Hey y'all so today, finally, after two years of making, you guys wait, I'm finally gon na be sharing my curly hair routine.. I am so sorry for making you guys wait so long.. I had y'all like that. Titanic meme., It's been 84 years, pero like now. It'S here., So my entire routine consists of four products.. All of the products that I use are sulfate-free, silicone-free, vegan and cruelty-free. I actually made a little mini store for you guys and it's just this huge list of all of my favorite curly hair products. So if you want to check out that list, I will link it down below in the description box for your convenience.. So without further ado, ♫let's get started. ♫ ♫let's get restarted in here♫. So the very first thing that I do before my shower is: I actually give myself a scalp massage., I like to find a good YouTube, video and then just massage my scalp. While I'm watching it. I love to watch Afope Atoyebi on YouTube. She is a trichologist which is a specialist in scalp and hair.. I have learned so much from her channel and I highly recommend you check her out. And now it is time to wash.. So the very first step, of course, is shampoo. I use the Giovanni tea tree triple treat invigorating shampoo. I buy it in bulk from my local health food store. So I can reuse my bottle and pump, but you can buy the normal bottle of shampoo at Walmart, Walgreens, Fred Meyers, it's sulfate-free silicone-free and contains aloe vera eucalyptus, tea tree, lavender and sage. After rinsing out the shampoo, I condition it's silicone-free and contains aloe vera safflower, nettle, rosemary chamomile and sage, and I use two pumps per each side.. First, I detangle with my fingers and then I detangle with a wide-tooth comb. So I rinsed that out and now we're on to styling. For styling, I use two products. I have my leave-in cream and my styler.. First I use the Rahua control cream anti-frizz curl styler. It contains aloe vera, green tea, rosemary shea butter, jojoba and hydrolyzed quinoa.. One pump is all I need, because a little goes a very long way after the cream. I detangle my hair with a brush the last product that I use is my styler and I use the kinky curly curling custard. It contains horsetail, chamomile, nettle, marshmallow, aloe vera and vitamin E.. I use a good-sized glob on each side of my head.. I smooth it down my hair first to flatten the cuticle and reduce flyaways. Then i grab a little glob work that on my hands and then I finger comb that through my hair and then I scrunch, to give them back their definition. After I style my hair. It is time to plop and no I'm not talking about taking a dookie in the toilet. I mean plopping with my wig cap. You already know. I have been doing this for almost four years now. Basically, I work all of my hair into the cap. So it's kind of scrunching, all of my hair at once, and air drying at the same time. Since I have a looser texture. It helps me to achieve more definition. I pluck for about 10 minutes, and then it is time to diffuse. So i create sections in my hair and then i diffuse each section for five minutes in total. This process takes me about half an hour. I used to only air dry, but my hair takes six hours to dry and it just got really frustrating. So i just caved in and I bought the Dyson blow dryer and honestly, i don't regret anything. It'S so freaking awesome, because now my hair can dry in two to three hours as opposed to six to seven hours and then after diffusing, I just air dry. The rest of the way, all right, so my hair is 100 dry, but you're going to notice that it looks a little bit crunchy, that's good! That'S called a cast. So now all i need to do is scrunch out the crunch, and that is my routine again. If you want to check out any of the products that I use, you can go ahead and check out my little mini store that I made for you with the link down below in the description box. Let me know down below in the comments. If you have any questions and I'll try to answer as much as I can, thank you for watching, and I hope you all have a great day. Byeeee

Earthy Reenz: Subbed for “curly penny” advice, stayed for the personality + liveliness ❤️

mystic fawn: I’m Puerto Rican and growing up the women in my family would always straighten there curly hair. My mom used to straighten my hair almost everyday. So, any advice ?? please

sherb: i will never stop being amazed by your patience with your hair

Mariam Alzain: Thank you! I’ve been trying so hard to find the perfect products for my curly hair. But thankfully I saw this video and it saved my hair.

