Just put this right directly on the scout, I'm sorry! Actually that's what you don't do. Hi friends, welcome back to my channel. So after getting multiple requests to do an updated hair care, routine video, I finally sat down and filmed the entire routine from start to finish. For you guys, so I take you through the process of how I detangle their hair, how I wash and condition their hair and then restyle their hair, and I do this every two to three weeks. Sometimes I even push it to four weeks depending on our schedule, and it really holds up well, I have minute we have minimum breakage and their protective styles, so that really helps to retain the length in their hair and I'm showing you all the products that I Use and everything else in this video so make sure you hit the like button. If you like this type of video and hit the subscribe button, if you haven't joined my YouTube family yet and leave a comment down below, and let me know what your hair care routine looks like for your child and also, if you'd be interested in more hair Care videos and, if you'd like to see how I do my oldest daughter, Zara's hair, because her hair texture is completely different than Ava's. Today, I'm just showing showing you a VA's but leave a comment down below and let's discuss it, and I can definitely make more videos like this. Thank you guys so much for watching and enjoy the video. This is three weeks of these birds being in, as you can see, her scalp is really dry. The hair is very dry. I just took one down, so I'm going to take you through step by step, what I do to redo their hair. The whole process from beginning to end to begin again so right now, I'm just going to take these braids down I'm going to detangle each braid as I take it down. What I'm gon na use to detangle is, first of all, some water. That'S key! Okay! To have a successful, you know wash and condition session for me and my kids is detangling it beforehand. I'M gon na be using this knot. Sauce detangler, you can use any detailer detangler, depending on your hair type. What your hair wart responds well to that particularly just softens her hair very well, and it makes it so that I'm able to comb one of my fingers through it. I use this detangling comb. I got this from the Dollar Tree a while ago. I don't even know if they sell it anymore, and I also have a small tooth comb here and I have a rat tail comb to take the braids down. Let'S get started as you can see, I wet it a little bit that first braid then I use this knot sauce by Sol Tana Falls. I will leave everything linked in the description box and it literally made it so that my fingers were able to run through this gently. It really softens the hair moisturizes, the hair, but the key is water. Even if you don't have a detangler to use, you can use any kind of leave-in conditioner that you want to, or even a wash regular conditioner that you will wash out when you wash your hair. I think it's important that you soften it first and it just makes the whole washing process faster and less painful, because I have a very tender head of child. So I'm just gon na twist this up and then I'm gon na show you what I do. The next braid now when you're, removing beads like this okay, you can have to be careful not to cut your child's here. This is where the rat rat tail comb comes in, because what I'll do is I'll find like a loop that I can cut through of the rubber band and I'll push the rat tail comb in see. I have a loop here, so I'm gon na stick to the comb through and now I'm ready to cut the scissors away from the hair right like that, then you unwrap and take the beads down you're gon na take these braids out. As you can see, there's a lot of lint here and dirt and I'll show you how we get rid of that too, because you don't want to wash her hair like you, don't want to wash your child's hair if you have a lot of them. I kind of dust and dirt and gunk this is just like dust like that's in the air. That'S what happens because you know you have products on the child's hair to keep her hair moisturize and that product can it sometimes attract. You know lint from the air and they roll around and they play. This is a normal thing for us, so I'm gently just unraveling the hair. Sometimes you could put like the rat tail comb and, if you need it, okay, so this is how this was the braid that we just moisturized and twisted up, and this is the braid that we just took out. Let me show you how dirty it is. So you can see okay, so this is how it looks just with the braid out, as you can see, there's a lot of lint, buildup and dirt. So now I am going to spray all three, and this is like a mr. spray, see it mists the hair. It'S not like shooting water on the hair, so I'm just going to work that water in just like, so I'm not trying to detangle just yet I'm just working the water into the hair gently. Very, very everything I do with their hair is very gently because we want to prevent breakage water and I'm gon na, take the not sauce and put it on the hair like so so then, I'm just gon na work that in the hair and let the product Do its job, and sometimes I need to add some on the ends like so and if it feels dry, add some water and start working your fingers through now for the dirt buildup. That'S right here! I'M going to separate the hair, just separate it with the product on it and if you need extra product just add extra product and then it should just slide out. It'S just sliding out see came out now, I'm going to take my detangling comb and comb through it. Gently start at the ends and work your way up section by section again, it takes time y'all, but it's worth it to just retain the length and to be gentle. I want my girls to know that they need to be gentle with their hair too, and not like rush through it. So we're just combing through it right in here and where the dirt buildup was I'm just combing right through it easily. Then I take my small tooth comb and I'm able to run it through now don't force the small tooth comb through her hair. If her hair is just not ready for the comb, keep detangling with your fingers, some kids just need their hair finger, detangling detangled, and that's enough like just being able to do. That is enough. You know. So if you can't run the comb through, don't force the comb through girl we're tired of the days of breaking combs. Okay, I broke a many, a comb when I was little so I just unraveled that braid that wasn't that twist that wasn't, underneath and now I'm going to twist this whole section together - and this is ready now to be washed. It just makes washing her scalp a lot easier when her hair is detangled. I can really focus on washing her scalp properly and like just have minimum hair shed and hair breakage