Hey guys welcome to google now i am gary i'm samantha and in this video we'll be doing a diy protein treatment and i will be putting it on my hair, so stay tuned for this. Video also give this video a thumbs up subscribe like and share to gary's new channel new growth, natural up where all the behind the scenes of your favorite natural hair salon, new girl, naturals, of course, and all your diy tips and treatment will be posted and leave A comment: yeah talk to gary park, extreme damage here, intense protein treatment, so samantha, yes, gary. How do you know that your needs are protein treatment? Oh, that is simple. Here'S a coconut! Oh! Thank you right! So if your hair, like lose its elasticity, i mean like it doesn't bounce back us or what you see if it's wetting, you know you stretch it and you let it go if your hair is color treated mean that you put color on your hair. If your hair is limp, if it's breaking or if it's shedding a whole lot, you know it's time for protein treatment. Also, if you're here is high porosity those are time. Those are signs that tell you that your hair needs a protein treatment, so any diy tip you want to share with us sure i'm about to get one done myself. Oh okay, we're not using that, but that's what the coconut is for. You yeah, so you're going to just juice the coconut and give me the juice out of it and i'll tell you the other ingredients that you need all right. Juicy okay, yeah blend it in a blender, take it out of the shell and cut it and put it in the blender with some water and separate the milk from the trash. Oh okay blend it yeah, okay right! So when protein treatment is really important, because if you're not your hair is made up of protein right, a protein called keratin right. Just like your body, will your hair lose protein every day and some persons like especially if you have like high porosity hair, they need a protein to act as a layer over the cuticle of the hair to help to seal, moisture and understand the strand so that The hair doesn't break in my case. I have you, know medium to low porosity hair, but i still need protein treatment at least once or twice per month, and i prefer to diy, because i don't want to overload my low porosity hair with too much protein. You get me yes, ma'am, you sure you get me. Yes, all right go make the treatment from another, be right back protein treatment. So remember gary use a teaspoon to do the measurements so put two teaspoon of honey in your mixing bowl. It doesn't matter which, whatever brown onion you're using this is the one i generally use at the salon so use this one that is available and then you're gon na grab that black jamaican, castor oil and put one teaspoon in it. I love this black jamaican, castor oil. It'S just so awesome, really potent stuff, yeah awesome then grab the coconut milk. You want to put three teaspoon of that in it. The amount of mixture that you make is dependent on the amount of hair the client has. So if you have more here, you just go ahead and make more put some grapeseed oil. If you don't have grapeseed oil, you could use olive oil, coconut oil, argan oil, any oil that your hair likes in this place and then three spoon of hair mayonnaise. Usually i use a greek yogurt, but i'm out of that, so i picked up the hair mayonnaise that i had on my shelf and we're using it for the first time, but it's just as great as the greek yogurt, but the greek yogurt just made the mixture. All organic, you all know that right all natural and organic yeah, that's smooth enough now come on and wash my hair and put it on it. Now all right um, i like to wash my hair in braids, so i don't have to detangle it because my scalp is really sensitive. So whenever i wash my hair in braids, i normally do a deep conditioner and today is just a day when we need to do a protein treatment. I haven't done a protein treatment in the last month or so so my hair needs it. Now. I recently washed my hair, so i just need to shampoo it once this time here we go okay, my so you're gon na get rid of most of the water. So it's not dripping. That'S like on a protein treatment. Yes, i missed the spot. I just want to get rid of the excess water out of it, not necessarily towel dry. That'S enough, then you're going to apply our protein treatment. First put it on my scalp and then situate my ends and everywhere else with it i use my hand or a brush use a brush for the skull, so you can distribute it evenly and then you can use your hand and just dab everything else. Oh, that's cool and faster too. My neck gets tired right now and i don't really want to sit up do um. So honestly, hey it's very relaxing. I could do this, i'm just so happy that i don't have to detangle no hair afterwards, but for those that are you that will be doing this protein treatment with your hair. Oh that's, fine! That'S how it it's normally done, because i have no intention to take these braids out for a good while so i wash my hair with them in and i always do a deep conditioner afterwards. So that's why i'm doing it with the braids in all of it. In my hair, please, no, it's nothing! None of the good stuff put every single drop of it in my hair, every bit of it. So what you're going to do is give me a little