Hi guys welcome back to my channel, it's your girl, jen jay and we are basic af today. Today'S basic gen, no makeup gen natural gen. Oh i left this gem. I did my skincare. I did my hair so we're just going to chill today. I want to walk you through my wash day routine when i've been ignoring my hair. I don't know about you guys, but i can watch these videos for days and especially being a hair influencer, i'm constantly in my hair. So i like to take the time to give my hair what it needs. This is a game of patience, i'm not rushing through it. I have nowhere to go. I don't even need to style her, but i really want to give my hair some tender loving care because i've kind of been ignoring her. It'S been a month and a half since i washed my hair. So today i'm gon na go through my routine, and i hope that you do it as well, because i'm sure your hair could use some moisture, i'm just saying so. If you're interested then keep on watching before we get started, hr told me to let y'all know that you need to hit the subscribe button cis and the bell, so you get notified every single time. I upload a new video. Also follow me on instagram, where we chat. We chill. We talk about hair beauty makeup. So if that sounds like your thing, follow me over there alright. So it is time for us to do our hair, i'm kind of ashamed to say that it's been a while. I don't know if i remember how to do my hair anymore, because it's been over a month since i washed my hair. My scalp is disgusting. I can't even front so i need to spend basically the day taking care of my hair. I'Ve been kind of shoving. Her in this bonnet, which is really bad, i'm in a really good mood, though, to take care of my hair, so kind of excited, really we're going to start by pre-pooing. You guys already know. I have my oils in here so in here. I actually have a few oils. I have haitian black, castor oil. One of you guys sent me this bottle, so i'm really really happy that you did. I also have okay, don't judge me, okay, i don't want to hear it. I have the mainstream ancient egyptian anti-breakage and repair antidote. It'S basically an oil. The bottle looks a little crazy because i put it in hot water once so. That'S what happened. I also have a little bit of the innate life scalp treatment. I only have just a little bit left, so i kind of want to use it up and you know get rid of some products that i have just sitting here. So i'm going to use this on my scalp, like i said my scalp is not feeling really good, it's disgusting, so we're going to take care of it and you know what it happens. We don't have time to take care of our hair and it's okay. She'S gon na be just fine, i pre-poo on dry hair. I know some of you guys ask me a lot of the time. Can you use water etc? But personally from my understanding of pre-pooing, you want to coat your hair with an oil before you get in the shower. So if you go ahead and add water to your hair first, then water and oil repel each other, so the oil is going to act more as a sealant versus you want to use the oil in your hair before you get in the shower one, so that You can coat your strands so that you know you don't have as much stripping in the shower when you do end up washing your hair and also too, you want the oils to be able to penetrate your hair, so you can benefit from the oils so using Water is not the best approach, although you can do whatever you want. I can understand, especially with forcey hair. It can be difficult managing your hair dry, basically, what i'm doing right now having to go through my hair, while it's dry is not easy and it's a little time consuming, especially if you ignored your hair for the past month and a half, then it becomes more Difficult, but i really take my time another reason why i pre-poo is to take away shedded hair, so i kind of go through and pull the shedded hair that way. So if i go and i wet my hair, then everything is going to get shrunken up tangled with each other. So it's going to make it even worse for me later on, so this video, i think it's coming at the right time, just because i uploaded uh how to detangle natural hair and in that video i kind of mentioned how i go about detangling, my natural hair Step by step, as i go through my wash day routine, which is basically what i'm doing right now, this video is basically going to show you exactly how i do it right. So i really take my time and separate my hair, like this. Over and over and over, and as i do that all of the shedded hair is coming out, and this is basically what you don't want to go in the shower with. I don't really take my time to make sure that the section is thoroughly detangled. That'S not really the point, but i do make sure to remove some of those shedded hair and also coat my hair, especially my ends with a good amount of oil. So this is definitely going to take me a little while, because you know my hair is very much matted and shrunken and in the worst possible state. But i think it's a good thing that this is happening. So i can really show you guys how i go through my hair and take care of her after i've been ignoring her. You know, i know i haven't been spending a lot of time with my hair. I got ta make sure i do it now when handling a natural hair. You know, there's no corners, you can try to postpone it, the more you do, the longer or the harder it becomes for you as long as you take the time to take care of it. When you are taking care of it, then you should be okay like right. Now i'm not trying to rush through this process at all, because you know i know what i did and it's not a lot of hair that's coming