Hi guys welcome back to my channel. It'S a girl, the JJ welcome back for another video. If you're here welcome, have a seat we're going to talk about here, so I hope that you're excited today's video is going to be a week in my haircare journey. I find that a lot of us natural on YouTube. We teach you guys or show you our wash day routine, but we don't actually show you what we do throughout the week and I think that's actually really important, there's a bit of a disconnect here, because you could follow somebody's routine, let's say wash day routine on The weekend and then what do you do into your hair? After that? You know what you're doing you're lost for the week until you wash again, so I'm going to continue to make these little videos to show you guys what I do to my hair during the week, because I think it's actually really really important. This is where the haircare part comes in. This is where the maintenance comes in, because that's going to determine if your hair is going to dry up and break off or if you're going to retain your length. So without further ado, let's get into this video before we get started. As always, don't forget to give this ask our button says Ndebele, so you get notified every single time. Your girl, uploads, a new video, also follow me on Instagram, where I post all of my makeup, looks more haircare tips, pictures of my hair. So if that's not like something you're interested in then follow me over there. So our story began June 26. With this twist out, I didn't think that it was such a great style, but you guys loved it, so the style itself was short-lived, but this is what I ended up doing the next day, just fluffed it out and went about. My business, if you saw my last video, then you saw the twist out that I did it wasn't a film, but it wasn't the best style. This is what happened with it. This is two days later um. So what I did it toast out? I did it for a specific purpose, because that evening I was going to host master class with curls, so I would add my hair to look how to cute, but I was supposed to do a style during the master class, so the twist down was short-lived. That'S okay, I mean no hard feelings, she's gon na be alright and then I kind of just put my hair in a bun. It went to sleep, and this is two days later. My hair is feeling quite dry. I'M not going to lie it's not too bad, but it could definitely use some moisture. So this is what I'm going to do in the shower. You guys know I like to kind of wet my hair in the shower and then still in the moisture afterwards. So that's what we're going to do. This is my hair. Basically, my edges, y'all, I'm gon na start taking care of my edges. I think I think I probably should start doing that. Look how much hair I have now. It'S got our crazies and it okay. Well, let's go shower all right, so this is me outside of the shower and I look I don't feel like doing this anymore. I know you can relate, but I already started the process, so I might as well finish because I want to be extra lazy. I'M just gon na be using the melanin leave-in conditioner. Sometimes you know that's all you need so this is. Why should show you here's what my hair is like? Oh isn't she beautiful. She looks so good. I love when my hair's like this. So let me do this quickly because it's midnight and and nobody got time for that - and I don't need to make this video super long - and I know some of you guys are like oh, my god, you're gon na get so many knots. What are you doing? I'Ll show you what I'm doing see how I'm like stretching my hair out. It'S gon na get like bigger in front of your eyes. That'S because my hair wasn't fully wet in the shower, although I did go a little overboard, but I needed the moisture of my hair felt really dry. So don't be afraid to give you hear water. Okay, where are you focusing, don't be afraid to moisturize your hair? You guys I'd rather lose the style and have moisturize hair than have dry hair with a cute style. Oh you guys my ends. Okay. I just want to point out that I did every want to do this, but it took me less than 10 minutes to do so. You have no excuse as to why you don't care for your hair. Just give her 10 minutes three times a week. This is the amount of hair that came out, that's it, so this is the day that I finally decided to give myself a well needed trim. You guys, you saw my ends in the previous clips and they had to go. If you want to see the full video on how I trim my ends, I will link it down below all right, so I don't really know what today is today's Friday, but in terms of this little timeline of what I'm doing with my hair, I will figure It out and put it on the screen, but hello, hi. Welcome to my bathroom. We are going to quickly moisturize our hair, so we have our little water living, conditioner and oil spray bottle. This is my little quick fix on you know when I want to moisturize my hair, but I really don't want to spend too much time moisturizing. Typically, this process starts in the shower, though so I'm going to wet my hair in the shower, but I showered earlier today - and I did with my hair in the shower, but I did not seal the moisture. So, of course, my hair feels dry now, so I'm gon na go to the real lazy way just use the water from the sink. I know I am probably just going to create a mess dough in there to be honest, but I really just want to get some good moisture like on my ends. You know, and you can't get that without water - I mean that's about it. I don't even need to wet my hair too much and I'm gon na follow up with my little lemon conditioner situation. Squeeze that through my hair is feeling nice. I could use a little bit more oil. You know what I'm gon na add a bit more oil on my ends. I did trim my ends to the couple of days ago, so they feel really really good. If you didn't see that video, I will link it down below in the cards where you can find it alright. So here we are just a little bit of almond, just a bit of almond oil. I'M just going to put this right on my ends just in case my hair gets any ideas you know not today, but boo, not this summer. We are going to be moisturized all summer long to protect my ends, especially now that I got myself a nice fresh trim. It is the perfect time to care for my ends. I have this Grace Lea cap, you guys have all of these things that I don't use anyway. I'M just go stuff, my hair in here and call it a night there we go. I hope you guys are doing well have a good night. Alright, so that's it! I hope that you guys enjoyed this video. I hope that it gives you an idea of how I care for my hair during the week. Keep in mind, we are still in quarantine. I mean I am. I don't really go anywhere, I'm still working from home, so I don't really have to style my hair per se, but it gives you an idea of how I moisturize my hair throughout the week. So now my hair stays moisturize, especially right now. I am trying to really get down with moisture so that you know when I get out of quarantine, especially in the summer, then my hair is moister dries dry. Hair is not cute, sis, okay, so I'm really trying to stay on top of my moisture so that I retain my length and I look real cute when it's time to go outside okay. I hope this video was helpful and give me a thumbs up if you enjoyed it, and I will see you in my next one bye, oh and I should mention that today's July 5th and I actually haven't washed my hair. Yet my hair, still in those little twists, I just kind of like toss this on. You know trying to look real cute, I'm trying I didn't wash my hair. I should have washed this weekend, but I didn't it happens to the best of us, probably gon na be watching tomorrow. Hopefully, fingers crossed - I don't know - maybe we'll see if I don't that I'm just going to continue to moisturize my hair until my next wash day and that's very important if you don't wash your hair as consistently as you would like to just keep moisturizing. Don'T just ignore her until you eventually wash that's a recipe for disaster, just keep moisturizing into index, washing okay,

