Hey guys it's lissette here and in today's video i'm showing you guys my curly to straight hair routine. So my hair is looking pretty rough right now pretty dry, and so i definitely need to wet it. And so i'm going to show you guys how i like to prep my hair for straightening. First things: first, i'm going to go in with a really good hydrating, conditioner, this one's from maui moisture and it's their shea butter one, and so i really like to use this to detangle my hair before i shampoo, i'm just gon na use a wide tooth comb. Just to speed up the process and just start from the bottom and work my way up to the top and every time i detangle my hair. I always split my hair in half, just because it's easier for me to like really get all the tangles out and oh my gosh, you guys see this new growth like half of my hair is my natural color and half of it is my highlights and yeah. After rinsing that out, i'm going in with the olaplex shampoo and conditioner i'm starting off with the shampoo first, and this was my first time using this shampoo and i actually really like it. It suds up really well and i felt like my scalp got really clean. I really like olaplex because it helps to repair the bonds in your hair and it's just really good for like color treated, hair and damaged chair, and so i'm just taking the suds and just kind of like bringing it down my hair just so. I can also clean my strands too after that i'm going in with a combination of the olaplex conditioner, also with my favorite deep conditioning treatment. This mask is enriched with 26 different minerals and it helps to just add some protein back into your hair and my hair. Just always feels like super soft and super strong after i use this, so i'm just applying this all throughout my hair again splitting my hair in sections and i'm just gon na let this sit in a bun for a while. While i finish the rest of my routine and once i'm ready to get out of the shower, i'm just rinsing out my mask and i'm putting on a microfiber towel all right. So this is where the real magic starts. So this is what my hair is looking like. It looks like it's kind of like a round bra, strap length, and so i'm using my dyson blow dryer a round brush a parting comb or a rat tail comb and my heat protectant. All the products that i use will be list in the description box and just like how i like to condition my hair, i like to also do my hair in two sections and split the two sections into smaller sections. It'S just easier for me to just get to my hair that way, and so i like to start at the bottom with about like maybe two inch sections and just apply my heat protectant brush it through and then literally start blow drying. I don't even know when's the last time i straightened my hair. I feel like it's been at least two years, which is crazy to me. I used to straighten my hair, maybe like at least twice a year and so yeah i've, given my hair a break as you can see my color's grown out, and so i just thought you know it might be fun to just straighten my hair and kind of See what the lengths looking like, what i really like about using a round brush, is that you can really hold the hair taut and really get it like close to the root so that you can get your roots super straight and every single section, i'm just repeating The same process, i'm applying the heat protectant, mostly on my ends and kind of working it up combing with my round brush just to make sure that there's no tangles in the section and then pulling the hair taut just so i could really get the roots and Also dragging it down, i like to go over with my brush under with my brush, just whatever works, to be able to get the roots just like super super straight or straight as possible, just so that when i use the flat iron, i know that it's really Going to help make those roots straight and once i'm done blow drying this section, i'm just using a satin scrunchie just so that i can kind of tie it off from the rest of my hair and i'm working on the other side. And i'm literally just repeating the exact same steps using the heat protectant comb it through and with the brush is going in different directions. Just so that i can have movement to my hair and also try to really get those roots, and then also i like to rotate the brush when i get closer to my ends. Just so, i can really try to get those in straight instead of going under the hair. When i go on top of the hair, you can see that i like to just take the heat and literally just kind of drag it down the blow. Dryer doesn't even have to be physically touching the hair, but just dragging it down helps straighten my roots and last section. This is definitely a workout doing the blow-dry, because you got to put some muscle in there but yeah. Two hours later i was finished with the blow-dry for my flat iron. I like to use this one from ghd, but the thing is you can't control the temperature, so i feel like it's around 400 degrees, i'm not 100. When i straighten my hair, i like to take around a half an inch thick sections and i like to use the chase method. I part my hair and then i literally take the comb and chase it with the flat iron, and so this way you can make sure that you have no tangles. I also like to go over my roots a little bit more than the ends of my hair. Just so that i can like really make sure that my roots don't revert. My ends have been bleached, so they react differently to heat than my roots do, and so i like to only slowly go over the rest of my hair, maybe like one or two times just so. I can avoid damage - and i just repeat this all throughout my hair for sections around my face - i like to split them in half just so i can really focus on it and make sure that i'm getting like every little piece. I don't want the pieces to be too big so that i might accidentally miss something, and finally i'm on the last section, i'm splitting it into two again and just really getting those roots and then dragging it down very slowly. Just so, i can really straighten the rest of my hair. I noticed that my ends were looking really rough, and so i took some scissors and just kind of dusted. The ends a little bit lightly. I don't like cutting my hair when it's straight, because i really don't ever wear my hair straight, so i'm just dusting it a little bit. I know that probably i need a real haircut when my hair is actually curly, but that's for another day and to finish off, i'm using my favorite paul mitchell, super skinny serum. This serum smells so freaking good and i love it like. It just makes your hair super silky, and so i like to apply it on the ends first and kind of work. My way up, i'm using this to tame a little bit of my flyaways and to overall just add a little bit of shine to my hair, but i'm not trying to apply too much to the roots, because i can easily make your hair look greasy. And this is the final look. This is my hair. Your girl got some inches, i'm just trying to let my hair grow out, and so this was like a fun little way to see how my length is, the whole process took close to three hours. I want to say typically, my hair looks really really good for about four or five days, and i can make it stretch to a week. Alrighty guys, we've come to the end of this video. I hope that you all enjoyed it and that you liked my curly to straight hair routine. Please make sure to give me a big thumbs up and subscribe to my channel. If you haven't already i'll see you guys in my next video bye, you
