Hey guys today I'll be trying out an aesthetical, a hair mask on my hair for the first time so stay tuned to see how this goes to create my mask. All I used was Aztec healing clay, raw apple, cider, vinegar and a little bit of water. To start I added three tablespoons of Aztec clay and balancing out with some apple cider vinegar. You always want to use apple, cider, vinegar with Aztec healing clay to balance out and neutralize the solution a little more or it will be too basic. So some people put oils in there Aztec healing clay masks, but I use this on my face and just use this recipe alone. So I tried it, but in hindsight I'll definitely try with some oils. So it's not as drying. So I had to fiddle with the ratios because I needed a lot more product than I would for my face, and I finally came to a nice amount of product with a good clay, like consistency now time to apply to my hair I'll, be starting off on One week old hair, so the last time I washed my hair was one week ago and I just hopped in the shower to wet my hair a little bit because you want to apply this mask on wet hair, not dry, hair and I'm just taking a section Of hair and coating my strands with the mask, so you want to make sure to coat every single strand with this mask and also on yourself, so that it can deep clean and remove all toxins from your hair and scalp. So if you didn't know about the many benefits of using Aztec healing clay on your hair and incorporating it into your hair regimen, as I didn't no worries, let's list some of the key benefits of using this mask on your hair, so Aztec clay helps draw toxins. Impurities and residual hair products out of your hair, leaving it squeaky clean. It also opens up the hair cuticle, allowing for a better absorption of your hair products, aka retaining moisture. Lastly, and what this mask is most notably known for is to help define your curl and aid in curl clumpy. So if you're anything like me, you'll watch a natural hair video here about all the benefits of this mask or product, but never actually try it on your own hair, so that that was me here. I'Ve heard so much about this mask, but never actually attempted to use it. So this was my first time so I'm gon na tell you kind of how I felt about the mask my initial thoughts. So when I first put the mask on, I was really surprised at how drying it made my hair feel when I washed it out. My hair didn't feel dry, but when I was applying it, it just dried my hair out so much. I was so scared that my hair was gon na like break off, so I would definitely suggest making sure your hair is thoroughly detangled before using this, because you're not gon na be able to detangle your hair as you're applying it's, because I was scared that my Hair was gon na like break off because of how hard it was getting and dry. I only left the mask on for about five minutes which isn't suggested. You definitely want to leave it on for about thirty minutes. So once I was all done, this is what it all looked like. My hair was so hard at this point and I was kind of freaking out. I was definitely bringing out but yeah once I hopped into the shower guys i rinsed with warm to hot water and it melted right off my head and when I say my hair felt so great, even though I left it on for only five minutes. My hair felt so great, really moisturized, it didn't feel stripped at all and I immediately thought. Ah damn I got ta try this again and leave it on for longer. So I'm just gon na follow up by going in with the conditioner just to really detangle my hair and get some extra moisture in there and yeah. So I hope you guys enjoyed this video if you did make sure to give this video a thumbs up. If you aren't already make sure you are subscribed and make sure you hit that notification bell, so you never miss an upload and I hope to see you guys in my next video bye, guys

Patti Watti: Finally!! A girl with short/medium length 4c hair!!!!!

Julisa B: 1) Mix half ACV/Warm water (warm water opens your cuticles and keeps the mask warm throughout application) 2) Add an oil! (the clay is drying! you need to add some type of oil to assist. any oil o fyour choice. I mix avocado/castor/peppermint 3) Never let your hair hair dry in the mask. It is drying. Use a shower cap and add heat :)! This will also create steam from the mask while under the cap keeping your hair soft and pliable 4) Follow with a deep conditioner for about 5-10 minutes.

SELDOM V.: I love going on youtube and seeing girls that look like me, it's a great feeling.

NappyFu TV: Yep Bentonite Clay is the bomb! Aztec is my favorite brand. Its the only one I trust to use on my skin and hair. Glad you finally tried bentonite clay it has so many awesome uses!

