Are you right, tay, yes, mochi's ready, i'm ready, you're, ready, we're ready, hey guys, welcome back to my channel! Thank you so very much for watching. Today we have mochi who has decided to go off set today. Uh diva am i right? Yes - and we have my cousin lo hi everyone, my name's logan like and you said i am her cousin. I just moved to atlanta to start my job as a nurse on the front line to dry a crazy couple of months, but i'm here with you today and what are we going to be doing? We are going to see if we can make my hair curly by em. So ever since middle school, my hair has always had awkward waves. You can see like yeah, so you usually get out of the shower and just blow dry with a brush. Or what do you do? I rake a wet brush through my hair, india would cry. I usually rip out some of my hair just because i'm in a brush, okay, but i brush all the tangles out. It really is not a very pretty process and then i just blow dried and go or i just let it air dry and go okay. Well, we're gon na try something different today, so i'm gon na have you pop in the shower. I will show you what shampoo and conditioner to use. I will show you guys what we use on her hair and i'm gon na use a mask as well to kind of like really hydrate and help get those juicy juicy hair and um. And then we will pop into the styling wow and biggest of thank yous to skillshare for sponsoring a part of today's video. We will get to that in a little bit, but first a little hint or what's coming up later, hola como estas, oh bien, pia and e2 muy bien. Okay, so i walked logan through the world of waves and curls it was it overwhelming. It was honestly more complicated than i expected take it away. So, first of all, i had no idea you were supposed to put shampoo only on your roots. You'Ve been shampooing the ends. Yes, oh girl, i've always just shampooed my whole hair drying it out, and today india taught me that was horribly incorrect. I used india's, not your mother's curl talk, curl care shampoo and only put it on my roots and i massaged it in the sides top and back next i had her use the fukai conditioner. This was phenomenal. Once again, i had no idea you were just supposed to use conditioner on your ends. Right and india did a very good job of explaining it to me that conditioner is heavy, so you can't just put it all in your hair. My life has been a lie until now, and i just told her my hair has never felt so soft good. It was phenomenal, makes me so just tickle pink. Then we did a little masking moment. Okay, so i had no idea what a hair mask was. I was very confused. I was like you have to do what um, but i lathered, probably 50 50 of you say it shea moisture, manuka, honey and yogurt hydrate and repair power protein treatment to put protein in my hair. I didn't know your hair was supposed to eat and maui moisture shea butter hair mask and they were amazing. So i stood in the shower for about 15 minutes and let this sit um and kind of scrunched. My hair as i went and watched netflix. That'S perfect. Um and then india made me turn on the freezing cold water to rinse it out. Do you want to explain the science behind that for those of you who are new to this channel uh? If you have porous hair, which i just kind of assumed that you did, because you told me number one - that your hair dries very quickly, which typically means that your hair is highly porous um. And you highlight your hair, which, typically, even if you don't have highly porous hair, leads to porosity so um. I went ahead and had her rinse with cold water to seal in all that moisture and lock it in which is probably why your hair feels so soft, because if you rinse that with hot water, you're kind of just then losing the conditioner that you just put In it and it's pointless, you see yeah science science, then, when logan popped out of the shower, i had to put on one of these aquas turby towel twists. Take this bad boy off! You guys are about to see my glorious hair. You tell i don't know how to do hair no you're doing great wow, look at it all ready. So what i'm gon na have you do is flip your head to the side scrunch up amazing. I always knew i was a curly girl. Okay, flip your head to the other side, because i don't want you to lose too much water just yet eddie go buy them. Her hair is so long, i'm so jealous. It looks so good. Now we're gon na apply our styler. So what i want you to do is apply your. This is a spritzer, so this is called playa endless summer spray. It'S like a southern sea salt spray, and i'm just going to have you just spritz. I can i just spray it yeah. Let'S do it just just