Hey y'all: what's up, it's Alicia welcome back to my channel, so in today's video I'm going to be sharing Valerie's curly, hair routine. I have been getting so so so many questions about what her curly hair routine is, and how do I get her curls to be so just defined and juicy and moisturized and to last all week long. So that's what today's video is all about, sharing how I stick across from being super dry and tingled to boy stur, eyes, detangled juicy curls! So let's go ahead and jump right into it, as you guys saw. I just took her points Hill down. That was that she had in her hair for school. I do her wash day routine twice a week, mainly because I don't want to you - know shampoo, her hair too much and dry. Her hair out two days a week seems to work the best for Valerie's hair. I used to do it like every other day for a while, but I just realized that to keep her hair moisturized and not dry out too much today's a week, Orcs best for her. So I'm using the can't sue, kids nourishing shampoo for her hair. I'Ve been using this like a about a year and a half now and it works so so so good for her hair it gets her. Hair is super duper clean, and this shampoo, I can work for a route all the way to the tip and her hair. Does not dry out at all, so I just shampoo her hair. I make sure every single strand of hair is lathered because with Valerie in the way she runs around and just rolls all over the floor like I want to make sure her hair is totally clean. Y'All, like it's imperative that her whole head be clean and her scalp is totally clean, so I just make sure that I massage her scalp. I worked the shampoo all over her scalp and I also work it down towards the ends so I'll. Just shampoo, you know from root to tip - and I also section off her hair, half and half just to make sure her hair is completely lathered in shampoo. So once I'm done shampooing Valerie's hair, I just rinsed that all out and I'm just using a plastic cup, just a cheap old plastic cup to rinse her hair out with water she's. Fine at this stage now where she can face the Oh long enough for me to rinse her hair out with just the cup in some water I used to have to like lean her head back by the water faucet, but now she's at the point where I Can just say: Valerie put your head back and she'll actually put her head back for at least a few minutes just enough time for me to be able to wash out her shampoo and conditioner. So I love this because it saves me so much more time and it really does allowed me to get all of the shampoo out her hair so now and on to conditioner. I'M using the can two kids nourishing conditioner, and I just started using this on her hair a few weeks ago and I have like instantly fallen in love with it prior to trying this conditioner out. I wasn't really in love with any conditioners for her hair. I would try different ones out, but there wasn't one that really caught my attention, but then I tried this one and y'all. This conditioner is the bomb.com. It makes her hair feel like butter. So it's super easy to detangle her hair and her hair just feels so soft and so manageable and it just really hydrates her curls, so her hair just stays hydrated like for so much longer. Her curls are like instantly defined and you guys can see. I'M working. My fingers through her hair, so you tangle her curls, but it's like taking no effort really at all, because this conditioner has so much slips. So I would highly recommend trying this conditioner out for your little toddlers and you guys will see. I did pink Walker, hair in sections, maybe like two or three sections just so that way. I'M not you know, pulling all of her hair at one time or putting too much tension on her hair, and you guys will also see that whenever I am detangling her hair, especially whenever I gets like an area where there are a lot of tangles I'll hold Her hair at like the base of the section so that way, I'm not pulling her hair too hard because I treat her hair like I would treat my hair. I'M super gentle with her and I want for her to get annoyed at me or you know, being pain. So I will just be super gentle when detangling and I'll host her hair in certain areas or hold the basis or any areas. So that way, she doesn't feel me actually getting the tangles out by the way y'all. I hope you guys are loving gallery spaces and, like everything she's doing in this video, just as much as I am because that girl is hilarious, like I don't think, y'all realized how funny Valerie Valerie is. She is so funny, she's, always singing and just making faces and like counting and practicing her letters like she is a whole mood. So I hope you guys are enjoying all