Namaskar, How are you Here? I am doing good. Everybody were happy with my last video and has asked me to do more like that.. Some people complain that the videos get over fast., But don't you think smaller videos are better. That day? When I put a 45mts video many said it was too long., So I shall come often with small videos. Today we are going to do a henna mix.. Many people might have thought that I will speak on beauty tips too, But no. I dont think we will have about that in our curry. World. Todays video itself is just on public demand. I had shown about my henna mix on a behind the scene of a video. Thats when many requested me to show this video once.. So just because of that, I am going to show you how to mix it., I wont be showing how to apply.. It will be just the mixing procedure.. Then, tomorrow, Nov 19th, I will be coming: live at 9pm UAE timing., All those who can come, please do. Many people would be asking me questions or saying hi to Jan and so.. I wont be able to read out all.. So if you are planning to ask me any questions, you may write those questions here below this recipe.. I shall answer to them with your names tomorrow. Now regarding the challenge., I had asked you to send me just 30 recipes.. Under our christmas playlist, there are nearly 75 recipes.. Some said that dont eat beef, fish or bake a cake. Theres no need for that.. You dont have to make beef. Out of the 75. Just take any 30, which is convinient for you. You just have to send it to me by Dec 12th., Take photos of them and make a video of it and send it to me through facebook.. My Aunt has already done 30 dishes in the span of 4 days. Hats of to you Aunty Those who can do try it out. You dont have to send your family moments in a hurry. Theres, no time limit for that.. Now christmas is nearing or you may have any function at your place., You may click and make a video of any happy day of yours. Now lets move to our henna mix recipe. Here I use Nupur Henna mix, which is made by the Godrej company., Its written. Its 100 % natural without any chemicals in it. I use this because they say its chemical free.. You can use any 100 % natural brand They have mentioned. They have Amla Chikka Brahmi in it., But I always add little Amla powder of mine to it.. So lets see how to make it now 1st we have to make a strong Black tea with coffee powder mixed in it.. I make it together in a pan. I'Ve taken 2 glasses of water.I never noticed the amount of water before.. I am using 2 glasses of water for this. Once it boils well, we shall add the tea powder into it., See how my sprouted green gram looks. Many have asked me how I do it.. I shall show a video on this one day. If anybody would like to know., I am adding 2tbsp of tea powder to this.Keep. The flame in medium. You can use 3-4 tea bags. Also, It should boil and become very strong.. I am adding 1tbsp coffee powder also to this.. It can be of any brand. Mix it well and let to boil. Once it has boiled well sieve it and let it to cool well Keep to cool aside.. We shall use it only when it has cooled down. Never mix the henna powder when this is hot. By the time our mix cools down, we shall grind our dry amla to fine powder.. You can even use store, bought amla powder.. The henna mix already has amla powder in it., But I always add a bit of mine.. This is optional.. You may avoid it. If you dont want., I have take 10 Gooseberies and cut it to small pieces., Dried them for 3-4days.. Now we shall powder them.. When you get Gooseberries in large quantities, you can dry and store them and use it. When needed.. Now I have powdered it well. You dont have to dry the seed.. Only its flesh will do. Grind them slowly, because the jar might get heated soon. Gooseberries are strong, so grinding them will be risky.. It would affect the blade of the jar. So be careful.. Now we shall pour our mix to a bowl.. I am adding 1tbsp curd and 1tbsp lemon juice to this. Its a good conditioner and good for dandruff too. Now I am adding the Gooseberry powder to this.. This is oiptional.. This powder strengthens our hair., So I always prefer adding it. It cools the hair and scalp too. Its good to use this during our PMS time.. It will be good for us and our family too. Mix this well., The lemon tea, coffee, amla powder and curd all have to be mixed. Well.. The mix powder already has shikka amla, hibiscus and bhrahmi in it.. We dont know how far its true We belive in it and buy and use it.. Some people bring dried henna from their native place, but i dont know how much colour we will get from that.. This is what I use and would recommend to others.. I am not sure if its chemical free too., Since it is mentioned, I believe so I am just showing you what I am using. That too, just because many of our viewers have asked for it. I cannot show things I dont know., Especially something we use on our hair.. That is why I dont say anything about beauty tips too. Everybodys body are different form each other and even their skin.. You might have an allergy on what I am used to or the other way., For example. I am allergic to turmeric and sandal.. I get rashes when I use them, But others might find it convinient. So dont follow the ads seen on tv. 1st. Try them slightly on your hand or behind your ears. Dont, listen to what everybody says. It will be different for all. Jan's mother was a lecturer in SN college for Maths.. One of her student, who was fair, began to have pimples. This comes during teenage.. She used sandal powder on her face and it didnt suit her skin. She ended up with lots of problems that she couldnt even get out of the house for a while., So dont follow anyones beauty tips.. Everyone may not be able to use the samething same way., Think of your skin and be careful Dont use any chemical based things.. I am telling you all this from the deep of heart.. Please dont feel bad. Now our mix is ready.. We shall add the henna mix to this.. Since I have long hair, I will add the whole pack to this mix. I apply henna twice a month because it greys off fast. Its hereditary from my fathers side.. Our side all starts to have grey hair from 40years or so Even Jan's hair has started to grey, but he doesnt use it.. I use a full pack in the 1st week and half a pack in the 3rd week. Now I am going to use the whole pack of 200g.. If you have short hair, you can use lesser quantity.. You will understand the amount to be used once you start to use. Many of you would be using it and will be knowing about it., Add little by little and mix well.. This is not only for grey hair.. Those who have sinus or cold may avoid gooseberry powder.. As I had mentioned, Amla powder is cooling agent., The next day after using the henna mix. You may feel your hair is dry., So I apply little coconut oil on my hair before applying henna.. This softens the hair. I dont apply oil on my scalp because it will end up in having cold.. I always use `` rasnadhi powder'', before applying anything on my head., Its just. We are used to using it to stay away from getting cold.. You just have to stay for 1 or 2 hrs after applying henna., Some say 4hrs, but I dont think that much is needed.. 