out, but i have to make sure that i take those out. So one of the main things that i do is stretch my hair, so i'm literally just pulling my hair with my fingers gently. Obviously my hair has a tendency of shrinking a lot on itself. So when i'm managing her that way, i kind of try to stretch her out with my fingers and then separate it bit by bit and as i do that this is when i can really remove the shedded hairs. So typically, i wouldn't recommend you ignoring your hair for that long, especially as long as i have done it. It just makes the whole thing more difficult. You really have to go through your hair and it's extremely shrunken state, but there are times when it does happen. You know we don't always have time to care for our hair. The way that we want to when it does happen. This is how you care for your hair, natural hair. Just it's! You need consistent care. Okay, i'm gon na tell you all the good tips that you should use, but i don't always do them. For example, my hair is literally like super dry right now prevent your hair from getting extremely dry, no matter what you do, because when it gets to this point, it's so it's much more difficult to take care of it like i could literally pre-poo in, like 20 Minutes on a good day, but today's probably gon na take me an hour, so we're done pre-pulling, okay! I guess i should show you no! No! I don't want to take out. You know i don't need to take off this bag. Okay, all right! So here it is, you can see my hair in the back a little bit. Basically, i did a ton of small little sections just because my hair was in such bad shape and i needed to go through my hair and it's a little bit more difficult for me to do that when my hair is extremely matted. So i did smaller sections, which means that when i do wash my hair, i'm gon na have to go through each one of these sections, but it's okay. I have the day to spend with my hair, so yeah i'm going to let that sit for about half an hour or an hour an hour and a half two hours who's. Checking for me, i don't know i mean. Are you really washing your hair in the shower? If you don't have music on that's the real question? First thing i do when i get in the shower is wet my hair and because my scalp was feeling really really bad. I actually went in and put the shampoo in my scalp first went around the parts and then i went ahead and shampoo each of my little knots one by one. Yes, i sure did girl. I don't put shampoo on my strands. I go ahead and put it only on my scalp and then i go ahead and scrub. My scalp, with the tip of my fingers as i do, that the shampoo does run down the strand of my hair and that's how my entire head gets washed. As soon as i hop in the shower. I realized that it wouldn't be a bad thing to time how long it took me to do this, just because i get that question a lot. People think that it's just too much so i decided to time it as i go through my hair. I continue to finger detangle, removing shedded hair and once i'm done with a knot, i put it into a twist. It took me less than half an hour to shampoo my hair and then moving on to a dip conditioner. The one i'm using is by curls, because i find that it's not as hydrating as i would like it to be. I go ahead and add a little bit of oil. It'S the same oil that i use when i was pre-pooing, go ahead and put the dip conditioner. All over my hair, i continued to separate my hair finger. Detangle remove shaded hair, and then i put my hair back into a twist taking care of my hair in the shower is one of my favorite things to do when i'm in the mood i am in the mood, don't call me don't text me, don't ask me For nothing because your girl is in the shower washing this voicey hair, hey, hey, hey! It'S next day. I should have detangled and washed out the dip conditioner last night, but i just didn't. I don't have an excuse. I didn't do it, but we're gon na. Do it right now, a lot of people say not to leave your deep conditioner overnight, especially if you have high porosity hair, but i don't listen to what people say. I just do what my hair likes and my hair seems to honestly be okay with it. The reason why you shouldn't leave conditioners in your hair overnight, they say it's because of hydro fatigue, but look at this listen. My hair is feeling so good to the point that i can halfway detangle with my fingers and i'm here for it all right. So we are going to detangle finish detangling our hair, because if you notice we've kind of been detangling every little step of the way - and this is what i always recommend you do, especially if you have like thick 4c hair just detangle little by little and your Hair should be happy. It should make it a lot easier to detangle. If you do it like that, also because we did our sections fairly small, it's making it even easier to detangle it's hard when you are working with the sections at first. So when you're, creating the sections and also washing your hair, you kind of hate it but towards the end, you're, actually quite happy that you did them your hair thanks you, your sanity, thanks you, everyone is happy. Now you see how easy it is for me to detangle this horsey hair. You see that. Did you see this girl, so i'm going to put my hair into these twists and then i'll rinse out the dip conditioner afterwards and my hair feels so good. Ah she's back y'all, she is back. I know i abused you girl, but you know it's all love, it's all love coming for me. This is actually going by super fast once you detangle every step of the way. It just makes this actual step so much easier. You'Re not fighting with your hair you're friends at this point. For