Hey guys welcome back to my channel my simple remedies, so you think you know how to wash your own hair. After all, you've been doing it, your whole life and it's pretty straightforward. What are you really using the right techniques and is your in shower technique? Helping you reach your hair's full potential, or is it actually hindering you today, I'm going to show you how to wash your hair, but before moving on, please be sure to subscribe to my channel. My simple remedies start by rinsing your hair with hot water, hot water? Will open the cuticle, which is good for removing any dirt or product trapped in the hair? Once your hair has been rinsed with warm water, it loosens the oils throughout the scalp and opens up the cuticle, so it's able to absorb the oil step 2. If you have long hair condition firsts yes, really, if you have hair that goes beneath your shoulders, protect fragile ends from drying out and experiencing further damage by running a small amount of conditioner through the ends of your hair and lightly rinsing. Before you shampoo, step 3 lather up, but only at the scalp, you only need to shampoo the hair at the scalp, particularly at the nape. The best way to lather up is from roots to ends. The hair closest to the scalp is the youngest and will inevitably be the oiliest while the end of the hair is the oldest and usually the driest most fragile part of the hair step 4. Be gentle. Friction can permanently damage your hairs, cuticle, leading to breakage and frizz. Think about washing your hair, like you would wash your delicates if you're liking. This video so far be sure to hit that subscribe button and give this video a thumbs up also be sure to share with your friends step 5. Don'T rinse and repeat, despite what the instructions may say, on the back of your shampoo bottle, there's no need to wash your hair twice step. 6 finish with a cold water, rinse, cold water will shut the cuticle tight, sealing the outer layer and holding moisture in. I hope you found these tips to be helpful. Let us know in the comments, if you decide to try this simple remedy for yourself, be sure to give this video a thumbs up and share with your friends thanks so much for watching

G I N A GK: I am a hairstylist and that hairwashing technique is all wrong! Actually you need to really massage the scalp with your fingertips using gentle pressure so that the oxyegenating blood comes to the surface and feeds your hair folicles. Being too gentle cannot get the blood flowing on the scalp. Men especially think if they scrub their scalp they will bald. Far from the truth. Not massaging your scalp leads to tight scalp. Loose scalp is when you do not massage your scalp properly. This can lead to hair loss. The hair can only break at the scalp if the hair is extremely damaged from overprocessing with chemicals and over doing with the hot iron. You need to massage right through to the ends to help get rid of build up of conditioners, mousees, gels, waxes, hairspray and other products that are used.

Moon Moon: So when i was a kid to about 18 i always washed my hair every other day with shampoo and conditioner. Id shampoo up, rinse, then condition up(with ALOT of conditioner ALL over my entire hair)and let it sit in my hair for 2-3 min before rinsing. My hair was insanely healthy, it was long and silky and never tangled. I look back and i wish i appreciated it more. But now i am 27 and for the past 9 years ive followed the advice, you only condition a couple times a week and when you do be sparing and only put it on your ends. Well my hair is the unhealthiest its ever been. I recently(past few months) started to switch back to how i use to wash my hair as a kid and im seeing it springing back to life. Moral of the story...be careful what you believe on the internet... (Not that this video is wrong, just my personal story/advice)

타싸0160: "I'M WASHING ME AND MY CLOTHES"

Elizabeth Huff: Do we have to wear a black shirt in the shower too? Lol. JK. Very informative vid

Jeany: If y’all have curly hair, like myself, I just learned that using a t-shirt ( to dry the hair after a shower ) is better than using a towel, since it’s rough it will leave the hair all frizzy and dry. Ignore my spelling- but it does help with the friz.

Melinda Meisener: I love this video!! Anyway to keep my long hair looking it's best, is a good thing in my book. I started only washing my hair 1 maybe 2 times a week about 2 years ago, and it's so much healthier than before. I will now have to try washing it this way.

bubble toes: this is good but wont conditioning before shampooing do nothing since the shampoo will just wash out all the moister?

Alexis schaeffer: I have hair almost past my butt now and I find my hair feels so much more healthy now that I wash it ever 2-3 days!

Juliana Garretson: Oh and another thing for 3. Hot water actually takes out your natural oils that you need to have non dry hair. It strips your oils just like it would for your skins natural oils

Ninja: To my embarrassment, I never learned how to wash my hair properly. This really helped.