1 hour is more than enough, especially if you are doing it just to strengthen your hair and dont have grey hair.. If you have chances of having cold use, `` rasnadhi powder, as I said. Now, we have understood the amount of water we took is less because we have used only half the henna mix.. So I shall add: 1 more glass of water to this to make the mix with the rest of the pack.. We had used 2 glasses for 2tbsp tea dust and 1tbsp coffee powder.. Usually I dont measure the amount of water.. I just boil some and pour as needed later on. Its for you that I have noted all this down now., So 3 glasses of water can be boiled in the beginning to make the tea coffee mix.. Now I shall add the rest of the mix.. As I said, it depends on the length and thickness of your hair. You can decide how much mix you want. It shouldnt be too thick or loose.. If its too loose it will keep on dripping.. In the morning I will add an egg white to this.. I don't use egg yolk, Some use the whole egg, but I dont like the smell of the yolk, so I avoid it. Egg white is a good conditioner for our hair.. If you want, you may add the yolk too. Now this is the correct consistency.. It will thicken a bit more as it stays.. When we add egg white in the morning the mix will be correct for use At home. People say it should be kept in an iron pot., Since I dont have, I just add, a screw or nail to this and keep it aside.. It increases the colour of the henna. I am using an iron nail.. You may test it by putting it on a magnet.. I am putting a slide also to it. Dont forget to remove it in the morning before use.. Otherwise, it will prick or hurt us while using it in the morning., Now lets tightly close this and keep it aside.. If you want, you can use a glove to mix, but I use my hand only.. I use a glove to apply it on my hair.. Now we shall close it tightly and keep aside.. You can even cling, wrap it and keep it for nearly 12 hours.. Only then it reaches the correct consistency and colour.. I always make it at night before going to bed and use it after I finish, my household work in the morning.I, keep it just for an hour because I catch cold fast.. Now our henna is ready in the morning after a 12 hours of setting aside.. Now I shall add the egg white to this. This is the correct consistency. Now., If you feel its too tight, you may add little water., But I feel this is correct. Once everything is mixed: well, it will be ready to use.. If you dont want the egg white, you may skip this step.. This is the correct consistency. Now., Since we have added a nail and slide, we shall remove it now. For those who used an iron pot. The mix is ready to use.. Now I have removed them from this and is ready to use.. Since I dont have anyone to help, I apply it myself, You get to buy disposable gloves., You get boxes of 50 or 100.. I always buy the medium sized ones.. They stay tight in my hands.. You get powdered one and powderless ones.. I am not convinient with the powdered one, so I buy the powderless ones.. I apply some powder just before wearing the gloves.. This helps us wear the gloves. Soon. Else the gloves might tear up. I dont like the powdered ones.. I apply powder myself and wear the powderless gloves.. We have to wear gloves in both our hands.. It makes us feel comfortable when they stay tight in our hands., The loose ones arent good for this use.. I always apply henna. Only after putting a bit of rasnathi powder on my head. And since it makes the hair feel dry later on, I apply little oil on my hair first.. I apply the henna and stay only for an hour. Since it affects our health. I dont keep it for long. For those who have gray hair. They can do this twice a month. Other people can use them just once a month. I have taken the whole 200g for my long hair.. You may take measurement according to your hair.. This is our mix.. Now I shall apply later have a bath, and after that I shall show you how it looks., I wont, be showing you how to apply it. On the hair., Like how I showed last time you can cover with cling film so that it doesnt drip out., Some people use shower caps. You may use which ever is convinient for you.. If you dont use anything, it will surely drip wherever you sit. Later. It will be a mess in the house, So its always good to keep it wrapped. In 1hour. It will be ready to wash off. Before applying. You can use a bit of vaselin at the end of our skin where the hair ends so that the colour doesnt come on to our skin.. You can spread vaseline behind the ears or neck or forehead. To wash use little mild, shampoo and wash the henna away. I cant have the smell more on my head.. It gives me a headache., I add 2tbsp lime juice in a bathing mug and fill it with water. After diluting it. I immerse my hair into that mug for about 2 minutes.. Then I pour that water over my head and wash it away. Its like how we have a bath in a pond by dipping our hair into the water., Then take a bath, the normal way.. This helps to give a shine to the hair.. If you dont want, you may avoid it., I find it useful, so I do it. Now thats all to do. Hope all have understood.. If you have any doubts you may ask., I can tell you what I know.. This is not a traditional recipe.. I just got this from a beautician once I met her. Many people do it in many ways.. I will sure receive many comments on this recipe saying its not like this or the wrong way.. But this is how I do it. So dont forget to try this out.. Let me know how you felt about it., So until we meet with my next recipe. Thank you Hope you can see the colour change in my hair.. You can imagine how much gray hair I have seeing the colour change. Pople, who have black hair, wont, feel this much differece.. When you stand in the sunlight, you can see the difference So try it out. Its after you use it. You will see the difference.. so till then tataaa ...

HappinessKey: Hi Veena, Few suggestions: - Lemon is Citric acid and it can gray out hair. So always wash off any lemon applications or avoid it. - While adding Egg in Henna, please try to use Yolk. Yolk is the conditioning part, egg white is an drying agent. You know there are many face packs which is with egg white and generally used to tighten face. I know that everyone can't stand Yolk smell, but if you could add few drops of aroma oil(according to hair type), it can help. Great going..Keep flying high dear!