this way. So when their hair is in braids for this long, for like full three weeks, I like to give it a break for from braids for a couple of days. So after I wash her hair I'll, just do ponytails or some big large twists in it and then she'll wear it like that. For a couple days before I put the braids and the beads back in for another couple of weeks. Sometimes they last two weeks. Sometimes they last three weeks, it just depends on our schedule how busy we are, how the hair holds up we're all at home right now, so it's not like. We have anywhere to go. It'S a perfect time to try to experiment with different styles and just practice. Getting better with your child's hair, so now I'm going to continue to do the rest of her hair okay, so I just took the other braids out and I'm going to this one had a lot of dirt buildup in it and again, I'm gon na do the Same process of detangling, I'm telling you detangling before you wash the hair I'll say it over and over again y'all. That is the key to really it being washed properly and also less painful, especially if you have a tender headed child to do the detangling beforehand. Don'T try to do it with the shampoo when you're, washing her hair or when you're trying to deep condition. Cuz you just that's like a separate process. You know you want to get all this excess dirt and stuff out before you wash it because you're not combing. It while you're washing it so yeah, so I'm going to go ahead and do the same process for this braid. So this is how it looks detangled. I really love that knot sauce because it just really hydrates my daughter's hair and brings her curl her natural curl pattern back it just pops right back, so this isn't even washed hair. This is very dirty hair. It'S been three weeks since I washed and deep conditioned her hair. I really really love this stuff. So now again, I'm gon na add it to the twists that we have underneath there, so I can get ready to wash her hair. Okay yeah. It'S been about 45 minutes we're. Finally, at the last section here, I just wanted to show you the difference between. I took all the braids down, but this is the section that a small section that I just wet and detangled what I just showed you in the previous clips and then this is just her hair. You know with nothing on it, it's just a huge difference, so we never ever ever once you try to comb her hair, any ties comb with it with it like this. We always want to make sure that it's moisturized, so almost done all of her hair has been detangled, so we just need a little break. This is a long process. It took about an hour to just safely, slowly, detangle, no rush. I never I'm in a rush. I do it when we have a day to do it now, I'm just gon na. If I don't watch it tonight, I will wash it tomorrow morning, but now it's definitely ready to be washed okay. So it's the next day and it's wash time - and this is everything I use for wash day - I have three towels, an old t-shirt, a little microfiber towel our deep conditioner cap, and then I have my products now. My products change. Often one thing that's for staple for sure that I love for all three of our hair. Is this honey baby, Naturals, honey, child moisture balance shampoo? I love this shampoo and I use that, but I also use jamaican black castor oil strengthen a restore shampoo. It'S a clarifying shampoo. So since it's been about three weeks since I washed your hair, she really needs it and she has a lot of buildup of flakes on her scalp. So I'm really going to part her hair before I lay her on the sink and I'll show you that in a second I'm going to part her hair and put this in it - and this is just water and a little bit of the shampoo when a partner Can really focus on her scalp and get into her scalp and massage this into her scalp saw her scalp is very clean when I'm done after that I'll rinse that out and then I'll shampoo her with this and then to deep condition. I'M gon na use Sol tentacles afro tastic, curl elastic deep conditioner, so I'm gon na wrap this around her neck so that she doesn't get her t-shirt wet and then I'm gon na lay the towels down and I'll show you once I set everything up just folded. The towel and rolled it up - this is my kitchen sink here: countertop and I'm just gon na wash her hair in the kitchen sink. It'S just easiest for me to do it this way, and this supports her neck and while I wash her so now, I'm gon na get ready to put the treatment on her scalp okay. So this is how I get her ready. I clip this in the front like so and then in the back. I roll it under her t-shirt, so it doesn't get her wet. So now, I'm going to part through and put the solution of water and that clarifying shampoo on our scalp. So we get her scalp, nice and clean before I like, you girl. I just did this section now. If your child doesn't have any scalp issues like my oldest daughter, doesn't have any side. I wouldn't do this. You could skip this entire step, but I parted each little section and then I twisted it back because I don't want it to get tangled when I wash so I'm going to go ahead and do another section just part finger parted. I see that's what you don't do don't squeeze too much. Sorry, I just a little bit and massage cute. You are cute, don't get all of it and wouldn't it you just look for any dandruff patches. Anything like that and hey we're gon na do the back and then we'll get ready to wash okay. I have that warm water here just do whatever your child's liking is, and so I'm going to ranch. I'M just rinsing. I'M gon na wait a good five minutes of just wetting her hair. She has a lower porosity of hair, which means it takes a little bit longer for the hair strand to open up in order for the moisture to get in so water is key. Water is key, so I'm just going to rinse her hair thoroughly each section I'm not going to tangle it up. You'Re, not gon na see me go like this and all like this and everything you want to keep it straight. So the most you'll see me do is this and of course, I'm gon na massage your scalp, her scalp only, but as I'm rinsing right now, all I'm focusing on is just keeping her hair straight one section at a time time and I'm just rinsing the water. Just letting the water moisturize her hair and it's it should start feeling the water do all the work. That'S right. It should start feeling like smooth, especially focus on the ends here once it starts feeling smooth. Then you know that the hair is getting moisturized okay. So I'm going to do each section slowly so more sections and that's what I'm gon na do just do each section slowly. So I'm just thoroughly rinsing all the stuff that we had in there. The free food which is like that, leaving that detangler that I had that we used yesterday just old chemicals of