Take the Guess Work Out of Natural Hair Care. ~ Facts and, "Not So" Common Sense to Longer, Thicker, Healthier Hair

- Green Beauty -

Hey how you doing thanks for stopping by I want to post a video real quick for those of you that are new to this or feeling a little overwhelmed. These things there's a lot of information out there, natural here, which is a good thing, but if you're new, it could be hard to know where to start. So, if you're new to this or you feel lost, this video is for you quit putting your hair down. You know natural hair is alive. They can hear you right. The only way you're ever going to achieve anything is, if you believe it first, it's impossible to properly take care of something you don't like so sure you're here, some love take good care of it and yourself and see where it goes. This is what my hair looked like when I first went natural, I didn't worry too much about the unknown. All I knew is that I would never knowingly put poison in my hair or scalp again. In fact, one of the first videos I ever put up was on the dangers of relaxers. When you first go natural or start something new, your mentality can make or break you. Natural hair is a crown, that's much greater than just length. It can do anything so use it as a form of self-expression and carve out your own style knowing when and how to cleanse your hair is vital to a successful hair journey. It'S not so much about how often you wash your hair. What really matters is being consistent? Don'T determine your wash day schedule based on what someone else is doing. Consistency is key, so create a schedule. You know you can keep and be consistent with your wash day. Process is equally as important. There'S a strong interest with fast wash days, but the reality is if your hair has a tight, curl pattern and dense as it bulks up your wash day, process will get longer and longer it doesn't have to take all day, but it's definitely not gon na be Under an hour, a great tip, if you're fed up with long detangling sessions, keeping your hair as stretched as possible throughout the shampoo process is a lifesaver. I do that by putting my hair and twist and bantu knots throughout the whole process. So I wash a section of twist and put it back into bantu knots. My hair never gets a chance to shrink up too much entangle, just in case you're wondering I have a full wash day once a month, and I manually cleanse once a week by scooping and spreading below, is the video that goes over in detail. How I scoop and spread, and what my hair looks like after a whole month of doing it, my wash day process usually looks like this, since it's once a month, I really try to make a count and give my scalp and hair extra TLC below is a Link to a video on my onion juice recipe, I'm gon na be posting a video on my updated version and different ways. You can customize a recipe. I'M also gon na be posting a video soon on how I stretched my tightly textured, dense, hair without heat and I'll leave. The link to that video below our hair gets sad and dry when it feels neglected and need some attention between wash days, not too much attention. Just some. Our hair is so much like a plant. So if you leave it to dry out, it will get brittle rough and lifeless, so the goal is to stay ahead of dryness and never let it get to that state. Staying ahead of dryness will make your life a lot easier. Everyone is different. Some of you may have to remonster eyes once or twice a week or every three days or so below our links to two videos on how to keep low and high porosity hair happy if you're having a real hard time, keeping your hair, moisturize and lubricated these Videos are for you, I keep my hair, moisturized and lubricated by keeping it stretched, utilizing the power of see them through scooping and spreading and layering products properly, based on what my hair likes, which for me is liquid oil. So altogether I only interact with my hair about once a week, so that's it if you're just starting out or you feel lost start with, focusing on keeping your hair clean and from everage right out. You can make tweaks over time. As you get to know, your hair stay tuned to the next video, where I'm going to talk about the benefits of hair treatments and which ones to focus on. If it's really that important to trim your ends and my views on hair styling, I hope this video was helpful. As always. Thanks for watching see you the next video you

DiscoveringNatural: Your tips are helpful for all natural hair folks : beginner or not

Kiki: Been in the natural hair game for 12 years now. I think one of the most important thing I've learned is not doing my hair when I'm tired, in a rush or upset. You have to be GENTLE with your hair. Hair is not chain links. You'd be surprised how rough and hasty you are with your hands when you are not in a good headspace. *But let's talk about your glowing skin tho*

M K: Whether you're a beginner or a long timer THIS is the best source for all things natural hair! Watch her past videos and takes notes, you won't regret it. Her scientific info alone will change your life!

miss mari k: Definitely not a beginner, but you give the best advice!

Mayfia: I think the most important things I've learned from my natural hair journey is, - Your hair is not theirs - To learn to read ingredients and know what they do rather than watching to see if the product works for someone else. - The first 5 ingredients is what the product has the most of.