me, this part of my head, the very crown, is always much much much more matted tangled, but i'm actually able to detangle it with no problem. Look at that halfway done and i'm pretty sure it's been like 10 minutes so oops i am done. Oh, oh, wait. What is this? Did i not did i do this? One. Did i legit just leave a whole section? Oh my god, jennifer my bad y'all. Oh, she feels so good. She is giving me life. You can't talk to me any kind of way. Okay, when my hair is moisturized, miss jackson for y'all, one thing i'm going to do, which is a little taboo. I am going to dust my ends, so we have the expensive pair of sheers we're going to whip her out and by dusting your ends. It basically means cutting a very, very small amount of hair. So it's not quite a trim. It'S called a dust so you're. Just really going through and taking the smallest amount, so, for example, if you're looking at this uh this strand, let me let me let me pull you in it's feeling good, but there's that little tiny bit of you see this. There'S no reason for her to hang out with us, so basically i'm taking that much off. That'S not a lot of hair, so i'm actually gon na go through and take the smallest amount just to really maintain my ends. That'S basically what dusting is so if you're, not a big fan of trimming your ends, if you feel like the word trimming, it just gives you a little bit of anxiety. That is something you can do you see this like. This is basically what i'm going to get rid of. I had a trim not too long ago, so i don't technically knit a trim, but when it comes to maintaining your hair, that's always in i'm only doing this because one i've been ignoring my hair and two. I just want to maintain her a little bit and there we go. Did i lose a lot of hair? No, is it noticeable? It really isn't, but would this help my hair get stronger? It sure will i love it when my hair feels like this all right. So, let's get down to business! This is the amount of hair that i just dusted off. Nothing to cry over. This is the amount of hair that i shed. I like showing you these type of things, because i think we obsess so much about breakage. So this is how much hair came out when i was detangling my hair. This is how much hair came out when i was detangling in the shower, and this is how much hair came out when i was pre-pooing and i'm sorry if that grosses you out girl, i understand so all in all. This is my hairball for about a month and two weeks of not taking care of my hair. This is where we cross the line. You'Re not gon na go all over the floor. That'S what you're not gon na do my scalp looks good. This is basically what we want when we care for our hair. So now i'm going to rinse this out and i'm gon na come back and moisturize my hair all right. So we are basically almost done. It'S been a long journey but honey. My hair feels so good, and you know it's like self-care. I took my time. Did my skincare did my hair care, self-care, baby self-care so to moisturize my hair today i am going to be using an lgbt goodie. You almost be so tired of me talking about the same products, but honestly, that's how i am once i find products that works for my hair, i kind of like stick to them. I appreciate products that i can always go back to, especially for days like this. When i kind of been ignoring my hair and now i really want to moisturize and give her all of the goodies that i can give her, i'm a natural product, i've been using the living conditioner for a really really long time and also they're butters. I'Ve been using both of them for a long time. So that's what i'm going to be using today to moisturize my hair. Ah, i love it when my hair is just happy, it makes me happy, so we are going to moisturize and leave her in the twist. Okay, you're just trying to act up because i'm filming a video, that's what you're trying to do. Oh, yes, yes, oh having my hair, nice and moisturized like this, makes me happy, and this is how you know. Shrinkage is not something you should be running away from. Shrinkage is a sign that your hair is healthy and happy. Let'S add a little some slime on these ends. So how are you guys doing on your hair journey? How are things going talk to me? Let me know what you are struggling with. Let me know: what's going on, leave a comment down below if you have any particular videos that you want me to make that will help you on your journey. Oh the sun is killing my video. It'S been a cloudy day all day, but now the sun wants to come out. As soon as i sit down we're done. I am not styling her. I have no intention of doing anything. I'M just gon na. Let her be low-key, chill stay moisturized. I will probably put her in a little bun on top of my head, that's kind of like my i'm chilling at home. Look! Okay! Don'T ask me to go nowhere. That'S the vibe! That'S how i take care of my hair. Oh, you know what i will probably use a little oil on my edges. I wish you guys could touch it. I wish you could touch her. She just she feels good and just like that, we are done. I know this, isn't a hairstyle take care of myself. Take care of my hair self-care chill type day today. I hope that you guys enjoyed this video. If you did don't forget to give me a thumbs up and leave a comment below. Let me know what kind of videos that you want to see, and i will see you in my next one bye. I need to give you guys a whole skin update. Actually, because i don't know, i have one side of my face that just wants to disrespect me every single day and i hate it anyway. This is not what this video is about. I know, but i just had to tell somebody. Okay, i'm highly upset you

