Hey guys welcome back to my channel!! Make sure you like , comment , and subscribe for more videos!! Sorry for not posting in a bit, I’ve been busy but I’m back! Make sure to follow me on Instagram and Twitter @skaijackson

See you next week!

Hey guys, it's guys so welcome back to my channel, I'm so sorry I have not uploaded in a little bit. I just been really sick. I remember how I said I was like sick two months ago, I'm still sick, but I'm getting better. So now I'm able to upload and record more videos, so my hair is not done and I'm sorry if you can hear my mom talking in the background, my hair is not done, but I'm going to show you guys how to do a split back, ponytail on Or C hair now a lot of people there's a lot of controversy will tie controversy on my last 4c hair tutorial on my topknot burn that I did and thank you guys for over a million views on that and literally a couple days um. But I clearly stated in the video that my hair is 4c. Yes, but did I blow-dry? Yes, literally what I said - and I don't know if you guys think you didn't pay attention so when I said that, but I did blow-dried my hair and my hair is still bowed right now, but it's my hair texture, 4c. Yes, it is, and it has always been 4c and it's not for a it's not for P. It is for C but anyways. If you want to see how I do my slicked-back ponytail, I'm literally about to go out the house, I was like I'm not so I'll, just record this, so I'm going to anyways. If you want to see me, do this tutorial, then keep on watching make sure you like comment and subscribe for more videos and make sure you guys get my book reach for the sky out now you can get it on Amazon. You go to Barnes Noble as Barnes numbers online target, targeting stores, literally everywhere and tagging in pictures, if you pop my book and yeah, so let's get into this video okay, so my hair is a mess right now. This is like an old barn that HAP. So I'm going to take my hair out, so what you're going to need for this tutorial is a big rubber band like one of those really big ones, you can get from CBS or whatever store, but else you would need a lot of bobby pins. I, at least I do you need gel, which I'm going to show you the gel I use for my hair, because a lot of gels don't work for 4c hair or we feel like it flakes up really bad like really really bad and it's no fun at All I hate when my hair gets all flaky. I realize I put this money pins in my hair, but I know I said the in the last tutorial that I was gon na try to make it short you guys you guys are like oh well. The video was like 20 minutes long and I'm like I know, but it doesn't actually take me 20 minutes to do the hairstyle, it's a very short easygoing, hairstyle and, like I said, I'm sorry because you're talking in the back cuz, that is my mom um. Okay. So this is my hair and I do this hairstyle with my OOP another petal see. I told you guys in my last tutorial that my hair just swallows up pins, and I know right now my hair is dirty. So I do this hairstyle out. My hair is dirty; this is just really easy, and so what, if I put more product in it, because it's a that's wash anyways, so the first thing I use is this: a hundred percent pure natural grapeseed oil. You can get this, I don't know if you can see it, but you can get this from Amazon. You can get this wherever you want to get it. You don't need to use grapeseed oil. You can use any natural oil. So I'm going to apply this all over my hair and really that ends too because Jo tends to dry your hair out. My hair is looks a mess like I said it is dirty. I have not combed it in a really long time like over a week. Just because I don't like to comb my hair, when I'm not doing anything, I like to just let it be putting all the hair product there and what time this just to make sure every little piece it's covered and good. So now I ready to my middle part, which does not have to be perfect. Lily does not have to be perfect and I'm gon na use a brush that looks like this to smooth my hair down and the rubber band I'll be using. Is one of these really long ones, but I loop it and go like this to make it a bigger, regular sized rubberband. So, okay, let me go. Let me put y'all on real quick, so I discovered this stuff when one of my hairstylist, who usually does my hair for events, use this like slaking gel for my hair and it's called Alaska. I think it's elastic. U P bonus 50 % more glaze conditioning shining, Jo, so I'm gon na show you guys this. This stuff, literally, is the best, and I say that, because it looks very like if it would get chunky, I don't know if you guys guys try to make you guys. You see it looks like as if it would get chunky and stuck in your hair, and you still have to wash it after. You know this stuff, literally, you can put as much as you need on it and over time this dissolves. It turn it dissolves into like a oil, but it still holds your sleek ponytail. Don'T know how, but basically it kind of like molds, your hair to how you want and sleek it down and then, when the gel, whatever dissolves it's still there. Another thing I use is this has been around for a while, but the amp pro pro style, gel I've been using this, I get it from and it's just a super hold one. I usually don't use this one um. What I'm doing my sleek ponytail? I usually just do this one, but because my hair is so dirty, I do need