What is poppin youtube? Welcome back to my channel, I should go to go fast panics and today I'm going to be sharing with you guys how I cut my braiding hair for small feet and brave, and I'm super excited to bring this video to you guys, because I know a lot Of you guys have been asking me how I put my brain here, and I don't put it in most of my videos just to save time like nothing on my channel is really a secret, so I'm super excited to be able to share that with you guys Today, I'm also going to be giving you guys a couple of tips of how you can speed up your services. So if you are interested in knowing how you can get faster, keep watching this video as well, so I'm sorry Appa braiding hair. That is already pre feathered. I feathered in myself so I'll be under like to know how I do this to the braiding hair. You guys can go ahead and click the link in the description section. I made a video on my channel a while back, but it wasn't so long ago, so I know people will probably haven't seen it just because it's so far down on my channel, but it's really helpful. So I make sure you guys go ahead and click that and then you guys can be turned back to this video. So if you guys watch my feet and race to toriel and I beat the out of my mannequin head, I used to prep my braiding hair on a thread rack and if you don't know how to thread, wrap this I'll go ahead and insert a picture. So you guys know what I'm talking about and a lot of writers use thread of X and when I first saw it I was like. Oh my god. This is genius like I'm definitely the purchases and I went on Amazon, I bought it. I used it for like two weeks and I absolutely hated it so I threw it out and the reason why is because you can only press a certain amount of braiding hair on a thread rack and my pet peeve is literally when I have to stop on My clients, hair to prep hair like it slows it down, and I just I'd rather have everything before my client comes, and so I had to like get rid of that thing. So I do not use that anymore and yeah. I mean, I guess it's just preference, but I noticed that when I stopped using it, I my services actually went a lot faster, just because I didn't have to stop to prep so with that food. Would that be that I don't use a bed rack. I actually use this container right here and let me move the camera, so you guys can see it. So I actually use the storage container here for when I'm prepping braiding hair, and I like, since I started going - I absolutely love it and the reason why is because I also contain in this container, unlike my go-to hair products, from when I'm ready careful in this Top drawer, I have like all of my edge controls that are you um, any type of like moisturizing products. What I use - and it's super easy to just grab it when I need it. Obviously I have a bunch of other care products like stored away under cabinets and stuff, but this is like the stuff that I absolutely need to go to, especially when I'm doing like heating braces or anything and the next drawer, underneath that I can't quite spare braiding Hair, so if I ever like right, somebody's hair and there's like a little bit of hair left over from the pack, then I'll. Keep that in there and then in the very very bottom section is where I keep like all of my styling tools so like flat iron curling iron from ourselves. All that good stuff is in the bottom drawer section. So, literally, like everything that I need to go to, what I'm doing here is super convenient whenever I'm prepping braiding hair, I always turn the container around and I'm going to be prepping the hair. This way, on top of the container that way about everything, so pull anything out like and always come to the other side and the braiding hair is not affecting me opening closing the drawers, because, obviously the hair is going to be kind of hanging over a little Bit and it will get in the way if the drawers were on this side. I include all braiding hair in my pricing and the reason why? Because that is like for multiple reasons, number one: when you tell the money to get six or eight packs of hair, they run out and get the cheapest hair that they can get. It feels like plastic or sometimes the packs are really thin. So it's not enough and also, I obviously have like certain braiding hair that I like to braid with, so I obviously want to use my favorite red hair. I know what I can use to get this out to look the best of the can and although I absolutely do to this town, so it's cheaper if I purchase my hair for my clients anyway. Lastly, and the biggest reason is because I like to prep the hair before they come, so I leave enough time in between each client to make sure that I'm able to prep all the writing hair that I'm going to be using for each client. Sometimes I can only feather than hair and I'm not able to like prep it out out, but for the most part I try to like cut out all of the grading here that I'm going to be using, for whatever client is getting ready to show it. And so with that being said, if I'm doing a feed embrace style, that's gon na require food packs of hair. I'M gon na prep out three Texan hair on top of this container and all the hair that I need is ready to go guys, and I tell you that has saved me so much time on my services just having all their hair ready to go like. I can't even tell you, like it's saved me like at least an hour of time on each tile, that I do so. I would really highly recommend that, and that is why I did not like to use the thread wrap because, like I said, I can only have a certain amount of braiding hair and then I would have to like put hair on the back again and put hair On back again in it just really slows you down, like you, don't realize how much time, even if you're, just feathering before your appointment, like even that, will save you a lot of time and help you to stop where it's up and a lot of my videos. I know you guys can't be sorry and a lot of my videos. You guys ask if I pull the same size pieces and, yes, I do so when I'm prepping my grandparents because whole little culture, you may not be able to actually I'll leave you here. Hopefully yes busy for my small feat in braids, I'm just taking off a small piece and I'll show you guys how big it is. It'S about this