This is our integrities I've ever seen, and it's my own head like. What'S that and that's the best? Oh just something: hey guys, I'm in LA job, and this is what the Wellness the show where I try out the latest wellness trends and experiences to find out. What'S weird and what's actually worth it today, I'm at blow me away a hair salon, in Los Angeles, to try out their scalp detoxifying treatment. Now I don't know about you, but I think with my hair health. I don't often think about my scalp. In fact, I know I actually don't pay enough attention to my scalp because I load it up with dry, shampoo and other texturizing treatments, and then I don't do a very good job scrubbing it away. When I wash my hair, I think there's like still sand in my hair from the summer. So today I'm gon na get an hour-long Kent scalp, massage treatment, that's supposed to detoxify my scalp and promote healthier hair. But first let's go find out why scalp health is so important in the first place. This is gon na be gross so you're, just like using a camera and I analyze my scalp. So I'll wait did you watch the master plans assembly yesterday? Yes, and normally you just about every day, yeah, why cuz it gets greasy in my hair gets so greasy so fast like what is that it's a buildup yikes? Oh my god, oh yeah, oh my god! So do you see sometimes yeah? Sometimes hey. That'S dry, shampoo. While you use the traction, I use a lot of dry shampoo, oaky yeah, like that's disgusting, my hair just gets greasy really fast, so hopefully you can see how crazy it is right now, maybe it'll of target so greasy all the time because they you didn't wash It and it build up. Thank You, Grayson yeah, you can see. I run the build-up area in the hair, so this one causes too timid. Oh great everything will you watch sugar yeah, so still, please will be fewer. Better washes. Yeah got it so I'm gon na need crazy today and my shadow is ETA and they'll. Also look much: are they your okay, great? So, whatever you first so first and as much as I can about the great and they've been doing this treatment so far in Los Angeles, there's almost four years Wow and we interesting it's been for a long time. I was doing yeah dry shampoo, that very dry shampoo, I'm very visit so 85 miles day, natural oil and that's come up that will need water. You know really 80 % clean water, the Jami amazing facial. All. I can visualize when I close my eyes gross yeah like a bad dream. Okay, I massage yourself yeah the whole body interesting so, but this scalp massage, isn't it also good career growth? What are you there's something we can do at home? Yes, they might need massage. So he has a fishing plane right here, strain right here, and it also does have a fade-in be going here great. This is a pH nipple, your transition to so first one. I think that on exfoliating so squeaky, so aside from thinking lots of water and eating all my vegetables, how do I keep my scalp moisturized? Okay? So if you massage and then also the deep cleansing yourself, it's ending hydrate hydrate, your body is automatically make sure. That'S cool, so you could totally do this at home. You do the math, and then you put a hot towel on your head, like normally I'd, be afraid to put oil on my skull because I feel like it would make me greasy mm-hmm. It'S not is that oil, but it's not equals at Playboy. Yeah looks leaky key. If you clean, I don't have to sit up on my own. This is great true, it's nice Cal, please. I can't believe it could be cleaned after what I just saw. I don't want to see it again, ready I'm ready like fresh they, the field of snow. So now you can see through than your hair follicle yeah. These are supposed to be enough light piece of the evening when you're homeless, anyone like but all right. So you can see, there's a cow clogged up. Everybody saw again the same mother soil. If you poke the pores, you can get the nutria and they grow in the hand. That'S why you have something in the help and this you have to have a post sculpt to be ready to go, and then you look good hair, my healthy root. So this is a perfect. So so now I'm perfect yeah, okay, I'm officially detoxed. It feels clean like it doesn't just look clean. My scalp feels further away that it needs to feel cuz. I think, like a whole level of grime came off my head, I'm gon na throw up okay, so I just got what is a facial for my scalp? The benefits are supposed to be increased blood circulation, reduce muscle tension, a mini, facelift, stress-related more it's on the sign right over there and much more, but mostly it made my scalp look, really shiny and look how good my hair looks. This felt amazing that was crazy was that she wasn't really pressing very hard, which is kind of counterintuitive to what I had expected and I learned a lot so I'm not going to be washing my hair as much as I do when I do wash it. I'M gon na be less lazy, so you know fewer better, washes same thing with conditioner just doing on the end on the days when you don't wash your hair, you can actually still get it wet, because water takes off 80 % of the dust and debris and Oil and all the things that are on your scalp, so shampoos kind of overrated. I also felt like I walked out with some techniques that I can bring home like. It was really interesting what you put the conditioner in my hair and that you put the hot towel on it better absorbed into my hair, like you could totally together home and not waste a really expensive leave on conditioning mask that you have so all it all. Weird are worth it, I mean we're good just because I learned so much. I feel like I'm walking out of here with like a newfound lease on my hair care. I think I'm just gon na be a little bit more methodical and consider it of how I'm washing my hair and when I'm washing my hair versus just like getting in the shower and mindlessly doing what I've been doing. Since I was like what nine