Chandler, I'm just mixing that stuff out. No. I have my clarifying that I put on her she's out in there right around her perimeter Edna. So they didn't do that while she was sitting up because I didn't want it to fall on her face and I'm just massage and gently with my fingertips. Only I never ever ever use my nail fingertips only and awareness no sergeant we're rinsing it's funky. So now I'm gon na get ready to use another shampoo and I wash it twice. I'M gon na focus on putting the shampoo on her scalp. Oh that's! It see how I'm running my fingers through as I'm holding it like taht, not too too tight, not tight or anything where I'm pulling her, where it's uncomfortable, I'm just holding the hair out like this and then I'm running it through running it through. There should be no tangles or anything like that. You want to separate the hair. You can separate the hair like so work on the scalp. It should be very comfortable, yeah, a massaging. So after a couple minutes, I'm going to go ahead and rinse and I'm gon na wash this section one more time, we're gon na make sure not to get it in her ear. I'M gon na hold her ear. I'M rinsing all the way down the hair shaft from your scalp sitting here, shut up all the way down the hair strand. I should say my job is rinsing. Now I'm gon na lap shampoo for this section and then move on to the next section now. This is the moisturizing shampoo is going to add that moisture back in her hair, something I have to do really well, first out, it's so dry and flaky mom, shaky space, sorry SP, AC e space; sorry we're homeschooling right now, Ava's done for the table. Sarah has she's in her last class for the day. This is good, nice and clean, so I'm gon na rinse this section, okay! Now I'm going to twist this section and move on to the next. I have her lay on her thigh to do the back. I already did the two front: sections it's nice and clean four thousand nice and clean. So back here. You can have as much Sandra issues with that, but so it's just easier for her to lay on her side and ice. The water will just hit here and that's mine, these are old towels and so I'm just gon na wet the back section would be the same process and then to do the other side. I'Ll have her turn on her other side. Okay, I've washed everything, and so what I just did is I wet this front section here and I put a conditioner on it and I'll walk you through the whole process. When I have her turn around and now I'm gently running a wide toothed comb through it. It should be pretty easy start at the ends and work your way up in just this one section, nice and gentle just work your way up and then once you feel like it's fully detangled you just twist this section back up and now you're. This is the deep conditioner we're gon na. Let this sit in her hair for like 20 minutes now, I'm gon na show you how to do the other section. Okay, I just took this back side out of the twist and what I'm gon na do is I'm going to wet three wet two hair, nice and moisturize number of water is key. Okay and now I'm gon na add the deep conditioner I'm gon na. Take about that much and I'm going to focus on the ends and work. My way up, focus on the ends and work, your way up, the ends oldest part of the hair, so that usually needs the most moisture. Add a little touch more, not too much. I don't go crazy with the conditioner, so what's it feel? Like? I'M sorry, sorry, sorry, I have a very tender headed five-year-old, but once it feels nice and moisturize, I'm going to start at the ends. Glide it through. This isn't a full detangle, because we did the hard part already before we started washing. So now, I'm just shouldn't be too tough to glide through that's where I'm not even being rough. That'S it see. You should be able to run your fingers through be careful with your nails if you have a hangnail. My one nails is kind of chipped here, so I'm not gon na run my finger through the threat. So now I'm just gon na re twist. This section do this section and I'll show you the heating cap that I put on good job girl. Okay. So now I'm gon na take a grocery store bag and I'm going to put in our hair her hair. It has conditioner on it. You see the waves cuz, that's what that water. Does you know it's just nice and juicy you want it to be nice and juicy. You don't want it to look dry when you put the deep conditioner on that's, why you add that water first and then add a little bit of deep conditioner. I really really like this deep conditioner a lot for her hair and it's not very thick. I mean it's thick enough, but it's not super super thick. You can get Sultana khals, I believe at Sally's Beauty Supply. I will leave a link for their website down below, so I'm just literally gon na put a bag over the head, like so we're gon na put that in there twist this up this is old school here. This is how I used to do conditioned right here. My mom used to do conditioned my hair just the same way old brushes for back. Then I have this old cap that I bought probably it's over ten years ago, at this point twelve years ago, that you put in the microwave I'm gon na put it in the microwave for about 45 seconds pop it on her hair and she's gon na leave. That on for 20 minutes, this is nice. It'S it's heated in there, she's got the grocery store bag. Underneath now, if you don't have one of these, you can actually make your own. What you do is you want to get like a hand towel or large washcloth running under hot or rinse it like rinse. All the excess water out then put the grocery store bag on top and then put the wet hot washcloth on top and then put another grocery store bag. On top of that and then BOOM you have your own or you could put a dry towel on top. I put a little scrunchie here to hold it because our head is so small but yeah. No, no, no just like that, like that baby, okay, and so now, she's gon na leave this on for 20 minutes. Okay. So it's been about 15 minutes and I'm gon na go ahead and rinse it out. I don't know baby, that's cute, it's ready! So I'm going to take this off and just rinse her twist individually, I'm gon na try not to take the twist out. Sometimes you have to untwist it while you're rinsing it to make sure all the product is out, but as soon as I sit and rinse it thoroughly I'll twist it back before. I lift her up back out of the sink. So let's go ahead and rinse this out, so your scalp is nice and clean. Look down baby! It'S got this nice and clean. So all right, let's ring okay! So now I'm going to rinse her hair out, I like to do cooler water. She doesn't like it too cool though, but it will be on the cooler side of warm water so that we can close the hair follicle. Now that it's moisturize, it's like a cooler warm, so I'm just rinsing try to raise as much as you