry my hair. It breaks the crunch and looks softer. I also use sweet almond oil. I love both those oils.

Diana Uribe: hi!!! this was super helpful information. My last oil treatment I did olive oil, shea butter oil, & black castor oil. I left that one for like 30mins I now know I should not put castor oil in that mix. I'll do my research about shea butter. But I'm wondering why my scalp is super dry. It's beeeeeeen dry since before I transitioned in 2017. I thought going natural would help my scalp a bit. I'm going to try scalp massages w the black castor oil. Thank you!!!

Amanda Heinen: I use argan oil on my ends after a JBCO and Rosemary scalp massage. I use A LOT of JBCO but it's usually as a mask before I wash. I haven't used olive oil on my hair just my body, but I'm definitely going to give it a try! Jojoba oil is my all time favorite, but I ran out

Cajel Geollo: I've always been using coconut oil ever since I was a kid and before I started my curly hair journey. It's pretty heavy in the hair but it helped my natural hair grow healthy. Somehow, I think it made my dark hair darker and shinier. I still use it up till now in my curly hair journey and I learned not to put too much so that it won't wear my hair down. But I'm still trying to find oils that will help me improve in my journey that's why I'm here. Anyway, thank you Ms. Bianca!!

NBB Ruth: I love using Coconut oil, almond oil and extra virgin olive oil to prepoo my hair. sometimes I use the 3 together other times just 1 of them based on what I've in my kitchen lol. Then I use clear castor oil to seal in the moisture ( water ) in my hair

Gears Starting: Hello, I have a question concerning coconut oil I hope anyone that would like to answer could answer. If you are looking to use coconut oil to help moisturize your hair, there are people that say you should wet the hair first and those that say you should apply it to dry hair. Which is correct?

jjjordan0216: I LOVE jojoba oil. After I wash and condition, I put kinky curly knot today in as my leave in and seal it in with jojoba oil. My hair stays moisturized for days!

Yasmine S: coconut oil was actually how I realized my hair was damaged, because before, when I applied coconut oil to my hair, it would just sit on top of it, none of it absorbed, probably cause my hair didn't need it at the time. Recently I added some coconut oil before doing a braid and not A DROP of it was in sight after I applied, and I was like? Where did you go sis? lol So I knew my hair was THIRSTY if it was absorbing something it didn't before.

cara bryce: Note for those using coconut oil, while great for penetrating the shaft of the hair, my research (googling and personal trial and error) showed that it can not be absorbed into the scalp and that it will actually create a thin layer that impedes hair growth. My recommendation keep the coconut to the ends

Silena Dunaway: I had gotten away from Coconut oil and started with grape seed, however my ends had been cut 3 x's in a year ( an inch every time) . I was told to use a cream. I instead went back to what I was using before I started getting color added again, and it is coconut oil...

Laila Yava: My hair HATES coconut oil. My hair kept getting drier and drier and breaking.

Ange N.O.: I only use vitamin E oil and or Moroccan oil for the LOC method, to take down twist and braids, and to soften my hair between wash days. They're light enough to where I can use them daily if I want (but don't) and they don't have a smell, and they absorb well in my hair.

Amanda Wilson: I discovered avocado oil last year! I love and it makes my hair soft-especially in the winter!

Beauty_Chais MUA: Rosemary oil is amazing for scalp massage before applying hair masque. I have a DIY masque that uses coconut oil, olive oil, and sunflower oil.. to seal my curls I use a olive oil/sunflower oil blend. Has anyone ever tried sunflower oil? I found out about it through research and I’ve noticed with these oils that my hair has grown after clipping an inch off just last month.