an extra hold, so what I'm gon na do is put some of it. I already have my middle part. I'M just gon na place it on my hair and when I use the QP gel and take a big scoop. This is like really thick and jelly and apply it. So obviously it looks white and disgusting which is more brine and also it's because my hair is dirtier that it should be well not should it be, but it's just dirty, so I start to move the shape pick the rest. I took a lot of this stuff. Cuz it just holds my sleeve, you wanna make sure you get the back. I'M sorry! If I'm looking this way, cuz I'm looking into my humanity mirror. This side is always hard for me to brush just because it's my left side and I'm not left-handed someone put as much gel in my hair so thick. So sometimes it's nerve-racking like brushing it mind you. I don't do this yourself all the time, so I don't want to hear oh you're gon na rip your edges or tear your hair out. I don't do this here. So all that's right. I do this hair styled my hair blow-dried and then gets dirty and I'll go dry. My hair that often mmm and like we're 2020, I'm not gon na add any more heat to it. So no more blow-drying or anything for me so literally looks wet, looks what I'm just gon na keep pushing until you're satisfied you're like me, and I do more brushing like wallets and a ponytail. So I think I got it as smooth as I can for writing. No, no don't push it down. My mom done putting more gel anything, I'm just for now who look so clear, so I want to take that big rubber band, I'm gon na twist it like this and then grab it and pull and then I'm going to smell. This is the most important part getting it really selective. So I think this is pretty good, but I like to do sorry, I'm like really concentrated so I'm gon na pull and slick, pull and slick and, like I said, I'm not done applying more gel. I'M just done until I get it, and now this is a hardest part cuz. I hear some thick, so this alright and then you're gon na do a ponytail. My dad is quick, as I can cuz make it so thick, but I can't always get it fully and then I'm gon na push it up this like if I'm gon na put it in a pony, a bun or ponytail, make sure it stays my brother until It looks like I don't even know if it looks somewhat good but I'll fix in a minute, then I'm gon na put some pins so hold it because just the ponytail, if it's not energy big spill, it's not fully secured. So I'm putting it up got any loose hairs that are sticking out because you can't fully push it through, because if not it's gon na just come out like a ponytail. So push that up and I'm using as many pins as I like, like a lot just because this pen, whatever I just put in my head first, let's find this whatever um so just putting a lot of pins cuz, I don't mean my hair coming out or Anything so now that it's molded fits pretty good, something in here you got put pins too far up now, I'm just gon na take my my gel the clear one and sit all over, and sometimes in the Hat you wan na make sure you get it all. The word like even towards the back, I need to the brow and if you feel like it can't get tighter, but I do as ice with it like the back for influence like back here. I'D smooth it down and then I take one of the clothes pins and pin it weird didn't wear needs to be there. We go so now, I'm going to brush it, some more so really smooth it out and get it high want to get it, and I usually put one side. So that's where my hair, like flanks up and always gets a really messy. Quick is the side especially like this part here, and if you want you, click for the pin, you might do it a little bit extra and I'll do my best later now. This might seem like a lot but, like I said, the clear gel dissolves, so it turns into like a oil base. So it's not gon na stay this hard right. Look this hard later, but I did apply the brown gel this hill. Something couldn't stay like something else can stay and yeah. This is my last hope, and I just put this and then I put a little bit of oil, so my hair somewhat getting oiled up because jealous started drying. The point where my hair looks wet and now to keep this hold. What I do is put a scarf on and I use a scarf. I don't care about because you can get oil and all this mess in it. So I like to put it on my hair and wrap it up see the oil is ready. It'S the way through, and I like to keep this bond for as long as I can, or right until right before I leave the house. So I keep this on and I will come back to you guys when my hair is fully set inside lacy. Just a little piece hanging out and now I'm gon na show you guys what my hair looks like we're. Gon na put my scarf on back on. After this, but I just wanted to show you guys - this is what my hair looks like. So the pin is fine. Now I tell you my hair, swallows pins and like spits them out, it's not perfect, but it's pretty good. I usually don't do like any baby hairs or anything, but I do see a little bit. It miss tends to come out more on this side, but I'm gon na add just a little bit more gel and then place my scarf on. But basically, this tutorial is done. So if you liked it make sure you like comment subscribe, let me know - and I hope them more videos for you guys. My cameras also die. I'M sorry I'm trying to wrap this up, but this is pretty simple and let me know if you guys try it and tag me in your videos. Anyways see you guys next week, bye

