Being successful doesn't happen overnight and it according to our next guest. It takes a lot of determination. Please welcome Monique and Melvin Rodriguez, the CEO and CEO of my ale organic. You know the natural hair community loves your products. How did you find the right mix of ingredients? Definitely by trial and error? You know I love to research, I'm the type of person, I'd love to figure things out. You know my background is in science. I was a registered nurse before starting my ill and I had severe heat damaged, hair and, throughout my journey of trying to restore my natural curls back to how they used to be. I started researching ingredients and trying to see what works for my hair. What didn't work and I started sharing that journey on social media yeah women would gravitate to the information that I was sharing on social media and it was definitely like okay. This is what's working, and this is how I'm gon na help you and that's how really Mayo was created. Wow doing that information, that's so brave! I also heard you're really hands-on, like you started in your kitchen and then turn your garage, so tell us more about that. Yes, so I was in my kitchen and I would actually go in there and pull out like bananas. Avocados get my blenders. You would think I was making a smoothie yeah that was actually making recipes for my hair and I would post the recipes on Instagram and I was sharing the tips that I was using for my hair. So others, because other people have the same problems and the demand for my products, crew, because they wanted to purchase what I was making it. So I had to quickly take my operation from the kitchen to our basement. Then we went to the garage. Then we went from the garage to the warehouse and now we're in over a hundred thousand retail stores. Sally'S CBS Walmart well pretty much everywhere, so truly a blessing. Won'T he do it yeah. It'S always a secret sauce Academy. Tell us about that like. How would you guys get started sure, so? Our goal fundamentally is to impact life right, and I am, I have to say that I'm just so proud of my Queen, because she she has done just that. You know she has really become a beauty queen influence in this market, and I told her in the beginning when she presented the idea of my L. She said she said Mel gon na have an idea of selling shampoo and conditioner. I said that's great and I support you 100 %. That'S my duty as your husband, but I also told her this and my prayers. God told me that he was one of yous. You use both of us to be a blessing to the world and to show and to show that he is able that he will do it right, no matter us, no matter the circumstances that you're in show others that you know if your whatever the situation is Temporary right and and and that that situation does not determine your your final destination, you do and Monique has really really just she's done phenomenal and I'm just so proud of our success. Her success belongs to others, which is one of the reason why she started the secret sauce Academy. Oh wow, you know. I understand that my platform was not given to me to keep all this information to myself. It'S for me to share and help other women are sweetie pie, yes off Academy nobody, so the secret sauce Academy is a six week online mentorship program where I help other entrepreneurs. Women that look like me feel unstuck and step out on faith and pursue their dreams and their passion, because that was once me. You know I was a nurse and I had this dream and I stepped out on faith, and here you are here promoting and what's included, I'm just looking at it right now. It looks absolutely beautiful and it smells amazing. So so this is our moisture, rx collection, and so I created this collection because with curly hair and naturally Sethe you know one of the struggles is the oil takes longer to travel down the hair strand. So I wanted to create a line that TAC was dry and damaged hair because that's the key to length retention. So it comes with an overnight conditioner that you've been actually leaving your hair overnight and it comes with a moisturizing styling gel, because most gels are very drying, so this doesn't have any dry and alcohols that comes with the hair butter that you can do like. Twist outs, bantu knots, flexi rod, sets leave-in conditioner and for protective style wearers like Tamara. You can spray the scalp treatment in your hair and it's for like dry and flaky scalp, so definitely a collection that Green fans there's no way we're just gon na talk about how great these products are. Linda Alice: After watching this today I went out to the store to buy the hair gel from his leg on the line and saw that it was made from Ginger and I’m allergic to it and so I couldn’t use it which was a bummer but I do use from this line of the peppermint oil and biotin shampoo and hair mask in a tree wash rising on my curly hair and works very well that also has an edge control with the peppermint oil and biotin but no hair gel so that’s that’s my only bummer.

Seer Channah: I wanted to love her products. However, I have EXTREMELY sensitive skin. Some of the ingredients in her products broke out my skin and now I can’t use them. However, I also do not like bad customer service. For those reasons, I’m out.
Truth Teller: These products did not work for me at all. I also didn't like the fact that Mo was not wearing a mask in any of her videos throughout the pandemic and she claims to have been a nurse. What's more is the Rosemary Product Line irritated my scalp tremendously. The product line for type 4 hair either made my hair sticky, tangled, or did nothing worthy of mention.
