My Frizz-Free Natural Wavy/Curly Hair Routine Using No Diffuser | Gemary

Here is my natural wavy/curly hair routine using no diffuser. I also show you how I refresh my hair everyday. I find that so far this is the fastest routine that I’ve tried that does the best at controlling frizz in the extremely humid weather that I live in.

Some of these products and the wet plopping method were recommended by one of my favorite curly girls on instagram @powerdomi so be sure to check her out!

Thank you so much for your support!

Hey guys so for today's video, i'm back with another hair routine, this is my current routine and i'm gon na start off with the day before. So i use these two oils. I go in with the red pimento oil all over my scalp and i do a scalp massage and then i just go in with a little bit of the other oil and just concentrate that on the areas that need a little bit more help. So, for me it is right, above my temple, i have like more thinning there, so i just go in once like this, and then i put it right there where i need it, because this oil is a lot thicker and a lot harder to get off. My hair, when i wash it so i just put my hair up in my little pineapple kind of thing, and this is how i sleep the next morning i just wash my hair and I deep condition it so to wash it today. I use the bounce curl clarifying shampoo out of all of these shampoos that I tried. This is one of my favorites, so I just go ahead and concentrate this on my scalp and I don't really touch my ends. I just kind of let the water rinse the shampoo down into my hands and I go in and I do a second cleanse and a lot of people think this is overkill, but my textured hair specialist that I recently went to told me to do this. So I just rinse my hair one more time and then I go in with my deep conditioning and today I'm using two of them. First, I'm going in with my melts into moisture, and I just concentrated this on my ends like so, and I just do this movement until I feel like my hair starts getting detangled and then I go in with my deep sea repair buy diva curl. I use like this much and I do the same motion until my hair feels like seaweed and if you feel like your hair, is still kind of like knotted. The trick is to keep adding a little bit of water, so just wet your hands and keep adding a little bit of water and keep doing this motion until your hair feels like seaweed, and it is somewhat detangled. And while I'm doing this motion over and over - and I just wanted to emphasize that I normally only do this double conditioning thing like once every two weeks - I do not do this every week, I normally use my Melton to moisture and I deep condition for, like Five to ten minutes in the shower - and I call it a day, but I was told by my textured hair specialist again that I should use heat every time that I use the deep sea repair because it is a protein treatment. Otherwise, you're kind of wasting the product. Now I just put my hair up and I put it in a cap and I wait like 15 to 20 minutes and then this is my heated gel cap. So I put 15 minutes on the timer and then once I'm done, I go ahead and rinse the conditioner off and I kind of like squish to condition my hair, so the conditioner really seeps in and then I go ahead and add my leaving conditioner and you Guys can use whatever leave-in you want today. I just use the Brio Gio, don't despair, repair one and I concentrated on my ends like so so then I just split my conditioned hair through the middle and I kind of like comb the front forward with a wide toothed comb. You guys do not have to use a wide tooth comb. You can use your fingers, I've done both and I get good results with both and then I just kind of like squish, my hair, to get a little bit of texture in and I go in with my curl keeper, and I find that with this product you Have to apply a lot, you have to be generous with it in order for it to work well, so I kind of just rope it in and then squish it, and I do this to every little section of my hair. This is just my quickest method. I get the best result when I divide my hair, starting from the bottom, all the way to the top, but this is the quickest quickest method. This is the method that I use the most, so this is the one that I wanted to show you. So I just move my head one from one side to another and I just repeat the same roping and squishing in process for my gel today, I'm using the blue Clem gel and I do the same exact thing to each section of my hair. You don't have to be as heavy-handed with this, but obviously every hair is different. I could have probably used a little more honestly because my hair