strawberry scented tears: I love your hair Skai. So beautiful Some people believe that your hair isn’t 4c because it looks extra thick & long. A message to all of you naysayers: you think her hair isn’t 4c because most of y’all think that 4c is raggedy, complicated, & unable to grow. My hair is 4b/4c & really short because I big chopped it. However, with the right maintenance, patience, and strategy to take care of your hair, you too will be able to have long & full hair. I hate that you guys think that all 4c hair is unable to grow. You might see it around people you see everyday, but not everybody has the same hair. Just try taking care of your hair more often & you will see a huge change.

chanelle gyimah: give a like if skai just lookf good in everything

Kai Love: Skai is the most classiest yet relatable teen I’ve ever seeennnnn

Sierra Rivers: Heyy skaii, first time watching here. Your hair is so beautiful i also have 4c hair but certain products works best for me. But i love how you actually upload videos like this

Love you Skai ❤️

Kaila Polite: I wear my hair like this everyday to school. It's easy, not time consuming, and can go with any outfit no matter how fancy or underdressed you are. When my hair was natural and curly I broke my ends off which means one side is longer than the other. But its only noticible when I straighten it and put it in a high pony. Which I don't ever do for that reason. So i'm wearing my hair straight now and i'm still rocking this hairstyle. I broke my hair off because I was being lazy and would comb my hair out every 3 days. I know how to take care of it now. But I keep it straight now cause it just makes my life easier. Especially cause I have to get up everyday at 5:20 for school.

Chinasa King: y’all really be under people’s videos tryna tell them their hair type. as soon as y’all see a little curl it can’t be 4c??

Ebony Painter: Can you do a twist out Skai? I would love to see one!! And people stay telling people what type of hair they have!!! 4c hair in itself looks different for textures, density and lengths !! I love my natural 4c hair. All 4c naturals hair is not coarse . If your hair isn’t coarse they will say it’s not 4c.

yinthecancer: Nobody: Skai: steals room decor from train station

poku piku: Shes so honest about her hair!! I love it!

Lee Aime: We need more videos like this!

Jojo Uche: Y’all are annoying saying that she doesn’t have 4C. You do know that density and texture (fine, medium and coarse) can impact the pattern of the hair . Stop telling her what is or is not her hair

Synese Robinson: I’ve been trying to find a gel that’s thick enough to lay my 4c hair down without making it revert too much. This one seems to be interesting.