Well+Good: What The Wellness is back with remote episodes from Ella and various experts in quarantine! Check out the latest where Ella does a remote facial with celebrity esthetician, Renee Rouleau: https://youtu.be/hQ3Va1yCHNY

TaMara Farmer: As someone with curly hair I get amazed when people say they wash it every day. I get tired once a week

Caissey Domingos: I work at a salon and everybody I work with can agree that we all hate it when we’re washing someone’s hair and they’re staring at us while at the sink lol

Spice Gyal Lili: 2:40 Rinse with warm water. 80% of buildup is removed with water *invest in a shower head filter Rinse really really well. 3:46 Geranium oil applied to scalp 4:06 Scalp steam 4:45 Scalp massage with exfoliating shampoo Use pressure point *look up pressure points on head 5:35 massage pressure points to stimulate growth 5:40 Ph neutralizing shampoo 5:57 Conditioning hair mask 6:26 Hot towel on hair mask Makes mask absorb better 6:33 Peppermint oil w light oil that absorbs fast

I don't want to ruin my recommendations: "I wash my hair everyday" "I use a lot of dry shampoo" *confusion*

Ellie Summers: you were kind of rude and talking over the lady!! you never gave her time to fully finish her sentences! but overall cool video!

Emily Hamm: u are HUMAN. your scalp isnt always gonna be squeaky clean and thats perfectly ok and incredibly normal

McKenzie Jones: IF YOUR HAIR FREQUENTLY GETS GREASY NO MATTER HOW MUCH YOU WASH IT (like the video said ) YOU PROBABLY HAVE A LOT OF BUILDUP. okay, now that i have your attention i really want to share this with the people struggling with greasy hair!! i used to have incredibly greasy hair, no matter how often i showered. it was especially greasy in the very back of my head. i went to get my hair highlighted at a stylist’s home because she was my go-to stylist and she wasn’t working that day. i get there and she’s prepping and putting foils into my hair and then proceeds to show me her running the blade of scissors down a few pieces of my hair. when i tell you my jaw dropped when this white, dusty build up started flaking off everywhere, i’m not kidding. she told me this was the build up from using shampoos like pantene and that it was from the silicone inside of them. i recall using a friend’s shampoo once that said “silicone free” and it made my hair feel cleaner but i didn’t think anything of it. so after she explains the buildup causation to me she tells me that i should really stop using pantene so much and buy a clarifier. at first i was like great.. something expensive that i don’t need. and she said i should be clarifying my hair at least once a week, and i had NEVER clarified by hair (so it was definitely wayy over due to clarify). she told me she had one that she used and recommended in her bathroom and that we’d use it when we washed out the bleach from the highlights. we used it and oh my lorddd, my hair was so much better after one wash. it’s called suave daily clarify, it’s blue and works so amazing. not only does it make your hair feel lighter in weight (because you’re getting rid of all that greasy buildup), but it also lightens in color because the greasiness darkens your hair. i know this was long but i hope this helped someone:)

Rebekah Bryant: Imagine thinking it's okay to tell a trained professional that you can do their job at home while they are providing a service to you.

chichi B: No one talkin about how cute n nice that cleaning lady was ...so adorable

Kassd: Omg why is she staring at the woman right in the eyes when she’s cleaning her hair. HOW is she doing that

Mischa M: I love how this lady who mostly uses dry shampoo says oh so I can totally do this at home, after the lady says she's been doing this for 30 years.

Butterball2829: omg please dont talk over someone PERIOD. especially if english isnt their first language theyre trying to construct the sentence in their head and that completely thows them off!

Maria M: It took me 58 years to find a good and honest hairstylist who told me she only washes her hair once a week because it is not good for our hair to wash it regularly. Most hairstylists want to sell their products as well as the shampoo companies, the more we frequently wash, the sooner we need to replace our shampoo and conditioners. I switched to organic shampoos just once a week, I treat my hair to a natural hair mask, I am eating foods that help my hair, since it all starts with what we eat, and now my hair looks healthier! Great video as always, thank you!