scott, massage awesome see. You know this is really good. Usually, protein treatment tend to make your hair hard bananas. Why? I love my diy protein treatment, you're still getting the benefits of a protein treatment, but without a lot of the you know, i want a little right side effects so usually, when you guys, usually when you do a protein treatment, you have to follow up with the Moisture treatment because protein treatment tend to make your hair hard, because protein makes yeah makes it hard, but with this it makes your hair really soft. Nevertheless, once i'm done and i'm going to wash it out, i'll, follow up with a regular conditioner with a deep moisture conditioner, and that should be enough. But just in case you use like store-bought protein treatments, which i'm going to show you a few while i'm under the dryer waiting, you will need to follow up with the moisture treatment or if they have like a two step like they have step. One lift up that product and step two with that product. Oh so samantha! If you have all these protein treatments, why do you need to do diy? Okay? So it's simple. I have different protein treatments for different reasons. You know i run a natural hair salon right. Yes ma'am: this is bamboo protein treatment. If you have like a low porosity hair like myself and you're not into there was like you, don't have the time to do diys. This would be great for that. Okay, man, yeah high porosity can use it as well, but it doesn't it's really good for low porosity here. If you have high porosity and ready damage here, i recommend that you do aphro g multi treatment. This is a store-bought protein treatment as well like you can see, and this is a two-step protein treatment. I steeple right. This is the one that you are reading. This is what extremely damaged here repair like you can see intense protein treatment. So if the hair is really really damaged my clients, i have really damaged hair i'd use this one. This is the high protein pack. This is the same brand, but it's a little bit different. This one is a keratin protein. Usually i use this if you like, if you're gon na, do like blow treatment like silk prices and stuff like that, okay, which i don't really do often, but if i like, if a person uses a lot of heat the hair, i usually pull out this protein Treatment - and this is cholesterol, but it also has protein in it. Cholesterol is basically protein in it. It normally mis mix this with other treatments to get a protein moisture balance treatment yeah. So i use it on clients that don't really need too much protein, but they still need some amount of protein, so i yeah and all the others that you see there. Oh that's, basically what the use of it because remember different person's texture, porosity, hair type. You know whether they have heat damage or color treated here or chemically damaged here they require different types of protein. Thank you. You have a word of knowledge, yeah. Okay, all right! Let me put these back ma'am, don't worry, you're searching for myself. Yes, don't break it! Okay, all right, let me wash your hair right now. Man yeah all right, so this is after 15 minutes of sitting under that dryer. Alternatively, you guys can put on your plastic cap. Do your holsters for like 30 to 45 minutes or put on like a microwave or a cup like 15 minutes, just the same no cold water. You should be using full water, but i don't want it too cold. Please! That'S gon na shock the life out of me. You just moisturize my hair, okay. What is this? That'S my shea butter recipe. Oh it's the one that you made. Oh the same, one, yeah, okay, every time you wash your hair, you have protein treatment. No, i have low porosity hair, so i want to do protein treatment once per month. I don't need it that often, but if i had a high porosity hair like every time i wash it like, if i wash it every week, i have to do protein treatment or at least twice a month. Okay, no rub it off in your hand and then rub it on my hair, yeah. Okay, that's basically how it goes take down me. I'M still! Learning yeah! That'S! Okay! Thanks very much for helping me out you're most welcome! Madam! Don'T worry about the regular residue. It'S all disappear, as my hair gets saturated, okay focus on the ends. Please don't roll it like that. You'Re gon na lock my hair in in seconds yeah, don't roll it like that. Yeah come on hurry up. We have to go home as late. Now. I'M tired and stephen is sleepy right, stephen you're sleeping right, yeah yeah, see when you're sleeping sleepy forever. I think you missed this one and this one right on the side. Oh my god, that's the observation! Oh my gosh! It broke anyway we're cleaning up. That'S a glass of cooler. I almost told you to take it up all right, that's it! Thank you time to go home. I'M tired!

hiamilde braganca: Glad too see someone using the same technique as me. I just dont apply it on my scalp.i only do protein treatments while wearing braids- but i squeeze the braids to ensure the product penetrates inside the braids. It is safer to do protein treatments while wearing braids as u cancel the manipulation and reduce breakage chances which is very likely when 4c kinky hair gets a protein treatment ( whether high or low porosity hair).