size here, okay and I'm going to try to pull out that same size now, obviously like I'm, not weighing the hair out, I'm kind of just eyeballing it and I'm trying to pull out the same size pieces that are just really small and right Now I'm just kind of laying them over the top of each other. So here you guys can see their timing is overlapping. Sometimes you do have to be careful that it's not connected. Okay, I'm just going to continue to pull these pieces and lay them over the top of each other. The hair does not get tangled when you do this, because it's already feathered it's already calmed out. It does not get tangled at all, and I mean I may also depend on what type of hair to use if you're using cheap hair. Maybe it will get tangled, I don't know, but I'm going to go ahead and pull all the same size piece until I am done with the entire pack of hair okay. So here you guys can see that I just prepped all of the bread in here and unless you say that I kept three packs of braiding hair, there will be three packs of bread and hair on here. What I'm actually breaking. I also like to keep my products on the tray, so I can move this hair over to the side. I have my Cheyenne jam there. I have my edge control there and, let's just say, I obviously don't use this comb, but I'll have my pony boom. Okay, the great thing about using a container like this - and this is also another thing that I didn't like about the thread rack - is that it wasn't mobile. Okay, this moves. So as I'm going my clients hair and I can move this around the station, I can move it around the station and for me this size with a perfect height. So I'm 5'4, as you guys, can see it comes up to my kneecaps, but I'm braiding. I usually supply anyway, it's on like this and it's perfect for me to grab the hair and feed it in. I like to keep all my pieces, the same size and sorry I'm trying to screw back something cut off. I try to keep all my feet feet in pieces on the same size and the reason why is because for small feet in braids, if it is too big, I can always take a piece, so I'm just pulled up a random piece like, for example, when I'm Starting to feed a braid, obviously this piece would be too big to feed in as the first piece, so I can always like separated into smaller pieces like this break off small pieces and as I'm braiding, I kind of just rest it over. My client shoulder like this, so, for example, this one I would probably break up into three pieces. So I'm just pretending, like I'm a client sitting down. So, as I start my clients on feed in braids I'll just pull from her shoulder and then start pulling from the container. If that makes sense and same thing, I actually needed a piece that was bigger. I would just combine two pieces together and boom. I have a bigger piece. I truly truly feel like all your prep work should be done prior to your kind of writing. That'S how you guys make the service goals quick as possible, and one thing about me is that I always get my clients in and out, and they absolutely love that about me. They'Re, like you're so quick, but I also want to reiterate that, like being fast is just a plus so like you should never compromise the neatness or the look of a style just because you're trying to get people in and out, because I'm pretty sure people will Rather, wait an extra 30 minutes extra 45 minutes for you to actually take your time and get the stop correct versus you just try to be super fast um. I'Ve also been waiting for like a really really long time. So I also think that speed just comes with time. Repetition. Confidence like I know what I'm doing, I'm moving, I'm knowing how I'm party, I don't know how much hair I need my hair's already prepped and ready to go and it's kind of his muscle memory like I don't even have to look, and I can braid just Little things like that, but when I switched over to prepping on top of this, it did like does increase my speed time. A lot because, like I said, I don't have to prep as I go now. If the client is using multiple colors same thing, I'll grab a little bit of a breath: black I'll prep a little bit of the brown a little bit of the black a little bit of the brown and yeah. It just helps my service go through a lot quicker. I know there's a lot of people like these pre-funded here and when I first discovered proof of their hair, absolutely loved it, because I'm like oh, my god, this save time. Obviously I don't have to prep. It'S all ready to go, but sometimes like the pre feathered. Hair is really thin advanced and that's why I have another braiding hair that I like to use as well um. So I use the pre feathered hair for like certain styles, but and definitely help you guys get quicker as well using pre feather hair, like I said. Sometimes, if you get like the color or the hombre ones, they are super thin at the bottom and I hate that look like I'm like when it goes like bulky and super thin, so yeah I don't use it sometimes, but for some saws I did so a Lot of you guys asked how I get my bracelet need the same size if all the pieces are the same size and, aside from like the first about two or three pieces that I add in the beginning, all the pieces that I'm adding in are the same Exact size and I'm basically adding in hair until the break is to the desired thickness that I want and then I stop and I kind of just watch and see like okay as and getting skinnier. If it is, I need to add a piece in here. I don't really count out how many pieces that I use or anything yeah, I kind of just really eyeball it and I guess that's a lot of practice. Maybe I can kind of come up with the method for you guys. I know when I did my feet in braids on my mannequin head. I used eight pieces for the head, but I don't typically do that. I just kind of did it for like that beginner video, but if you guys want me to kind of come up with a method for the small feet embrace, let me know below, and I can try to like come up with the number for you guys and Make it work yeah and that's pretty much it for this video guys. I hope you guys got some good tips from this video. I hope you guys learned how to prep hair for this video, and I will catch you guys next time make sure you guys. Like comment subscribe and I'll, see you guys later

