My hair is its own person.. Her name is Rebecca. ( intro pop music ). Today we're gon na try the best anti-frizz products for curly hair. Mines like fine but yeah. There'S a lot., I wan na, say kinky curls.. My is very, very thick.. We'Re gon na damp our hair. ( laughs ). I don't know about this Shiela listen.. I don't wan na spill, this. ( screams loudly ). Do I look wet (, laughs ). I have a lot of hair. Same.. Sorry I didn't mean ..., (, laughs ). Why is the frizz crossed out Cause? We don't want frizz., Oh duh, It's a really classy bottle. Yeah, it is.. I like the smell.. It smells like roses. It smells like flowers. When I have like stuff that smells like Skittles. I'M like I don't want my hair to smell like no damn Skittles., (, laughs, ), Here's the thing. - I don't like when they say use generously. Cause that just means I'm gon na have to buy a new one, very soon.. This is so true.. I just know. I'M gon na need a lot.. It smells like a rich lady.. It'S already my hairs like absorbing it.. It'S not thick at all, which I like.. It doesn't feel like there's a lot of product in my hair.. This is not helping create any sort of pattern.. It actually seems to okay. - And this is like an area of my hair - that gets really frizzy.. Look it's like straightening out even more., So I can already tell with my hair this wouldn't do well.. I feel like it's given your curls moisture, but it's not really giving it that pop.. I like how light it feels. I don't like a lot of product in my hair. Because then it feels like it's weighing my hair down., I'm gon na say no to Living Proof for me, because I feel like a little wet terrier right. Now.. I'D probably give this for me like a two. Quite honestly., I give it a two.. I give this a three.. I think it's pretty. Okay, average.! I don't love it, but I don't hate it. Either. ( pop music ). Oh God, it's clear. More frizzy.. This is like for me the signature Deva Curl, smell. Yeah. It smells like childhood. Ooh. I like the way my curls are popping.. It just doesn't feel like it's defining anything for me.. In order for hair to not be frizzy, I have to define it with a curl styling creme., Yeah., (, laughs ). I don't know if I actually like the texture of this at all, because it feels very slimy like snot.. I also don't feel like it's really penetrating my curl.. I feel like it's just sitting on top of it.. I feel like this one defines my curl a lot more than the other product, which I like.. I think you put something underneath first and I think you put this over it.. I feel like there's a lot less stray hairs.. It'S 100 % sulfate paraben, silicone free. Say that three times fast. Sulfate paraben, silicone free., Sulfate, paraben, silicone free., Sulfate paraben, silicone free.. I think this is not the product for my curl.. I think this is for a different person. Yeah.. I would say three to four to be honest. Yeah. I would give it a 3.5. I'd. Give it a four. I'd, give it a 3.5., It's a bit better than the other one. ( pop music ) Caviar Cream.. This looks really bougie.. It does have caviar in the title. Caviar., Which I like., Okay, so it's real fancy.. I think whoever is deciding what these products smell like is just like. On top of it.. I like the way it feels., I got ta say it feels less frizzy this section, then, when I put it it., This isn't really like de tangling.. I feel, like my hairs, getting knotty.. I do like that. It'S thick. I like that. It says heat protection, which means you can put this on your hair if you're gon na blow dry, it. Right. This ones a good go to. I feel like if your ..., At the end of the day and everything's kind of frizzed out and you just wan na, do a touch up. Yeah, that's true.! I give it a 3.7.. I give it a four because of the texture of it. I like how thick it is., So I have a little more faith in it. Three and a half. I'd, give it a four for me.. I like it., I'd, probably rate it a four as well as the Deva. Yeah. I think I'd rate it a four.. My favorite is the Living Proof. _, I'm gon na go with the Caviar one to start off with and finish it off with the Deva Curl.. So overall I'd say my favorite would be the Caviar.. I think it kinda does a lot of things just for this. One product which is great., I'm gon na, go with Deva Curl., Just because as much as I did like the Caviar Cream, I felt like Deva Curl comes through with the smells. And I'm a big sense person.. If I was gon na use one, I think it would have to be the Caviar one. Just cause it's hard to find something you can put in dry hair.. Did it make your hands really soft Ooh? I didn't even notice. My hand is quite soft. Ooh.. I do wan na say that with my frizz I actually don't have much of a problem with it.. I constantly have hair dressers coming up to me being like ``. I know how to get that frizz right out.'', I'm like that's just the way that my hair grows on my head.. I know we all wan na control, frizz., Who told us frizz, was bad in the first place. Yeah. That'S what I'm saying.. If your curl feels good, then it probably looks good too.. Oh shit, Put that on a tee shirt.