Toya N M Smith: I love how authentic your content is!!

MaryLouise Crosdale: Oh I'm an old woman who stumbled upon hair videos. I was amazed! Only now I'm learning about hair and how it should be treated. I noticed every one has long flowing hair, "see how it bounces" they say. Then I came across your videos, I am beginning to follow your easygoing step by step thanks Jenn you're showing your grandmother how to take care of her ?4F hair-very damaged, very grey, very short!

Yolanda Jennings: I love watching you pre poo and detangle your hair. It’s really therapeutic! Your hair looks so nice and healthy!

Cassidy Joseph: I love that you show how much shedding you had in a wash day I literally cringe every time I see some hair fall out of my head but this reassured me that it’s normal as long as it’s not an excessive amount

KC Wilder: I luv seeing an influencer who's hair actually looks like my hair

Justyne B: You’ve taught so much important stuff about how to take care of hair and give it the live it deserves so thank you for that your content is so informative and is also entertaining as well ❤️

Immaculata: I enjoyed this so much. I love watching others do this. Especially when they take their time.❤ You're so beautiful toooo!

Donna Grant: You have taught me so much about my 4c hair. When my hair was matted and I couldn’t comb I had to get locs. The locs been gone and I have to deal with my hair but thanks to you, I know what to do and my hair is growing . I truly thank you for these videos .

KeweKrazyKool: Like you’re legit my best friend in my head lol! I thoroughly enjoy watching your vids and learn so much! For once...a TRUE 4C guide...THANK YOU so much!!!!

BriGotHart: I’m struggling with single strand knots and split ends! Whenever I trim my hair it seems like I’m not doing it correctly or not trimming enough off I will keep trying tho I’ve also been pre-pooing the last two wash days and keeping everything in sections so we’ll see how that helps as I continue that habit. My grandma actually used to give me a pre-poo treatment every week when I was relaxed in middle school and my hair was so healthy! Idk why we stop the good things

Tyrona Alston: I so love your energy. I watched your video on how to trim my ends and Sis!!!!! It worked. The dead ends had to go! I’ve been on the natural hair journey for 4 months. I have 4C hair so you’ve been my inspiration. Thanks girl!

Eseoghene Oghenetega: I love how detailed this video is!!...my hair lacks volume and I’ve tried different things but they don’t seem to be working...I’ve been retaining length a bit these days which was also a struggle but I can’t seem to unlock making my hair full

KAMULAH KITT: Prepooing is so important especially after protective styles. I usually wash my hair every 2-3 weeks but I don't add a lot of products besides on wash day. I thought I was shedding a lot of hair on wash days but I see from your video it is normal. Keep these videos coming!

dor462: This video was much needed for me, really boosted my motivation to actually start wash day after postponing <3 I've been able to cut down on my wash days by some hours which is amazing. I've noticed during these quarantine months that my head has been single-strand knots galore which has been a struggle

Thembani Shiburi: Miss Jackson I touched her digitally, she does feel good , I love this video and that you literally have our backs as to what to do when we have been ignoring her to revive her back to life thanks sis Jenn how long do styles generally last? And how do you keep them alive for maybe like a full week so you can slay, without re-doing them during the week, while moisturizing her still ? Styles like the flat twist out, bantu knot out, that one sided frohawk twist out you did?

