Hi, I'm Nelson virture, I'm here today at the Rita Hasan salon, with my beautiful model Alisha and today, I'm going to demonstrate how to shampoo hair properly. First, you want to start by having your client sit down. Take a nice fresh towel place around their shoulders, and then you want to make sure that you always get any of the hair at the neck at the hairline that might be caught under the towel, and you want to hold up just a little bit want to Make sure the towel is placed in the perfect position, so she doesn't get wet and then you're going to just have her lean back into the bowl. Very gently just slide now she's there. So, after that, you want to just finger through the hair to kind of untangle anything with your fingers, now you're going to start with your temperature of water. So you want to make sure that the temperature is correct before you put it on the hair. So it doesn't burn the scalp and I would prefer to go a little bit cooler than warmer to be safe. Then you've asked your client how's, the temperature and she'll. Let you know whether it should be hotter or colder. So you want to start by just you know, using the hose and wetting the hairline. I typically start from one side and then I work my way around to the other side. Once that's done, lift up the back of the hair, lift the ear up, get the sides get both sides. You want to make sure you put your hose back, so it's just out of the way, especially if they have long hair. I'M going to start by using the Rene furtherer carrot a shampoo, so once you apply the shampoo in your hands, you rub it together and I like to just Pat it lift the head up. So it's a pat on top pat on the sides, Pat underneath and then in the middle. Then with the balls of your fingers. You want to just start rubbing as you go to the hairline, so on my temple, the temple going to the center temple to Temple, going through the center till you get to the back of a hairline once you're at the back of the hairline. You want to lift them up and just to make sure you get everything underneath. If the hair is very long, you can also just massage the hair in your hand as you're holding it. You want to prevent tangles as much as possible, and you just repeat these steps. So now I'm rinsing the first, the lather from the first shampoo. Another thing you want to make sure you do is be very conscious of the water splashing. A lot of women have their makeup done when they're being shampoo, so you want to make sure you don't disturb that after rinsing squeeze the hair out get rid of the extra excess moisture, you want to condition by repeating the same steps you did with the first Shampoo, after that rinse conditioner and you have properly shampooed hair, I'm Nelson virture here at the redesign salon. Have a magical day: Wtf? Use more shampoo, imagine if he used that method on oily scalp, it would turn oily in hours. She has middle lenght and thick hair, she needs more shampoo than that. Shampoo around the hairline first and back of your neck, then over your ears and the rest afterwards. Only shampoo once unless your hair is really really greasy or if you have used alot of products lately.

FlyingMonkies325: your scrubbing too much.... this damages the hair... girls hair is different than guys hair you need to be gentle, the best way is to first lightly lather the hair on top by running your palms down the hair, them use the combing motion with your fingers and work it into the hair which will be easy enough while wet, then lightly with your fingers rub in circles (lightly lol not the way your doing it lol), and use your thumbs under the hair and in the middle parting at the back of the head, you need to go to the grain of the hair, then wash out, use the same combing method even with conditioning. It's gentle on the hair and creates better results in the same time. When it's washed lightly squeeze out the water at the bottoms of the hair, you can slightly twist but just very light, put the towel over their head and set them to sit down so you can lightly squeeze and pat the hair between the towel (this helps to dry the hair quicker, remember excess moisture creates frizz). Also let the water do the work when rinsing, don't handle it so much.

Say it like it is: I wouldn't enjoy him shampooing my hair! There's no clip on the towel, no cap to stop water drenching my clothes, not enough shampoo, too rough when scrubbing, didn't bother to comb the hair, jumps straight into conditioning with only one shampoo rinse. Not good. I would never step foot into that saloon!
