Laughing yay Wow hello, guys hi everyone and welcome back to my channel or welcome to my channel. I'M also welcoming myself back to my channel because I have been gone for a little while, but quickly explain why, before we hop into this video quite unequal anyway. So basically um me my sister we're taking photos on my camera one day and we were outside the week and a half ago before I left for America, I went to pack my camera and realized. Oh, where is my camera? James said, I'm searching in that lightbulb moment. I have left my camera outside, so I ran outside and it's been raining for the last four five days. My camera is soaked in the rain. I was so mad at myself. I was so upset and it was turning on, but it was so blurry and then I left it in rice for a little week. Whilst I went to the states and yeah, I checked it, and now it's actually working - and I was like so for today - I'm going to show you how I get super defined curls using the Denman brush. I did a mini tutorial of this on Instagram and it went really well and you guys a bit more curious for more details. So, let's begin okay looks good some water, I'm just going to agree, wet my hair. Essentially, I hate the feeling of wet wet hair, but let me actually explain what a Denman brush is. So this is a Denman brush, Denman, not sure if any stores in Australia actually sell these brushes. But I just got mine off eBay. I will leave the link that I use down below and they are a little bit expensive in Australia, which I mean everything is so, but basically it's like this coned rush and the bristles are quite like they're kind of like overly explained to see it's a brush. But as you can see they're quite long, oh I got the seven, the seven or a Denman there's also like a nine or a gentleman, but this one is specifically for styling. Defining hair not for detangling, don't buy this and expect it to be a great detangler. I'D made that mistake, and it is not a good detangler eyeball. It rips your hair out, because I don't know why it's just so like tough. It is amazing for definition, for curls, and I have been testing this out for over a month now. So I'm going to actually show you a little trick that I figured it out and then I've actually seen a few other youtubers do to get really nice separated and defined curls. You should know about the Denman, which is really cool. They stupid fake nails. I ripped a few off, never mind those. You can actually take out this pink part yeah, so you can literally detach the thing. So if you ever accidentally rip it out and you think you've broken another brush, you haven't open up the back and actually take out a row. I'M not sure what the purpose of that is because I'm not sure what less Rose or walrus is gon na do. But it's good information right, no yeah, okay! So let's get started I've. Just I'm freshly detangled and washed. My hair drying it up a little bit with my microfiber towel cuz, it's quite wet when my body and I hate that feeling. So this part isn't really. For definition, so I just like to brush it back so that I can part it. This isn't a perfect part, but it will do I'm going to today be using a mousse and a cold cream um. I haven't really used much of this, so I'm still testing it out, but I'm not going to just take a little bit smells delish and kind of run it through this side of my head, using mainly on the ends. Cuz they're dry, that's all in there and I'm gon na finish off with my trusty alterna replenishing cut restricting bond repair, leave-in treatment, mousse love! This I've got through bottle fees about that much I like to evenly, distribute it and we're going to begin the magic with the Denman brush. This is what you're gon na do basically gon na fix sections at a time just quickly give it a pursuit to eliminate the knots. So what you're going to do is going to get your strands of hair, the Denman brush right at the root and underneath the hair brush it downwards and then at the end, well, halfway down you're actually going to start curling the brush and then it's gon na Bounce up, and then I want you to actually just scrunch that part of your hair make a look already. You can see the curls forming in like a pattern and they're really separated. So that's going to give you amazingly defined curls if you do that for your whole head, which is what we are going to do so, I'm taking the next part and I'm basically just gon na repeat that it's scratch in this whole side of my hair, and I have to finish up with a little bit of water just in my hands and scrunch it up a tiny bit more mousse to reinforce that color pattern and scrunch up those curls really trying to keep them like straight up, as you can see like this, is My hair, no denim Denman brush just drying. Naturally, this is my hair with the Denman brush, you see how refined the curls are separated and how to find they are going to be yeah. Okay, I'm going to do this other side, whilst my camera just charges up a tiny bit. So then, I can come back and finish up the video well, I've just finished up debt with the Denman brush on both sides, and I spent a little bit more product through on this side now onto the drying process for defined curls. I'M going to use a diffuse up, this one is crap, so I'm sorry, I can't tell you where it's from, because it's so old's that I don't even know I want to get a new one, so stay tuned. For that. I do definitely think that air drying is a great option for for really defined curls, because it's going to blow them around the lesson, just kind of let them dry, naturally and in this curl pattern. But I didn't have a whole heap of time and I like to use a diffuser and I'm also going to have no heat at them and you're going to start diffusing, not by touching or cupping your hair you're, going to blow air onto the bottom and the Roots of your hair first, so when you feel like your hair starting to get more dry, that's when you can start to cut your hair upwards, so I'm gon na start to amp it up, and I'm gon na put it on to full speed and a little Bit of warm heat, warm heat, okay, so my hair is almost completely dry, but let's just take a look of these extremely separated, because I don't like to have that this, like soggy, so I'm going to separate and shake them out a little bit just like this. Okay, my hair is definitely still a bit wet and I'm still not sure if I like that curl balm from Innisfree I'm getting used to it. It did make my hair a lot softer than intended. So I'm gently just kind of running my fingers and doing this to kind of separate those defined curls alrighty. So there it is. That is how I get defined, separated curls or with the Denman brush. Now I did fluff it out a lot because I kind of like that look. It'S got a really nice amount of definition, and I just really like that technique for getting separated, bouncy defined curls that aren't too fuzzy, so so that is how we use the Denman brush to style and define my naturally curly hair. I hope you guys enjoyed this video. I have to kind of speed it up because my battery's running out - but I hope you really enjoyed this video check out my other videos for more curly, hair tips and tricks and literally just got back from this state today. But I just had to film: I just really felt like add two combs sorry feels a bit Messier do have a bit of brain fog, alright guy. I hope you subscribe to my video subscribe to my channel like this video cuz. It really helps me out, like this video Jesse go like this video, because it really helps me out leave as many comments below as you would like. Sophia T: Imagine being born this gorgeousabsolutely stunning