MstressMew: I am so jealous of those beautiful curls. I was born with peach fuzz and didn't have real hair until I was two. At that point my hair kept growing but it never matured into decent work with-able hair. It is straight as a stick and so fine that when I pull it back and braid it, the braid is only about 1/4 inch wide. I've considered going in for a weave but I think it would just fall out! Love your hair. You don't know how lucky you are!

Curlymamii: When I do my Aztec clay mask, I make sure to add lots of conditioner and oils so that its not as drying. Also, if you are going to try this mask DO NOT comb through your hair while you have the mask on and even after you wash it out. Apply your most moisturizing conditioner to soften the hair. Leave it on for a couple of minutes and then proceed to detangle. I love this mask!

Whitney D: Absolutely LOVE THIS MASK! I add peppermint oil and olive oil to mines. I split my hair into four sections, rewater the sections before adding the mask, then I even water my hair as i apply the mask because it adds great slip and that allows me to detangle.

Pure Estrogen: This is my "I'm skipping wash day mask." Your hair looks lush!

Latisha: I love Chizi’s tutorials because her hair actually looks like my hair!

Dewunmi A: When doing this at home, don't move/poke the dried clay mask - that's when you really risk breaking your hair.

Iona Vinson: YES... I love this stuff for our 4C curls!! I put a plastic cap over to keep the moisture in and from it getting hard.. maybe try that next time.. the curl definition afterwards is amazing! .. thanks for sharing please update if you try with an oil.

Ro Moore: Love this mask after protective styling!! It isn’t as drying if you saturate your hair with water when applying. I like mine to be of a loose consistency so that it’s easier to apply and then rinse out. The curl definition is definitely my favorite thing about this mask.

Mitchka Leon: Your hair looks so soft! i love bentonite clay

Linda Summlin Aitch: Besides apple cider vinegar, I add aloe vera juice, liquid fenugreek, liquid amino acids and oils. I also place a plastic cap over my hair and leave the mask on for about 45 minutes to an hour -- loooooooove it!  Then I deep condition using my thermal heating cap! I do a clay mask monthly!

sheena: personally I think its the acv softening my hair instead of the clay. I use acv rinses when I take out braids to really get rid of build up and its always super soft after.

Taliyah Baldwin: I love seeing girls with hair like mine. I just bought this clay and I can’t wait to use it

Letrice Allia: Yassss, I love this mask. I apply this to my hair once a month and my curls be poppin afterwards.

Kayla Reid: Your hair is soooo bouncyyyy! I just cut my dreadlocks off #freethecurl It’s tough since my hair is so short now, I’ve got a twa, but it’s a learning lesson. My first wash on my hair felt SO DAMN GOOD! I had a dry scalp, but it has went away since it’s way easier to wash and oil my head and hair. GUYS if you are just starting out like I am and have super short hair, I recommend getting a “curl sponge” not sure what it’s actually called, but it works wonders. I even tried a regular dish sponge just to see and that works too, just make sure it’s clean! Much love from me ❤️

Lavender: You should always keep your hair moist while applying the clay to hair. You should have had a spray bottle to keep hair moist. It's very important not to let the hair Lose it's moisture and dry out and harden the hair as this could cause breakage. Other than that the results were amazing. Good job.

Richiey H: I use the bentonite clay mask on my hair often. I use it on dry dirty hair and wash it out as part of my wash day routine. My tangles melt away as I apply this mask as vinegar works as a natural detangler. I have been known to leave it in over night for max benefits. It clarifies my strands and cleanses my scalp. I love this mask and would recommend it to everyone. BTW, when I don't have time to apply a mask and my hair needs clarifying, I use a 2 to 1 ratio of ACV to water solution in a spray bottle that does an excellent job in a pinch. Followed by a quick co-wash and you're good.