can without taking the twists out. But then, if you have to take the twists out, take it out section by section and then twist it back. Okay! So now it's all all thoroughly rinsed out, and I have an old t-shirt here old cotton t-shirt that I'm gon na lift up, lift your head up and just wrap her hair in this is what we're gon na use to get the excess moisture out. It does not dry the hair up like a regular towel would, but it's just we're just gon na get the excess moisture off here I'll. Let her sit up so baby. You look at that baby with the clean hair, so I am going to wrap her head with this for a little bit and just let it drive just a little bit before I start to before. I just do a simple style to stretch her hair before I do with the braids and B's baby okay, he was watching a movie while she's watching this movie. I just put these four large braids in to stretch her hair out, so that when it's time for me to just do her style, it'll already be stretched and I'm going to continue and let this air dry for the rest of the day. Several days made them. Okay, y'all, it's been a couple of days. Her hair is completely dry. I just like to do her hair, while it's dry and kind of stretch. That'S why I braided it like this now. If we, if we were going to school, you know right now her Quarantine, but if she had school I would have just did like a cute ponytail style, and it just gives her hair, like a rest from having braids and beads for a couple of days. So now I'm going to moisturize your scalp and moisturize the hair and put braids and beads in and that that style will last anywhere from two to four weeks. It just depends. Let me show you the products that I'm going to use to moisturize your scalp, I'm going to use this grow thick oil now sometimes, if I feel like her scalp is extra dry. What I will use is this Jamaican black, castor oil. I mean I may use it today on her scalp. I have like a little squeeze bottle that I you I pour this in. That has a tip like this: it's easy to navigate on the scalp and a massage into the scalp. So the only thing with Jamaican black, castor oil, it's very sticky and very, very, very thick, but it really does do its job. It definitely moisturizes the scalp. So that's what I'm gon na use on her scalp now the leave-in conditioner! I don't like this is my absolute favorite product I used on both of my girls hair. They both have two completely different textures. I love the stuff, I'm running low a little bit, and so I may have to order some more online or run to Walgreens to get some more, but this is what I typically use, or I will use this. This is okay. I just love the way. This smells it smells so good, but if you're looking just for a good moisturizer, this works as well. This I use when I just two ponytails in her hair like I'll, just part it and put it in two pigtails or four ponytails, or something like that. So that's a combination of what I'm gon na use. Now this is not going to be a corn growing tutorial because I don't know I'm not the best corn. Rode word to me. My best advice to you is the only way you're gon na get better is, if you start doing it, just start doing it over and over and over again start doing her hair. I to me it doesn't have to be perfect. I like to give their edges of rest: I'm not gon na slicked down there baby hairs or anything like that. It'S just to me! That'S just too much! I just want it to be me and I want it to last and so and I want their hair to be healthy. That'S the most important. So let me go ahead and get started by parting. Okay, so I've taken her braids out gently, and so now I'm gon na part, her hair, now listen, girl, partying is comes easy to some people and then it's really hard to others. Okay, I just use the end of this comb that broke off it's about this thick. I don't use the end of the rat tail comb. Sometimes I do, but then you have to end up cleaning it up with this. So I'm just gon na use this to par. I'M just going to do a simple style turn on baby, where it's like two rows of braids in the back and then just the braids coming back away from her face, so I'm gon na start by parting it in half from ear to ear. Typically, most of my Styles start out that way: I'm gently parting, it yeah you notice, I'm not like ripping the hair apart. We don't want to do that because her hair is dry and it's fragile right now, so I'm just going to slowly take my time. You always want to treat the hair like it, some china, you know you wouldn't like grab your China out of your closet, all rough. You know you don't want to do that to your hair either. So I'm just gon na gently calmly part part it because I can't stand a rough person like a person who parts the hair so rough, because I personally am tender-headed as well. So I just keep that in mind when I'm doing her hair because she's incredibly tender headed as well. That looks about clean enough to me. Maybe I would have a little bit of cleanup to do. Wow, I'm going to use a clip to clip this top part. Osu baby very pretty oh, I may need to clean this up just a little bit, I'm going to clean up and then I'm going to oil and moisturize this back part and then I'll start braiding. I parted this part I oiled it and then I sprayed spritz. Just a little bit of water because you don't want the hair to shrink up again because it's already stretched because the water is Moisture. You know. And then I took a little bit of this moisture, rich hair parfait and put it on there focusing on the ends, of course, always so now, I'm gon na start parting and braiding again. You know this is not a very to toriel, but if you want a separate video on how I call it whole, I will surely do that right there. Most of you guys know how to cornrow. I'M sure you want to make sure the hair stays detangle. I like this wet brush, it looks like it would tear your hair up, but actually it's so good. It'S so soft, your hair, just glides through it. Without any you know, screams of pain which is great or you could just use a wide tooth comb. If you don't have one of these either fine, this is the top part of that comb that I broke off or that broke when I was parting and you can use something like this or even wider, if you have it just to comb through the hair. So now I'm gon na do this whole row of brave and I'll be back to show you okay. So sorry, the TV is playing in the background. I'Ve done three so far, and now I'm gon na show you. This is how big I make them when I know I'm gon na leave it in for like two to three weeks now, if I know I'm gon na, do it again next week, I'd do them a lot bigger. You can have a lot less parades if I'm gon na just turn around and do it again in seven days. I'M gon na show you how I part and braids the next one. Now I've