mrslevitae: They should've used spray bottles, not water bottles... The naturals especially should have known that. They should have washed their washed their hair before using each product so they could see what the ACTUAL product was doing, and not them all in a jumbled mix. ❤

Kate Craighead: it drove me crazy how they did all of them in one day.. i feel like when trying a product you should leave atleast one day for it to sit and work in your hair

Sailor Earth: Y'all mean to tell me you were able to get Sephora/ Ulta brand products but you couldn't get spray bottles???

Brittney E: This video is so poorly set up. How could they give a fair judgment that quickly? I don't understand how someone could judge a product on frizz control without even waiting for their hair to dry. They should have taken their time and used one product at a time throughout their entire hair and gauged how it works throughout the whole day. EDIT: Nevermind, I just read the description: "Just so you know, BuzzFeed may collect a small share of sales from the links on this page." I don't think they ever intended to give fair and honest reviews. I usually don't mind if youtubers receive a commission off of products they genuinely recommend, but this video just feels like a rushed advertisement.

Miss Raquel: Shila should do a big chop and chronicle her journey post big chop. She'd have fun trying out new products and styles.

Makayla Carson: I wish the really curly people would have dampened their hair more! No frizz products work best on wet hair to avoid frizz in the future (coming from a 3c/4a person)

Lily Broussard: I thought this was going to be people with natural curly hair telling us about the products they like for their hair. That would have been so much more helpful

K G: I would love to see a series for curly haired peeps. I’m still looking for answers to so many questions regarding curly hair so it would be nice to see people try out different products for a specific amount of time to see how it works. I would honestly watch all those videos and can guarantee that all the curly haired women out there would watch it too!

Oddly: “I don’t want my hair to smell like no damn skittles!”

Jenna Teen: Loving these curly hair videos recently keep it up! I actually created my own personal hair routine thanks to these videos and my curls look beautiful.❤️

Shadia Pulido: I love seeing curl-based videos on popular channels. Spread the love and awareness of natural hair ♥️

5th Best Carter: 1. get a spray bottle, not a water bottle. 2. you can't layer all of that stuff on top of each other. You only create ineffective buildup.

Alexa Michelle: Big chop Sheila! Your curls will thank you for it ❤️ health over length ☺️

Cate Brooks: Three words: organic coconut oil. My daughter has remarkable curls, and the coconut oil not only moisturizes and leaves her hair mostly de-tangled all day, it has a very mild, inoffensive smell, and is waaaaay less expensive than any of these reviewed products. One might think it would leave her hair oily, but we use very little, and apply it when her hair is wet; if there's excess or if she feels greasy, we dab it off.

Bryana Camille Braxton: I have thick 3b hair and I love the living proof styling cream. defines my curls well. No frizz. Totally worth the money.

Kayla Davis: They didn't even try the products well, they poured water bottles in their hair and tried 4 products at once. How does that do the product any justice ???? As a fellow curly hair girl, I'm hella disappointed

Rooted Locs: Girl with the wavy hair: I like how light it is Other girl with curlier hair: uh ha....hmm....oh....uh hm Me: laughs in 4c

Muddy: DevaCurl is a blessing for us curly girls. By far my go to product! I reccomend to anyone having trouble embracing their curls :)

Innocent-child: YES! i was waiting for this video, but like buzzfeed can't you do this with more affordable products? Girl i would finish those 20/30 bucks bottles in no time. I need it to be cheap!

