By the end of this video, i'm gon na save you money, i'm gon na save you time to find the best thickening product for you, hello, hi. How are you i'm robin welcome back or welcome to my youtube channel this little world right here? Is man from self if you like, hair product reviews, grooming, skincare, fragrance and videos like this very one, then chances are. You are going to love it around here? Yes, you are okay fully into this episode. Four of my hair products guide series hair products guide series. Last week we spoke about sea salt sprays and finding the best sea salt spray for your budget and for your hair type and sticking with this sort of pre-styling phase. I'M going to talk about thickening products, really the best product to make your hair look. Thicker and fuller now i should say i'm really focusing on pre-styling here, because i think if you want thicker and fuller hair, it has to start at the start. Don'T worry too much about the styling product. I will get into that later in the series talking about the different ingredients to look for, but the biggest results that i've seen in my hair and i should say, cosmetic results stuff that is going to work instantly in your hair and then, when you wash it Out your hair will look as it as it did. If you're looking for more extreme measures, there are shampoos, there are conditioners, i've spoken about them before a man from self.com and also in here, and also if you are balding or you're, really severely thinning. I have more on that. I will link those all down below, but these are products that are like instant gratification products that are going to instantly work and instantly make your hair look better and i've had quite the journey and quite the experience extraordinary products and yeah, because my hair is really Fine, so i need to boost it, so i've got five here, one two, three, four five. Yes, five here that are gon na help you find the best one for you, okay, hair gels, are a big. No, if you've got fine hair, because hair gels are really gon na kind of cement. The hair they're not going to allow it to naturally move they're, also going to make the hair look more fine, the way that they dry, so you can see into the scalp. However, thickening gels are good, we say yes to those this one by nioxin. Now it's in thickening gel this is around about the 12 pound mark. I will link absolutely everything down below in the description and but this is good for giving the hair just an instant weightless volume and thickening effect. It comes out like a gel as you'd expect get it into damp hair and just get it all the way, and you really want to be massaging it into the hair root to tip then get a hair, dryer low sort of heat low to medium heat. I always do this low to medium heat and start to work that hair dryer um in and up what this is going to do. Is it's going to wrap the hair and it's going to make the diameter of the hair look bigger and the reason this is in the top five is. I think this is really great at thickening, but also smoothing so thickening is moving. So if your hair is coarse, it's frizzy, but it's also quite thin um. Then this could be the one for you, although if your hair is coarse, it tends not to be thin but we're all different and we're all very unique. So if that's you, this could be the one for you and you tend to get more of these sort of thickening sprays and that's where i think the sort of heartland of thickening products is and where i would say, to focus your efforts and your mind and Your money and right there, the best sort of budget, one that i've got for you is this one by label m. This is label m thickening tonic one of the first ever thickening products. I used um my journey on youtube. I hate the word journey. It'S so wank. My experience on youtube started with really sort of fine hair, being very conscious of it being conscious that you at home could see into my scalp. So i did things to disguise it and i could never shoot with light coming straight into my hair, because i could see that and - and this was one of the products that i got sent by a pr and i tried it, and i really really liked it. It instantly wraps the hair, it adds volume, it adds root, lift in terms of this compared to the other ones. It is slightly more drying and i tend to see - and i said this for the sea salt sprays video last week - generalizing, but the cheaper, the product, the less that it has in in terms of like the good conditioning agents. But this is still a fantastic product and i definitely would recommend this spritz spritz spritz into the hair and start to boost it. If you're, just starting out or you're wanting to really be careful of budget, then go for this one seriously, really very good. Now scaling it up and it was the next product that i really got, and this is aveda thickening tonic a product which is in the man from south holy grail and a product which was quite often in my actually. It was for years my most used hair products. I still love this. I still come back to this. This is empty ish, and but the great thing about this - and why this is part of this is the ingredients. Aveda are a fantastic brand who really do invest in good ingredients, sustainable ingredients and ingredients that are good for your hair. It smells amazing. It works amazing. It is amazing, again weightless volume, there's more of these sort of natural conditioning agents that one can sometimes feel a little rough in the hair, still great still great. Let'S get that clear, and but this one does tend to smooth the hair slightly more and the difference between a gel and the difference between a spray gel, i would say, tends to um create sort of thickening in more of a a set of hair. Like it's more like a structure, whereas thickening sprays, i tend to think of as more for each individual strand. So if you are going to go on to do um a quiff, that's quite sore a quiff or you want to just have loads and loads of volume. In the hair, then thickening sprays are fantastic. This is around about the 18 pound mark uh. 23.. I think everything is on man from self.com and link down below, but aveda fantastic, solid, brand um and just really really good products. They actually do have a grooming clay, which is also good for thickening, but, as i say, we will get into that when i get into the clays and the hair products um another one, which is the most expensive of the lot well of these sprays, is bumbling Bumble, gobig thickening treatment um this one compared to this one, hello, this one compared to this one. This is bigger on the volume so you're going to get bigger here, whereas this one is more natural and it's going to give you a more sort of a more natural look and more just like hey. I'Ve got great thick hair, whereas this one is going to give you big, voluminous bouncy here, they're, both really fantastic, slightly more expensive bumble and bumble go big thickening treatment, part of their thickening range. I really like. I think it's good. I think it does what it's supposed to um doesn't smell. Anything amazing just smells like normal hair product, whereas that one smells really really good. So it's really up to you guys what i would say is um again check them out man from self.com, and you can kind of put them side by side and see which one's best for you, your budget, maybe even where you live, the final product i've got In this thickening pre-style is a bit of a mixture of all of these i'd call this a serum. So it's quite thick, it's not quite as thick as a gel, but it's certainly thicker than a spray, and this is nioxin dye boost. I think this is a really really great product. Sometimes when i use this, my hair actually feels too thick and that's a bit of a statement there. I'M really great if your hair is really really fine or really really thinning, this quite literally plumps and wraps the hair. It'S like putting bubble wrap around the hair. It makes it feel so much bigger um. This has got what they call. I mean all of these sort of technologies, i'm just a bit like htx technology, but really again, this is about taking the damage of the hair um. It pumps out into this sort of serum sort of liquid, get it into the hands work it straight through root to tip, and it's just going to wrap the hair with all of these products. They are activated with a hair dryer. A hair dryer is really going to speed up that process of the thickening. It tends to cause a reaction in the product which is then going to sort of wrap the hair boost the hair volumize, the hair. I really really like this, and there are certain deals on at the moment, so i'll find the best prices, but it tends to be around at 30 pound mark. So it's certainly not cheap, but you don't need a lot 100 mls in here. You just need one pump, maybe even two massage straight for the hair and go, but these are fantastic very well deserved into my top five products. As i say i have tested so many. If you've got fine thin hair tend to stay away from anything sea. Salt spray or anything drying unless you're gon na mix them so take. Maybe one of these and then put a sea salt spray over the top and mousses are good but more for the volume we're going to be getting into those a bit later, but thickening sprays and thickening gels are your friend also from one fine haired person to Another or a thin haired person hang on in there. Honestly, i know hair is so important. It'S your crowning glory. It feels good when it looks good, but there are products here to help and also the problems pages on manfrotto.com has got stuff about hair transplants. If you are at that point, and also things like finasteride minoxidil, that's kind of going to be your home hub there, but thank you very much for watching really hope. You'Ve enjoyed this one. If you have and you've still not pressed subscribe, then hey come on. I'Ve done all this work for you. Please do hit subscribe right now seriously. The button is just there there's. Also more video suggestions. Staying there stay with me and watch them i'll head you to the thickening on manfrotto.com there and the full series for the hair products guide up there until my next new video, bye-bye