JANIA: I DID THIS JUST THE OTHER DAY ON MY TRANS HAIR AND IT WORKS SO GOOD

Gem Floral: Beautiful coils! My wash day is tomorrow I need this in my regimen! Maybe you should try Rhassoul clay next

Felicia 926: I use that stuff all the time. My hair loves that clay. My hair feels soo soft after the clay is washed out, and my curls really clump up and pop so nicely :-))

Ashley Hope: Chiziiiiiiiii this was an Awesome tutorial, i got great results when i tried it on my 4c hair, & i just posted it as my first video on my channel. Bentonite is definitely going to be a staple product for my detox days. Thanks again for such great tips. I love youuuuuuuuu

Ana Ria: Have you ever tried the hair mask with Moroccan red clay? Apparently it gives slightly different results and is a bit more moisturising than bentonite. If possible could you make a video on it?

Red Love: I use it once a week or once every other week. I leave it in for 45 minute to an hr then I deep condition my hair. I absolutely love it my curls clump and they’re more defined as well

Autumn Shepherd: I love the bentonite clay mask, my hair deep conditions so well after . I make my mixture kinda liquidy and maybe that will help with the detangling and dryness

nina ocanas: Yes I definitely added an oil of my choice. Lavender oil and bought a whole collection of other oils that are different. My second time doing this let’s try it

Sierra Biagas: My mom turn me on to this stuff. I've used it twice and have noticed a huge difference in how my hair holds moisture. It has made it grow alot. Will definitely keep using it.

cathy: Next time put peppermint oil in it, trust me I put some in the mask and OOUUU GIRL MY SCALP FELT SO TINGLY also I put some olive oil and water in it too so it wouldn’t be drying and it wasn’t, it went on really smoothly

Lzheadfull ofhaircare: ❤Looms sooo good that moisture! I was scared as well when I tried this for the same reason but I let it ride...oh yea I let it sit for awhile then added a shower cap before if dried all the way...it keeps it moist.

tt bird: Doing this tonight! Have had both products in stock for weeks and haven't decided what to do with them. Now I know. Thanks ❣

Shira Michelle: Great review! As far as portion size, how many times do you think you will be able to use the mask before you repurchase?

Keshia Alfred: How often should we do this? I did it last weekend and I'm in love with the results!

naturallyme: I was a die heart Aztec mud washer until I found out about about Moroccan or rhossual  clay, which is 100 times more moisturizing and use the same way as Bentonite clay

Queen Red: I just tried this mask and the back of my hair had great results however my front shrunk up and had zero definition. Does anyone know where I could have possibly went wrong?

Aris Duncan: It doesn't need to be left on for 30 min. Its best to do in a shower to keep it from drying, this is one product that you don't want let dry on your hair. After applying it put on a cap to prevent it from drying

drmsd14: I use a mixture of kaolin clay, marshmallow root powder, hibiscus powder, aloe vera powder and purified water (my scalp is allergic to oil *sad face*). My hair is always soft, and, most importantly, detangled.

Lianet777: I love how thick your hair is♥️ what do you usually do to make it so thick? I know it’s naturally that way, but it looks so healthy!!!!!

Daizha D.: FYI guys this Clay is really hard to remove from hair so be really patient and make sure it’s thoroughly and completely out

Deburrito: If I didn’t read the title I would have thought this was a relaxer bc of the thumbnail... almost had a myocardial infarction... but we bless God, ya curls looking juicyyy

Chastity Palmer: Your hair looks so good!

trianna2008: I tried this mask before and it was okay, but it didn't make my hair feel super great. My hair was pretty much as moisturized/clean after using suave's moisturizing shampoo -that $2.88 almond one is the bomb!. A similar (in texture) mix that has my hair looking and feeling fire is the cherry lola treatment. I only do the basic one with full fat greek yogurt, baking soda, and liquid aminos. Whenever I use it, my hair is like a cloud of 4c goodness. And the definition it gives... >.<

Kathy Robertson: I tried this product and I love it

Feji Osh : I normally use this on my face and kinda put some on my edges while doing that. Can't wait to try it on my whole head lol!