Savannah M.: This was put together so poorly.... they tried all of the products at once and used them over each other ! How are you supposed to get a good review when you’re not letting them sit in— and their hair wasn’t even completely wet. Smh this was thrown together

Maia A: What's the point of this? some people need heat to penetrate their hair, so not all products will work with cold water. it doesnt appear to me that anyone here used the instructions on the bottle. you can't test leave-in on what looks to me to be already styled hair with product. No mention of how it works on different textures. By the end it looks as if one girl had 3 different conditioners in her hair how could she even give the last bottle a fair try. if you're going to even ATTEMPT to represent the struggle of maintaining curly/frizz-free hair for different hair textures i'm gonna need more than a bottle of water, a table and putting product on two strands of hair. waste of a video. The curly hair community is so huge buzzfeed you could have done way better.

Kaitlyn R.: Love the idea and that they are catering to us curly haired people who need love too (and also the variety of curls shown). I agree with the posts though that the products never had a chance from not showering inbetween. Please redo this for us and only take the negative posts as motivation to redo next video in this series. Next one do curly products under $15 (budget) for us.

giselflores: Sheila's hair isn't really curly, she just uses alot of products to try and make her hair curly causing her ends to look really damaged

Kylo Ren: I love devacurl. It works great with my hair, but I have to use the full line in order for it to work the best.

sv 93: It's supposed to go on soaking wet hair at least the DevaCurl stuff and I reckon the rest as well or else the stuff makes your hair sticky

KP: I call for a re-do that actually includes not using the products over one another and actually allowing your hair to dry so that you can fact-check the true level of frizziness.

Emily Mccall: They should also be aware there’s different types of curly hair that responds to different types of product and shouldn’t be judged by people with all different kinds of curly hair, look up the kinds you may have and what would work good for your curl type. None of those would work on my hair but I buy mixed chicks hair products and they all work wonders for curls and frizz. It all depends on the person :)

itsmeekay j: I was so excited about this video but it was horrible from the start. They only wetted their hair instead of washing out the products they already have in. If they were going to use all the products at once the should have done it in sections so each product was applied evenly. And they should have let the products set in none of them were given a fair shot especially since they put product on top of product and every natural knows that most products seriously do not mix. BuzzFeed needs to do this video over again properly

Kat5522: The video was poorly put together. What are you testing? 1. The hair was not wet- it was completely dry- and most likely already had product in it. 2. The products were being used on top of each other so you could not have effectively tested it out. 3. The products did not have time to work - you should have left it in for some part of the day and checked back on it later. The people testing it out should have taken the products home and tested a new one each time they washed their hair.

Eagle Eye Gordon: I could never wet my hair with a water and expect to get an accurate feel of the product. And these products seem more suited for "non urban" curly hair types, hence you noticed a big difference on someone like Curly, as opposed to Julissa.

Snm Meeps: Carols daughter is great for soft curls. But L'oréal cream gel makes really well defined curls (slightly crunchy though) .

BBgirl 1253: From the thumbnail I can already tell these products r too expensive for me

amy dylan: They should absolutely do a re-do, I was confused the entire time. 1) They should've used spray bottles, not awkwardly attempted to wet their hair with water bottles. You can get a spray bottle from the dollar store any day of the week. 2) The product selection was clearly chosen by someone who doesn't know nearly enough about hair products as they should. There are legitimately good anti-frizz products (Alikay Naturals, Carol's Daughter, Shea Moisture--just to name a couple mainstream ones) that they could've tested. Did they use these products because they received PR packages? Or were they paid to specifically feature these products? This is just a personal thing: I am incredibly annoyed by the one Buzzfeed employee with dyed "curly" hair who makes countless videos about her straightening her hair or her curly haired woes. Your hair is wavy. Why don't you give that platform to any of the other Buzzfeed people with genuinely curly hair?