only oiled this part of her scalp and then once I'm done with this row, I will in between each braids with the grow thick oil you're, wondering I get these beads. I think there are 1099 from Walmart in the craft section they're, okay, they're, not the best beads they do break sometimes, especially if the girls are playing around and they like knock up against each other and they will break. But I love the fact that they're already organized, and so when I take them out each braid just goes into the right, color section. So that's what I like about those the other thing is. I have this really nice rat tail comb. It'S like. I use this for parting for the braids, because I like those to be a little bit neater. I got this off at Amazon. I think it was like four or five dollars, but it's very very sturdy. It'S not like the ones that you get from the beauty, supply store that are like ninety nine cents and it's like cheap elastic. This is like a hard or plastic really really sturdy, and it comes with this case again. I will link this in my amazon store. So, as you get closer to the ends, you may feel a little bit dry because again the ends are the oldest part of the hair. So when I get to the end, I will add a little bit of my moisturizer use whatever moisturizer you like. This is the one I like just a little bit, because we don't want to make the hair too wet cause. Then it will shrink up on us. I really want to keep the length so a little bit of that and then comb through the ends again and braid it all the way down. Okay, I'm gon na show you how I attach the beads. I use the speed three sorry, the girls like shoot this up. You can get their bet, any beauty, supply store or you can order them off of Amazon. I will, if I remember I'll, try to remember to link some in my Amazon store. You can click that in the description box I use 10 beads for the length of her hair. If your daughter has shorter hair, you can use less or if she is longer here, you can use more, but I use 10. Another reason why I like these visas, they're not that heavy I've, also in the past, used the this size beads, and these are really can get a little bit heavy. So I don't put as many on only put like three to five on, so what I do with the beat that are in my braid it down, and then I put the braid in the hole, push and then push the beads up on the hair. Then take the last bead pull it down to the ends and then fold it up like this, like this, then take a black rubber band. I get my black rubber bands from the Dollar Tree small black rubber band and then I'm going to wrap this around over and over and over again. Okay. So now I'm going to continue to do probably just two more braids on this side and then we'll move up to the next row. Okay, I've got the two rows and the back all done something to note here. I try to stack the braids so that they're not exactly lined up so it makes it look fuller um! I could have done them a little bit smaller up here of a girl the same I'm tired of Reagan, Warner, hair for so many days now, but it's cool. This will still last at least a minimum of two weeks, and I will look at it. You know at two weeks to see but yeah I stack it so that you know they're not exactly lined up, and so now I'm going to just oil in between each braid looks me open that up just drop it down like that and then rub it in And and so now, I'm just going to part, the top is just a really simple style here. I'M a part, that's happen to two sections and have this side going back this way and this side going back this way she wanted reading pink and green. So that's what we did here. So let me part in then I'll show you what I'm talking about. Okay, so I parted it in two sections here, it's like a slanted part. It'S not straight, I'm explanted to the right. So what I'm gon na do is break this side. Just going back like at an angle like this and I'll show you once I'm done with a few. So this is how I braided it. I mean it's not perfect. Sorry, the Sun is kind of bright on this other side. It'S not that tight and it's okay, because we want to preserve the edges. Hashtag save the edges, so it's not very tight at all, and it's neat enough. So now I'm gon na do this side and I'll show you when I'm done alright. So I wanted to show you this, as I do braid her edges here, because it's important that you preserve the edges. I'M really working on that myself, just to be gentle with her edges, not to pull it. It'S! Okay! If it's not neat, you can add extra jamaican black, castor oil and kind of massage it okay. So I'm going to show you like how I rip the hair, how I grab the hair so that I'm not pulling it tightly. I put a little bit of water on there and I'm massaging the product in start-up here and I'm just gon na so gently grab the hair you're, not gon na pull it very, very gently we're having a little bit of hair at a time. It'S okay! If it's not neat, I'm gon na continue to braid and put the bead on okay. It'S been about, let's see about three hours, but you know I take my time. We'Re finally done good job baby. So let me show you the last thing that I do once we're done. Is I put a little bit of mousse on it just to lay down on the flyaways there's, not many or anything, and I her scalp what I do every three to four days I'll. Just put like some sort of moisturizer a leaving conditioner on it, I'll just run it over her braids, just to keep make sure her hair's moisturize, and now I'm just adding the mousse to her hair. Like so lay it down - and I this is just the most - that I have style and shine mousse, it's not anything. That'S like a super hold or anything like that. It'S just good enough and it smells really good, which is a plus then it'll dry. You see the little white residue, but that will dry we're all done. Oh look at that pretty girl hahaha. So this is the finished result. This is a really basic, easy style to do turn around baby turn all the way around there you go, and now it's all done. She is all done. Whoo. Look at that pretty baby. Look at that pretty girl, pretty girl, pretty girl hold on baby. Let me see, can you cut the light back up? Oh my goodness girl, oh she's cute! So yes, so that's it guys. Leave a comment down below and let me know if you'd like to see more hair care videos more of the styles that I do for my daughters and the different ways I braid and put beads in their hair. Sometimes I do twists and also let me know if you'd like to see a full routine for my oldest daughter Zara, whose hair is a completely different texture than my youngest daughter. Amelia: Aww you’re such a good mom. What a great idea - imagine how many adoptive parents will find this useful! Or even birth parents looking to improve their children’s hair care! This is awesome :)