of her funny goofiness as much as I am in this video but yeah. These are her curls once the conditioner has been rinsed out, and I just love how her curls look in feel after the conditioner is out because they look so juicy and so defined and her hair really is as soft as it looks. Look at that hang time. Y'All, my baby's hair is growing, so this wash day routine has definitely been working so well for her all right so on to styling her hair. I don't only date too much when it comes to hairstyles for Valerie, because I like to keep it pretty simple. So first I apply the Hansen, kids conditioning detangler, and this stuff is great just to make sure that all of the tangles are out of her hair. It allows me to work my fingers through her hair and just get all those extras, tangles or knots that you know may still be in there out. So I do that first and then I apply a leaving conditioner and I'm using the Cantu kids leave-in conditioner. Pretty much all the same, bringing across the board from shampoos a conditioner to leave-in conditioner I to keep things pretty uniformed because they work really well together. So I apply that in her hair as well, and I apply generous amount, because I want to make sure that every strand of hair is coated. Leave-In conditioner and Valerie has a pretty thick head of hair, so I have to apply a lot of leaving conditioner and the area for her that needs the most TLC is in the middle back section of her hair. That'S because sometimes she'll sleep on her back, so that area will get pretty tangled. Her hair is very much like me, where, like the top layer, is like a looser texture, so it's easy to detangle and kind of work product through her hair, but the middle to back section of her hair is a little bit coarser and it just gets tangled A lot easier and it gets dry fast, so I have to make sure I focus a lot of product in the back to middle section of her hair. That'S just how it's always been, and I noticed that whenever I really give that area more TLC like that area right there that I'm working my fingers through that section right, there is the the hardest part to get moisturized. So I focus on that area specifically, and I've noticed that her hair stays moisturized, including that area for much longer. Whenever I do so, that's my way of moisturizing, her hair and now it's time to style it, and here I was just doing something super simple because, like I said, I keep her hair styles fairly simple. I just did like two ponytails up top and then I let the rest of her hair out and instead of doing like a middle part, I did a side part. So one section is on purpose smaller than the other section, and it's like to change it up between middle parts. Side parts, because I don't want for her hair to be used to being parted in just one way that can cause damage to the hair and costs. Are here to thin out, so I switch her parts around a lot for that reason. So I'm just you know parting, her err and I'm just putting the sections in saponin sale. It'S a very basic, very simple hairstyle, but it was so cute and her hair is so moisturizing juicy. You guys will see how cute it is at the very end, oh and I forgot to show the product that I was using, but I am using a little bit of the cancer kids curling cream to help define her curls. So it's just a curling cream. I saw creamy product that I'm so applied before putting her hair in see ponytails, and this will kind of help. Her ponytail stay for at least a few days. So I do that, and it also does help the curls to no be more defined and set in place for the back section of her hair. Since I'm going to let that hair, you know just stay out, I'm applying a little bit of the Camaro's Naturals curl maker to her curls, because this gives her curls even more definition, and it does help her curls last for quite a while. It really does give a good hold and does not dry her hair out at all. So I apply a little bit. You guys saw it wasn't a whole lot of gel at all, but it really does work well for her hair I'll even apply a little bit of the Camaro's Naturals curl maker to her ponytail, just to make her curl super bouncy and to last longer, and then. Lastly, I'll just use my hands to kind of bounce, her curls upwards. That way everything is super bouncy and super defined yeah. This is the final product. You guys hope y'all enjoy it at today's video and enjoyed following along on Valerie's wash day Valerie's curly, hair routine. As always, if you guys enjoyed today's video, please give it a thumbs up and subscribe. If you guys haven't already and as always, I love y'all have a wonderful day, and I will talk to you all the next video bye, guys