didn't really hold as well at the end of this, but it's fine. I don't really care how defined or you know how curled my hair is on a daily basis. I just want it not to be frizzy and to have some kind of nice texture that looks polished. So what I'm doing right now is wet plopping, and all this is is applying a shower cap to my hair after I have already styled it like so, and I leave this on my hair for like 10 to 15 minutes, while I dry myself rinse my body Off, I don't have to do it for that long, so I just go in with a microfiber towel after I remove my wet plop and I lightly kind of like squish the excess water out of my hair, and then I go ahead and apply a headband sort Of like loosely so that I don't really interrupt my texture too much on the top of my head, I apply this to get my hair out of my face. While I'm doing my makeup, because if I leave my plop on I'm just gon na drip all over the place, so I find that this doesn't really interfere with my texture because my hair doesn't dry to a hundred percent. Even when I'm done doing my makeup. So now I've finished doing my makeup and getting dressed, and it has dried too, like 80 %. I remove my headbands and I just kind of fluff, the top of my hair, mostly because I do not want the top of my hair to dry to a hundred percent without fluffing it a little bit because I'm just gon na get like cowlicks all over my Head so I just lightly fluff my roots and then I kind of like scrunch, my hair, a little bit more with the microfiber towel, and I wait for my hair to dry. So once my hair is almost completely dry, I go in with a little argan oil and I kind of like smooth it over my problem areas, which is mostly my crown like the front portion of my hair, and I kind of just scrunch out whatever is left Of my crunch - and I call it a day so I did not diffuse my hair - I didn't do anything else to my hair other than what I showed in this video. So obviously this is not going to be the most curl defining or like texture defining routine, but it is effective, it's very, very good. In humid weather I find that this is the routine that does the best for my frizz. So far out of all of the routines that I've tried a little background on my hair, I have mixed hair, so I have like some straight pieces, some wavy pieces and in the bottom of my hair I do get like ringlets. So obviously, if I diffuse my hair, I'm going to get a lot more ringlets, I'm going to get a lot more texture and if you have curly hair, then of course you know. I really do think this routine would be beneficial for you, especially if you diffuse you here. I think you'll get really good results. It normally does not take me very long to do my hair, so I'm very happy with this routine. So far, so this is the next morning I just take my hair out of my little top pineapple or whatever you want to call it, and this is what my hair looks like straight out of how I sleep with it so obviously lost a lot of definition. It looks raggedy, so I go in with my water spray bottle and I just start wetting my hair, and I find that I do not have to use any additional product. You can use a little bit of conditioner in the bottle if you want, but I find that I don't really have to do that. It just depends on your hair. Everybody'S needs are different, so these products reactivate very, very, very well with water alone. These are the products that reactivate the best, in my opinion, out of everything that I've tried. So you do not have to add additional product which is great because you're not gon na, have her a-z crazy buildup by day three and day, four or even day, five. So, as you can see, I just kind of parted like side part it and I wet both sides. I scrunch it. Then I flip it. I parted to the other side wet both sides, scrunch it and I just get like an even dampness or wetness. I threw out of my hair, I don't completely saturate my hair, then I go in with a microfiber towel and scrunch out the crunch when my hair is completely dry, so yeah. This is the routine that I've been using lately. So again, you know if you have curly hair, I do think that you're still gon na get ringlets. It'S very defined and frizz-free curls without diffusing. If you use this routine, but obviously I have more of a wavy texture all over my hair, but I'm very happy with the frizz control and just the overall look of my hair without having to add that extra, very, very long, tedious step of diffusing. Let me know if you guys have any questions in the comments below. Thank you guys so much for watching, don't forget to Like and subscribe if you enjoyed, and I will see you in my next video