Shadae Williams: You really helped I never knew how to make the mixture I’m going to try next thank you!

Linda Hamilton: I love mixing my clay with acv and aloe Vera juice. I leave it in for 30 minutes, rinse and follow up with my shampoo. I use my favorite deep conditioner and sit under my hair steamer for 30 minutes.

꧁Safi꧂: The first time I used it I was very blown away by the way my hair felt too but as I kept using it I noticed that my hair trends became thinner and weaker everytime. I noticed this because I found a comb with some of my hair trends from at least 2 months when I last used it and compared to my hair trends now, they look awefully thinner and easier to break than they used to be. Just be careful what you put in your hair and try to get every information necessary about the product (good and bad) before using it. Because although it's making the hair very manageable it is also making trends thinner and weaker

Kourtney M.: I just used this today, left it on for 35 minutes while under an thermal cap. It didn’t dry so when it was time to wash it out it came out easily and my hair was so shiny

Majestically Maiah: I currently only use rhassoul clay, but I have always wanted to try the Aztec bentonite clay. Thanks for the video!

LoveDestinae: Ive been doing bentonite clay hair masks for a while now. Usually I'll forget about them until my hair decides to be a frizzy mess for some odd reason and then I will watch youtube and see ppl talking about bentonite clay and I'm like oh yea I remember that works good for my hair lol. I just did my clay mask a couple days ago and posted a video on my results. Normally I just use ACV and water and the bentonite but this time I added grapeseed and rice bran oil worked great. But I suggest using a shower cap to prevent your hair from drying extremely hard :)

rosegold.sunset: You aren't supposed to apply it to your scalp because your natural oils will make the clay stick, making hard to wash out. I would suggest coating your strands with the clay and after you rinse it out use clarifying shampoo ONLY on the scalp - this makes for an even cleansing experience! Tried and true, been doing it for over a year!!

JFPRECIOUS: When I put it in my hair the consistency is thinner so that it is easier to distribute not as thick as it would be if I used it on my face. It dries quicker when it's that thick as well. I spray my hair with my aloe and essential oil mix (aloe vera is ph balancing and my hair loves it!) prior to application of the mask. I also cover it with a plastic cap to keep my hair moist and avoid the mask from drying out too much. I leave it in for at least 20mins and follow up with a conditioner or deep conditioner. This method never leaves my hair feeling stripped even before the conditioner.

Angel Hearon: I love using the mask on my hair it made my hair so soft but when I did mine i also put some black castor oil in there because I was so scared it’ll dry my hair off and it made my hair sooooo soft

Alicia Mendsey - Natural Hair Journey & Goals: I never tried this! Interesting :) Your hair looks nice. I know I tried Terressentials and that has Bentonite Clay in it ! I featured it in a video.

About My Fro: WOW!!! Your hair looks shiny and soft!!! Thanks for sharing

Elana Rose: How cute are you making sure we see your towel first, love it! Thank you for listing benefits, most people skip that whole part.

M S: I've been wanting to try this mask.. I will definitely order it .

Bianca Wagner: Do not let it dry!!! Put a shower cap on. If u let it dry it can be hard to wash out.

CuriousBadger: Can this treatment work on any type of hair? Just curious because it looks like it would be awesome to try

DrGirl444: If your hair feels dry while applying, have a spray bottle nearby where you can moisten your hair a bit. Put on a plastic cap and let it sit for 30 mins.

Brittany Elle: I love using the clay on my hair!! I use aloe vera juice instead of ACV and water though.

Andrea Robinson: I love this mask for my face!!

Nikki's Notebook: I use a tint bottle to make the process easier when applying to my scalp and hair. Works sooooo much better.

Aisayma: I cover it with a plastic bag so it doesn’t get dry! I also add olive oil and a little tea tree oil too and it’s amazing!!