ASMR with Lisa: You’re awesome! My husband is multiracial and our biggest struggle has been our kids hair. They’re each so different and my mil just shaved my husband head instead of learning to care for it. I want our babies to love their hair and be confident in how it looks and how to take care of it. ❤️ Thanks for this video! I hope to see more like it.

Christina Cottrell: So much love and care put into your girls hair. You’re a great mom!

wendy luna: Ava is so pretty! She has a gorgeous curl pattern...please...don't ever straighten it! Both of you did an amazing job on this video!

Sacred Lady: I didn't hear her ask if you were done not one time, that's amazing. She's a such a doll, I'd love to see Zara's routine as well.

Sheila Felix: Gia thank you for this video. I am Irish/Italian. So why would I be interested in hair care for a person of color? Well I am a nurse and I have had patients (do to social difficulties) have been hospitalized up to a year! I have no problem with skin care and keeping my patients skin moisturized but washing hair has been difficult. I never want to hurt my patient but I feel that having a clean scalp and even a simple style will help my patient feel better. I have tried to study up on caring for different hair types but watching you helps so much! I will keep this video on my list to reference when I next have a patient who needs a hair and scalp wash!

Lindsay Diaz: You’re such a great mama!!❤️ These are such sweet moments that are going to be great memories for your girls when they get older. These every day things end up being so special. I admire your patience and hers too! She is a beautiful girl with such a sparkle in her eyes!!!

Angela Polly: OH MY GOODNESS!! This is like Christmas to me!! Thank you for this video!! It is so detailed and helpful to this foster and adoptive mama of two beautiful black daughters!

Ivette Chipuli: I love how well you take care of your girls ❤️ her hair is so beautiful ❤️

lealea j: Oh, and yes, would love to see other wash day/style videos, for your other daughter and yourself.

Andrea Clinton: This brings back so many memories of getting my hair done. Loving how times have changed for us black women more mommy's celebrating and caring for their daughters natural hair rather than relying on relaxer. Ava I'm tender headed too so I feel ya pain ‍♂️

Xiomara Guajardo: This is such a sweet video. I've always wondered about all the things that go into maintaining black hair. I have curly hispanic hair, but I can get away with just throwing some mousse in it. You were so patient and tender with Ava and she was such a patient little doll! I would really love to see Zara's too! And yours!

tnmingle: Ava is a super cutie first of all! Love her smile! Thank you soooo much this helps me sooo much, because I was always a permed hair kid. And I haven’t had a perm in the last 2 years but I have my stylist do it every 2-3 weeks and braids when since we have had a stay at home order but my baby girl Merci is 6 and is natural and I take her to a stylist who braids her hair every 3-4 weeks. But with the stay at home order I need to learn how to do something but I need to get some of these products. I think I could braid it but I need to get some detangler. I have been combining it dry, bad! Thank you so much!