UnaveganainTicino: I thought, for all my life, that I had straight frizzy hair, just now, 27, realizing they are wavy. I’ve being doing my hair routine wrong since now, that I’ve found your vid. Thank you :)

olivia1910: Your hair looks so beautiful like that, it makes me sad to think that so many women with beautiful curly hair spend all of this time straightening it and damaging it (luckily I'm way too lazy to curl my hair haha). It might be because I have flat straight hair and you always want what you can't have but I've always dreamed of having natural curls/waves ^^

SKINNY&RICH: Frizz is the devil. I hate it so much.

Adriana Yourcenar: Ahhh I'm having such a hard time trying to figure out the texture of my hair it's similar to yours, super mixed, really wavy, kinda curly and a little straight and it's really thin so I get a lot of buildup, a mess so, thank you for the tips and info, your hair looked amazing and shiny! Wished there was any hair texture professional here in Aguascalientes, México

Shaywill34: Love seeing my Latino family embracing their natural hair...

R S: your second day hair looks even better than the first! i never refresh my hair i usually completely rewash it but I'm gonna try only spraying my hair with water like you

merrion robyn: i've never seen anyone with hair just like mine before! its wavy on top with ringlets underneath, im trying to embrace the wave a bit more as up til now i've used a strong hold mousse and diffuser to get it as curly as possible

bunnygutz: She looks like a renaissance painting

Amna Raja: Omg thank you for this! I have never found anyone with the same hair as mine. Mine is also curly some places, more wavy in other areas and I even have some straight hair. And i struggle so much with frizz so I will definitely try this routine

Nikki Alvarado: So happy to have found someone with basically my exact hair type on YouTube. I'm also trying to embrace my natural hair and these tips make it easier ♥️

Fatema Salam: Be careful because I’ve been seeing a lot of articles and videos about deva curl causing hair loss and frizz!!! I stopped using it and recommend you do your research

Helen Hounslow: Omg this is so helpful. My hair is exactly like yours but the front bits are dead straight and the bottoms are curly and my baby hairs are frizzy. When i brush my hair it turns into a ball of frizz so I will definitely do this routine!!!

S.aura.h: Oooh my gosh. You and your hair are gorgeous! I think I have the same hair type as you, I’m going to try your routine! I’ve had to start diffusing my hair dry since starting the CG method and I’ve got mega frizz

Leanne Rae: Great video, and really really easy! The less steps something has, the more likely to actually do it! I saw another tutorial where the girl used a denman brush to brush her hair before scrunching that gave her really good definition. I know all curly hair is different but maybe you can try that! Thanks for this video Gemary!

SaBr 417: OMG finally I found someone who has hair similar to mine! I have a mix of curly, wavy, and even straight and I also have to tackle cow licks and random parts. Your hair looks gorgeous and your video was very informative!

Ciara Newland: Like others have commented I just found that my hair is rather wavy and I’m 27 so I’m late to the game. I always thought that I had fine frizzy straight hair. I tried your routine today and WOW!! it’s been a huge game changer for me!!!! and my hair looks fabulous! Thank you for taking the time to upload this video and share your routine. I’ve watched others and yours is the only one that has worked for me so far. I didn’t use the exact same products but pretty similar. Your hair is beautiful!

sophie root: Wow your hair is so healthy and shiny!! Love the routine.

rita EO: I like how you make CGM so quick with awesome results

kristennelsonRN: You’re the first you tuber with a wavy hair routine and hair similar to mine! Same density and texture! Love the results you got!

Loriot: Thank you for this video ! I just discovered that I actually have wavy hair but I've destroyed it with the wrong products and habits over the years. I'm slowly turning to the Curly Girl Method but it's not easy. Also, thank you for showing the next day! I have the same problem, my curls tend to disappear on the second/third day. I'm gonna try that !

Mia Renee: Omg this video is awesome!!! For about 4 years I was deal with my hair changing I’m mixed (half white and half black). I grew up with straight hair until I hit the 5th grade and my hair started to change and now its like I have all kind of things going on. Curls, waves and some straight pieces so my hair is like your. I was straightening my hair for about 3 years and damaging it until this I learned how to embarrass my curls. But this video helps me a lot and makes me under a little more about how I can control my hair

Who Dunnit: I went my whole life thinking my hair was straight and frizzy. Then i realised it was wavy, and my wavy journey began. I started doing more wavy hair routines, dozens upon dozens. The more I did those hair routines, the more I realised...My hair is wavy, sure. Frizzy waves. And while I hate that, there's just nothing to be done about it. No oil, no deep conditioner, no difussion no air dry no curly girl method no scrunching and plopping, no mousse curl custard defining gels, no thoughts and prayers will help my hair. So I went from hopeless, to hope found, to back to hopeless lol. Goodbye, cruel world of wavy routines. This will be the last one I have tried and failed. My hair will go back into a bun till I decide to shave it all off (again).

