How To Wear A Hair Comb : Hair Care & Styling

Hi, it's michelle dietrich here at pretty snow studio in new york city and today our beauty topic is side. Combs. So tony has wicked cool thick beautiful hair, but we want to kind of give it a quick but sleek edge. I'M going to use a contemporary version of a traditional side, comb, one that has one flat side and one curved side which differs from the regular hair clip that has two curved sides. So this works perfectly for a side comb but won't fall out as old school side. Combs do has a gripper so to insert go with your flow, like kind of, because we're going to give it a sleek edge if your hair is being fussy, just let it be fussy because we're already going to tame it with this clamp and side comb right. So open with the flat side facing the head, go up and then go down and do that again the reason why is because gravity say this was a traditional comb will naturally pull it down, particularly if you have heavy hair or a heavy hair. Do so go up and then push down to grab the majority of the hair and the cool thing about this is if you mess up well, not mess up, but if you want to grab more hair, which i do and grab kind of from the part you Can use this also as a tool like a comb go up and then push it down to clamp, pull it forward, and then you can even like pull more hair over it or you could put all of your hair to the other side. To give that really like rihanna, whatever kind of sharp like almost like the side of your head, is shaved, it's a cool way to experiment without committing to a dramatic cut.