Jennifer Rideaux: Thank you so much for sharing this tutorial!! My daughter is mixed and her hair leans more to her dads hair. I have asked so many people over the years what to do, what to use, how to properly wash her hair, etc. and I have gotten so, so many mixed messages. This is so very helpful!! I would also love to see more tutorials like this and the process you go through with your oldest daughters hair

Lynette Price: Your great with your daughter's hair! I grew up traumatized by hair day mom was so rough back in the day and didn't have much patience I ended up with a perm at 10 years old. A big mistake now in hindsight Now 8 years back natural with healthy hair and still tender headed lol

Deb K: Kudos to you, Mama. That’s a LOT of work. How very patient Ava is. You both deserve a treat. I love the beads!

Amanda: ❤️❤️❤️ You are such an amazing mum!!! I love the way you are always reinforcing how beautiful your daughter is (and her hair!!!) When she saw herself in the camera with her natural hair all out and she said, “ooh, I look cute!!” Testament to what an amazing job you’re doing mama!!! ❤️ You’re all such a beautiful family xxxxxxx

OWC Clubhouse: Love your videos, I hope everyone Is healthy and well in your household. I would like to see you do a hair tutorial with your older daughter because her hair texture is more like mine. I can't wait for your next video have a great blessed day.

Cassie Cross: I have asked a few times for this video. Thank you so much for posting this, I would LOVE for you to do more hair videos! Please!!! You do SUCH an awesome job!!

Anna w: It is so cute that your daughter does her doll's hair while you do her's

Britney Grey: Perfect timing I was just doing my sons hair, Shea butter works so great on his dry scalp.

Jana Young: I have little boys that normally keep their hair kinda low but with everything going on it'll be a while before they go back to the barbershop so this really helps as far as keeping their hair moisturized. Thanks

Alieya Hall: Beautiful daughters!! I have a three month old baby girl and I’m so excited for her hair to grow so I can braid it

R.D R.D: I just did a whole hair week on my channel. I love the care you put in.

Tripp: A wet brush is a must for everyone's hair. Life-changing!

Erin Frasch: Would love to see your hair care routine for yourself Jia ❤️

Tiffany C: I love your daughter's personality and confidence. She's adorable.

DIY Power Couple: I love this hair care video for little girls! I am going to try the braid stretching and air dry before styling with mine. Thank you and Yes, I would love to see more!

lealea j: Great video. Just a thought: It might be easier to detangle her hair, that second time, after the deep conditoner has sat, instead of detangling right after putting the conditoner in. That gives the conditoner little to work a little better, soften the hair, and then makes it ALOT easier. This way work wonders on my hair. I also am tender headed, and have a very similar texture as your daughter's hair. Also, do you moisturize the girls hair between wash days ( mist with with water, aloe juice, etc or oil their scalps) since they wear alot of braided styles? Have a blessed day! And great job on this video... Your love for your daughters definitely shows.

D H: This was great. So many good tips. I would love to see your older daughter’s haircare.

Rainbow_girl: Beautiful! I have 3 daughter and this was a big help and inspiration. Thank you and would love to see more hair care videos.

Third Girl: Jia! Great video. Well done. My background is over 25 years in the beauty industry (skincare, makeup and haircare). As a black woman who also grew up tenderheaded lol.. I can 100% empathize with the power of water to allow the hair shaft to open up in preparation for the products. Having a gentle touch as you do and taking your time is key! So many women of color struggle with what yo do with their child's hair and wind up causing a lot of damage or putting extensions or relaxers in the hair. Both of which can cause a great deal of damage/breakage especially to the edges. Your daughter also trusts you and you are teaching her to value, care for and treat her natural hair with respect. I hope your video gets a million views!!! Would love to see your other daughter's process too. And would you consider doing one too?

Brandi Nicole: Thank you for posting this video! My son has a similar hair type and I’ve been so clueless how to care for his hair. I’ve been braiding it, but I didn’t know how long I could leave it up or how to keep it moisturized. Your girl’s hair always looks so good!!

Hannah Kayee: Thank you for sharing Gia! Yes I've been waiting for this! I would love to see more! ❤

Jo Ann Hurt: Luv your video this method also works for adults, I have mini twist in for about 3 weeks and I do the same steps! Very cute.

Byla Kali: I would love to see more. I have thick, wild, curly hair and at 34 I still don’t know what I am doing with it. It ends up in a frizz ball bun every.single.day.

Livin' with the Edges: You rock, Jia. I loved this so much. Currently, my babies all Caucasian, Hispanic, or mixed (but with fine dark hair). But since we have been foster/adopt parents in the past it seems like that chapter of our lives is never closed and we never know when a new child might need a home for a bit. ❤️❤️ if that ever happens—-girl, I will be emailing you and begging for some one on one help!