Paula Lanton: Here is my daily affirmation just for my hair: My hair is beautiful! My hair is healthy! My is long! My hair is strong!

long yarn: My hair is a lot less textured than probably 98% of your viewership, but I still find tons of value in your videos. I might have to use a lighter hand but I still think most of your tips, tricks, and DIY's will work for me. So Thank you for doing the science and putting this information out here for us!

aliciabrillante: I love the beginning where you said we have to change our thought process and love our hair. That is the foundation. This video is great to share with newbies and people who are still struggling with self love and how to care for their hair!!! I shall be sharing!

C Jones: Green Beauty, of course we want to see your natural hair journey. You got me watching a video for beginners 4 years into my journey, don't you?! Make it and we will watch!

MyNaturalMyChoice: I love your first statement ! So true your hair can hear you. There's power in the tongue!

Natasha White: I'd like a natural hair journey video. I've noticed THE ONLY WAY, I see growth is through protective styling!!! (Twists) My hair being in a stretched state and me loving my kinky curls has been working amazing and it's only been a month and I can already see growth!

Sundertje: I did my big chop almost 2 months ago. So this video was sent by heaven through you. Thank you!

Daria Pio: To the point and on point! Yes, please share your journey with us.

Woman Of God: You're the only person I trust when it comes to natural hair. I learnt so much from you. Thanks a lot Sis, all the way from Trinidad.

AGBK: I am transitioning so this was very helpful. I relaxed my hair for over 30 years and decided to stop doing it because of the hair loss and the lack of CARE stylist/beauticians were giving my hair. I relied on them heavily to keep my hair healthy but times have changed and it's all about their change $$$$$$. I love your videos so keep them coming.

With Marcia: I've been natural my entire life. Did a big chop a few months ago( cut 20 inches off) . Now I'm growing back my hair. All now is deep condition and use castor oil. My hair is growing. I think just leaving your hair alone and not buy all these expensive products is the best thing. I have a video up on my channel if your interested to see my journey.

MR: This video is for beginners--it's right there in the title! :) I'm sure most of us know someone who would benefit from this video. Not to mention, just bec we are not beginners doesn't mean we are doing everything right for our hair. I certainly learned something new just now and I've been natural for almost 30 years. Glad I watched and will recommend.

expectopatronum18: Thank you so much for these tips! Although I'm not a beginner, I feel like it a lot of times when I stop listening to my hair and try to switch things up for no reason, then wonder why she protests ! Your videos are such quality content and you are such a big inspiration as a person. Also, 100% yes, I would LOVE to see a hair journey video!

Gc Guerd: Great timing. Love the video! My issue is sealing in moisture especially after 1 week wearing a protective style (twists). I put water (PH balanced) and oil (coconut oil in a pomade) in the evening and the next morning that sucker is so dry I break into a sweat trying to style it. I guess I have to keep trying and just be patient with my hair but any help would be welcomed!

C Foster: Short and to the point. That's what I love about you!

Evelyn Alexander: Working in sections, keeping hair stretched, and sealing in moisture after washing has been game changing! tfs!

Zeze: I love your voice so much it’s so calming. Who needs ASMR when we have you !! Learning and relaxing at the same time

Goddess Reborn: I'm not a beginner but I'm here for the information. Also, I'm still learning about my hair. I was natural for four years and had the biggest UNHEALTHY afro so I had to cut it all off. Definitely wish I would taken the time to learn what was best for my hair. To new beginnings...

YouTube Custodian: this was so helpful. my mom never learned how to take care of her hair because my grandmother neglected her. rediscovering the beauty of Black hair treatment is so great!

Keneisha Brown: Pretty sure that majority of the viewers are not beginners..

Khouri I.: This is a great video for beginners and seasoned naturals :-)

jjoyous jay: New Sub!! I've been natural since 2008,but I like your demeanor and approach. When I decided to go natural, it was very easy to become overwhelmed with all of the information now available to us. I was raised a natural as a child and teen. I just went back to the way my Mom cared for my hair coming up and build from there. Pleasure to meet you!

Sherri Bryant: Thanks for taking time to post this. I agree your channel is the best and most educational out there.for many year I had no relaxer and only flat ironed my hair. Then when I decided to not flat iron I couldn’t understand why it was so dry until I watched one of your videos about kinky curly hair and sebum not being able to slide down so easily. I also learned the importance of deep conditioning and real protein treatments. Please keep sharing.

Sa Alston: This is great! I've been watching for some time and I felt lost before you :)..seriously! I've referred you to others but this video is great I wish I knew all this BEFORE I got on this "natural journey. Thanks GreenBeauty!!