AlishaWilliams: For the few people who are asking if the water is “dirty”... I wash her hair as soon as she gets in the tub before she gets her bath. So it’s a tub FULL of clean water. She’s also a toddler who gets antsy so I like to stick with the method that works for her/us! It’s quick, easy and her hair is THRIVING because of it :)

Melissa Lang: I'm not a parent, but I still watched this because she is precious! And she's lucky to have such a loving mama. XOXO

Arkia Kameal: The joys of having a little girl! Her natural curls are everything! ♥️♥️

MzFine 1: Do you really know how blessed you are? No, for real Alisha girl do you really know? I'm sure you do. What a precious gem you have in your life to keep you motivated and full of laughter! Val's hair has outgrown my natural hair! I'm going to need to know the secrets! I absolutely mean it every time I tell you, how much I love your channel!❤️

kacie solis: I don’t have this type of hair, I don’t have a kid with this type of hair but the girl was so cute I couldn’t help it and had to watch it

Shae Williams: This is the cutest video ever. Val is like this little independent lady. I can't believe how fast she has grown. You're doing a phenomenal job raising her.

Revonia Keel: This is so cute can't wait to have kids in the future. Hopefully a little girl and we can do our little wash days and stuff together

Cady.Garrison: As a mama with pin straight hair, learning how to maintain tight curls was honestly such a struggle! My twins have tight little ringlets and they hate having their hair touched in the first place, so trying to wash and detangle seemed impossible- especially after their matted bed head smh. But your videos help SO much!! Thank you a million

Angelique' Reed: You are such a good mommy. You did a good job on Val's hair. Be blessed.

Cheila Cruz Martins: I’m not a mom or have curly hair but I had to watch the whole video for the cuteness overload. She’s beautiful and so well behaved. And your voice is very soothing ❤️

Holly Lou: This is so helpful. I have a mixed race daughter with almost identical texture. I'm out here educating myself as much as possible, mine is curly but nothing in comparison to these beautiful 3c curls. Yours is one of the best vids I've found so I appreciate you!

Velecia Erwin: Glad to see you Miss. Valerie. Seeing how much you’ve grown is such a delight

NChrist IStand: Hey Alisha!! Val has grown tremendously and also her hair has grown too. I'm so glad that you had a daughter that brings you so much joy. I see it every time you interact with her, even when you wash her hair. God knew what He was doing when He gave you a girl. He knew that Val would be the one to bring so much joy, happiness and much more, He just knew!!

Svellah: She's so incredibly cute and her hair is absolutely beautiful!

Loc'd Biker: Her faces are so funny. She has so much of personality. I love it. She is also being so good. Great job Mom!

Laura: So I have a 4 month old that’s pretty much bald and blonde so don’t I relate to this video whatsoever but SHES SOOOOOOOOOO CUTE OMG

haweygs: OMG! Your baby’s hair is so beautiful! Don’t perm it ever! So many of us black women think our hair can’t grow long but your baby’s hair is proof that it does.

Emily Irene: Valerie 's hair looks so healthy and curly! She was having a great time and the faces are so cute! I can't believe how much she has grown! So cute, look at that sweet face!

Dana Foster: Oh gosh, what a beautiful baby and her hair routine is quite simple! Thanks for the tips

soilgrasswaterair: *Thanks for sharing, and it’s lovely to see how gentle you are while doing her hair!* Some parents are so rough with their children’s hair and it’s so sad to see how awful it is for the child, and if they try to share it hurts some parents will get annoyed and say something passive agressive to the camera about the child.

DailyDavis: I love Cantu! Her hair is looking amazing!! I have the exact same section especially with the problem section and it’s the most annoying because I’m old enough to do my hair myself and I can’t do the back as well as I wish too! Thank you for this video

S E: So adorable and Val's curls are poppin! I am about to use her routine for myself and I am way grown lol! So beautiful!

Becca: She is just so gorgeous!! Looking just like her mommy

Cassandra B: She’s adorable!! I love how she sits so nice while you comb her hair. Good job mommie on caring for yourself and your adorable daughter. Your mother did and great job raising you and in return you do the same for your precious baby. God Bless you and your family.

Ari Ramirez: She is so cute ! Loved this video ... my daughter is mixed and I’ve still been trying to find what routine works for her curls I loved this video definitely gonna try the Cantu shampoo and conditioner

Jasmine Herder: I am so happy I found this video. My daughter has the EXACT same hair type and I was searching high and low to find a video like this that’s extremely helpful!!❤️

Elle: Val is still the cutest lil thing ever!!! I really missed watching her grow up from the vlogs but these will do. and look at that head of hair?! gorgeous

SHAY2DAA: Yes I totally enjoyed seeing her adorable self. Valerie is the cutest!!!

