Hawaii has to be one of my top 3 favorite places to visit. It’s the one place Shaun and I can really disconnect from work. We’ve been here so many times that we’ve already done the tourist trip so there’s no pressure to see stuff this time around.
Back home Rylan is getting ready to take her ACT scores. Just like Kamri and the twins, Rylan also plans to graduate high school early so she has to start applying to colleges earlier than normally. We like to take an early ACT test blindly to see what we know and what we need to work on so that when it comes to taking it a second time around, we’re really prepared. It really helps focus your studying on the right material.

Since they live a couple of hours apart, they don’t get to see each other a lot during the week, but this day, Dakota decided to surprise Brooklyn at home with her favorite meal from Arby’s!
Asa is on husband duties and taking care of getting Bailey’s car quoted. Asa should get SOOO many brownie points for this because hanging out at the auto shop for a couple of hours is something I would definitely never volunteer to do!

[ Dakota ] Surprise: Oh my God, ( upbeat music, ) ♪. I got nothing more to lose. ♪ Chad and I have just arrived after a very long day of traveling.. Our first flight got canceled., So we ended up jumping a different, airline's, flight. And then had to do this really wonky transfer in LA and run through terminals. Ugh, Really quick connection flight like layover., So we're here.. Finally got our car took two hours. Our car rental.. We'Re here and we've done our grocery shopping., So now we're ready to just wash out of our or change out of our airport, clothes and shower.. Let me show you the place, we're staying., So when you walk in the front door, this is what you see.. There'S a little half bathroom on this side and that's our washer and dryer., And then in here we have our kitchen. And the family room little eating area.! It'S a view. We're on this little cutout.. You can see the really beautiful green mountains right there. The lush with this little spot. Right here is some kind of I don't know it looks like there may be. I don't know replanting or something or some kind of conservation area., But look at the ocean view., And we have this beautiful fun. Little wraparound porch. That pretty much -- Such a great view.. If you come up the stairs, you have this little two queen bed bedroom with a nice little bathroom as well. And then over here. There'S a loft area with another queen bed up there. And then over here is the master bedroom and you can see the views of both of these windows.. It'S pretty spectacular. And another bathroom. Sean and I are in Hawaii. We're getting a ton of sleep more sleep than I ever get at home, which feels amazing. We're also doing a whole lot of nothing. People. Ask us all the time like what did you do when you were there And the funny thing is, is like we've been here enough times that we, we honestly don't feel like we have to run around seeing all the sites., So we do a little bit of That and we eat in our favorite places, but honestly, it's more just like the ability to not have to do anything.. But this morning we got up and we put on our exercise clothes.. So we were going to go on a walk and then this ( wind blowing ). I don't know if you can tell, but it is raining., It's very windy., Okay guys.. So it is bright and early Saturday morning, I'm taking the ACT today, but I am nervous.. This is my first time taking it. So, like my family does like, where we go in basically blind, the first time. Like we don't do any studying, and then we see what we get like naturally and then work from there.. It'S really stressful, even more because this is the first time I've ever taken it., And it's also like. I have no clue., It's like what to even expect or if I'll, even know it., So it should be interesting., I'm hoping to get like a 20. ( laughs. Nervously ) 20, you know cause like I was just yeah anyway. I have to take it now, as most juniors are, but also I'm applying to college like in this summer, because I'm trying to go graduate early. Geez, I'm like so tired., I'm losing my train of thought. Okay., I'm trying to graduate early semester.. So I'd have to apply like a semester before everyone else would have to apply like summer. While everyone else applies in fall., I'm super nervous.. I hope it goes well.. I really just don't even know how to feel right. Now.. Also, I hate number two pencils. Like I only use mechanical and I hate when testing places will make you use those. They're the worst. Yeah. I'll, keep you updated., Hey. Everybody is Dakota., I am surprising, Brooklyn today.. She doesn't know I'm coming to Oram where she's going to school.. As a lot of you know, we are doing the long distance relationship which is really hard. It sucks., But I have to come to the city today for work, so I'm surprising her with some Arby's.. She loves Arby's, roast beef sandwich., So yeah stay tuned., We're gon na surprise her.. She thinks I'm home working., So stay tuned., All right. I just pulled over, so I can vlog this.. She has actually been on a phone call. All morning.. It'S been easy to try to surprise her, but now she's off of her phone call, and now she keeps trying to FaceTime me., So ( laughs, excitedly ). Luckily we're getting close because it's time to surprise her. All right guys, I'm here with her food., Wait. Til! You see the smile on her face. [ Dakota ], Surprise, Oh, my God, ( Dakota and Brooklyn laughing ) [ Brooklyn ] Hi Hello. Earlier this week, Bailey was taking me to class. And when she got back to our apartment, somebody like backed into her - I don't know.. I don't know if you can tell but there's a little bit of damage right in here, and this is just kind of popped. Up., It's scraped up just a little bit., So I am taking the car in right now to get an estimate., Not really sure how much the repairs are gon na cost.. I don't think it's gon na be too bad, but it's you know. The other person in the accident is gon na to be the one paying for it because it was their fault. But yeah. I still got to deal with this.. So I'll. Let you know what the bid is. Well, so I just handed them the car and they think they might just be able to like pop it back into place and fix it.. So that would be really lucky for the other person and save me an extra trip from here to the repair shop.. So I will let y'all when I find out pretty soon. Well, we did not have any luck with ( laughing ) them just popping it back into place.. Unfortunately, there was a piece or two that was broken on the bumper. And they gave me the estimate back which we will not have to pay, but between the parts, the paint and the labor. It'S looking like about a thousand bucks. Man guys getting in a car wreck is so it's just so expensive. ( laughing ), Oh yeah., So there's that. And in addition to that they are booked out through January. So we would not be able to get it even in to be repaired until January., But luckily there's nothing harmful to the car, nothing that will impact driving, so it should be okay.. It just kind of stinks that Bailey's car now will have this for three months., But at least we'll get it figured out and we won't have to spend our money on it. Yeah.. That is the update, Unfortunate update, but there it is. Don't get in car wrecks guys, ( crowd, talking, ), That's Dax's robot right there, [ Announcer, ], Nice job, (, buzzer, sounding ), (, audience clapping ). So apparently you get points for getting all of these. On your side as many as you can., You get points if you get stuff on the platform like that red one., You get points. If you get a robot on the platform. Say it again. What We won. You won Good job, Bud. 113. I think to 40-something What was the score 113, I think to 40-something. Nice Bud, ( upbeat music, ),