kyliee c.: Being a curly gurl is so expensive

Jelena Cenic: FYI: less rows: bigger curls More rows: smaller curls

Poop: her eyes are so unique, it can’t see her pupils. absolutely stunning

RR: For tighter and smaller curls, keep all the bristles of your Denman brush. If you prefer bigger, fatter curl clumps, take out every other row. In other words, the more rows the tighter the curl. Also, if it snags on your hair or doesn't swoosh through easily, the pins are set too closely for your hair type and you need to take some rows out.

Curls Avenue: Bought the brush, used it as you have. I'm in love with my curls again. Thanks so much for your video. So glad it found me when I was considering a big chop!

Boouhxbaby _: Clear skin Beautiful curly hair Amazing eyes Pretty face -what even... I don’t even have 1 of these thing

Anais Chantal: You've changed my life and my hair and I can't stop raving about it! I always struggled with doing my hair and I've been watching your videos and my day 3 hair looks unlike it ever has before. Thank you with sharing your hair secrets sis

AlizMari23: Less rows, when running the brush vertically through the hair, will create bigger curl clumps. That's why you can remove the rows.

harryskittyz: its so weird how your hair can be so 'thin' when ur hair is wet, but full when its dry

Jana O'Connor: Hey girl I so glad I ran across this video! I have subscribed to your channel. Currently I am working through getting my curl pattern back after horrendous heat damage. I will definitely be getting my hands on that brush! Thank you for this video, hope you enjoyed the states!

Zahra M: This worked so well, I've never seen my curls looking this defined ❤️ thank you for sharing!

Eabha Power: Taking out a row is useful for curls so you can choose the size you need your curls to be because when you use it to define it is forming your curls and if you have big curls it allows you to modify the brush to suit you. Your amazing btw xx

Stefka Lanyon: I’ve had this brush for years, and it is the best brush ever! Never knew I could use it to define my curls, will definitely try after washing my hair.

Lauren Sladeski: I can’t believe all the ignorance in these comments! I use the denman brush and on my hair, which is the same curl type as hers, it’s better for styling than it is de-tangling. Just because it does multiple things for one persons hair doesn’t mean it will do the same for everyone else’s. People who have 3a/3b curls and lower will scrunch and defuse because this helps with the definition of the curls. It’s not to say that she’s got “straight hair and is using product to make it curly” I’ve literally never heard anything more ignorant in my life. Curls don’t only exist in the kinky type, they literally vary in all different forms.

Courtney Boulds: Just wanted to say, I have been following this tutorial and my entire head is full of gorgeous ringlets! I didn’t know my hair would do that! Thank you so much for this video! I am in love!