Robin James: “But you’ve got thick hair…” There’s a lot to make it look like this. Ha ha! Go back to some of my first ever videos on YouTube (2012) and you’ll see how fine and flyaway it is.

Frbrbr Grblgrr: Here's the biggest reason to let this video run and give it a thumbs up and positive comment. Robin puts the list in the description. You're not forced to watch it all or go back to write the name of something down. It's there, time stamped and in the description. I know men's personal care seems to spike then drop then spike then drop so for anyone new here or coming in during a spike in the future this is definitely a must watch channel. He doesn't try to pander to some ideal of men or to try and make you feel like you need this to look a certain way he just gives you advise from his personal experience.

Swif: This is the most helpful, quick to the point and professional video out there!

Zac - Twowhoeat: Very helpful quality content Robin as always!

iPandaKing: Been using the label m tonic since you recommended it years ago and it's an absolute game changer, especially for the price.

Brad Sopkow: I’ve noted my hair is less thick and less full of volume as of late. My hair is also significantly longer then before though too. Is there an ideal hair length range to maximize these products? Right now it comes down to my chin. Let me know!

Phil Illustration: As a fellow fine haired bloke I appreciate you keeping it real.

Galaxy Meteor: Hi there Robin, what are the best pre stylers for straightening curly or wavy hair ?