Grace Walker: this routine has a lot of helpful tips i’m going to try. also i love your editing!

N N.: Finally! I have the exact same hair volume/texture/waves as yours! Thank you!!

milla ward: My hair when wet looks exactly like yours. i’ve tried so many techniques, but everytime i wash my hair, plop it with a shirt and keep it on, i wake up and the curls are almost nonexistent and undefined. i have no idea what to do!!

Mbeepy: I keep coming back to this, your results are so nice!

Ema B: This is so soothing ☀️ love your style, I share your videos with my mom and she looooooved your choice of jeans! Have a beautiful day, thanks for the gorgeous content

Tisha Herrera: I turn 27 next week and realize I have wavy/curly hair. My whole life I thought I had straight hair, but I’m the shower, the tips of my hair ends get so curly and my hair has been frizzy. Plus, everyone in my family has straight hair (minus my older sis), so no one knew how to help our hair growing up. My hair is also THICK, like you have to use a special brush to comb it out and it always made it puffy after! Who knew? Better late than never, right?

꧁o꧂: This is exactly my natural hair if they don't frizz and I do my routine correctly By the way this routine is very inspiring

Desert Rose: I love your hair, it’s gorgeous! Very similar to mine!

Julie W: I love your waves & ringlets. It's goddess hair! So pretty. I have wavy hair, no pretty ringlets, but I am going to follow this in part, trying a few of these products to get my waves w/out frizz. I live in FL so this is a huge problem for me year round.

Mini: The aesthetics!!! love your shower!

On the go with crazy Nazzie: Thank you so much I have natural wavy curly hair. I never know what to do to the top of my hair. Definitely going to try your tips You have beautiful hair!

Rebeca: I'm so happy u figured out what works for u, ur hair looks so glossy and healthy x

S.aura.h: I’ve come back to this video so many times... I’m wondering though, how long does it take for your hair to dry naturally without diffusing with these products? I usually use Giovanni leave in and kinky curly curling gel and there is no way my hair drys naturally with those products. I don’t know why but hooours will pass and it’s still dripping wet. I’d like to try these products if they dry quickly

nat: Your hair looks so shiny and beautiful, thank you for sharing

NYCOC: Holy...this video may change my life. I have always hated dripping wet hair and applying gel out of shower! I am going to try your method!

Celina Anglemyer: Your hair is so pretry?! It looks so healthy I just did my curly hair routine on my channel too :)

S P: All your videos are so aesthetically pleasing ♥️

ايزيس رسمي - isis rasmy: I had so much fun while watching ! It was so relaxing and luxuries

Shana: Your hair is gorgeous! Mine looks similar to yours, but I have more straight sections. I think it's also because my hair is a lot longer than yours too. I'm going to try your routine and see how it works!

Elena Echarri: This is the most amazing routine i have seen on a hair texture like mine. Big fan

ac9231: How long have you been doing the castor oil into the temples thing? And have you found it to make any impact on hair growth?? We have veeerrrryyyyyyy similar hair

Rosie C: Be careful with Deva they have proteins in their lines that don’t list as a protein and can over do your hair - also the ingredient D.Urea which is a preservative that lets out formaldehyde starting at 50F degrees do in high heat like hot yoga, heated deep treatments, hot days with the leave in products, and the product just being in a hot shower on and off... which is why the original Deva company didn’t sell to large companies that held products in a non temp control facility - that ingredient letting out formaldehyde on the scalp too much causes hair loss bad. Read the horror stories.

Christina Rajan: Very pretty hair! Wish my texture was so easy!