like a little bit, it kind of just helps add a little bit of like texture. India has an amazing bathroom by the way. Thank you. It was in heaven wow um, so we're going to use the not your mother's curl talk line cream and gel i'm going to have you do this? Okay, so that you can actually replicate it a little more okay, great mix it in your hands, slip to the side and scrunch that in scrunch that and get it. Oh, this feels weird get it girl. Okay, now go flip through those quick, quick, great look at this. Oh, come on how pretty okay, now we're gon na apply some gel so with the gel. What you want to do is it's called the praying hands right, so you're gon na put a little bit of jaw on your hands and then what you're gon na do is kind of like smooth it over your hair cuticle, not in a straightening way. That'S right, but just cut yeah, so don't compress no just kind of yeah, because it's like an outer layer got it protection wow, keep going. Okay, great, put it between my hands and i'm gon na pray, but not hard. It'S not. We have to re-scrunch a bit. No, no you're good you're good. Don'T worry! We got that flip over yeah so that you still have some we're gon na finish her off with the old scrunch and go look. People look at my hair. Look get it in all its glory, we're already seeing improvement. Now, what i'm gon na do is get um the diffuser, okay and we're gon na just diffuse this baby out all right. So what i did was i just added two little pin curls by taking her hair wrapping around and adding um a bobby pin in because this front piece i would imagine you either straighten it a lot blow dry. It straight a lot so that the front looks really straight and it is like i mean slightly heat damaged because it's not curling as well as the rest of your hair. So we just you know, want to add a little. Have you ever diffused? No, never wait! Really yeah really so this is a diffuser, it's beautiful, um. Everyone uses diffusers differently. Some people will disagree with my methods, but it works for me. So what i like to do is literally just oh wow pop your hair in and then you just hold it. So the thing that creates frizz with your hair is moving it around a lot, so you literally just want to leave it in there. Let it like coil up and not get frizzy. So i'm going to leave you to this, i'm going to leave you to defuse and i'm going to pop right on over to the skillshare portion of today's video and then we will pop back and see your results muy bien. Now, let's take a commercial break to hear from today's sponsor, as previously mentioned, today's video is brought to you by skillshare. I love love working with them. Look at that! After are. We shook shaken shook it to the core. I mean i am her. Hair turned out so beautiful, so wavy, it's still slightly damp um, but it's fine. So what we're gon na do now is kind of like scrunch out the cast that we have flip our head over really get some nice volume, and then we will show the finished result. I like i'm shook it looks so pretty so healthy. So, like i feel like it looks thicker personally. No, it definitely does. I think it looks a lot thicker. So how do you feel be honest like? Are you surprised, i'm surprised. Okay, it was surprisingly easy. Okay, cool, that's the most surprising part. It'S like. I could totally do this right and i hate curling, my hair, because it takes forever it's just too much trouble and i always burn my hair. I think this suits you better than a real curling iron situation, because it just looks a lot more like natural and beachy, which is you like your natural beachy yeah. I am in case you didn't know what be honest, just lay it on the people. I think conclusion is: i will definitely do this every now and then because it's fun it's so different and i want to shock my friends. My best friend from high school has super super curly hair yeah. So i can't wait for her to see it and just freak out and be like. Oh my god, i think the conditioner was my favorite because it made my hair really soft, yep um, i'm glad i learned what a hair mask is and the science behind it. I'M big on science and understanding feeding your hair, basically like a plant right, is really good for your hair, which i will definitely do more of conclusion is if you have straight wavy, hair that you've never even been able to get to hold a heat curl try This try it biggest of thank yous again to skillshare for partnering with us on today's video and mi pelo es resado. My hair is curly. Clearly i have a lot to learn but um until next time, we'll see you soon. I always do this bye, guys, bye, bring it in. Yes,