Maya's Mission: I’ve been natural all my life and most times I still don’t know much about it thanks for this ❤️

PinkLemon: Thank you for making this video! Lately, I feel like on youtube you have to dig through tons of wash n go tutorials and product reviews to find vids that actually help folks learn their hair. I know where the educational naturals are (Green Beauty, Naptural85 NappyFu, Chime, 21st Century Natural Woman, etc.) But I feel for the new naturals who haven't found y'all yet!

lilybind: I'm here from a black british afro doc I watched. This was super helpful, I've taken from it that I should find a consistent hair washing routine and to moisturise consistently. I'm super curious about heatless stretching and the types of moistures to use. I've never been able to grow my hair into a thick luscious afro like my sisters. it's a cute afro but still very fine, it's also at that awkward stage of not being long or short but it doesn't want to seem to grow more so I look forward to learning more.

Mrs. V: I wanna see a journey and a length check Queen! With your ups and downs!:) I think that'll be super helpful!

Brittney C: I really like that you say you have to love your hair to take proper care of it. I've been natural for 3 years and I've noticed that the only times I've cause dramatic damage to my hair is when I was unhappy with it and wanted it to be something it wasn't.

d_licious Subrina: I love your videos! Short and to the point. I've learned that natural hair is a journey so take it slow and steady.

Neon Flux: This is just what I need !! Thanks so much xx

alfonsca: Notification squad! Great introduction information for new naturals presented in a very pleasing, understanding and comprehensive, soothing and reassuring manner!

Timetrae: Cute hair bow! Great vid!! Informative short and simple!!

Jem my: Very helpful.I've been natural all my life except for that one time I texturied my hair after Form 5 for Graduation.Didn't like it so grew out my hair and cut off the straightener.I had a terrible dandruff problem for years so the hair stylist recommended doing a treatment every two weeks.I thought the money I'd have to put out bi monthly and discovered the whole natural hair community and all these vids.Really helped, dandruff gone and my hair has grown a lot since then-from about chin length to about mid back now. ALL GLORY TO JESUS :) I've come a long way but I feel lost lol. Learnt a whole lot but never really developed a proper hair care regimen so doing some research.Your vids are incredibly helpful. Thanks much.Gives me the info and confidence to take care of this hair God has blessed me with.

Bume.e: Your videos have been my dictionary lately, I am searching something different every day and there's such a wealth of information Thank you, and this is definitely telling me to always share what I know with others, that's how we grow better. Thank you.

lAmour grandit: You, my lady! There's no description on Earth to describe how stunning you are, and how much your content is greatly appreciated! Btw, your animation is dope! Thank you for you!

Amika Lewis: I am new here. I am 41 and have had relaxed hair since the age of 11. I cut it all off on July 4, 2020 and I am excited for this journey. I love my natural TWA and I am looking forward to July 4, 2021, God spare life to see how it flourishes.

Felicia Dunn: Always very helpful and informative. Love ❤️ your channel!

J T: I'm very excited for the twist video because me and my younger sister are both natural (I've been for about 6 years and she's going on about 3). I have a looser texture than her beautiful and kinky 4C crown, but we're still not sure the best way to stretch it. Her roots are always tightly coiled when she does twists while the ends her hair is more stretched. Super excited to show her the video!

Angelita: It does look like a bow! Love the simplicity, clarity and details of your videos.

Ilovesesshomaru sama: It’s work to grow and keep healthy hair of any texture. But when that day comes when you’re ready to style you hair and it’s healthy, you’ll be thankful you put in the work. Oh and I see you using the silk stretch! I do that now and it’s the best thing I’ve ever done for my hair plus it looks cute around the house. Also your links aren’t working

LoveMyCurls: Love your channel and its content. You are very empowering! Fantastic job, as always! You have great skin girl, Wow!

Danielle D: Oh my gosh, how DID YOU GROW YOUR HAIR SO LONG, IT'S SO BEAUTIFUL!!!!!

eyesis0081: I'd like to see more on your natural hair journey!!!

nicole lee: She is the truth guys. Since watching her videos and learning from her my hair is super healthy and has grown past my shoulders. It's easier to manage and twists like magic. The routine is a crucial part of healthy hair.

My Life In General: Great advice! Your natural hair products are a life saver!!! My hair is thriving so much and growing so well. Shedding has stopped significantly!

Uanne: Yes I want to see a video on you're natural hair journey !

Ahyajriah Alia: You are definitely an inspiration to all of us. Beauty + Brains. Your videos are top notch #1.. I know I want to see your hair journey.. I actually think we all would super enjoy a hair journey video from you.

Teejay Jones: Can we get a whole video of your natural hair journey? Thank you && much love!!!