DOPEaxxPANA: Hey guys ! Sorry I’m talking hella I actually start separating hair around 5 min. I just wanted to make sure this video was thorough bc a lot of you ask about prepping and I tried to anticipate and answer everything I thought you guys would be curious about.

Brittney Walker: I love how you always break things down for us! I literally learned to do feed in braids from watching your videos!

Tanisha and Kev: Omg thank you so much I’ve been braiding but not for long and it’s really hard to do the proportion sizes and speed especially when you’re just starting out. I really appreciate all the information that you give. Thank you so much keep up the great work -Tanisha

IM HAIR 4 U: Love your vids!! #I use the 120 peg Thread Rack and always have hair left over. I totally agree with not having to stop and feather/separate hair. It does slow you down. #keep up the great vids!!

Lexi J: Thank you This was so helpful, I’ve been trying to figure out different ways to save time, definitely think I’ll start including hair in the pricing

n.monaetales: I must subscribe. I just realized you taught me how to do faux locs. My first attempt was beautiful all because of you!!!

Chinele Farmer: Thank you for showing us professionalism. We need this in every way.✌️

Mother of 2 Queens: I love that idea..now when it comes to larger braids do you pull the same size or does the hair get bigger

ELIZA: girl thank you so much for this. I did notless braids last night, and the hair kept getting tangled. I did NOT know that you had to prep it before! lol I was like, I know for a FACT veteran braiders don't just be sitting there detangling hair throughout the entire braiding session, because it takes too long lol

n.monaetales: This use to be my method. The difference is I used a table. It picked up my speed but I hated the idea of reaching across the table. Then, I switched to the thread rack. At first, I was iffy about the thread rack and used it for singles. Now, I love it and use it for all my braids. D.I.Y - I took wood glue, connected 4 racks (2 by 2), and mounted it on my wall. . Now, I stand in one area and just braid. Only thing moving around is my fingers and the chair my clients sit in. You could pick up more speed by having everything in reach and eliminate moving the storage bin.

Kristin Johnson: i'm watching this before i do my knotless braids. i was gonna buy a rack but i decided against iti actually have that exact storage bin so i'm about to do it exactly how you did in this!

Holistic Beauti: I just braided my own hair in 2 layers. I wanted them to be small but they ended up getting big towards the ends. It's because I kept adding bigger pieces of hair instead of small ones. Once I complete the braid to my scalp, I should of stopped adding hair. This video helped because it makes sense. ALWAYS prep small pieces of hair for feed ins. Thank you for this video!

C Love Beauty: Very educational. Learned quite a few techniques from this video. <3

Tione: Just ran across this video in 2020 but what a life safer! I've been doing my own twists and using the rack and while mine holds 60 pieces, I usually have about 80 twists. Thanks for the tip!

Charlene Bentinck: This video was really effective and on point its just what I needed. Thanks for sharing. Most people would keep their knowledge to themselves but you girl are God sent. You are what I would call a queen fixing others crown. Keep up the good #talentoverhype#trulyablessing

Sava10493: Great technique!!! Thank you for sharing. Do you prep out all the packs of hair before the client or just one pack at a time?

Destiny Will: Love professionalism. Love your techniques. Super informative. Yes!

N F: Thank you for such a detailed video! Loved it!

Mon Mac: Love this vid. Great tips, Thanks... I have been using a wooden (clothes) drying rack, instead of the thread rack. Open to try this method, though...#speedUPtheProcess

Lissav: Yeess I got a lot outta this video thanks lady. U went over everything I wanted to know. Love ur braiding skills & love the work u do. Keep it up ur makin me better. Haven't gotten to the video thing yet. Thanks Pana

QueenSP Enterprise: May God continue to bless you you sharing tips that most braiders want to charge for keep doing you boo cause they going to hate but don’t stop you helping us out

TEFA TEFÉ: This was very helpful thank you !!how much your time do you leave in between clients. And do you do the same for big braids and box braids?

Holistic Beauti: Yes. That pre feathered hair is definitely thinner towards the ends sometimes too skinny. I've been using pre feathered hair for my box braids but I think I'm going back to expression.

Lisa Briggins Tate: You are so awesome! Thank you for sharing!! I continue to learn so much from you!

shanelle walker: Im going to start doing this. It look so easy

Gellie Bean: This video is WHAT THAT IS!! So good and detailed@

Kalei Queen: I love your channel honey, thank you!!!

Codiesha Gray: YES YES YES!!! I really wish that I saw this from the moment it was published. this is everything in one.

Sonshine SoDetermined: Is there any company you can recommend on where I can purchase the braiding hair at a good price. I just recently increased my prices, which will also include the hair. Like you mentioned in your video it saves me ALOT time..

Mariesha Farmer: What brands of braiding hair do you like/recommend?

As told by Nicole: How are you able to get a discount for the braiding hair. Do you go directly through the beauty supply stores or through a wholesale realtor?

GDaEssence: Thank you!!!