Dominique reece: I just love watching jen take care of her hair. I dusted my hair today just bcz u did lol but youve helped me alot sis and we both have fine 4c hair i just thoroughly enjoy videos like these

Terrelle Ncube: omw we are definitely in the same boat .. I've had my hair in braids cause I've just gt so lazy to deal with it !! thank u so much for this video! its definitely gna help when I do decide to deal with my hair

lilileilei1: Thank you for "schooling" me on how to care for my nappy hair. My hair journey has begun thanks to you...I'll be stoked if my hair can actually grow...

TheDivineFeline: I agree that watching you do your hair is relaxing. I usually twist my hair up when I prepoo but I get lazy and I don't retwist it to shampoo, apply my ayurvedic mask, or to deep condition but now I think I will start doing that. I have been enjoying wash day since I have been regulary preepooing, using scalp scrubs, doing hot oil treatments, and ayurvedic masks.

Sylvia Nyakundi: I have just received my motivation to take care of my mane Thank you JennJ!! You are such a doll and your hair is beautiful. Love your vibes.

Mya Douglas: I enjoy watching you take care of your hair Jenn because it inspires me to also take care of my 4c hair♥️ Tomorrow is wash day for meAnd I've recently started preepooing because of u and it's working wonders for my hair

Mia: I honestly didn't take care of my hair. I've been natural for two years and I thought I was suppose to ignore my hair☠️. My hair stayed in braids and sew ins, wigs etc. I didn't learn my hair and I got growth but I didn't get the growth I want. You're the first person I've seen with hair like mine and now I'm learning I need to take better care of it. So I'm going to try now☠️

Christine Igiewe: Yes a hair video that I needed!! Thanks Jenn!! Love your content!

thandee mhlongo: I love it when you refer to your hair as *she* ..... she is thick and healthy #self-love

Rita Cunningham: My hair care journey is going great. My hair is more moisturized than ever before and all my styles are popping. Lol

Elang Basuhi: Glowing Jenn! I thought during the whole lockdowns it would be an opportunity to wash my hair every week NOT!!!

HeCooCoo4CoCo: New subbie and I am in love! Glad to see true 4 hair Every video is so detailed and informative. Thank you

MatchaTea: Sadly dry detangling causes me breakage because of my nails, I just go ahead and put a deep conditioner in there and then detangle. I need that slip

NacRee A.: I've been having the same issue with my skin as well. Based on my endless research everything points to compromised skin barrier. A gentle cleanser, niacinamide serum, hyaluronic acid serum and moisturiser like Cera ve moisturising cream or first aid Beauty ultra repair cream can really help (don't forget spf at daytime). Stay away from any chemical/physical exfoliation for a good 3 weeks or so before incorporating an active and you should see an improvement. It worked for me. Hope it does for you, good luck

Nicole Zyle: JJ!!girl I loved every video,I just love the fact that we have the same hair type, well I hope lol,I am in my 7months hair transitioning, and girl,am still learning, thanks for the lovely video, am all the way from eSwatini (Swaziland )

Cosmiccat: Your hair looks so full and beautiful!

Michelle Watkins: Thank you so much for sharing ❤️ ....I really appreciate you sharing how much hair you shed (and sharing the time frame since your last wash day). I found that really helpful. Please keep the videos coming ❤️

Sheryl Scott: Very informative! I've been with you a long time and you're always on point. Thanks Jenn!

miniminott48: I sooo enjoyed this video...really relaxing. Your hair is so moisturized and long. I can't wait to attain your hair length. I big chopped a year and 5 months ago and my hair is only in the 8 to 9 inch range.

AllMy FavouriteThings: Really really enjoyed this. Our hair is so similar. Density length everything

Crombie's World: I promise you are my hair twin. I have being trying to learn how to care for my natural hair and I think I have found the perfect place!

Joyce Powell: I watched your how to moisturize 4c hair a few weeks back and it really put me on a path of better caring for my own 4c hair. It was a step that I had overlooked when I did my big chop right after New Year’s Day. Thank so much.

Willeneful: Glad to see it isnt always easy and is okay to take your time

Hou ston: I just started doing prepoo after watching your videos and damn does it make a difference along with sectioning your hair when you wash it. My hair was pulled out and clean but it didnt feel stripped. Thanks so much.

mswtaz94: Wow, that’s a long time. I’m feeling guilty for not doing my normal wash on the fourth day. I’m definitely washing it today after seeing this. For me, not shampooing after a week is ignoring it lol.