The Rarest: Wow wow wow just wow you saved my whole life girl My hair is curly as yours but I’ve never been able to define my curls like you did It’s a very helpful way thanks

Daja Williams: Just got my own Denman and it is LIFE CHANGING for my curls. You are gorgeous btw :) Love your videos, they have been so helpful on my curly journey :)

Artifying: Just got my first Denman and am really excited to try it! My hair texture is basically exactly the same as yours and your videos are GOLD

Yasmina: I LOVEEEE your hair we have the same lol. Tip: The best results for perfect frizz free curls is when you let is dry naturally for like 1 hour and than give it a boost with the blowdryer

Jay Squared: Imagine waking up every single day and being this gorgeous!!! You are absolutely STUNNING!! Love those curls!

Acidic Purple: I literally just got my Denman brush in the mail! Thank you so much! I watched this video about a month ago and I have VERY similar hair to you. I can't wait to test my Denman brush. Love your videos

Simrohn Iftekhar: 3:15 That's so helpful to clean the brush! Easily get all the hair or anything that gets stuck

RiverEvening: Oh my gosh! Your video has inspired me! I have naturally curly hair but I’ve never known how to properly define the curls because no one in my family has curly hair, NO ONE! But this helped me out sooo much. I had never heard of the denman brush before until this video but now I’m dying to get one! I hope it works btw, you’re super pretty♥️

Camila Rodriguez: I did this and it actually works very well . my hair used to be so big and curly but i got tired of it and straightened it. big regret !!! so for someone who slightly has heat damage my hair still came out curly Z

Danielle Amaral: Lindaaa!!! Amei seus cachos

e11ionore: Thanks so much for recommending Denman brush! Bought it some days ago and WOW it has changed my hair routine! Never thought brush can affect curls that much! ❤️

Sarah Morley: You have the most stunning hair! I'm just starting to embrace my natural hair, thanks for the tips x

Jéssica Ramos: Ficou linda. Vou tentar fazer.

Rammabanana: tip for the denman brush: it is easier to slide the red part up instead of pulling it, as well as you can take it apart for easy cleaning! :)

Adrianna Austin: GIRL. i have the same hair texture and this worked wonders on my hair! Thank you so much!! i used a brush similar to the Denman and it worked just fine!

K MacC: Just got my Denman brush! Looking forward to trying this tomorrow for my shampoo day! (also trying that mousse because I'm not a big fan of gel). I wish my hair was your curl type and volume but mine is more 2C/3A but we always want what we don't have. lol

Anna: I have curly hair but it can be hard to handle thank you so much I’ve found your channel your amazing !:) love this tutorial!

Faith Collins: Thank you so much for this Jayme Jo, my curls are much more defined Love you for this:)

Samira Belle: Your hair is GORGEOUS girl and I can't even believe how lit the transition seems to have been

AJandKai: The tiny ounce of confidence I had literally just crawled under a rock and died. You are GORGEOUS!

DISSclout: I can’t wait to try this on my hair!

N .C: Hi jayme ! I kinda have an important question, when you detangle your hair, how much falls out ? Like what’s the normal range for hair shedding when detangling ? Thanks a million in advance !

Allanah Hickey: So pretty. I have one on the way, can’t wait to try it out

Birbiri: Girl I saw on Instagram that you put so little product on your hair and it turns out amazing and I used to use a lot of product and my hair looked weird on second day hair and had to wash it every, so I was like fck it I’m gonna use little product like you do AND OMG MY HAIR HAS NEVER LOOKED BETTER

Linda Mattson: Very helpful video! I’ve ordered my Denman brush. Can’t wait to try it. Will also try diffusing my roots before cupping hair in diffuser. Thanks for the tips!

Alessia Papa: Hi! I live in Australia too! And I struggle so much with my hair, it was super curly when I was little but I had the same problem with other kids saying I looked better with straight hair, luckily I rarely straightened it but I would always tie and up and I still do if it doesn’t look good, I have been trying to find the right products and everything but nothing is working, my curls are dry, super frizzy and undefined all the time, I don’t know what I’m doing wrong, I think I have fine to medium hair thickness and low porosity, do you have any recommendations of some products I can get in Australia? I wanted to try devacurl but it’s too expansive to buy here on other websites :(

Robyn Kyla: Girls with natural curls are so blessed!! So jealous!! Love this so much!!

maryam zahir: This just made me realize how ☇MAGICAL ☇curls are. You inspire me sooooo much and ur videos help more than i could even explain

Melody Cross: just ordered my brush today!! can’t wait to use it when it comes in a few days

Carmen rouseIniguez: Gorgeous hair girl. Thanks for the tip!

