Schwarzkopf Got2B Metallic Blue Mercury Hair Dye Review!! Bonus: Running Out Of Dye Quick Fix!!

I picked up this Schwarzkopf got2b Metallic Blue Mercury hair dye, and I made the mistake of getting only one box for my super long hair! No problem...as I had some leftover color from my last dye job to cover the ends of my hair. The results are STUNNING!! My favorite blue hair color combo yet. Come along and see if you agree that this blue hair dye variation is a total win. :)

Today, I'm going to be doing a hair review on a new Schwarzkopf color that I've never seen before. It'S called got to be it's a metallic color and the specific shade is blue mercury. It of course, comes with directions: the color cream and applicator bottle, and the conditioning treatment plus the gloves. The box states that I can expect this to be a permanent color. If you're going to be bleaching your hair, you need to wait at least 14 days before adding this color for my bleaching treatment. I chose to go with Revlon. I like this brand because I'm familiar with it also it's super inexpensive. I can grab it at Walmart at 3 in the morning, so definitely a plus. For me, it says in the instruction leaflet that any color that has stained your skin can easily be removed with skin toner. My only concern at this point is that I have only purchased one box. Generally speaking, I would recommend having two boxes on hand of a new product, in particular the instructions say to wear a towel. However, I'm just wearing an old grungy t-shirt in some ripped jeans. I'M outside in one of our outdoor classroom areas and our bamboo forest, so not that big a deal in terms of cleanup, I'm gon na rinse out my hair with the garden hose. Oh, this bottle is really cool. It actually has a screw off tip. I love it. That'S awesome. The instructions say to apply this mixture to dry unwashed hair. Definitely, my hair is dry and super unwashed. It'S kind of a mess right now. I'M gon na brush it out just a little bit before I get started. It says in the instructions that you should really only apply this color to the ends, especially if they're, dry and they've been treated with colors in the past. You want to wait to the last 5 minutes and I'm gon na do that. I find that some products, just from the smell of the product. I can tell that it's not good for my hair hair dyes. That claim to be a more of a conditioning. Colorant tend to do better on my hair and I feel like they don't damage it. Quite as much I'm taking all 4 kids to a birthday party in two hours - and I have to give two of my little kids a bath before we go so I love that this will only take 30 minutes to develop yeah. I can actually like sometimes your eyes will burn when you're using a color, that's kind of harsh and definitely that's happening. So I for sure I'm not gon na be leaving this on for longer than 30 minutes, because I'm just concerned about how much it's damaging my hair yeah. I definitely should have gotten 2 boxes of this. The last color that I used on my hair was actually a color wreath, indigo shade it started out bright purple, but it faded to this nice blue. It'S a huge win. If the color starts out looking awesome and then fades looking awesome, I think I still have some of that color YZ indigo left. So if this color doesn't cover all of my hair, I will go back and touch up the ends with that other color. It has been 20 minutes now, so I'm gon na go ahead and apply the rest of this product to the ends of my hair. I think I've kind of just gotten used to the smell. It'S no longer bothering me, I'm certainly no professional when it comes to these kind of at-home hair treatments, but I've done them in not that I kind of feel comfortable with my own process, I'm out of the color now, and this might just be exactly the right Amount for my hair, we'll see when it's rinsed out it says in the instruction leaflet that you should apply warm water work, your hair into a lather and then rinse it until the water runs clean. I'M gon na be using a garden hose with cold water. I don't think that's bad. I just think they probably wouldn't put in a pamphlet, warm or cold water, because most people are not looking for that cold water option. Once my hair has been rinsed out and towel dried I'll apply this after color treatment. I'M supposed to leave this in for two minutes and then rinse it out in my hair should feel really smooth soft and moisturize. It says in the pamphlet Lizzy it's only partially dried now, but I'm super happy with this color. Besides, does my hair look really good? Okay, you guys ready to go everybody buckled up. Okay off, we go so the kids and I had an amazing time at the birthday party you been through today. I didn't get back until super late, but I will tell you that, as my hair dried, I noticed that the ends really really really did not absorb very much of the color. I bought two of the color Easter containers. The last time I colored my hair. I didn't come anywhere close to using all of the second tubes, so I saved it. I'M not sure if that's really a great idea, but it hasn't hurt for me in the past, so I think it's gon na go well now. The kids are asleep. It'S super late. I'M gon na wrap a towel around my shoulders and I'm going to apply what I have left of my color Easter color to the ends of my hair. Okay. So can you guys see this? Oh my gosh. This is amazing. Definitely it's more blue! At the top and then at the ends of my hair, it's more purple, that's the color Easter coming through. So this is what it looks like if you have long hair - and you know that you're going to need probably two containers of hair dye or two packages. If you're going to go with two products, these two products look fantastic together. The only unknown here is that, because I've never uses got to be product, I don't really know how it's gon na fade. I noticed this color is too indigo actually fades to a nice. Like pale blue, almost like an aqua - and I really love that if this goes really well - and this got to be fades nicely done - this is gon na, be the combo that I go with going forward. emily may: Thanks so much for posting this, only other videos I’ve seen using this colour have been people who haven’t bleached their hair first! You look amazing!