Bellindah Gama: When she said “I’d rather lose the style and have moisturized hair than dry hair with a cute style” why can’t we have both sometimes my 4C hair just don’t want to work with me

Zama: you’re literally the reason why i started taking care of my hair and why i’ve also done videos on my hair journey❤️

Marecia Dewar: Finally a realistic moisturizing routine.

Kafui Pedanou: You’re the reason why I fell in love with my hair and thank you for making that happen ❤️

Zama: Jenn Jackson’s videos are super helpful and informative. thanks for the content!

delsie: Thank you for this video Jenn I feel like most youtubers tend to brush off what they do during the week. Something I struggle with during the week is keeping my hair moisturized and I thought it was only my haid that got dry in the middle of the week because no one ever talks about this so thank you. Much Love

Maya Castleberry: I’ve been watching your videos and following your advice the last couple months and my hair is absolutely thriving. I used to hate my hair but seeing how healthy and amazing it looks now makes me so happy ❤️

Charlotte Roberts: I'm still mesmerized how fast your hair has grown. You say 10 minutes I don't know about that. My hair is not as long as your hair and it takes me a almost an hour to do. I see you at almost 91G followers. Great! The Melanin leave on conditioner has been out of stock for awhile.

Jennifer Obeng: I love you so much!! I just started getting to know my hair and I cannot tell you how much I love the way you keep it real ... and hilarious!! Made the mistake of washing my short- but-not-TWA-short hair like Becky. The minute I started detangling, I thought of you. Shoulda twisted it like you said! I'm a little slow, but I learn eventually. Thank you!

Elle Woods: Well said daily 4c natural hair care tips are much needed. Thank you!

NiJah Swett: Watching your videos, inspires me to take better care of my hair. I’m really determined to follow your steps and advice you’ve given in all of your videos. Your hair and you are so freaking beautiful

Shirl Starg: Lovely! You make it look so simple. I've been trying way too hard to keep up my moisturizing. I'm guilty of making it so difficult & stressful for myself. Now you've shown me how it really doesn't have to be ☺. Your a God send. Thxs . Appreciate you telling us not to be afraid of water ( guilty of that too, Lol). I'll leave my shower cap off next time. What's the the approx ratio of leavin, water and oil in that re-moisturize spray? Thxs.

Melvina G Davis: Thank you for the information. I am still trying to love my 4c. I starred natural in February so it's been a journey. This really helps.

ItsKiki: This is soooooooooo helpful Jen. As always, thank you !

Jadine: You’re so beautiful! Such pretty hair, you were so unbothered cutting off a good chunk! I tried Melanin in my hair but the formula nearly broke my hair off in fact my edges are currently in the recovery position ‍♀️ it was awful but I’m glad it’s working for you

Suné Solomons: Thank you for this ❤️ You’re definitely helping me with my journey

ALLTHINGS71: Yes. Telling us how to care for our hair during the week is extremely important! Thank you for the information.

ImmyN: This is so different from the "minimal manipulation" rule I always heard in older hair videos. And your hair seems to still grow despite you handling it like every two days. Hmmm. Great video btw.

Thembani Shiburi: Thanks Jenn for the moisture tip ... great detailed video

Coralbluenumber7lipstick: You are the best natural hair you tuber in my opinion! You always keep things simple so I don’t feel overwhelmed. I have been neglecting my hair after wash day and then it gets super itchy and flaky. Could you do a video on scalp health ? ❤️

Hey It's Chrystal!: Great video! Still enjoying your content even tho I'm now 6 weeks into my loc journey. You're one of the first people I started watching when I started my natural hair journey over 7 years ago.