Siphokazi Dingiswayo: I absolutely love dry detangling, it's been so good to my hair and I get way less breakage than when I prepoo and detangle with a conditioner and my hair is wet

Con Hun: Jenn J is the best of the best! Your hair and skin look amazing sis.

Nubian ntando: I just followed your trimming tutorial planning on taking part in your winter protective style challenge even though I'm heading to summer down here wish me luck

Kay Seminomadic: I do a similar routine in between styles. It is important to have these type of videos which show how to give your hair a break.

D K: I’m so glad my cousin referred me to your channel. We are hair twins but you actually take care of your hair haha lol. I’m learning a lot and my kids are watching these videos too.

Camille Bridge: I just gave birth and completely ignored my hair. It didn't move. I had asked my followers on ig to come do my hair lmao I feel ya girl. Great video. Bff in my head. in the building, Toronto!

Katrina Crawford: Your so inspiring thanks boo God bless you in all areas of life

Japeria Williams: Such a realistic hairball!! Thanks for showing!

Rachel Dunn: come through consistent content!!! we love itttt

Enn Vee: Sis a month and a half? You have such easy hair my scalp would be smelling and yelling at me if I wait past 2 weeks

Armami A.: Your hair looks exactly like mine. Hair twin!! A nice DIY deep conditioner with avocado, honey, banana and some oils works magic for me when I’ve neglected it and it’s extra dry!

vnikyt: This is me every 6 weeks. So lucky I don’t get itchy scalp lol

UsainaBolt: Please don't stop filming wash day routines! I know you have a few on your channel, but I just love watching them. And I am sure I am not the only one ^^

Debola Fatade: What can I do to stop my hair from thinning ? Also your wash day is very satisfying :)

Aya S.: Honestly seeing your hairball made me feel SO much better!

Janainna Ribeiro: Um alô do Brasil diva linda!

Sharon Manlove: My natural hair journey, well, I just hit 1 year. I'm not altogether loving the natural thing yet. I keep it in protective styles because I'm not sure what to do with it in the natural state. Yes, it takes 4ever to wash, condition, etc. Oh well, I plan to keep at it. Oh, I forgot to mention that I haven't cut my perm out yet, so I have the stringy ends. I can see that my natural is growing really well.

Florizella Thompson: OMG, my hair looks exactly like yours with those knots, it’s just fine hair so I feel like it’s worse. Thank you for doing the video.

psr076: Well I know we all have ignored our hair at least once... Life happen.. I bought the innatelife hair treatment since watching your video on the brand. I bought it for my mom first and then I sample it. I needed my own container.

DDJ My3sons: Your Transparency is everything. Loving the skin/hair your in.

E.D AND FAMILY: I love how you keep it real

Cup Cake: I use the African Pride oil for a hot oil pre-poo. I mist my hair, apply the oil, put on a plastic cap and top it off with my hot head cap. Seems to work okay.

QueenCharles: If I don't wash my hair every 1-2 weeks, my face starts to feel gross and I feel like I'm going to break out. So, my face is my constant reminder and I can't ignore it. And yes. Music is a must on wash day..lol

digthewarmth: Hair twin! I love juicy twists after a good TLC session too! :D

slim 788: ❤ the energy. I use cantu kids leaving conditioner + olive oil to preepoo[ detangle]. I do the overnight thou. I get the best slip with this combo. I have high density .course 4c hair and it works.

Natural.musical Abi: Skipped wash day on Sunday, hair ended up In a really cute hairstyle anyway But I'm washing at the end of the week, i promiiiiise, it's been a month since I washed Fluffy Keilly(thats her name) . The scalp Is okay but I'll still wash anyway I love you because you're so transparent and your content is always on point

Thapelo Nyathi: For me a video that can help on my hair journey retaining length and moisture and having a clean scalp without spending so much money

Elicia Allen: This video was so helpful. Thanks Jenn

Tashou17: Love how detailed you are on your videos will you be doing the protective hairstyles challenge this winter? Like you last year @jenn jackson

Jacqui N.: I neglected my hair for a month then prepooed it a week ago and was supposed to wash it the next morning.... That didn’t happen So I’m just washing it today and giving it some much needed love

HumbleGirly: Lol I'm just like you, I feel like I've conquered the world when I treat and moisturize my hair and swing my twists back and forth feeling all juicy and whatnot.