Goddess: She really representing the 4c community

Re Te: My hair is incredibly thick. I can do that slick hair thing, but when I do it my hair gets super wavey, so it leaves spaces and over time just tugs back up slowly

Paige Porter: Skai’s out here straight glowing

Stella Soler: how in the hell did this girl grow up so fast like me watching jessie im like oh she so small then i asked siri how old she was.....SHE OLDER THAN MEEE

Madi: She looks FLAWLESS w no makeup on

Tiffanies69: My daughter love skai . Thanks for the video my baby has 4c hair and it’s such a task

Renee Moni: I have 4c hair too and I don’t see many youtubers who make 4c hair tutorials, so thank you for the vid !! And I will def be trying out that gel you mentioned b/c I’m tired of the flakes haha

camryn: “and I do my hairstyle with- oop another pin” i felt that

22 Shades of Pink: Why 190 people disliked this video It is amazing and empowering! U go Skai

Heather Hargrow: I knew exactly what she was gonna say as soon as I saw that white jar and black lid it really is a great gel, it’s like the grown up version of Let’s Jam/Shine n’ Jam but less sticky and the scent is a little more mature to me. Love it and love this video ❤️

Shayla: I love that you did t feel the need to do baby hairs! This is super cute!

co: ok *so* (really sorry if this is appropriation) i LOVE type 4 hair. i have type 2 hair but wish i had type 4 hair, it is so incredibly beautiful and i love the hairstyles you’re able to do with it and its general texture. to all y’all that straighten and wear wigs, us white girls are JEALOUS of your natural hair :)

Jalessa Malloy: I’m trying to figure out why people don’t think this is 4c hair Girl, stop explaining yourself. People are always going to have something to say Just do you! ❤️

banks !: A few years back I always used to compare my Afro 4C hair to those thick long hair you see on adverts but now I learned how to feel comfy with my Afro hair

M. Mills: Would love to see a full hair care routine! What do you use to keep your hair moisturized??

Jihada McSween: Her Hair is literally goals!!!☺

Is_that_Eddika?😛: Definitely doing this<33

Shelby Barnes: Can you please do a wash day routine and twist/braid out tutorial ❤️

Young Father: Thanks your tutorial helped me a lot

Michelle Grobbelaar: And some people say 4c hair can't grow. Skai has entered the chat.

Deja The Warrior Goddess: Great video. I just learned that all these years I’ve been stating the wrong hair type for myself. I always said my hair was 4c, but if you’re saying yours is 4c, then mine is 4Z for sure.

RCCG Living Spring RCCG: First, congratulations on single handedly slaying the slick back, I seriously need it for AFJROTC!But could u do a wash day Skai, or like a product comparison or something? Also I love ur tiktoks, great book too!

Frances: You know what I never paid attention too? The fact that Skai only straightened her hair ONCE on Jessie. She had her hair natural all the time.

Bella H.: her voice is so calming, we stan skai

Laila Simone: it came out so good and the fact that she didn’t use so much gel but you see girls w/ 4c hair that overdo it .. it’s possible w/o so much !!

maia: when she has a subway sign in her room

Anaé Thomas: Girl your hair is so beautiful my hair is totaly the oposite, your an amazing person and i hope life is treating you well your my role model i love your such an amazing person loving and a great person, your parents are so lucky to have you,i love you so much have a amazing day

Jalissa Thomas: I love that stuff!! It’s soo good I have 4c hair too

Sweetgodsgirl Sweetgodsgirl: She is an honest person, very true.Love for you Skai

Raheli: She looks so beautiful on natural

Mr. Barns: We stan a 4c queen .

Nine: Beautiful even without makeup. My hair used to be that full and long.

Nubian_byNature: I swear skai never ages❤️‼️

Tiffani Linde: You're so inspiring and beautiful and cool. Love you. Happy New Year! You rock.

Katelyn: Who misses bunked and Jessie

Nana Luvz: Thanks for the tutorial, i have type 4 curly hair and been looking for a nice girl that'll work besides eco styler. im excited to try this one <3

Anonymous: girl you had amazing hair in Bunk’d. You are beautiful in that show. You still are gorgeous tysm. ♥️♥️