Miracle: "my life has been a lie" every curly girl after trying the curly girl method

Gingieandskye: India I'm a 70 year old woman with alot of thin blonde (turning white) hair. The last few years have been tortuous washing and drying my hair. It's like I'm ripping it out. I started using some of your recommended products especially shea moisture. Who knew. I have major curly hair. I love it. Can't imagine how it will be when I follow more of the steps. Thank you India. It doesn't matter how old you are.

xfortunesquex: Absolutely stunning! I love seeing someone discover what their hair's real texture is. Also, thank you for all that you do as a nurse, Logan ♥ We need good, kind people in the medical field!

Anja Danielle: This gives me such hope for myown hair! When my hair is wet or damp, it has some nice waves and curls, but once it dries, the curls just fall out and it looks almost straight (especially on my front face-framin pieces). This has baffled me for a long time because I don't brush my hair (just finger combing in the shower) or use any kind of heat on it (just let it air dry). I have wanted to try some products to help keep the texture of my waves in, but whenever I go to stores or research products I get easily overwhelmed and end up not getting anything. After watching India's video about Not Your Mothers Hair Styling products, I have tried the Not Your Mother's Leave-in Conditioner, and I notice a difference in my hair! And now seeing this video with more defined results, I can't wait to get my hands on more of this brand's products! Thank you for sharing!

Desiray Pearl: India is who pretty much taught me I have wavy/curly hair. I legit had no idea for almost 30 yrs of my life. My ends were always frizzy... it would never straighten or hold heat curls. It’s been a game changer. I still wash my hair every other day... sometimes daily but my hair is so much healthier.

Curly Hair Artistry: As a curly hair specialist working with Cultivate Your Curls and teaching hairstylists how to work with curls - its great to see people learn to embrace their hair and help others to do so- way to go!

Swavy Blonde: Omg love the result! This was literally me 6 months ago. Now my hair looks more like yours, India! Thank you for sharing this, more people have to realise they have wavy hair!

mybrownbeauty: Haha. "I didn't know your hair was supposed to eat." Logan is a character. And your reaction to her saying her hair is curly in Spanish made my heart smile. By the way, have you decided if are you keeping the pup?

Carmen O: Love this! This is literally my hair! I finally figured out a year ago that I had beach wave hair. I've been on a journey ever since to improve the health of my hair, and accept its natural pattern

Margaret Craig: I LOVE the fact that your cousin explained how she used the products. Usually, YouTubers explain everything for the newbie ... I really appreciated the change in focus! Plus your cousin is very good on camera.

9spiderlegs: I'm just like your cousin... Blessed with nice hair but I have no clue what to do with it and don't care to take a bunch of time to mess with it. You did a great job of explaining all of this, making it accessible, and giving scientific reasoning for WHY each step is important. THANK YOU!

Mo 🥰: I literally have been doing the same routine as your cousin!! I’m trying to embrace the waves so thank you both!! Cant wait to try this

Sophia Rocket: I was SO AFRAID OF GEL until very recently! I love that my waves hold so much longer. Super liquidy, lightweight gels hold without giving me a hard cast that I don't like. I just tried Curls Botanical Gelee & I LOVE it.

Jessica Dale: Her reactions are perfect it’s literally how I feel watching all these curly hair curls - my whole life was a lie

lillybet1: Logan, thanks for all you've done. To health care professionals around the globe, you're amazing and your dedication and selflessness over the last year have kept the world running.

SashaDeter: Yesss! I have super fine hair and when hairdressers try to use curling irons on my hair the curls fall out in 30 minutes. My CGM waves last for days!

nomadhermit: I am so curious to try hair products traditionally for curly hair now... my hair looks almost exactly like hers did in the beginning -- sorta kinda slightly wavy, but not truly Wavy or Curly. What makes me think that this might work is that I've got the strangest thing going on with my hair... the front bits, just around my temples, actually *curl* on their own?! Like, the rest of my hair is this funky half-wave-mostly-straight, and then I've got light little actual ringlets right at my temples. I don't know why they're there at all LOL. But maybe they're a sign that if I do my hair right, it might give me MORE curl?? Update: WTF IT WORKED. Turns out my hair has big, soft, natural waves!! More like 2A-2B than 1B!