TP: When she massaged her scalp...i felt that

Sir Dinkelbaum: So no one is gonna talk about the hairstylist who is doing that job for 30 years? I thought she might be 35

Elizabeth A: I'm craving for someone to massage/play with my hair!!! I need to date someone that's into beauty treatments of all kind so they can try new things on me heheh PERIODT!!!

Martina: As someone with thick, wavy and frizzy hair that's also prone to buildup I find using a clarifying shampoo every 2 weeks and the Sephora scalp massager in the shower helps reset my hair.

akiyoshidai1231: When I was in Japan, women had the most beautiful, perfect hair. I think they spend lots of money in treatments, products and good haircuts, (plus amazing hair genetics), but I never saw one of them look neglected. I'd love to find treatments and products that worked for me too.

Janina Neven: I had a similar thing done and it did really help. For 3 months I only washed my hair 2 times/week because it stayed clean longer

Camille La Chenille: The best pro tip I got from a hairdresser was : wash your hair every three to four day, but when you do, shampoo it twice (like rince - shampoo - rince - shampoo - rince) and rince it well. And it worked oh so well.

Kaitlyn: washing your hair everyday omg my hair is screaming lol only like 2-3 times a week, it'll be super greasy the first few times you skip a day or two, but eventually your hair will get used to it and become less greasy longer. also, by removing the oils from ur scalp, it will compensate by making more oils,.

mirurg: I really hope there's specialists like this here in Norway. My head full of seborrheic dermatitis would seriously love a treatment like this

Muna: Love What The Wellness!! This segment was eye opening! I’m constantly looking at ways, mostly natural ways to keep scalp nourished and clean #keepglowing

Ginny L: You can train your hair to need less washing. I used to wash my hair every other day. A few months ago I found out I actually have wavy hair and I wanted to wash it less. At first I kept 2 days in between washes, then 3 and now I can go about four days in between washing my hair. You just have to get through the part were your hair is greasy. So I wash my hair about 1-2 times a week. I only wash it 3 times if I might have put too much styling products on my hair or I sweated a lot which creates a lot of buildup. I use a sulfate free natural shampoo which cured my dandruff problem fast and once every 2 weeks I use a (deep) cleansing shampoo with a gentle sulfate (sodium coco sulfate) and a scalp detox serum. And then I use conditioner and the occasional deep moisturizing mask. If you're used to using shampoos with strong sulfates like SLS it might feel weird using a gentler sulfate or no sulfate shampoo. But keep using it. Your hair just needs to get used to it. Our body's can adapt to a lot of things if you give them the time. Now I have wavy (2a/2b) hair with high porosity in the lengths but low porosity on my roots. I have medium/thin hair and low density hair. So keep that in mind. Products/brand I recommend and tried: -Petal fresh (mint and lavender line) sulfate free -Maui moisture (hair masks!!!! Bamboo shampoo) sulfate and silicone free -Lush shampoo bar: angel hair (gentle sulfate) creamy lather and not stripping. -Briogeo: their whole scalp line. I use the scalp serum weekly. The conditioner has light moisture but is very cooling for the scalp. The shampoo is great for some exfoliation. Also the curly styling creme and gel. I have thin and low density hair so I do really well with protein which these styling products contain. Also no hard cast.

Preston Siegler: Um, just wash less often, moisturize well, and do more protective styles(for white people, french braids, loose buns, etc for black people twists, box braids, etc) Save your coin, just do simple tips and you'll be fine

natabri: I wash my hair twice or three times a week in winter. In summer, because I don't blow dry it and I go swimming every day, I wash it with shampoo and use mask once a week or every 10 days. When summer is over, my hair looks and feels amazing! I'm a hair dresser and it took me a very long time to learn how to take care of my scalp. Great video!!! Love from Spain!!

Hey_ There_Unsolved: i literally have so much dandruff if she looked at my scalp under that microscope i'd cry

Seb V: I usually shave my head and just use steel whool and paint thinner

Chey Moe: I only wash my hair every three days and even then it’s not completely greasy when it’s time to wash. What I do before hopping into the shower is brush my hair really thoroughly to distribute the natural oils to the length of my hair so there’s natural moisturization. I’d recommend doing that for those who have bleached or damaged hair because it helps a lot from my experience. Hope this helps for anyone :)

S: the background music was a bit to loud when the lady that did the treatment talked. But great video loved it

Katie Jones: I actually only wash my hair every 3 days and when I do wash it, I only put shampoo on my scalp and only put conditioner on the length of my hair. Idk why but I feel like the natural oils your hair makes will do most of the conditioning for you‍♀️(but I still use leave in spray and moisturizing oils lol)

Heart and Soul Apothecary: Just saying, I’m a bit jelli about your job, but gosh, I’m adoring you experiencing the various healing practices out there in the world. Keep up the awesome work. Virtual hugs ( Leah )

rjorge dc: 7:55 “so now i’m perfect” guuuuurl ur far from that. she sounds so condescending and rude to the the lady who just gave her good service. kudos to her for being very patient and very nice.