Geetansh Goyal: It's right to wash hair with war water first but later by washing with cold water , can increase the chances for Cold and fever because firstly we are using warm water and then cold

bun bun: Another thing is to wash your hair last so you don't have to deal with cold water for the rest of your shower. Great video!

gircakes: I always noticed that when I'm at the end and rinsing out the conditioner and any shampoo that may be left, when I turn the water colder because I'm overheating, it feels way more effective at removing any residue and getting my hair squeaky clean.

creamm.: When u put on shampoo and ur bout to rinse it, make sure to use warm water so it will open up ur hair things. But when ur rinsing off ur hair when u use conditioner, make sure to use cold water so that it will lock the hair things and keep ur hair soft as a baby skin (not really but u get the point)

SunrisePrix: I have super thick straight hair and struggled with dry scalp (head&shoulders made it worse). Followed these tips and problem solved

Kelly Brookes: Actually you’re meant to shampoo twice otherwise the oils and dirt won’t actually all come out and you’re actually meant to rub quite hard on the scalp as a massage to open the cuticles too and also removes dirt

Kai Hyu: I've washed my hair with a bunch of conditioner and shampoo and it makes it soft. It looks healthy to me xD tho my mum yells at me for wasting too much.

Zelzega: “Wash your hair like you would your delicates”, so put my hair in the washing machine on the delicate setting?

Thynisia: Good advice, I understand thanks! Although I noticed you did a wrong movement at the end of the video to your hair. You were doing friction and this is not good for the hair.

Valar Dohaeris: In the end, you shouldn't rub your hair the way you did at 2:39. You need to drain it or dry it by dabbing with a towel. Rubbing your hair causes friction and will damage your hair

SamWitch: I appreciate the effort but so much of this is incorrect. 1. Hot water is damaging to the hair (it’s later mentioned as warm water but it’s important to understand the difference. 2. Conditioning first (for many people) is counterintuitive and leads to dryer hair. 3. Yes, repeated, overly vigorous scalp scrubbing can cause problems - but usually only in conjunction with other issues (I.e. hair dye/ bleaching). Whereas it’s actually important to stimulate their scalp for blood flow and hair growth. 4. You absolutely should wash twice because a lot of the dirt and grime in hair is layered. Think of it almost like cleaning carpet. Vacuuming gets the surface dust off but a deep clean (or for hair a second shampoo) gets in there and lifts all the gunk out. At the end of the day, people can do what they want with their hair but it’s also important to discuss with someone who actually handles hair for a living what will be best for them. Just like skin types (or really anything) there isn’t a one size fits all.

Call Me Swivel Hips: I thoroughly rinse my hair with quite warm (but not hot) tap water. then hit it with cold water. Then I spray it with distilled water to remove mineral build up. Then I shake it out to dry it. I like to comb it with my wooden and bone combs before hitting the shower. But that's my full routine. Works very well for me.

BA86ali: Conditioning hair first is futile because you’re washing out anything left behind with the shampoo. So that’s a waste of product. The way she shampooed was far too gentle. I’m a hairstylist and you rinse hair with water so it’s soaking, shampoo scalp in circular movements, rinse, repeat, then squeeze excess water, conditioner and comb through then rinse thoroughly.

Kylie: Okay you see I have a problem there. My hair absolutely hates water. The moment my hair become wet it begins to tangle like no other. So when you're brushing your fingers through your hair, I literally cannot do that.

Maryam: Hot water is not good for the hair. My hair is really long, and I only use warm and cold water. I don't start off with conditioner. It's not a mistake, if we wash our hair differently and it works.

Sarah Ross: This is one of the best videos I have ever seen. I am so glad to watch this simple video of how to wash my hair propely. THANK YOU FOR MAKING THIS VIDEO <3

Jay Dee G: There is a need to wash your hair twice, 1st time is to losen all the oils and grime and the 2nd is to wash it all out!! There is no need to condition your hair b4 shampooing. Does absolutely nothing that the conditioner won't do after shampooing!! And yes, I'm a hairdresser!! No need for hot water... warm water is enough to open cuticles!! Hot water will dry your hair!! If it works for you then that's amazing but you should not be recommending other people your routine!!

KHADIJA RAHMAN: OmA- oh my Allah . I followed your Instructions and my hair looking so shiny silky and feels healthy❤ Love from Bangladesh

RJ Woods: Ive never been this excited to wash my hairthank you❤

Koala Bear: My mom says i can’t wash my hair properly so I came here, I’m 16 :)))

Nieng: Thanks but make sure to wait your hair for about 5 minutes before rinsing

corinne: i sometimes need to wash my hair twice! it is good because one is for the oil and dirt and the next one is to clean it.

Clem entine: I thought I was doing it wrong since my hair gets greasy 2 minutes after I shower but no. I am doing it right :(

Joshua Philips- Kerrigan: Very Useful, how many times do you wash your hair a day. I do mine twice a day every day but I think I'm doing it too much

Grand Crackers: Since you condition before washing; Do you have to condition again after washing?

Robyn Waugh: Everyone’s hair type is different and will need to be treated differently. I have loads of wavy hair but it’s baby fine and I have to wash my hair twice or it will still look greasy. I’ve also learned only washing my hair a few times a week helps keep the grease down overall. I also condition before and after shampooing to prevent drying, and the moisture also helps my hair to hold its natural curl better. My sister on the other hand has super curly hair and she can go through three bottles of Conditioner before one bottle shampoo.