Paul K. Richards: a few products you need to try. Victory brand primer, super dry, and claymore. also, oribe grandiose mousse and r+co thickening spray

Arib bhai: @robin james. Hi, can we use the thickening spray and mousse together as a prestyler to get the hair voluminous?

Danny Street: Robin can’t thank you enough for another vid on hair thickening products! You’re the best brother!!

Nitiin Guptaa: Thanks a ton for this video. Though I was wondering there does Kevin Murphy anti gravity volumizer stand in comparison to all these products in this video ?

gulded68: hey Robin... i’m 53 and starting to show a lot more scalp than i’m comfortable with, especially right up front... i realize i’ve been pretty lucky till now but is there anything different an older guy should concern himself with as opposed to a premature hair loss situation..? also i have a bald spot right behind my front hairline from stupidly plucking kinky grey hairs when i had a lot more hair to spare... any ideas to reinvigorate those follicles that i pissed off by yanking them out when i was young and stupid..?

Qinyao Zheng: Hi Robin! I have been following for a while and love your videos! Recently i have gotten myself one of your favorite products - Aveda Thickening Tonic. Just wondering if we can use it together with another pre-styler like Sea Salt Spray or is that not advisable? And if we can mix them together, how do we do it then - e.g. Aveda Thickening Tonic while hair is damp then once dry you use sea salt spray? Would be very useful if you can share a video on how this is done?

Armaan Chowdhury: Do you have to wash your hair out after using these products (on their own, without any other styling products in the hair)?

Chewbacca: Just what I need Robin always there to save the day

Milan: Can we use these thickening sprays with volume powder? The only reason I am looking for thickening spray is because when there is light or sun in your hair you can see through your hairs and it’s really bothering especially when taking photos

Kapten RageNeckZ: Would love to see you do a Elvis pompadour with brylcreem! Found your channel today and I must say that I love the videos :)

Mastacator: Hey robin, any opinion on the Kevin Murphy thickening treatments? There’s a couple but there is one specifically for men. Curious to see how good it is.

Jesus Daniel Flores Carrillo: Is Aveda used in damp hair? Also do you combine Thickening tonic with volumizing prestylers?

Alex !: Sooooo hyped for the next videos! Looking for a new Styler ^^

ThatsTheBadger: Did you ever do a styling video for your new hairstyle Robin? I have a similar sort of length and your hair looks awesome!

Westin Britt: You should talk about fortified shampoo for fast hair growth.

Saif Saeed Khan: But would it be possible to use these products without blow drying (so alternatively drying whils t standing under a fan) or just having the hair dryer on cool/(no heat) mode? Because I know that heat isn't too beneficial for hair. Any responses would be appreciated.

Matt Worsfold: Recommendations for a pre-styler that has heat protection?

Joseph P: I can't find it, or perhaps there's too much information to sift through, but can you use nioxin diaboost and gel? If so, what would be the best combination? Spray, blow dry, gel? Gel, dry, spray, then blow dry?

Erick Perez: I got thick hair, but not a lot of. When I was younger I use to take really hot showers which damaged my scalp bad. Any recommendations for me?

Gretta Lemabouchou: Hi Robin.....I am a female with three foot long hair. I lost some due to Covid hair fall. Trying the Nioxin. Although I don't use heat I am eager to see if it will work. There are so many people who are having this issue. Thanks for posting.

Niklas Nesling: Hey Robin! Have you tried Full Again by Kevin Murphy? Really like the results so far.

Sum41❤️: Which one do you recommend for thin fine ends aveda or bumble and bumble? Thanks

mark raimondi: Hey Robin great series. Love the Aveda. What are your thoughts on 18.21 Man Made Clay?

Justin Yi-Riley: This is the first video of yours that I’ve watched and I instantly subscribed. I love your personality lol

Avery Jing: Hi Robin, your video is awesome! If I have thick and a lot of hair, do I still need to use thickening product? Thanks!

skurinski: Can I use sea salt spray mixed with clay?

Spivvy Vivvy: Great Advice,Many,Many Thanks Robin x

morgan machado: Hey Robin, I have hair similiar to yours. I prefer to style it slicked back, but not neccesarily slicked if you know what I mean. I've been using Hanz De Fuko Claymation for years now. I've been looking for a new product that will give my hair seperation, with a strong hold, and will work in my finer hair. I always prestyle with hair dryer and Aveda TT. Any recommendations? I wash my hair everyday and style it at least 4-5 times a week btw.