DeedeesCraftees: Love it Thank you for sharing your routine and your beautiful model, she’s too cute. I would love to see how you style your hair with natural curls.

Miriam: Oh you do such a wonderful job. Love how you look after their hair. I can't imagine the work involved. I'm 65 Australian with straight grey fine hair that needs washing twice a week! The beadwork is so girly. Love love love it

Jessica B: “I’m sure everyone knows how to cornrow” Me: Nope! Please show!

Mandy B.: She is so cute! Growing up fast

kiara taylor: Wow this was so helpful. You were giving your daughter the Esther treatment lol not sure if you're familiar with that story from the Bible (Esther 2:12) This was like a full spa treatment for her hair. Very thorough and she's so precious. Great job :)

Jan T: That was fascinating to me!!!! Please do more hair videos and skin care too. Love your channel Jia! Hang in there lady!

Nyla Rose: When this baby said, "I look so cute" my heart flipped! ❤

Danni Face: Beautiful baby girl and style. More hair styling/ hair care videos please!

Tanishia Hicks: I’m so glad you did this, I love to see other routines to incorporate some suggestions with mine thank you!!!!

Alisha Amaya: Pretty girl Ava!! Great job. Thank you for being so detailed.

Yangie Mouie: I really appreciate this video. I’ve always been interested in learning how others do their hair. Thank you for sharing!

Laury Amill: Gorgeous!!! My son hes 12 has long hair in the top of his head and shaved in the back. I usually send him to get his braids done and have the barber shave the bottom. Ohhh my God this quarantine has that child looking... lol... crazy!!! I cannot braid hair to save my life...my poor baby... lol

Adventures of Everly and Aimee: I want to thank you for sharing your hair products, I purchased the soultanicals detangler. It has truly changed my baby and I’d wash and style routine!! Thank you again!

xk3ll3yx: You have the patience of an angel! And her hair looks perfect! My mom just chopped my hair all off cause she didn’t know about conditioner apparently when I was a kid lol. BTW my hairs naturally curly and very frizzy (unlike my pic)

ClandestineGirl16X: Awww your kids are too cute! You're such a super mom!

The Music Therapy Channel: My daughter had hair like Zara's. It was so thin when she was little, but it got thicker as she got older. I loved combing her hair. I always had to be careful of her edges. She would get sores if her hair was pulled to tight. I always wish I could braid it back then. She's 28 now, but every blue moon, she wants me to twist it. She's completely natural. Unfortunately, I can't do natural. My hair is just too thick even at 50.

Lillyrain Blue: Thank you for showing us this. Work childcare and unfortunately we have kiddos that dont have proper care on their hair. Such detail and I thank you. Had few kiddos that hair was dry that it was breaking and falling out. Appreciate all the information

To Each Their Own Home: Jia you just blessed me! Thank you so much, yes more please. The girls are both Sooo cute

Cheyenne’s Choice: Ava is very patient. I love the hair style x

tnmingle: Yes I would like to see more and on your other daughter hair.

Jen H.: Such adorable girls. You are a terrific Mom!

Hannah Kayee: Ava doing her dolls hair! I need to get one because this unicorn isn't doing the trick for sit still times!

Mom Is Bomb: Yes thank you so much for this I have 3 heads of hair to do and I’m happy you made this video I would love to see like a video or compilation video of the different hairstyles you do btw I love you and you channel day one supporter

Royal one: Your girls must love all the one on one time doing their hair. You have beautiful daughters.

Ivy McLeod: I don't have children yet and I have to honestly say this is one thing that intimidates me if I ever have a girl. So thank you for this!

Mystified: Would love to see your oldest daughter's hair done. I'm white and my kids are grown but I find it SO interesting how you do your their hair. Originally I thought...wow....that's a TON of work. But in retrospect, it's just (at least from my perspective knowing very little) seems like you spend several hours and then it's good for a few weeks (except occasional conditioning) but with white kids, it's not nearly as intense but we do our hair constantly. Wash daily or every other day, style daily (sometimes multiple times a day depending on what's going on). Loved the video! I have so much respect for the amount of time you spent doing their beads. Having two daughters going to school (when we were not in quarantine) must take half the day if you did them both the same day.

Anna w: I would love to see more hair care videos!

Jessica B: Love this Jia! I wasn’t aware of the process! Can coconut oil be used?

Dayo Ade: Thank you, thank you I am constantly looking for videos for little girl hair. I am happy you did a video on her hair care routine. Please do more.

Iya Ibeji: Man she’s too adorable. You really do a great job

Mom Is Bomb: Also I learned how to cornroll so I would love to see your different style ideas

C W: Was very interesting. I remember the days my mom would lay me on the counter to get my hair washed. Oh and how I remember the combouts Jesus! Makes sense to do it this way. When I do my hair now Im like Jesus im gonna have to detangle all this stuff. Dont be surprised you see a grown woman laying on your counter waiting for a wash! Lol! Be blessed! No everyone cant braid or part

Lila2cute: Yes, more hair care videos ✌