Anna: I had the same experience with not knowing that my hair was curly but it's the BEST THING EVA. You're both beautiful xxxx ❤️❤️

Madalina: Awwww, her hair looks super cute and amazing! Good job teaching her, India! Also you guys are super gorgeous and look-alike...you can definitely pass as sisters!

Jessie P: Um can we get more Logan? She's hilarious and I love her She totally seems like a bro

Annie Bennett: i’ve never been this early before! I love your channel india!! I have learned so much from you. I started my curly hair journey last year and you were the first person to teach me about curly hair! thank you!! ❤️

Ceela Blodgett: This is the most helpful video I have ever watched. I’ve always had natural very wavy hair and I have been wanting to get into the curly girl method but had no clue where to start. THANK YOU

Monique F.: Thank you!!!!! This video gives me hope that I can get my wavys back!!!!- currently dyed it professionally and its so wonky if i dont straighten it, which I dont want to everyday. Thank you for making products easy access, from ULTA!!!! (and the texture spray from Sephora)

Zaria: Aw such a cute video India!! Logan is so natural in front of the camera and has such a warm personality. Would love to see more of her in your videos

Kaitlyn Peterson: wow it turned out so pretty and u guys definitely look alike in my opinion

Arissa Ann: The personality, I love it. It's sweet, spicy and just outgoing and fun. ❤ Thanks for this. I was never taught how to take care of my hair and now I know.

Haley Brooke: This was so helpful! My hair is very similar to your cousin's, my waves are a lot like hers and also highlighted. I've had that Playa spray in my favorites for months and you've sold me on it lmao

Erika: Big thanks to your cousin for being a nurse!!! Not easy, so needed, so appreciated!!!

M Nicole Bouret: I am a curly girl and I followed along with these tips today just to try something new and my hair looks phenomenal

Sophia Wallen: you just make me so happy india!! your such a bright light and i love you to pieces!!

skyler pennock: The after is insane!!! The waves /curls look so pretty on her

Mimi Johnson: Reagan is a cutie pie! Glad y’all had fun! Pretty waves ladies!

Marie: Thank you. Because of you guys I now have beautiful wavy hair, but I have questions. Do you ever shampoo the ends? Doesn't the products buildup? Would you use a clarifying shampoo? How often?

Monica Harasti Realtor: Love the results and it definitely looks thicker and healthier

Jessica Jones: My goodness Logan is both hilarious and adorable! Love her!!

Katherine Krol: Looks fab! Reminds me of my hair type. I bet if she sticks with it, the girl will continue to improve.

Kateebah Kateebah: I enjoyed watching this video! Ok, that you can do your own hair- but how fantabulous that you can transform someone else’s! MAGICAL

Mackenzie Hartman: This method really worked for me!! I have struggled to find something that worked for my wavy hair... everything seems to just weigh it down. But I tried this today and my hair is soft, shiny and I have bouncy waves!! Thank you!

TheClairelikescats: Love this!! I wanna try this on some of my family members now who got a lil wave

Lydiadibben: Hey so I actually tried this method and it worked perfectly on my hair. I’m feeling more confident especially during this Covid time where my confidence has been low!!

Marleen G.: I used to always brush my hair and blow dry it straight, then I was surprised that it went "poof" when the slightest bit of humidity hit. I always thought it was straight. Then I discovered the curly girl method in my thirties. I don't use the entire method, because I have a finicky scalp, just the LOC/LCO method and of course I do not dry brush. It was such a revelation for me. I am almost 48 right now and am still enjoying my naturally wavy/curly hair. You guys did awesome! She looks amazing. I think she should keep it up! I never do a cold rinse, though (doesn't make a difference for me). :)

Rima Kassar: Loved this video and love Logan! You should have her back on again after doing your hair routine for a few weeks.

Renee Loftus: Y’all are too great! HIGHLY entertaining ❤️

Holly Patton: First time watching time channel :) I’m curious how good all these products are for your hair and then how do you wash them all out if you’re not supposed to fully wash it out? I have nice natural waves that I want to hold better and style :)

Anahi Velázquez: My hair looks exactly like her before I need to try this

Katherine Mary: Wow Logan your hair is amazing! I have a slight wave in my hair but can never find a product that actually holds my waves, most things just make my hair oily I’m still on the hunt!