Ryn Hernandez: Can this work for naturally curly hair that's still over the shoulder?

Dakotacora J: This is really helpful these tips made my hair longer :)

Roxanna Boyd: WOW!!! I have been washing my hair wrong thinking I was doing it right

Tracey H: Great advice, thanks.

TRIED OF DUMB ASS PEOPLE: Thank you for sharing with us and yes I did learn a lot Plus I do wash twice no more from now on

Kewi: I was told you should wash with luke warm water and that cold water would open your cuticles in your hair and hot seals them. Sooo which is exactly right?

Amarlie Lamont: NEVER condition your hair first! This makes ur hair greasy and conditioner should always go last it deranged ur hair after it’s been cleaned and washed thoroughly!!!!

яємι_ The_Cheetah_WAO: Wow, I didn't know about the cold water helping with shine and everything... I'll start rinsing my hair out with cold water now, thanks. :)

Tury Ruiz: Wow thanks that really helped me

Rachel Littlewood: Yep ive been washing my hair right all along :)

莉迪亚: If your using hot water I would recommend using cool-ish water. Heat can damage your hair

Tatayt: So she tells us about friction and than proceeds to rub her hair together if that wouldn't cause frizz 2:37

Lydia Grover: Just what I'm looking for! But if u condition first do u use conditioner after the shampoo?

Eliza Schuyler: "never clean your hair twice" Me: oh I never do that so I'm good!

Jean Bush: I am growing out a short even cut so my hair is not yet to my shoulders but past my ears. I wash once or twice a week. I brush the oil down the shafts every night. When it's oily & not time for the shampoo, I just put my hair up with a clip. I love Garnier Honey Treasures. I deep condition with egg, coconut oil & a bit of olive oil once every 2 months. My hair loves it.

sam gate: When i was doing hairdressing at tafe - what you said was what they said. How ever they say to do it twice because the customer is so use to being told to it twice they no longer would believe it was done if not washed twice.

May-bell-love: Actually, if you have really thick hair, like I do, you have to do it twice otherwise it just gets oily the next day which is soo annoying

soph noel: if you condition first, the shampoo will wash out all of the conditioner and undo its effects since its cause is to cleanse. if you put conditioner in first, condition afterwards too :)

anna: Be gentel guys... be gentel

Joslyn Hall: Anytime I've ended a shower with 'cold water' it made my hair hard to brush through and dry feeling. EVERYONES HAIR IS DIFFERENT.

Gaohnubqub Livon: Does this really make your hair long?

pinkfull: That did help

Bisma Tariq: What if half of my hair is above my shoulders and the other half is below? Do I individually put conditioner in the hairs that are below my shoulder? My hair is layered

Megers and food: This is so cool I will definitely try this out!

swarupa kawade: I had problem removing oil from hair with cold water. Now I know the correct method

Huskylover 5314: I tried this and my hair is so fabulous

Mi Mi Lils': I wash my hair everyday and I find it so so silky, even though it's really thick

lemon: I’ve been rinsing my hair with cold water for a bit now Recommend it 15/10

Manasi Sheth: I apply oil before washing my hair... so to remove it effectively... I always need to rinse and repeat

: DatDeerDoe :: Hmm... Maybe my hair isn't very healthy because I've been washing it the wrong way...Next time I take a shower I will try to use these points! *the next day:* *forgets about the video and continues to wash hair the "wrong" way.* ☁☁☁☁☁☁ ☁☁☁☁☁☁ ☁☁☁☁☁ ☁☁☺☁☁ ☁☁☁☁☁ ☁☁☁☁☁☁ ☁☁☁☁☁☁ ☁☁☁☁~~LOL*

Megan Russell: Do not shampoo your ends, shampoo will dry out your ends all you have to do is shampoo your scalp when you wash out your shampoo it will cleanse your hair as it travels down the rest of your hair while rinse it out and use conditioner last you really only have to use conditioner on the shaft and the ends of your hair.

RedMoonDragon: I can see using conditioner first but if I wash and don't condition a second time, I'll never get a brush through my bum length hair. I'll try the precondition but will also end by conditioning, as well.

Sara Payton: This is really helpful I have long hair and I need to know how to wash it carefully and the right way

Giselle: I’m I the only one who just needs to work on the cold water part I always shower with hot water

Charlie Knobcheese: Can anybody help me please. On my shampoo bottle the instructions state 1. Wet hair. 2. Wash hair. 3. Rinse hair. 4. Repeat. I have been washing my hair for two months now, surely it must be clean.

artofbeast: what temperature is best to open up the pores on your scalp

Jaccika Jakie: I dunno ‍♂️ how I actually manage to do all these correctly... But Still My hair is thinning Yeah I'm *13*