Onewith TheUnknown: The color combo is beautiful! This video was so helpful, thank you!Doing my 16 yr old daughter's hair with the Blue Mercury but attempting highlights first bcuz it's the first time I'm coloring her hair. She's mixed black/white and nervous about having to bleach then color. I knw if I screw it up she'll cry for a month till it grows out! Lol! Figure wld start small & if all goes well with highlights, wld consider full head color change. Didn't read box abt waiting 14 days after bleaching to color! What?!? Omg! She's going to look like a zebra, good thing she's doing virtual school this year. Lol! Thanks again for all the great info, heading out to buy a 2nd box (daughters hair is very long) and that other color u used.

babypunkbat: I used this same dye last weekend. this is the first time I've washed my hair since dying it and the color has immediately gone from being blue to almost completely washing out to a greenish grey-blonde

Jae Lee: I've recently discovered your channel and I'm loving your energy and all the hair experiments you do!

writerfrenzy: I used this today to touch up professionally done blue. It had faded to turquoise. I didn't use it on my roots because I actually love the brown against the blue. It worked perfectly, though as you said it was very harsh. I used the supplied conditioner and even reconditioned with my own conditioner, before I was satisfied. I did have to use every bit of 2 containers. Now after reading the comments I'm concerned about fading. Guess we'll see. You look fabulous! It turned out great! Thank you for sharing this video.

Grace Williams: I LOVE your channel!!! I always watch before I buy a dye to see your results....but this time I didn't. and WOW I can not wait to do mine this color! I am doing the underneath and leaving the top blonde. I can't wait.

canitbechristine: I have done my own colour all my life and have never had any fails. I've even used other Got2b Metallics before and they turned out great. This shade though...FAIL. Followed all the instructions and when I was done I was shocked to see that NONE of the colour was there. My hair looked exactly the same even at the very roots. I have very short hair so there was tons of dye on every part of my hair.

Ashley Faria: So glad I found your video, I almost did this right after bleaching ‍♀️ also love your style! Thanks for sharing

Southern Rita: Cool. Im in the process of dying mine now using got2b dye for the first time. Cant wait to see how it works over my blonde. I thought i would of needed more dye cause my hair thick. I had Just enough. Im gonna maybe share it on my channel. Thanks for sharing.

A R: 14 days after bleaching? I'm glad I stumbled upon your video because I was going to bleach and do it straight away!

Bonnie: So gorgeous!! And your hair is so so pretty!! Thanks for sharing:))

Suzy: Haha damnit, I have bleach in my hair right now stripping out the black and was about to use the Amethyst Chrome metallic. WELP, I guess manic panic hot pink it is.

Lisa Lisa Bo Bisa: Hi, hairstylist here... great video, but as a suggestion: *_instructions are provided for a reason_* the brand/company has formulated the product with an intended result in mind. Not following or completing the full process as listed... desired results will not be achieved. the smell is the activator...and has no relation to how safe/gentle/healthy it is on your hair. It simply means you're using a semi permanent colour. how the activator/peroxide functions (or purpose) when mixed with colour formula is opening hair cuticle, allow new colour molecules to penetrate hair shaft. funky colours are temporary-- there isn't any oxidizing agents present, colour merely sits or stains the hair.

Jenn C: Love how you did the two colors!

Genesis Funes: I dyed my hair this blue mercury and only my roots came out blue with a few strands in the back the rest was legit grey not like murky ashy blue grey like full on silvery *grey* . It didnt look like I put on blue and it came out wrong it looks like I dyed my damn hair grey

jairi anaya: I died my hair this color, only two strips in the front, keep in mind my hair is chocolate brown virgin hair, and it came out more blackish then blue, there was some hint of dark blue but for the most part looks black. Does anyone know how you can remove this? I don’t really want my hair looking like this anymore. It’s been only a few weeks. Please and thank you!

Nicole Lafferty: It turned out awesome and look great on you! Unrelated, I love the Marvel shirt.

Emily Webber: Stunning! How is it looking now after fade?

Ryn: I just dyed my hair this color as my first time ever dying my hair.

jolene guerrero: Can we bleach and then use the colorista right after? Is it permanent? Looking to get my brown hair light enough for purple