Ecclesia xxi: Finally!!! Someone with my hair :) it looks SO similiar (yours is just thicker (lucky you) & dark). I've been looking for a video like this ... turns out I have mixed hair too, but I didn't know how to describe it... some weird mish mash, neither here nor there. Growing up I treated it like straight hair and longed for dead straight hair (& so hated it because of the poofyness/fuzz and would straighten it more), last few years I've been trying to learn about it, care for it, return to it's natural state (i.e. no more heat and trying to let it heal poor thing) and I was noticing curls when drying naturally, then thought it's curly that I need to encourage ... but it still had straight hair mixed in, so it isn't actually curly, ...it has straight bits, curly bits, wavy bits O_O ... I didn't know how to describe it or what to do with it (but I knew it wasn't like the videos I was being pushed to, which were very tight thick curls). Thank you :)

Maisa Franco: For the first time... a person with a hair that looks just like mine ❤❤❤

Laura Fox: Absolutely gorgeous hair

M M M: Your hair looks beautiful!!! Thx for adding next routine

Destiny Lamb: Is it just me or does anyone else love the feeling of messaging your scalp?

Maria Garcia-Gomez: BEAUTIFUL!!! I am going to copy you lol buy everything you mentioned because your hair looks amazing and this video is the most relatable and easiest curly hair video I've seen thus far! Thanks!

Eeva: your hair is beautiful! thanks for the tips :)

Dianne Foster: your hair looks so healthy and shiny im so in love

MrsHNKeller: Day 2 hair looked fabulous!

Nyree Feijoo: Your hair looks AMAZING!

Sara: Your videos are so calming and peaceful I love it so much

Evelyn Tello: My hair is just like yours, and I honestly didn't know about the water the next day trick lol. I just kept in a ponytail or something and called it a day. Honestly really liked the video 10/10!

Tiny Dancer: This is insane. I have curly hair like hers. I just wash and condition normally every day or so and thats it.

travelsofablackrose: Your hair is gorgeous. Please keep it wavy always.

L A: I can’t wait for my hair to grow back so I can try this routine

LemonadeLaura: Beautiful results! That's really interesting what you did with the little headband. I'll have to try that.

Lliz: You are so beautiful!! Hands down. I tried EVERYTHING but my hair just ends up FRIZZY! full of frizz and the curls aren't defined. Yeah my hair's like Hagrid's

Sarah k: Looooove these videos!!! You are very lucky. Thank you for sharing. Can you do a video on how you do your winged liner? It’s so classy and beautiful.

Addie Loree: Wow your hair is BEAUTIFUL I have your exact hair but it’s definitely not as healthy because i’ve been straightening it :(

Emma: I have pretty similar hair to yours, it's mixed, has ringlets underneath and many waves You use some oils after washing, doesn't it weight down you hair? What happens if you skip the oils? Would love to see more hair videos❤

Shivani Priyam Kumar: Thank you for this. I want to switch my curly hair routine for I have only definition and no volume. I will definitely try out the products you listed here.

Catherine J Hernandez: Has anyone with really frizzy hair tried this ? Does it work? My hair is also mix and a little thicker but so so so frizzy and the opposite of polished. Hairs going in different directions

Beverley Roberts: Beautiful hair! I l love the way you have a got that look without using a hairdryer, I'm definitely going to try that as my hair is very similar to yours. Loved the video! x

Golden rose: My hair after wash is like yours after all of these steps I think i should learn to love my hair

Citlalli Herrera: Really informative thank you :)

Simone Small: ❤️ Without getting too personal do you always do this routine in the shower? I don’t think I could manage this in the shower in my birthday suit! ‍♀️ Especially without a mirror unless you have one in there. Don’t you get cold or frustrated? I think my hair would turn out better in the shower but not sure how to start this process! Lol

Jenni: I think we have very similar hair so this was very helpful for me. I want to try to go back to my natural curls.

van: im from miami too and frizz is always my biggest problem.. seeing this gives me hope. if its not to0o much, could you also drop were you get your hair cut/trimmed? im always so scared to go to whomever to cut my hair yunno? thank you so much for sharing again ❤️

cathkails: Your hair is similar to mine...except, mine is very fine and very thin. Which makes long term definition a struggle. I have to wet my hair entirely every day and use more product, because of this. Which of course...adds to build up

Jenn Morrison: Somebody please do a fine thin straight shitty broken ends broken dreams hair tutorial for me ok thanks.