Lepol Hart: Stylist done a great job on the scalp. Hair looked amazing afterwards.

Kaitlin Riedl: This treatment looks amazing!

3LightningBolt: Your hair is greasy because you wash it so much goofy, you’re stripping it of its natural oils causing it to produce more of them, hence why it’s greasy.

Emilia: Basically she gets oily hair fast because she washes her hair everyday, she takes off all her natural oil every day with the shampoo so her hair follicles "know" that she doesn't has oil to moisturize her hair and it creates more and more oil. Washing every two days it's perfect for greasy hair, I have mixed hair (greasy on the scalp, dry on the ends) And I wash my hair 2 times a week and its just perfect, it even grow up faster since I don't wash it so regularly, cause it doesn't really needs that.

peggy dvj: As someone living in a tropical country, I get surprised when people say they don’t wash their hair everyday.

Katherine Stepanski: I would love this as someone with a really oily scalp I have lots of problems like dandruff and zits on my scalp.

Naima Irfan: I would love to get this treatment.

Connie Garrett: After watching, I rinsed my hair & massaged my scalp. Thank you

Quetzali Oshun: I’m a stylist and we need this on the East Coast. I need this

DollyDomDom: It must be nice to have a head of hair that every culture/race knows how to work with. She can go to any salon she wants

Rebecca Swanson-Perez: Omg my hair gets greasy SO FAST too. Nobody ever understands that I have to wash my hair every day.

Kevin Murphy: If you take one of those natural bristle brush. The stiff like boars hair one. It helps to spread the oil so it's not as bad and your ends will be more moisturised

lisan11: I have hair loss and this is very helpful.

T: Love to the vid but background music was too loud. Found my self not being able to hear what you were saying clearly

andromedasmoons: I bet that was so relaxing

Marcelo Cardona: I have pretty greasy and oily hair and I've been able to get pretty much fully under control. I feel like a lot of people who have oily/greasy hair don't realize that is you need to condition your hair daily. If your hair is already moisturized very nicely, your scalp won't feel the need to overproduce oils. I shampoo every two days and condition my hair nightly and my hair has never been better.

Kassd: I need to try not wash my hair for like a week at a time because it gets greasy within 24 hours and I’ve left it for days and it still happens. Makes me so insecure so I just started washing it everyday

Pami Perry: Tea tree oil shampoo is good for scalp and hair also goat milk soap is good too. Makes hair and scalp healther for both gender great for kids and teenagers not just adult.

Michaela Runge: I only wash my hair once or twice a week. Ngl sometimes I can go a bit longer. I used to have really greasy hair but not so much anymore. The first couple of days while it's clean I don't put any product in it. Whenever it looks a bit flat I'll put some dry shampoo in it. I usually do this for a couple days. Then once I start noticing my hair looking a bit greasy I curl, straighten, or blow dry it. That can usually get 2 or 3 more days out of it. Just remember to put it up in a bun at night so it doesn't get stuck in weird directions while you sleep or so it doesn't get too knotted. My curls can last up to 4 days that way!

Marianne Kochanek: Very informative! Thank you.

Hilary M: How often you wash varies person by person depending on hair and skin types, just like how you do facial care. For example, I absolutely have to wash once a day if I don't want my hair to feel uncomfortably greasy because I have extremely flat hair and a naturally greasier skin/scalp. Both of my sisters' hair has a lot more volume so they can go two or three days (or more). Also if you exercise every day you should also wash your hair.

Lauren Gaumer: My mom and I have really greasy hair. I wash every other day but my hair gets so greasy even if I try to use dry shampoo. So I just deal with it not looking great some days

iris: Can't wait to be allowed to get a haircut again, with them washing my hair

MoMo MoMo27: I usually wash mine everyday because I tease my hair since its so thin and use a lot of hairspray. Can only imagine what my scalp would look like haha

Lemon Eyes: I wash my hair every night except for days I don’t don’t workout aka sweat. I am very active and a very sweaty person because of that lol and my scalp just pours sweat 5-6 days a week.

Taylor Andrew: As someone with thick waist length hair, and has to use head and shoulders itchy scalp care (any other type of shampoo make my head itch really bad.) I would love to do this to my scalp and see what comes off it....