Lexi Tippett: How do you style this for day two? I did it the other day, and it was beautiful! The next day when I woke up, my hair was straight again and super stringy from products. Help, please!

Cora Honken: My hair is wavy/curly after I shower when it is still wet, but as it dries it loses most of the definition and just gets frizzy and fluffy. The days following it gets less frizzy, but also becomes almost straight. Any advice?

Michele Bradford: I tired this, I think my hair is wavy not curly but it looks so good and I love it sm

Stacy Thompson: You two are adorable and hilarious!

Sarah Fick: You both are so cute! her hair turned out amazing!

Doraida Perez: Wow her hair looks so beautiful.

Marie Schafer: I just ordered all of these products to try. Lol. Her hair looked AMAZING.

Julia Neff: i wanna try everything in this video because my mom has VERY curly hair and my sister and i have those awkward waves but my hair is also very thick so i thought it was just because it was heavy so i cut it a little below my shoulders and it’s still in awkward waves but more wavy. Underneath my hair and my baby hairs are really curly but my actual hair is not, so hopefully this works for me when i try it because it always becomes more straight when it’s dry and i want it curly!

Victoria Rittenger: This helped me with my waves so much! Question: What diffuser is that?

Cecily Asplund: It looks so good!!! Me and her have a similar texture

Georgia Winter: I have curly/wavy hair and I was wondering what you do with your hair at night to keep it looking nice the next day? My hair is always a mess the next day with no definition left!

Divination Lady: You ladies are so much fun, carefree and youthful.

Cortney Martin: I feel literally just like a logan, if that makes any sense. My cousin is also always the one with all the tips and tricks to beauty routines and products while I'm totally just in the dark about them so pretty much any time I'm dressed up is because I let her basically play barbie with me hahahaha my hair is also, other than being red, exactly like logan's hair lol it's flat and lifeless most times with just a bit of wave, looks dry and neglected hahaha I don't mean that as an insult or anything it's just that we keep it simple and all natural without all the extra vavoom stuff. Watching hair care videos usually leaves me sort of discouraged because you rarely ever find somebody who actually has the same hair type, the same attitude towards their haircare and at the same learning level as you are about how to take care of it so this video was beyond a diamond in the rough for me. Thank you both so much for helping me learn what products to try and techniques to use!

Maria Ichabod: you should make more videos with her!

Alyssa Romero: I’m so proud of myself for already knowing where to put shampoo and conditioner on my hair

Mars: You are my ultimate curly hair master!!

Megan Paterson: "We're already seeing improvement" I love her!!

Katherine Frederick: My hair is the same as Logan’s and I love how her after turned out but the question I have is with the gel is her hair crunchy from that or is it soft like natural hair ? Thanks

Cass: you both have lovely personalities ❤️

Lizzie Martinez: The method in which you diffuse is absolutely correct!!! New subscriber here. Great video.

Katie Pearse: When should I use heat protectant with this method? Before or after the curling cream? ❤️

makenna carter: "my whole life has been a lie" girl I felt that when I found out how to properly shampoo and conditioner, I've never done a mask before though.

Lauren Pierce: Her hair looks fantastic! Also, I love how spending time with your cousin your accent comes out lol. I'm from Mississippi and live in Colorado, I bring everyone's southern-ness out!

Meghan O'Keefe: omg you two are so cute I love this transformation!

Satan: I grew up with straight hair, but after age 14, there were patches of curls that eventually took over my whole head. I naturally have 3b curls and don't know how to style

Kiara Eijo: I’m only two years older than you and you taught me to love my natural hair so thank you India!

Marianellyy Diaz: Turned out so nice !

Shaia Jade: this is so funny, my 2 year old cousins name is logan, and she has 2c/3a curls! i will totally do her hair when she gets older.

luvr: When my hair is wet it is wavy but when it dries it is basically straight so you recommend any products that I can use that won’t cost a lot? Also do I have to have a diffuser??