Angela Vasquez: It took me a while to be in love with my frizz but yes!...I like all reviews on devacurl so I think I may try that one

Sunnie: “It smells like rich lady”

Michelle A: Deva curl has different products for different textures and you actually have to use a few of their products together

Marie: Wish you guys would have done this video right. did you guys wash out the leftover products from the product yall used beforehand? Or at least have different sections of hair for each product. Then how about how they dry? Maybe it’s different dried rather than on wet hair?? Ugh. I really needed this video too because my hairs wavy but mildly frizzy. I feel like there was no clear winner in the end either. Anyways, rant over.

XtinaLucia: This was an awful way to test a product

Erika: This is a Boldy video & I know at least 1 of the members is a natural girl. To not have spray bottles instead of water bottles was the first mistake and only about 2 people actually had their hair wet (most of their hair seemed dry and the products most likely won't work on hair that's not atleast damp). The second problem was putting product on top of product instead of doing them in sections. And just out of curiosity, I wonder why they didn't let the products dry and set to see the real results.

Kayla: They don’t give the products a fair chance when they don’t use them correctly like you are layers them and put a drop of water in your hair

Sonnet Shea: I use DivaCurl products. You can’t really just use one, you have to use all of them. I use their shampoo, conditioner, and 2 after-shower products. And then you have to scrunch your hair if you want it defined.

H M: I'm glad they did a video with people of different races who have curly hair. All curly girls have hair struggles!

Maia Y: It would be awesome if you guys redid this video and have it span over the course of a week, so we can see the actual results of each product.

L.R. Red: I use the devacurl one once in a while, it's good if you use it as a gel not as a leave-in. I'm a little tempted to try the caviar cream.

With Peace & Love: uh they didn't actually test the anti frizz capabilities of them. As a curly girl, I would love to see them redo this video where each of them used one product each day of the week and actually let their hair dry to see how much frizz they had at the end of the day.

noodel: It’s weird how Sara’s hair stays thick after the amount of dying it’s gone through.

hermit_artemis: Was that actually enough time to check for no frizz? I feel like your hair needs to be more dry first. You could do a definition check maybe, though I thought this was just anti-frizz and not definition cream, but that was pretty quick to judge frizz. These also seemed to be back-to-back and...eh. I call DO OVER

R Lynn: You picked the wrong Deva Curl product. You should've tested the Super Cream Coconut Cream Styler. That is their BEST product and it's AMAZING.

Lulu: I love that they used all different types of curly hair...

SIMONE SAGA: Ugh I don’t know what y’all see but Shelia has tight waves at BEST. It’s damn sure not curly or straight. Wavy girls need love too

Lisa McIntyre: I really like the CC cream. And it smells so good.

Melissa C: Do one for wavy hair

Saradipity Do: If anyone is looking for a good anti frizz product you can use on dry hair I recommend John Frieda frizz ease secret weapon touch up creme. It works so nicely for me! I have thick wavy/curly in some places hair.

E.: loving the comments speaking on how to properly try out new products. And I have to agree the water bottles were really sad. Y'all could've ran to target and got those little $2 spray bottles. Come on now. Side note, natural hair/curly products can be MAD EXPENSIVE, and I'm mad about it.

FiercelyTina: A water bottle?? A spray bottle is less than $1. It would’ve been better if they took the product home with them and did their hair out of the shower. Just sayin.

Leila Vahabzadeh: Aussie hair conditioning spray and John Frieda conditioning spray. All I need to say. Those CHANGED MY LIFE

EJV: Finally a video with people with actual curly hair and not wavy

Claro: I find it very hard to believe that naturally curly girls think this is the way to test a product

Jasleen: First of all,wet it with a spray bottle. Second,Either wash your hair in between each product or use a different section for every product.

Daisy: Great video concept BUT I think they need to have em on for a whole day! BuzzFeed you should really do one like that... Please

loveforeignaccents: At least wash out the previous product instead of layering them all on.

Milan: I swear by deva curl products. Never have any frizz AT ALL, but it is all about how you handle your hair. It has to be wet, and it has to be massaged with the products in a specific way to prevent frizz.