Emma Landeis: Bro I would be SLEEP AF. That looks so relaxing.

sub rina: Please can anyone tell me how water reaches to the scalp? I mean through cuticle of the hair? Or inside the cortex layer!

kenzi: I washed my hair like 13 hours ago, and my scalp is oily again and dry. But my hair is too thick to wash everyday

Jordyn Speaks: This makes me want to go wash my head. I want one now

Gabriella Gonzales: How long before your scalp is back to how it was? Doesn’t product buildup just do that?

Jennifer Sinclair: Good info! It's too bad that this business is probably no longer there now.

AlyssasAdventures: IS THIS GOING TO HELP THE THIN HAIR

Magueriette: What’s funny is that this video came out when I was struggling with scalp issues and it’s been a week ago

sundancer: If you over wash, your dehydrated scalp will compensate by over producing oil. And that dry shampoo really clogs your pores. Focus on hydration of your scalp and body, and your hair oil production will stabilize

Joey L: I wonder if they can work with every hair type?

Jarrett Spinks: This was actually kinda relaxing

Erin: The amount of hair dye I put on my hair is unhealthy but some how my hair is the only good part of me

Isaiah H. Hynek: It must feel good to get it deep Cleaned

Butterball2829: an ombre hairstyle like the girl has also just by default makes ur scalp/roots look oilier bc it is darker

Andrea Ramirez: Music is way too loud. If this is meant to be educational as well, lower it so can hear her.

Herorioc: God my scalp started to itch so much

J: her looking the hairstylist dead in the eyes made it soo uncomfortable for me to even watch

Kev: I always wondered who buys “dry shampoo”. Now I know

Chachi: I want a deep cleaning massage and scratch omg

Hi my name is: I have dandruff so I would looove someone to scrub my scalp lmao

Atomic Moose: Next time I wash my hair I’ll scrub my scalp with sandpaper...

Rye: Your hair at the beginning was screaming for some love. Definitely a 360° change.

Deanna Schroeder: You can buy that microscope on amazon for $20 and omg its amazing.. and disgusting lol my scalp was actually pretty healthy minus some irritated spots I had scratched that were red. My dogs skin on the other hand YUCK!! I thought he was clean! Instantly gave him like a 30 minute long bath. He is better now :) totally worth buying though if anyone is considering it. Its just a lot of fun to play with in general

Bigedsleftarmpithair: I have a dry flaky scalp don’t know how to get rid of it and my hair is like 2a 2b waves so it’s wavy but I do get e few curls it’s also like extremely frizzy. I use a conditioning mask to prevent as much dryness but sometimes my hair is flaky and oily not dry. And I switch shampoos and conditioners often cus my hair is always changing what do I do

Judy, Richly blessed and highly favored!: I'm 62 yrs old, and for the first time in my life I have what I "think" is dandruff. I am using a tea tree type shampoo. Do you have a better suggestion? It gets better, but doesn't actually go away. But...if I don't shampoo every other day, it gets worse. Help!!

Ella Challas: So, this would feel amazing!!! Is it necessary? No. It's luxurious!

TIA1234: When she stopped and said “fascinating” I almost passed of embarrassment

Austin: Did I miss how much it cost, or did she not tell us the price?

ForeverSerious1: I wish I could find in Portugal a place like that. Hair and scalp specialist. Nice video.

Maggie DeLeon: I would have subscribed but I couldn't get past her rude, annoying and obnoxious behavior.

Liura Baum: I loved it

Mina Row: I wash my hair like once a week... and I only shower like 3 times a week. Do people shower every day for real? That dries out your skin so much!

Carolina Santos: just imagine how my scalp would look with very strong and dense curly hair + eczema LMAOOO

Sukhi Grewal: I would like to see more representation...I'm east Indian and would like to see an east Indian woman doing these videos

Devi _: You know that when the person doing the scalp cleanse is from Japan that your scalp is gonna be squeaky clean.

Michelle G: I think treatments like these make people self conscious. Lol of course you're going to be disgusted if you zoom into the human body . I think simply going to salon and getting a wash helps . Every time I leave the salon , my scalp feels new because they take their time and exfoliate areas I might have missed .

Gina Marie: Lol I’m so glad I don’t use dry shampoo at all

Jelly Bean: If your hair keeps getting greasy I suggest taking cold showers

Madison Thomas: I've got thick Italian oily hair, so have to wash my hair once a week or every 3 days. If I wash my hair everyday its a frizzy mess!!

umi kara: i couldn never imagine getting greasy hair! mine is either normal or dry...