Coralys Lespier: I’ll definitely try this thank you!!

supercalifragilisticexpialidocious: Hi India! Are these the products that you use normally as well? Or do you have different favs? Thanks

Anna O: idk what happened but during my sophmore year of high school I had 3a curls and then one day it just wasn't curly and became extremely oily from applying moisturizing products. I just stopped putting styling products in but it still was disgusting. So I eventually changed shampoos and no longer use products for curly hair. But my hair is still quie wavy, but its always frizzy. I don't know what it's doing anymore.

Rachel W: So sweet happy it turned out so well!

Julianna Beesley: y'all are the most beautiful girls ever!! Logans should keep her hair like that!

Brianna B: Just ordered some curly girl products and I can’t wait for the change. My hair used to be stick straight but starting high school it started getting super frizzy and I would get these weird waves. Then people started commenting how I have wavy hair instead of the straight that it used to be. I’m going to redo my entire routine and I hope now my hair becomes pretty again and I can’t wait to see the defined curls

Lauren: I loved the video! Very funny and very entertaining!!

Yarrow R: That’s my hair. My problem is that my curl falls out so easily if it’s not left crunchy. What products can you all recommend?

susana rylander: Logan is a riot!!! And beautiful. Runs in the family! India, I can get curly hair pretty easy but struggle with the top 3 inches of my hair and what to do with my bangs. Even the top 3 inches o can sometimes coax a wave out of (more curl beneath my ears). But o don’t know what to do with my bangs!Help?

Anita clue: You’re both so adorable! “ My entire life has been a lie”......LOL!!!!

AK Honeybee 907: It’s me… your cousin is me… I have been such an asshole to my hair my entire life. I’ve finally started to learn to take care of it and wouldn’t you know it?! I have some friggin curls! Not just waves, but actual curls. Now I am trying to baby my sad little hairs back to health after smashing the poop out of them and shredding them out for years. My hair is finding itself and actually finding it’s pattern. I have had to step away from the brush basically all week and I put away all my brushes to avoid the temptation to shred my hair out before jamming it in a pony tail or my chopsticks. I’ve been letting it be free more often and it has actually bounced up quite a lot.

lalaceyvictoria: I cannot for the life of me get my waves to hold throughout the day. It’s frustrating. So then I end up brushing it out and then my hair just feels gross from products so then I wear it up the rest of the week. def haven’t figured my hair out yet lol

Cathi Smith: Could you please do a video on pin curls? It looks like they are much bigger than the ones that my mother used to put in my hair as a child lol! And they aren't pinned flat, which has me confused . I'm a visual learner and I would really appreciate it ❤

Jemstone M.: Since lockdown, I've been air drying and trying g the curly method, but I get so tangly the best day. Do I comb or not? It also gets drier and fuzzier by the third day, any tips for the second day would be helpful...

Bekah Julianne: I’ve figured it out. India is grown up Jojo Siwa and I mean that in a nice way

Alison Fischer: Omg!! Love Mochi, I have a fluffy Calico cat named Mochi :))) So grateful for your sister's commitment to public health, thank you so much!

Elizabeth Padilla: How often are you suppose to do the hair mask, and what happens if you just let your hair air dry?

Jennifer Stapleton: OMG my hair looks like when you first started out. Guess I was just brushing my wavy curls out... hmmm.

Boi Fyoodont: “and then India made me turn on the FREEZING COLD WATER”

Kristina F: After you diffuse do you use any products to break up the gel cast? Or just use dry hands to scrunch?

allfruit: Great video!!! India, can you please do a video on how you did your bun? Or if you already did one, let me know.

Isabella Gemma Bovenzi: I needed this video! Shout out to both of you❣️

Trista Ishmael: Me taking notes and getting ready to buy and do all of this

Phaedra Marvin: Oh my gosh! Your blue eyes are STUNNING!