LoverofmySoul: You for real Ms. Jackson. I can see the snap your hair, how it moved etc, I could practically feel the softness. I agree it's best to leave our hair care until we're in a good mood. Otherwise our poor hair will be abused.

SHE McG: Real nice, Jenn! ✨❤️

Marquette Sadler: I really enjoyed this video! Love your texture and your accent. I dust my ends the exact same way.

NaturallyPaige_: I need to take time to do this soon

Sarab McCaskil: Awesome as always Jen!

T R: i never did a pre poo but i might incorporate it next time i wash! you hair looks so healthy. can you tell me the type of headwrap u had on? it didn’t look like a regular towel. thanks !

Deborah O: Gurl your hair looks great as always... I have major issues with Fairy knots/single strand knots they are the bane to my existence lol... Any tips on preventing them?

AmoyaE: I just purchased the imonatural coconut leave in conditioner & the imonatural vanilla buttercream body & hair cream. I plan to try them for the first time on my 4c hair sometime this week after I wash & condition it.

Nalaluvmelo: You are so easy to watch and listen to ..and then there’s others

Sound Reign: Yup my hair was exactly this this weekend, had to shampoo 3 times . What do you do for protein treatment, if you do those?

Charlotte Roberts: I have incorporated pre poo first and I am enjoying it.

KC: Hair journey is going well just would like to see more growth towards the front of my head. Need a bonnet like that in my life where did you get it? Have you ever done yarn twists?

Ali Vee: Love the content it's so helpful. Do u have any opinions on the Cantu products. I cut my hair shortish half a year ago (after going to a salon and them doing everything for me) and dealing with it myself has been confusing. Especially on what to use and when, I've started using Cantu but dont knowing theres anything better I could be using.

Mrsdevsgirl: Going through your videos and realise I never saw this one and commented. So here I am making sure I'm keeping up with my fav natural.

Tracey Cedoit: I plan on getting the ez detangling brush to minimize breakage & I plan on making my own hair moisterizer with shea & mango butter & aloe vera & my hair oil mixture to keep my hair moisterized & put away for the upcoming fall & winter ..... & I might buy some botin .

Senzo Mlilo: We’ve all been there sis great video

mizztotal: It's so funny my face is breaking out exactly the same as yours mostly on that one side of my face and on my chin. But I don't usually break out much at all. And I don't have to go out wearing a mask very often. It started a little over a month ago and I couldn't figure out why. I was trying to get rid of dark spots and i think I might have irritated my skin barrier (from some articles I read). So for now I'm just being gentle with my face and patient until the skin barrier heals and it goes away on its on.

Amber Black: Alright Ms.Jackson show us that moisture.

Black AN: Literally the ONLY youtuber i miss I usually spritz with warm water then add pre-poo oil. Put 2 plastic bags and a fleece beanie. And pre-poo over night...

Christine Wasike: Love it all!

Christine Wasike: Love it all!

Theresa Williams: Yes, I too have been rockin the bonnet longer than I should. Going to take your advice and Netflix, chill and detangle

Zarah Abubakar: When I part my hair in 2 halves, the left part of my hair is much longer than the right part,I don't know what to do

BlackWomanThings: loved You ave SO MUCH hair! I feel like you have to have the strongest arms cus my hair is a few inches and they hurt on wash day

jahmai holland: I absolutely can not use water to detangle it shrinks way too much and tangles back instantly and I’m high porosity so it gets wet quick and dry quick. I do what naptural85 said years ago, saturate with coconut oil then saturate with conditioner, BEST combo. And the water based product doesn’t shrink my hair as much as water alone would

Chelsea Alfinete: I just love watching your videos ❤️hugs from Mozambique ❤️

Phylicia: Great video!

Katlego Makua: Should we pre-poo on every wash day?

Ciera Love: Curly Chemistry has a really good video on why you should use oils instead of conditioner for prepoo and pretty much why you should not wet your hair first