Lizy Cardenas: The Asian grocery store I go to has a section for daiso products and they had a dupe for the 9 row denman brush! I'm so glad I was too cheap to buy the brand name one because I scored this one for 1usd! It's identical down to the removable rubber and rows to customize. I tried it out for the first just how you showed us,cant wait for my hair to dry!

Amarie: I use what I call a paddle brush and my curls come out super defined. Accept I allow it to air dry because I don't get the same soft shiny super defined look. But this blow dryer seems to keep her curls in tact

ezginur: my hair looks exactly the same like yours when it's wet but it's so different when it's dry lol

Cyrotize: I grabbed my demin brush so quick to try and take off the rows thing and I was so shocked and it was cool. Thx for telling me it could do that

Teresita Barrera: I absolutely hate having to load up curly hair with products in order to look decent. I love your hair.

Cristina Garcia: I've been CG for almost a decade and have bought, tried, and thrown away two Denman brushes during that time because I can never seen to get the same results other curly people get. No matter what technique I use, separating the curls that much while they are wet (even if I scrunch them later on) makes them come out thin, stringy, and lifeless :( I'm guessing it's because I have mostly 2C hair though... I have much better luck with certain products i.e. Cantu Curl Activator, which turns my hair 3A.

Katryane Rocha: Maravilhosa , amei

Leila H: I tried this technique with a normal brush and it worked really well, I feel like the denman technique works with any hairbrush, Great video by the way, thanks for the great tips! Love your curls!

B: Thank you for this video I've actually lost a lot of hair because I was using it as a detangler now I realize why

Rachel: Go straight to 4:35 to see how she uses the brush

Lydia Bouza: omg your hair is beautiful!!!!! My curly hair refuses to stay defined and is frizzy, and I use sulfate, silicone, and paraben hair free products! You are blessed my dear

Jaesha: It came out beautiful! Do you have a video we can reference of your styling technique prior to using the deman brush to see the difference? Thanks! ♥️

Milli💕: People take out the rows for definition....when I had all the rows in my brush I didn’t like it because I have different hair types. But, when I took out every other row it mad the definition wayyyyy more defined.❤️❤️pretty hair

Alisha Khan: I don't have a Denman brush but I used a paddle brush and it works just as great!

iiKittyDR: I spent the first 9 or 10 years of my life treating my hair like it was straight, I kept brushing and brushing. And now my hair is not TOTALLY straight, but not really curly. It wasn’t until I turned 11 when i wondered, *My hair is like my mom’s, but her hair gets really curly, but mine is only wavy-ish* and that’s when I started watching vids about curly hair and realized that curly hair had to be taken care of differently. And now my hair is ruined and I REALLY wish I could get it to be curly

Diana Gutiérrez: He visto taaaaantos videos para cabello chino y este es el único que sentí que sirve de algo

bell x.x_: have you tried to use the denman brush taking out every other row? x there will be 4 rows on the brush and apparently this helps with defining curls alot better, i would like to see how it would work on ur hair ! x

Lotus Flower: I stopped scrunching because I experience MAJOR shrinkage as my hair air-dries. My hair becomes like 6 inches shorter when it's completely dry lol and I hate it. I am trying to make my hair strands more separated though, so I'm going to try the scrunching method again except this time with a Denman brush as well, thank you! P.s. How do you prevent your hair from shrinking? or do you not have that problem?

Janice Rainey: Wow! Your hair is amazing, your curls are so gorgeous! I have curly hair too, though my hair is very fine so my curls look smaller lol

Junior Chaves o Picasso de Yahushua: 0:01 Look at this girl...it's stunningly beautiful. Beauty from every angle. Skin is flawless omgI She is NATURALLY gorgeous! Her eyes are so damn beautiful

Mya: When you take out some rows of the little pick things in the brush it can create bigger curls if that makes sense. The less the rows the bigger the curls form when brushed

aignaciodc: Well that’s some ridiculously great hair. Still, I’ll never understand how anyone can brush, pull hard and brush, put stuff in and pull/stretch their hair and then magically still have curls. Mine is naturally curly and if I did any ONE of these steps, my curls would be gone. Taking care of curly hair is such a long drawn out detailed pain in the a** process. Worth it (for the one day every two weeks I actually have time to do it).