Uptight Curls by Amanda: I've watched several of these videos so far because i'm trying to see if you're supposed to apply it to your scalp. do you know if you can? or do you follow up with a moisturizing shampoo once you've applied the mask?

P Power: Leave it longer next time and also use it to detangle your hair, It detangles your hair naturally when you are applying it to a wet hair.

brownlace: Thank you for your review. I’m going to try this tomorrow .

MyCrownOfCurls: BENTONITE CLAY IS BOMBB!! when i don't have it it drives me crazy lol glad you finally tried it! its a must have for everyone!

Adrian J.: It looks so bouncy, I def have to try!!

Aiyana Shaniece: I had to sub to you. You are hilarious and your personality is awesome. Look forward to more future videos

Aubrie: I did this today and I still had clumps and tiny bits of clay all throughout my hair but it did it's job

La'Toya Jones: Ya hair looks bomb! How often do u do this clay treatment?

Ahtiya L.: One of my New Year's Resolutions is to revamp my hair care routine for the Winter, so maybe I'll be adding this to it

K M: When would you recommend doing this treatment? For example every week or month? What would be a healthy waiting period?

Ipheey Obi: This clay works magic. Thank you for this video

lila dawson: The way she was putting it on gave me anxiety but I do use that clay mask on my hair and it really works!! My curls have never looked better just ordered a new can last night

Jayarie: You aren't to twist while it's in your hair. That causes hair to over clump but instead you are to take through like a wash and go. I guess it depends on what you're trying to do.

A. Barrie: i would suggest using a wooden spoon instead bc of how powerful acv and the clay are. they can pull and absorb the chemicals from the plastic ❤ love you!

Jasmine King: I wss using it for my face the whole time & never knew it could be used on my hair. I definitely just tried this. thank you so much.

AlyssaChanel: I feel like rinsing it out too soon is something I would do too LMAO. I have used this for my face before and now I wanna use it on my natural hair, but like you said.. it dries SO hard.

eTeRnAl bLiSs: Love this clay...i just deep condition or hot oil treatment afterwards instead of adding extra ingredients besides vinegar and water to the clay so it can do its thing.

Sofia Okorafor: I love the editing on this video, chizi!

CheeseburgerNoCheese: Straight to the point. I luv it!

Peaceful T: I'm going definitely give this product a try!...Thanks!

Leesa Unique: You’re too cute how u still pretty with all that clay in your hair! I uploaded 3 videos on my channel using this clay mask on my scalp, underarms and full body but not my actual hair! I keep seeing everyone post how it’s so good for your hair I think I might try it n let it be my next uploadv thank u for sharing ♥️

Mona Francine: Wow, your hairs so healthy!

Alex Delaney: Your hair looks nice and healthy

RCJonieB: you should try rhassoul clay... I'm able to detangle my hair so well with my Rhassoul and apple cider vinegar mix

Brittany Terrell: I add oils and aloe vera juice to the mix to avoid that dryness. Also after I saturate my hair with it I spritz aloe vera juice all over and then cover with a plastic cap to keep it from drying

f l: .... so beautiful hair and haircut, love it!

omogenaija1: The only clay video that made sense to me as I am 100% Naija like you. Thank you

kimkimkimkimmie': ..I’ve been scared to use this, I guess I will give this a try lol!☺️

Shaneikiya Steel: My sister got meanie Aztec Clay for Christmas last year and I'm just now about to use it . I've got nothing to do today so it's kinda like why not? And my hair needs it soooo ‍♀️

Izzy S: Your hair has grown so much!

jada j: Aside from the hair your makeup looks damn good

Afrohead Jada: I have a question do you shampoo and condition your hair before you use the clay or after ?

Tomika Davis: That's a new idea for natural hair. Wow!!!

Miss Celina Te lo Explica: Hi! I'm Mexican and I live in México City, where the Aztecs used to live and I've never heard about Aztec clay. Where did you buy that?

Angelique Tembo LMSW: My hair was hard too and rinsed it out! So my first time was a fail too
