Boys Curly Hair Routine
Hey guys! I know I'm a little off schedule and haven't posted in a little while! So sorry for my delay in posting, but I was away on a much needed vacation last week. I was trying my best to prepare some videos for you guys prior to my trip, but unfortunately the time escaped me!
Anyway, I'm back with a new video! In this one, we have a special guest, my son Zyel. He is here to get a little deep conditioning treatment and style from his First Class Curly Mommy! Why making that thing? Hey guys! Thank you so much for stopping by and checking out today's video. So today I have a special treat for you, guys I'm actually going to be doing a curly hair routine on my son's il so this cute little handsome guy is in desperate need of a curly hair treatment. So, as you can see, his curls have suffered a lot from all the summertime fun of it going in and out of the pool going to the beach. So it's definitely time to give him a nice little deep conditioning treatment before we get into the actual routine. I'M gon na show you guys what we will be using to condition and style his hair. First up, I will be using the Maui moistures hair masque to deep condition is here and then we'll be styling with the Shea moistures kids line the mango and carrot styling, smoothie and, of course, we'll be using the ultimate moisturizing product h2o. We are starting out with hair that has been washed with shampoo. However, his hair has not been conditioned yet so, as you can see, it's very dry in desperate need of moisture, I'm gon na start by spritzing his hair, I'm just gon na read what his hair. So we can start the conditioning process, so I'm gon na start by applying the mask to his hair. I'M just gon na take about a quarter sized amount and just kind of spread it all through his hair and then just to make sure that his hair is coated and that the treatment does its job. While it's sitting his in his hair, I'm just gon na section it off and then just kind of curl it in place. So I know that being a mom. Of course, I would say that my son is the most handsome little boy in the world because he's my son, of course, but come on guys, look at that cute little face, wouldn't you say he's so cute put a little boy emoji in the comics. If you agree and then once I do, that I'm going to apply a plastic cap on his head and let the treatment sit in for about 30 minutes, look at that face, isn't he so cute, alright! So after the treatments it's in his hair for 30 minutes we're going to rinse it out. So this is where we are now, as you can see much much better than what it was looking like when we first started so now we're gon na get into styling and we'll be using, as I mentioned, the Shea moistures mango and carrot styling smoothie. So this stuff smells really really nice. However, it is SuperDuper thick, so it is a bit challenging to apply to his hair, but I'm going to do my best by breaking it in so I spread it out and then I just rake it in and continue to rake in product until I feel like Every strand has been coated in the product and then I'm going to just finger coil some of the pieces that I feel need a little help with definition and once I finished that and I feel like his hair styled to my liking - we're just gon na allow It to air dry and once it's air dried, we'll be back to see the final results, and this is a close-up of his curls nicely moisturized and styled. So now we're back with his hair 100 % dry, and now I'm just going to fluff it out a little bit and kind of shape it and here's a close-up of the final results, super moisturize the find and shiny. He's getting more rambunctious and HATES wash/detangle day :( I had no experience with curly or textured hair until I had biracial children, and now that I feel that I have the hang of it he is saying he wants hair like daddy's (high and tight) I'm worried that if I cut his hair similar to your son's that his beautiful bouncy ringlets won't ever grow back. So, my question to you is... if I get the sides of his hair cut and faded with clippers, but leave the top longer to keep some curls.. will the hair on the sides change curl pattern long term?