Jennifer Brito: Your intro made me laugh so hard. I loveeee your hair. I have been waiting for your updated wash routine for a while so thank you ♥️

Madeline Copeland-Rodriguez: Thank you for putting out an updated version!! I've got a question though. So I use DevaCurl's supercream and do finger coils all around my head--when should I do that according to your routine? Should it be right after scrunching your hair with that kinky curly custard and before plopping with the net? Or should it be right after the net? Or maybe skip the scrunching in general and just do the finger coils (idk). My finger coils work best when my hair is wet so I normally do it like right out of the shower so I don't know if the net would dry it too much so I'm curious to what you'll say. Thank you so much for everything, I never had anyone to teach me anything (helpful) about my hair, your videos have been a lifesaver, though I've got a lot more progress to make!

maggie_xoxo: Thank you for your lists! I'm so ready to try some of your recommendations!

R S: this made me feel so nostalgic :') you're the reason i started wearing my hair natural and embrace my curls. now i don't even remember the last time i straightened my hair.

holisticmaya: Love that your routine is relatively simple, minimal products! Could you do a video using Uncle Funky’s daughter? I’ve been curious to see it on your hair, I’m thinking of trying them out!

Leah Schroeder: Aaahhh I love that most of these products are affordable and easy to find! You’re the best!

Monica Gasca: Yay ! I was so excited for this your hair looks amazing and so long you should trying using the hover diffuse method by Manes by Mel ! It’s amazing

C Hawkins: Ok so this is the first tutorial I found for someone with the same kind of curly hair as me that is SIMPLE AND TO THE POINT BECAUSE I AM LOST AND CONFUSED AND HAVE NO IDEA WHAT I AM DOING!!! but one question, do you do this every day? if not how do you sleep/deal with it the next day?

krauserthethird: That sad moment when you live in a third world country and you can't find almost none of the good products, and in sites like amazon or ebay they're way too expensive :(( Pero igual, me encanta tu canal, Penny!

apryl.connors: Hi Penny, I recently found your channel, one of your videos popped while I was scrolling. How did you get your hair so long? I'm trying to grow mine just down past my chest. Thanks girl, keep rocking that hair!

Markus Meyer: HOLD ON! That plopping net thing is revolutionarily GENIUS! WAIT A MINUTE!! Girl you need to claim this idea if you came up with it and start your own hair concept company where you sell those nets, because for curly girls this is SO DOPE!!! It'll solve so many issues!!!! OMG!! Where can I get it ? Is it a DIY ???? WHERE ? HOW ? I WANT IT NOW!

Morris Morales-Mejia: Hey Penny! Thanks for sharing your 2021 hair care routine. I was wondering, how often do you wash your hair?

Jen Abraham: So happy to see you embracing the capsule wardrobing. It will really save you a lot of time and mental energy

Luna44: Thank you so much for making a little storefront <3 Had a really bad few months of hair problems.

YJ20145: It looks like this is the most gorgeous your hair has ever been

Lonely Potato: My mom has curly hair and her sister has curly hair, my mom’s youngest sister or my youngest aunt doesn’t have curly hair, but her hair is wavy which I guess you could consider curly because wavy is technically part of the curly family. I have hair that is similar to hers, so I’ve recently started using curly hair products, my mom has helped me find some good products. I’m excited to see what my hair will look like after I use them for a while :)

Stephanie Garcia: Definitely trying out all those products. Thanks penny

Dude Idk: this woman is literally beyond beautiful

kgstudioproductions: Love the simplicity!!

ESMERALDA VERDIN: I enjoy watching all your videos! Love your personality.. I'm trying everything! After a Deva products curl experience, it still dries up and tangles so much. I need the moisture back. I appreciate you sharing..

kame lia: Penny, you should do so much more video for curly hair! I have curly hair and there was a lot of thing that I didn't know until I started watching your videos.. (I also didn't know I had curly hair until recently)...

Alina Davidyan: I worked at the Grocery outlet that your mom frequently shops at, she was the sweetest Mexican mom out of the many that shopped there ☺️ whenever she went through my line, I would always think she looks so familiar, then I realized that it’s Penny’s mom! She couldn’t stop telling me about how proud she is of you and promised me that you would find time in your busy schedule to come say hi, but hey I got this close to meeting you! Much love !