DEBRA'S PLACE: She is such a doll with beautiful hair! Great video.

Jo Gg: Those gorgeous bouncy hydrated curls!! Good job mumma!

I’ve been using Shea moisture products for her at the moment but I plan on going back to Cantu once those are done and I wanna try other products from that brand too so thanks for this video.

Living On Purpose 🌻: Aww Valerie is growing so much. What a beauty ❤️

J V: So adorable! Seems like a special bonding time between the two of u!

Stacy Bee: I would love more kid videoed my little great niece has type 4 cute coils and I need to learn to care for her beautiful hair. Your daughter is such a bundle of joy. ♥️

Brittany Morrison: Love your routine. I would just say it might be even better to wash her hair once a week. Too much washing can actually dry out her hair and less washing lowers manipulation which can help with hair growth. I wash and condition my daughters hair once every week and a half and keep it in braids in between. (Just advice that you don’t have to take) lol you’re an outstanding mom and she’s so beautiful

Nelda Nuñez-Corte: She's just precious, so well behave!

Picture Queen: Just found your channel. It was in my suggestions. What a precious baby girl Valerie is (Hope I spelled that correctly) Thank you for this very informative video! I look forward to more!

Jalynn Williams: First video of yours I’ve seen and you two are so adorable ❤️ The only thing you were missing with her hair was some cute, little clips. I would have died more from cuteness. You should also watch iamtraeh. She does videos for wash day routines with her daughters. It may give you an idea of other products to use for your daughters’ hair.

Danielle Tesiero: Your daughter is adorable and her hair routine seems really healthy

Amanda Edwards: She is such a beautiful little girl! I love her little curls ❤️

Gracious B: My daughter is currently 6 months and has curls like your daughter. I watch these to help me learn how to maintain it and keep it defined. Her hair is pretty long for a 6 month old hopefully it keeps growing and stay curly ! Thanks for the tips your daughter is beautiful

Keisha C: Wow, her hair is so long and pretty!

TRINA Wynham: Valerie is doing great, I’m still struggling and my daughter is 10. I hate shampoo day.

madalyn _: You have a gorgeous daughter. You seem like such an incredible mom

Madison Robinson: I use all of the same things and they work really well. For example my hair was so bad before and when I used this stuff it worked so well. By the way I have curly hair

Hey, I'mValarie: Beautiful name she's so freaking cute, playing with her little bath toys. My baby girl just turned two a few weeks ago, she juuuuuuust has enough hair for a whale spout on top lol.

Tamika Nicole: OMG! THIS IS TOO DARN CUTE! I LOVE VAL’s HAIR!

CocoB: She's totally your twin(I'm sure you hear that often LOL). Little beauty! Love her hair

Hailey Lancaster: I use Cantu as well. It works wonders for my hair!

Ty Pretty: Wow Val is such a big girl now. She’s so cute ❤️

Alethia Edwards: Val hair is so beautiful. She is growing nicely.

AhhH!: I’m glad that experience of mom doing her hair is being continued. I’m not black but this is a nice experience ethnic people have. I forgot how pleasant it was, I mostly remember bad parts I still recall that bc I ended up going to a white school but since none of them had such hairstyles, boys would pick at the beads and elastics. And girls and teachers would give me looks and stare.

jess_me_myself: We also use the Cantu kids products. I just started using mixed chicks deep conditioner in the trial size from Target N we love it also❤️ Val is beautiful

Alicia Schimmel: Val is so beautiful! Her hair is everything!

NGrace3026: How cute! I recently came across your channel and I’ve been binge watching your videos. Your daughter is beautiful! My daughters name is also Valerie she is 7 years old and she has the same curls as your Valerie lol. Was your back on fire after washing her hair in the tub? Mine usually is, when I know he hair is extra knotted i wash my daughters hair in the kitchen sink. (Clean the sink very well, and I lay her on the counter.) the struggle but I wouldn’t have it any other way. Loving your videos, god bless Xoxo

Di Vill: She’s such a doll ♥️

Satoria Dillon: How cute I use Cantu products on my girls natural hair!!