Stephanie Ber: Thank you so much! I couldn’t figure out what I was doing wrong! I am definitely buying a Denmin brush

Victoria🤠: Amei♥️♥️

Wes Wayne: Gorgeous, gorgeous curls!

Siham Soleil: Beautiful curls

Sarah kivo: Hi, this is a really important question to me and I don’t know if it messes up my routine. Everything seems to go right until I put on gel at the end and my hair just feels really hard and brittle the next day. Do you think I should just stop using gel and just moisturise with Aloe Vera every time it feels dry? This question is open to anyone that believes they have any reason as to why my hair responds like this and can suggest any effective method to prevent this.

Gigi Reddick: Gorgeous hair, educational and fun video. New subscriber great content!! Gigi

Leilani Ridsdale: YOUR REALLY PRETTY!!!!!! Also, Thankyou, this is very helpful as we have really similar hair

Esther Chimanga: You can detangle with the Denman D4 also. You need to part your hair into about 6 sections, spray a leave-in then detangle by brushing starting from the ends and working your way up:).

Clair Parker: They sell the Denman brushes at Price Attack salons as well Such a beauty love your technique

Alessandra: Oh wow good technique. I have naturally curly hair too and will def be trying this!!

Caliban Yris: I had this kind of brush unused somewhere without knowing how magic it was !! excellent discovery thank you !

Jacq Blaq: I have a brush similar to the Denman brush but not that brand, I didn't realise that it wasn't meant to be used for detangling, whoops! Thank you!

Eve Assunção: Me sinto mt bilingue assistindo vídeos de gringas assim. Amazing girl

Catherine Louise: Absolutely incredible hair and skin and face and everything.

Tayisha Feliciano Lopez: The reason for the removal of the rows is to clean the brush from the oils and products easily

Mireya Sotelo: I need you to know that I love your channel so much that I watch every ad all the way through so you can get the coin you deserve queen

Millie M: I wish my wavy hair were curlier. Don’t think this will work for me. But I use the Denman brush to curl my hair, saw a video on that and it works great for that. Gives me nice ringlet curls then 2nd day I comb it and I have nice waves/curly on ends

Vicefaun: wow you are soo soooooo beautiful!! thanks for the awesome tutorial, i’ll be trying this tonight!!

1919Nada: I think you can remove a row for thinner hair or even to clean the brush which is sth I would defiantly do :D Thank you for the review.

Heidi Ullrich: I've never seen the Denman brush used this way. I'm definitely going to try it this way!!

Helene Scime: The rows come out so you can properly clean the brush (dry skin, product, hair). Love my Denman 7!

chn nnnj1 ,': Jayme Jo, May God continue to bless you, your family, and Business in Jesus name! Thank you for the tips!

Isaiah Hamilton: Now see, even before applying makeup on yourself, you still a pretty face that can never be ignored. Whatever brand of soap you're using it's working like a superb healing element, as in when you dip any color of a pure of heart in water to restore something to life again.

Genesis Silverio: CAN U DO A FULL VERY DETAILED CURLY HAIR ROUTINE !!!!!

Eugenia Glugan: I love your curls!! You're so cute! Thanks for this video!

Bhawana Sharma Stoffel: Wow thank you I will try for sure I was looking this technique for a long time❤❤

looney dru: the “less and more row” is so you can clean out the hair easier and when you take the denman out don’t pull it straight out like that it slides on and off if you look at the top

Gumdrop Lemonpie: Ugh!!! I loveeee your hair I’m going to follow this routine even tho my hair isn’t as curly as yours lol

Natalia Rodriguez: If you just slide the pink part of the brush up its a LOT easier to remove and you can slide it right back in also! No struggles

melodymorgan: My hair looks exactly like yours when I come out of the shower and when I brush it, it has really defined curls but then I brush it again and it drys it gets all frizzy, and then it’s not curly anymore! Help to figure out what I’m doing wrong and to keep my hair curly when it drys

Jaida C: I NEEDED this we literally have the same type of hair cause my hair is a MESSS I need to follow your steps

Angel Abrego: Hi, thanks for the tips btw. Every do not do I was doing perfectly for my 3D type of hair.