Raindrop mix: I LOVE WATCHING YOU GROW♡♡

Anna Maria: Happy to see you again Penny <3

-*: Girl you are glowing!

ladiiindi: You definitely did create net plopping which is genius and my hair lives by! You the goat for that

Tetz: The moment I have been waiting for love you girl

Людмила Мироненко: Thanks for the video! With your videos I started my curly journey 2 years ago and even now when I decide to buy something new American curly product, I am checking maybe you've already made a review on it. The last what I want to ask - Do you continue using solid hair product like shampoos and conditioners? In my country (Ukraine) we don't have such kind of store where we can take shampoo or smth in our own bottle( but there are a lot of shampoo bars.

Andreina Munoz: So happy to be seeing your videos! ❤ Love the jacket too!

Dolliekiss: Can you do a next day routine? Or what you use to refresh your curls the next day?

DrDianaBrain: Hi Penny, I have the same hair texture and (almost) length as you! How often do you wash and condition your hair?

Abeer Khalid: Thank you!!! I follow your routine but when I apply the dippity do gel I notice scalp itching . And my curls are super flats when my hair dries

Marianellyy Diaz: Yayyy I love your curls and your length ! So beautiful

Jade Braendle: Giovanni is one of my favorite brands! I get them at Marshall’s. I wish I had a store around me that I could buy bulk shampoo to cut down on waste! We don’t even have a health food store ‍♀️

Chats With Ny: Love it!! Thanks for finally sharing

riley sunderland: My stylist got me hooked on Giovanni’s mousse, and this is make me wanna try their other products!!

THAT_GRUNGE_GIRL: I have almost the same hair routine

Rachel Andrade: I used to love the Pacifica pineapple curls shampoo and conditioner but they changed the formula and the conditioner isn’t as hydrating enough for my hair anymore Did you have the same experience if you used the new formulas?

ibrebecca: This is so helpful!

juliana: omg, your hair is so beautiful! i wonder what you did to make it look more wavy than curly.

Frances Keller: Love this routine and The Penny Store

Nesrin Aly Aly: I love your hair do not cut it .. it looks so healthy .. i am in the middel of my hair jouney and cutting all the colored damedged hair of mine ... it s been 2 years and 2 months and i am still going .. people like u give me hope ..

Daya Brittany: THANK YOU PENNY!!!! ❤❤❤❤

Egypt: The aggressive scrunching sent me Love you Penny!!

Rena McLaughlin: How often do you wash your hair? Also how often do you get trims or dustings? I’m trying to grow my hair out so any advice is welcome for that

Kala's Stage: Gorgeous hair!

Hazel Carias-Urbina: Hi Penny! I've been watching your channel for awhile now ☺️ and I want to ask if any parts of your hair are not curly? I have 2c type hair and usually the back of my head turns out flat, even after styling. What can I do?

Liz: I just bought Giovanni and man it’s good stuff. Keeps my hair cleaner for longer, while other shampoos would either leave my hair greasy or super stripped. FINALLY

Cilla: I'm so jelly of your hair. It's just curlier and more consistent than mine. My wavy/curly hair is loose and never dries the same twice. Even when I plop. XD

Aneesah az: Can you try the costco kirkland sing nature moisture shampoo and conditioner? apparently it’s made from the same warehouse as olaplex (from tiktok lol)

Lyla Boice: Hey Penny, I'm someone who has eczema, and most eczema creams have dimeticone or petrolatum. Can you suggest any silicone free eczema creams ?

Sophie Alexa: My hair is currently 17 inches long from the root... I’m dying to have it your length. One day God Also I ordered kinky curly and thanks to brexit it got sent back, I got refunded and now I’m stuck with Curlsmith (which I DO like..) but I think it’s drying out my hair due to the amount of perfume. Sad days

earthangel: Me: *has the hair length of half an inch* but watching cuz I love Penny & getting prepared for when my hair grows back in like 3 years lol

Erica Parsons: Finally lol! You definitely make my night! ❤

Doris Dimitrova: Hey girl! Do you have any recommendations on loosening the curl up a bit with method/products?

Jaylaaa a: your curls are always popping

America Sanchez: Hey, are there any coconut oil free shampoo and conditioners you would recommend? I have been using the shea moisture coconut and hibiscus line for years, but I now have to switch it up as we recently discovered that my girlfriend is allergic to coconut oil. Thank you!

beloved: I don't have curly hair, but mine is wavy and i have to say that Giovanni saved my scalp from flaky itchy dandruff! My hair was more bouncy, it was a lifesaver! i highly recommend it