Keisha Rowland: Hi Jenn. New subscriber. Thank you so much for being so transparent. I love your videos. You have motivated me to take better care of my hair. Thank you.

miniminott48: Very informative video. Despite the trim, your hair is still long and it is also healthy. This video is much appreciated.

Erica Nicole R.: "Don't just ignore her until you eventually wash" my Lord the best advice I've received because honestly that's me ‍♀️. Thank you so much for your transparency too! God bless ❤️

KC: You are absolutely right about following a wash routine of other Youtubers and not seeing the process afterwards. Thanks for showing us a video.

Temi Olusola: I love that you kept it real Jenn! You're probably the most relatable 4c hair YouTuber I know! Lool, thank you!

Toritse-Valerie Tuedor: girl, you're the reason I bought the melanin moisturizer, its amazing!

Yolanda Watson: I tend to have the most trouble with my scalp and ends. I've recently adopted a routine that has been keeping my scalp moisturized. I've heard good things about using flax seed gel on ends to seal in moisturize. I've been wanting to try it, but just haven't gotten around to it yet haha.

Jennifer: Love your videos you helped me a lot didn’t know anything about hair never really care for my hair before but since I’ve been watching your videos things change

Royal_Kira: I had to subscribe because you are the proof that you CAN touch your hair during the week and it will still grow! I think the key is to just not over comb/brush your hair and try to be gentle when you style it JUST LIKE YOU DO IN THIS VIDEO I also subscribed because I saw another video where you say “OIL IS NOT MOISTURE”. Like DUH!

Japeria Williams: This is such a realistic video!! Love it!!!!

Paulette Moore: This was very helpful. You definitely filled in the gaps after a good wash day.

Lovina Okoronkwo: Ouhh I like this style. I’m going to get some of those little rings and wear my hair in twists like this. It’s cute and easy!

Epiphany: this video was so helpful! i’m still new to caring for my 4c hair and i was wondering how often i should shampoo/fully wash it or have a wash day? i just took box braids out that have been in for a really long time (like 3 months lol) so i did a really deep treatment/wash on july 1st and i’m not sure when my next wash day should be. thanks!

Dealing with Dee: Just subscribed! Your personality is so contagious! Also your hair is beautiful!

SHE McG: Very nice! In a wk-long micro/mini plaiting endeavor. I won’t be afraid of moisture because I’d love to leave them in for 2-3 weeks! Enjoyed the vid! ‍

Natural Daniah: Your hair is very long! And I can’t normally go more than three days without moisturizing.

Hombakazi Dlangamandla: Thanks Jenn for this. Always with useful info. I am obsessed in taking care of my hair now. Question though, how do take care and moisturize when you have protective style like boxed braids?

Simi Sanni: Thank you for this! I've been looking for someone to do a weekly routine

mjoy peace: Thanks for sharing how you maintain your hair thru the week...very helpful!

LoyalLion Gaming: i struggle to handle the back of my hair when it comes to twisting, it takes me like 30-40 mins

Mya Douglas: Thank you for this video Jenn ♥️

Kay W: Thanks for the helpful tips as usual!

Stania Paul: Thank you for this video this is what needs to be known. I sometimes get lost or just make up my own

Mel 2021: Yes "how to moisturize all summer long". Looking forward to that content. Thanks.

Jessica Adai: I have the same texture and coil pattern.....you are getting me to appreciate my hair even more

Irene Willis: Great and informative as usual ❤️

Crystal Jackson: Best thing to me, that you've decided to do in 2020. To show what is done on a daily basis is soo very helpful for me. I am 2.5yrs natural an I get frustrated because I dont kno what to do on a daily basis. My hair is tip of the ear length. Like u said I kno what to do on wash day but after tht its like.... so I THANK YOU for deciding to do this series. Thanks for the education and for keeping it real! People follow real!!

Mzmocha100: You are beautiful and I love your accent. I’m so happy I found you. You gave me so much hope. First YouTuber I saw with my exact hair type. I purchase some pure oils products and waiting on my Imonatural products. I’m rocking much softer twist and fros now. Bye hair gels!!! I have stuck to a weekly hair routine. Hoping to train my hair to hold styles longer. I already have good length it just was not strong. The breaking and shedding has completely stop in just two weeks. I only use my hands to detangle and style now. Which has made things so much easier. #proudnaturallady

Mavis Wiggins: Awesome video .....you are the first that i seen detailed moisturizing/taking care of hair after wash day But now for that makeup look ong please need a tutorial❤

Joshua Dillon: Thanks so much for this perspective ❤️❤️

Michelle Johnson: What I am wondering, since oil and water don’t mix - how useful is it to wet your hair after you have applied oil and creams with heavy butters? Theoretically, the water just sits on top. Right?

Jessica X: You deserve way more subs sisss✨

Aisha Boubacar: hey Jen! could you please review the shea moisture Manuka honey and matura oil line?

Sary Menzy: So helpful❤️

Mel T: Funny I saw this. I had a twist out that was still looking good but I noticed my hair was getting dry so I decided to wash and moisturize
