Hey guys welcome back to Queenie Kay's channel. Today we are gon na be styling, my hair, beautiful hair, and my name is Rachel and antonini's, and so let's get started, hey guys cleaning here. I hope you guys enjoyed that intro. So, as Rachel told you, we are going to be styling her hair today, so she has amazing, 4c long, thick hair. I'M hoping this video will be helpful to anyone who needs to style their children's hair, their siblings hair, their cousins, hair, whoever it is who has hair similar to Rachel's and maybe doesn't know exactly what to do so. What I'm starting off with is detangling, so we're going to be putting her hair into a protective style. Her mom likes to put her hair in two styles that will last long keep her hair, moisturized and sealed, and just locked. I find that type 4 hair thrives when it's in twists, so we're gon na be doing that with a little bit of a different style in the front. Just so, you don't give her a little bit of creative freedom while still being able to keep her hair protected, and you don't follow her mom's orders about the style that she would want for her hair to stay in so first before we get into this. You guys can see that her hair is dirty at the roots. It'S all clumped up it's dry, so we are going to be focusing on removing the dirt detangling before even shampooing. If you enjoy using pre poos, you can do that. Personally. I just took my time with some water and a detangling brush and I just brushed out the little clumps of dirt at the roots or a dust whatever it is, and you wet it with some water use a detangling brush. This one is amazing for kids, you guys like it's so gentle. I use it on myself and it's able to pull out any dirt at the roots and also detangle, very gently. So if you have kids who are tender-headed, this is something you need it'll be in the description box, and now you guys can see before we shampoo her roots are clean and her hair is ready to be easily shampooed and conditioned without me having to focus on The clumps of dirt, I can just focus on the scalp and the strands and get out of the bathtub quickly. Now that we're done detangling we're gon na wash. We are now gon na detangle and moisturize moisturize moisturize. Once boys ya see boys moisturize turret, what sterreicher mister dries now we're going to moisturize? Yes, good enough, all right, yes! So, as she said, we are now going to moisturize and move on to the styling process. So I am now detangling again, but also moisturizing at the same time, by using the gold series leave on detangling milk - and I just saturated enough to just let it do the work, so I don't have to tear through her hair and pull on it too much. I know she's still cringing a bit and bending her neck, but it's not that bad. So and then after I use a detangling milk, I'm using the gold series braid cream, you guys, can use any type of butter. So I like to use like a water-based product. First, to moisturize the hair and hydrate it, and then I seal that with a butter like the braid cream or like a butter cream or just anything, that's heavy like a pomade. So I use a water-based and then an oil-based product. And then I comb through and then I seal it up in a twist and make sure it's nice and moisturized, and this will last forever not forever. But the moisture will last a while because we use two products that will actually lock in the hydration and the moisture and all that, so her hair is looking good. We did the whole back section, it's looking shiny and then now I'm going to seal it with an oil I like to use a glycerin or silicone based oil. That will really keep any sort of dryness out. So if you go outside and the weather is dry, it won't suck the moisture out of your hair. So I prefer to use glycerin and silicones, but it's up to you whatever keeps the moisture in and the hair shiny. You can use that and then we're gon na do the front in a simple style, going up to a bun here, show them what we're doing. We are going to be doing this style. It'S a bun inside. That'S the style, we're gon na be doing it to a button right so to create that little style in the front section, while still maintaining the twist, I'm just doing twists in the bigger sections. So you can see that part. I just did too and then I'm gon na twist it and then pull it back and tie it on to the next piece of hair and then twist that piece. So it's pretty simple, you just attach it any way that you can and then add some little jewels in the hair and it looks good. I could work on my parting, but hey it can't be perfect. I guess so. I'M just doing the same process, I'm making sure it's nice and wet before I add any product because it did dry out while sitting there a little bit. So I add water and then I add the detangling milk and then I add my butter. So I'm doing the same thing to the next section, except this part, I'm using three pieces of twists or three pieces of three parts and then I'm twisting them attaching it to the next piece twisting that piece attaching it to the next and then just you know Letting the other twist kind of hang off if that makes sense, so you can see that I'm attaching the first twist to the second piece of hair and then I'm gon na go ahead and twist the second piece of hair, while leaving that first piece hanging right There so now I'm twisting that second piece and then I'll use that to attach to the last one and then that piece will be dangling down we're almost done. We only have one more part left and we're all done alright. So now I'm doing the exact same thing to the next side in those three pieces, since I have the sides already done in the two pieces and I'm just making sure the hair is nice and wet and hydrated before I add my products because it's been sitting So don't forget that always work with a spray bottle. So then the hair can actually absorb whatever product you're putting on top. So I'm just doing the same thing you guys can see and then that's basically it her hair is now nicely moisturized and protected nice. Alright, so that is the complete style, so her hair is now extremely moisturize. It'S clean, it's locked and sealed, and this style will last a while. So she can go out and put it up in a bun. She can take it out and kind of feel like her hair is out, but it's still in a very protective style. So it looks great. The product still needs time to settle and absorb, but I'm going to clean up the front with a little bit of gel and edge control, just to make it nice and neat and that actually lasted about two or three days. I think two days without before it is starting to get really messed up. So if you use a good gel and edge control, you can keep the front of her hair or whoever's hair, nice and neat without causing too much buildup I'll leave the products that I'm using down below. So you guys can check it out. I find that they have the best hold for basically no flaking or buildup alright. So this is the final result of our wash and style. It did take a few hours, but I have to say it's worth it because now her hair can be left alone, and you have the comfort in knowing that it's going to stay moisturized, it's gon na, say tangle free and you are also helping her retain length Because her hair is locked in a certain style and nothing is happening to it, so you can leave it for a bit, sacrifice the time now and kind of just let it be so. I hope you guys found this helpful. Finally, we're done it took a really long time, so don't forget to subscribe turn on the notification bells. Sending our video big, give a thumbs up and we'll see you guys next time.