Kyalin Rose: Beautiful hair! I want to try the Briogeo don’t despair repair deep conditioner. I’ve heard great things. Right now I’m currently using both the DevaCurl melt into moisture and deep sea repair. Have you tried the Briogeo don’t despair repair deep conditioner? If so is it comparable to the melt into moisture?

Jyoti Anuragi: I always find your videos simply, original and informative. Thankyou dear.

Hadi Roman: You're total package.. Face of Diva... Hair of Goddess... A presence of Alice...

krskitcraft: You have such beautiful hair. I have the tiniest bit of wave to mine. I can scrunch it and use product for more wave. Lately I just feel like it’s flat, frizzy & stringy. I definitely am thinking of using a clarifying shampoo. Maybe there is just too much buildup at my roots. Thanks for sharing.

Claudia Alfonso: Would you recommend Briogeo (dont dispear mask) or Olaplex (No3) for someone trying to get back all curls? My hair is thick, not super damged but somewhat, not sure which to try. :) (my hair right now only curls in certain spots prob due to blow drying over the years :(

Lynne S: You have beautiful hair! And the second day hair looks even better, how is that possible?! LOL If I use even half that amount of product, my waves fall dead flat :-(

Pastel Julia: *Who else always gets so inspired by everything she does?* Love from another youtuber

Milou •: Beautifully edited!

Octo : How does everyone know what seaweed feels like? Is that an experience most people who don't live in the desert have? I've never felt seaweed so I have no idea what all these curly girls mean by it. Still, thank you for showing us this!

Kaitlyn Denise: Soooo glad I found this video, wavy/curls unite

Youssra: Yesss! I have found someone with the same hair texture as mine

Old Account: Your hair is exactly like mine! I’m Latina too. Family is from Mexico :)

Nadia Aguilar: Hey beautiful! I’d love if you made a video about all your house plants and outside plants if you haven’t already ☺️♥️ love ya!

Bobbie Ditcharo-Roland: Very pretty hair. Great video. Please do more hair videos.

Deepkiran Kaur: thanks so much, your hair looks beautiful , i have curly wavy hair just like yours and this was so helpful. What hair colour shade do you have btw ? is it a specific hair colour technique?

Sophia Driz: I love the aesthetic of your videos a lot of love from France

khushbu merchant: Castor oil is extremely nutritional for hair and skin. In Indian we usually create a concoction with 3parts coconut oil 1 part caster oil heated and generously seasoned with jaswanti flowers and Curry leaves. Cooled and stored in dark glass bottles with the seasonings so the goodness keeps seeping in the oil as the days go by. There are many fancier version to treat specific hair problems but this is a basic one used by such curly hair.

Aria Bell: Your hair color looks so nice I love it. Btw what’s your nail polish? it suits your skin

Mustafa Kareem: hey @Gemary I have a wavy hair and I want to ask you about the Keratin products like the ones come in 3 bottles. what is your opinion in these ?

Caitlyn Evans: Why was this so relaxing, loved this! New sub x

Mahitab's Space: Love it ..maybe you can try the squish to condish method and plopping as these really helped with my wavy /curly hair

C. Bella: The window light is amazing and dreamy

Paulina Abularach: Woah i have the same hair as you do and all I do once a month is put on a treatment and call it a day. I will start doing it tho because I only use an oil when i wash it bit the freeze is still there.

Julie G: Thanks for showing your routine. I have similar hair texture. You said to be generous with the Curl Keeper...just wondering about how much would you say you use? A palm full or maybe2?

Ummesalma Zariwala: You should stop doing deep conditioning in shower as wet hair are more prone to breakage. Instead use oils and hair masks before shower. It will not only condition your hair but also help with hair growth.