Sophia: I love this, but these are expensive so can you guys do one with drugstore products?

Tessa Palanek: Yay more curly haired video's!!

Audrey Jean: I'm looking for a leave in conditioner that defrizzes and has straighting effects. Does anyone have any suggestions. (Btw I have wavy hair not curly hair, my hair is just frizzy and would really like it if a leave in conditioner could straighten my hair as well!)

windycitydreaming: Shila's hair is wavy, not curly. There are zero curls there. Wavy girls need love too, so it's cool to see her, but for the love of all things, that's not what a 'curl' is.

Cat Albanesi: Can you separate them out by curl type?

Bianca G: i love love love the deva curl coconut curl cream

Thandiwe Croke: Julissa needs to drop that hair routine real quick.

Jessie150: I need this so bad xD my hair is a mix of Irish, Scottish, Spanish and Italian so it’s hella curly and messy and FRIZZZZYY AFFF all the time

EH CBunny: Use real shampoo bars made with vegetable oils, various kinds of milk and lye and not the ones found in LUSH because they contain SLS which makes your hair frizzy.

Kahle Tobias: Love love love Deva Curl products

LewHen Silvar: As a curly haired Latinx, I appreciate this video but I wish they had actually put them to the test for like a whole day, not just trying them on in a section of their hair for like probably less than one hour.

J .Victoria: I was cringing the entire time because this is such an inaccurate representation of what each product does. They should have washed their hair first. Like, you don't layer on different products onto old hair when you actually do you hair. You wash out whatever is in your hair first and start from scratch. That just bothered me...

diana M: Why didn’t they grab a spray bottle to dampen their hair??? I’m already done with this video

Mary Luevano: They should have used one for each day not all in one day to give it a chance. That’s a lot of products in one time.

Madalyn M: If there's 4 products, you should split it into 4 days so you can wash your hair and see how it is the whole day.

Mrs. Adriann: I need a movie with Julissa and Tiffany Haddish where they are twins separated at birth and Julissa was raised by a Dominican family and Tiffany Haddish was raised by a black family but their obvious kindred connection brings them together. lol

Janelle Ortega: LOVEEE the caviar one!!

PixelatedTwix: Devacurl products are my holy grails...next to Terressentials mud wash.

Ishan Ali: Anti frizz is not needed. They’re all beautiful af

Laura C: They're not applying each product to clean hair, putting on product onto each other isn't going to give a real representation of each product

An angry cat: Isn’t anti-Frizz not good for curly haired people since some of the products in there can cause frizz? Or am I wrong...?

Stacey Irungu: They couldn't give y'all some spray bottles instead of a whole bottle of water?

Ashley Johnson: 10/10 would buy a #teamfrizz shirt

Social Media: I have bone straight relaxed hair but I'm still watching this

god is dead: Why didn’t they just give them spray bottles

StumpedGiraffe: See the people shouldn't be looking for products that tame their frizzy hair they should be looking for a product that enhances their hair because big frizzy / curly hair is beautiful

Ange N.O.: Maaaaan, B Leave-in is life. If you use it by itself...so dope.

Jordan Powell: Why do they keep putting Sheila in these curl videos when she has heat damage and they look bad?

Hend Elnady: You should've used every product separately ! and then test it with blow/air drying .

Olivia Perryman: Should've used the Living Proof Curl Cream instead of the general frizz one

Gooseneckbottle: Great. Now, what do you do if you don't have $20-$40 to spend on hair gel?

Rachel: "My hair is its own person, and it's name is Rebecca." I died

olivia jayne: I LOVE the curly hair vids

Joy Armstrong: This needs to be an all day test in the humidity

Kayla Singer: These are all also meant for after you wash your hair and it’s still wet

Eloisa Campuzano: Coconut oil is a blessing for my curls

kimani: expensive and not for hairs that are 4C

Weirdo: I NEEDED THIS IN MY LIFEEEEEEE