Usman Gujjar: Hey Robin am I supposed to use a clay or holding product after I use diaboost? My hair are really thin and flat.

warne ten: Hey robin im from india love ur video btw …just want to ask a question plz reply …can we use aveda thickening tonic with mousse

Ian Johnson: Thank you for your informative videos. I will try to use avid thickening with sachajuan ocean mist for my fine hair.

O U T C A S T: I would love to see a video about best hold hair sprays , love you robin keep up the good content

Piyush Ohri: What is the best product for thin hairs to make them look thicker and give volume? Wax, Putty, Clay or Hair spray?

Alan Southall: You the man, this is such great content thank you. Does buying through your links help the channel?

ThatsTheBadger: Also tagging on from my last comment, how do you feel the nioxin diaboost would work on “normal” hair?

Joe: I have read that because people start thinning and losing their hair is because there genetics make them make more dht then normal and because it's high and not balanced it starts thinning your hair that's why finasteride works but the side effects are from reducing dht to much you don't want to stop dht completely or reduce it to barely nothing you still want dht just at normal and balanced Levels

ChrisJames: Okay, I’m 16, i have had fine/thin hair my whole life, I bought the nioxin system 1 and the evada thickening tonic, are those safe for a 16 year old? I need answers as soon as possible

simpleguy007: Well here i am wondering about which product to buy for thin hair and there you are. Thank you, thank you, thank you Cheers from Poland.

jjg89: Aveda thickening tonic has been a staple since I found it on this channel years ago. Cheers Robin!

Matt C: Really enjoying this series.

Jessy Morel: Since fine haired ppl should avoid gels,I'm assuming that foaming mousses are a better option 4 them right? Since its lightweight, cause I have fine hair,so mousse is good?

Rich Dennis: Hi so my son had cancer when he was 5. He's out the other side of it now and at nearly 8yo he's 18months N.E.D. The thing is his hair which was lovely and curly before and is again curly now has really lost its thickness and when he has it cut it really does look abit patchy. Anyone know of anything that can help combat this. He really doesn't care but I really do. Lol. Tia

augustya: Hey Robin in your Video last week, you said Sea Salt Spray as a Pre-Styler is a Must for everyone if he wants to have his Hair Styled Neat. But in this Video you are saying Sea Salt Spray is no for people with thin and Fine Hair. I am a bit confused. I have thin and also Fine Hair.

treetoon: Thanks Robin, what do you think of Aveda Volumizing Tonic and Lanza Thickening Spray?

Athletic Cig Smoker: if I put mousse in my hair, would I put these products in before or after?

Joker YT: TYSM man I love your videos you have helped me so much

Marcus: I got very fine hair and i have tried label M thickening tonic, my hair gets thicker but i dont like the feel when i touch my hair, it feels greasy so i have ordered the Aveda one and i will see if it is any better :)

Adir Gabay: If i have fine hair, should i use sea salt spray ?

Damon Powell: Hi Robin. Is the LabelM thickening tonic discontinued?

Joshua the one: Hey Robin, what product is long term or long lasting. Is there anything like the last product you showed that is permanent?

Jacob Nørgaard: Robin I would love it if you got into products that were good for your beard (since I've got one) but I suppose it's not really for you. Anyway, thanks for your suggestions. You're excellent as always.

Rob Johnson: Did you put a new atomizer on the Aveda? I love the product but it’s atomizer is not good in my experience. Any recommendations? Thanks!

Sandeep: Great timing for this video. Thanks

Tonaldo: I've Nioxin Gel it has been good not phenomenal but good

Tom Reads Things: Brilliant brilliant brilliant video so helpful

Harsh Anand: To be honest.... I trust robin more than the covid vaccine

Johan : Should you mix sea salt spray with a thickener or first thickener and the spray sea salt? Didn’t understand really

Safwan Alam: Can anyone suggest me a hair product for thin medium (4-5 inches) hair? Something refreshing that has a good hold?

Depression Beard: Had to go back 3 times and listen again and again to 5:20 because I legit thought you said "it tastes amazing"

TheHuggybear516: Yo got a question Specially for you Robin. Don’t worry it isn’t harassing you about pomade! Looking for an oriental fragrance with kind of an Egyptian musk to it any recommendations?

Loganmagic: When I get out of the shower my natural hair is very flat? Is they any way to fix it? Without putting products in straight after a shower.

Alex Mercer: Did Kevin murphy volumising mousse good for thin or fine hair?

Dave Koffee: Thanks man. Subscribed

Yasrab Calyar: I pray you would be here just to educate yourself. Because hair thinning really hurts. but If anybody has tried please leave your feedback. It's a humble request.

Praveen kumar: How many days will bumble and bumble hair spray lasts??????