Sabrina M: Thank you for your videos. I have one question, i have been trying to love my hair more but here is my issue, im exexperiencing LOTS of hair loss in the form or tiny/short ringlet/coils everytime i comb or wash. Im being extra gentle, ive deep conditioned, ive trimmed, ive steamed, ive up my moisture and hydrate routine, im treating it like a baby. I even did a Aphogee protien treatment and wash once a week or every 10days where i use a less intense conditioner and deep condition once a month. My go to style is a high puff or i wear wraps daily. I sleep in a satin bonnet....... WHAT on this green earth am i doing wrong and why am i seeing these coils all over the place? PLEASE PLEASE HELP!?

Denise Sophie: I've been struggling with my hair and this is worth trying

LittleNicole94: Patience and consistency are definitely my problems with my journey. But I try not to focus on getting long hair but being healthy and attuned to it. Also, can you do a video about styling gels and what to look for.

katie west: Hi there. I really appreciate the information you share. I was wondering if you've ever heard of Trichorrhexis Nodosa?. It's a condition that produces weak and brittle hair strands. It would be great to see a video about it as I think the information could help a lot of people.

J: This is great!, I'm not a beginner but I'm definitely going to share this video with a few family members of mine

ODEAN LAWRENCE: Your skin is just breath taking! So soooo beautiful!

Goa Way: Yes it does look like a bow. Very cute. Now if only I knew you so that you can help me with my hair. Takes me forever to twist mine up. Literally took me three hours yesterday. I also have a problem with my hair. The individual strands keep like thinning it separating, then they break off because the strand is so thin.

scella: I love your channel so much. Definitely not new, but you have so much valuable information.

Chats With Flo: Thank you for the great tips.

Life of Lex: I’m thirteen years old and I just started trying to really take care of my hair during quarantine and I have absolutely no idea what I’m doing.Ive done a lot of research and I have found out that o have low porosity hair and it my hair sheds a lot and I’ve been trying rice water for about a month now and it’s not working. Also I can’t find any gel that would slick down my hair and have absolutely no clue where to start!Im starting to think Ima be bald head forever

Shannon Havisham: Very kind, patient, and sweet. Thank you! I'm frustrated with my hair and I'm going to start with kindness.

o mcclain: You have the best knowledge about natural hair!! Very educational as this journey has been fun and enlightening for me...

EbonySweetness Sweetness: Thanks for another great video - you share such valuable information - I wondered if you had any advice for those with natural hair who like to swim - I want to progress beyond having a short natural hair my growth seems to have halted

Carol Wamsley: I'm not new to being natural, but I'm still working on purchasing a line of products right for my hair ! Do you have a video about silicones, and parabens? Love your videos ! I have learned so much from you ! Thank you

ISI.: I do wash and gos but after a day it goes into a bun. Less breakage and tangles and i don't have to fix it every day.

Asha Nichole: Please do a growth journey video! Thank you!

Lady M: I have to be honest, I'm tired of dealing with my hair. It's more work than I care for. I'm in a very dry climate and it's too much work. I have health issues that require me to visit different doctors so I'm manipulating my hair often. It's too short to try and twist constantly, especially with one of my issues being my right arm. I'm exhausted...

Rose O Ese: Thanks Green, I was kind of lost for a while, can you present a video on the best leave in conditioner for low porosity hair? For am still trying to sort that out. Thanks God bless you

ENO AFIA: Yh. Ur style is definitely a beautiful bow Thanks for the extra tips. I will be consistent then. I will love it if you could do a video for low porosity coarse strands. I realized I can't add water to my hair everyday just wash days (2x a week). My hair likes petroleum jelly as final sealant (I mix with my herbal whipped butter). Styles also work better after blowing out with medium and low heat usage.

Jade De Leon: Your voice is so calming and you have the best content

Melisa C: Great video! and yes your hairstyle at the end did look like a bow, cute and creative!!!

Toya Craig: I am a new natural and found your channel. I love it!! I would like to know what your wash day routine is like. Would you do a video? Thanks!!

888 888: I love this channel every information is needed

ez2bcute: Hello!!! I am wondering if you ever plan on re-stocking the real protein treatment in your online store? My hair loves it and I don’t want to use rice water again!

Cindy Christian: Wow! Your hair is so beautiful! Your length is my hair goals by the end of next year! Take care Dear!

Jackie Stevenson: Awesome advice thank you for the information

Brittany Washington: Could you do a video on how you know if your hair is moisturized & how do you know a product is working for you ? Thank you
