I hope you guys are all doing well! Today I am showing you a quick way to style your natural hair, if you are pressed for time. We all know that natural hair styles can take a long time to set so this is a way around that. Oh yeah, if my hair seems shorter, well that is because this video is nearly a YEAR old! It’s so interesting going back and see the progress of my hair. It is actually much longer now, and I never realize how much it grows - with shrinkage and all!
You don’t need to use a hooded dryer, you can let your hair dry for longer or use a blow dryer!

Hey guys welcome back to my channel this isn't the videos that I wanted to upload today, but everything that's going on in the world, I'm just gon na get myself to film, but we didn't want to miss a day. So I'm uploading this video that I had sitting on my harddrive since the last year. Yes, this was filmed back in july 2019. Dont, you judge me. I have a lot of those sitting on my hard drive anyways today, i'm going to show you how you can do your hair quickly quickly in quotation marks, because we all know natural hair takes a long time to do half of the time you should set your Hair tonight before, but this is all done in one shot, just a couple of hours, so I'm actually starting my hair extremely dry, but I'm going to mist it with the up natural hair mist that this will allow me to get some moisture into my hair, but Also make it malleable enough so that I can actually style it and also put enough moisture into my hair that it will set into the style that I wanted to set into I'm going to follow up with the innate life scalp treatment. Just because my hair was kind of dirty at that point it was going to help me moisturize and take care of my scalp. At the same time, I don't know if you guys remember. Last year I was dealing with a few bald spots and this was kind of like a little progress report of what was going on. My bald spot was growing in so I was really happy about that. So every time I did my hair I have to Jack. We are basically going to set our hair into flat twists. What'S important with this style is how you set your twist or the direction that your twists go into, because that will determine how your hair comes out at the end. So, to set my hair, I'm going to flat twist the front going towards my face and then I'm going to do the back towards the back. You'Ll see what I mean in a second to set my hair, I'm going with a styling lotion. Typically, I wouldn't use something so light, but for the purpose of me trying to style my hair all in one shot, I'm not using any products, that's heavy, because I want my hair to dry. Don'T you worry, I am planning on filming and uploading a how to flat twist video, because I think it's absolutely important that any natural know how to flat twist that's was seeing, is super easy to do and yields beautiful results in my opinion, so I will have A tutorial on how to flat twist coming this month. So don't you worry, so this is directions that I decided to set my hair kind of important, especially for the front, because I will allow the front of my hair to fall towards my face and I really liked the vibe that he gave me. So I'm going to continue to part my hair use the styling lotion flat twist and move on to the next section when I'm done with my flat twist, I'm actually going to use a bobby pin to secure them in place. If you notice my hair is actually shrinking and bunching up. I don't really want that. I want my flat twist to lay flat towards my face, so I'm going to use a bobby pin to help keep my hair in place. It doesn't happen if the flat twists are small enough, but if there are medium sized, then my hair shrinks up in bulk up. My hair is just such a rebel, so I'm going to let my hair set that way. So I'm going to shower do my makeup and to help with the process I'm actually going to sit under the hooded dryer. While I do my makeup, I only sought under the dryer for about an hour, but because my hair wasn't originally wet, it wasn't even really damp when I said it. It is easy for me to get away with that now, it's time to take down the flat twist. I personally like doing flat twist, because look at that definition it gives you such a nice style. On top of that, you can actually wear your flat twist and then take a mount for like the two-in-one hair stuff. You know I really like flat twists. I can't believe I don't have a tutorial on it yet. Another reason why I like flat toys is, when you take down the twists, you're, actually able to kind of separate your hair at the same time, so you don't have to go back and separate and potentially ruin your style. I don't have anything bad to say about flattening or flat twists out, so once I take out the flat twist, you can tell that my hair is actually looking pretty good, but I am going to fluff it out a little bit more with a pic just. So I get a little bit more volume, especially on top once that's done, you're basically done really just finishing touches and boom. You have a style, that's done within three hours: that's not bad! In the world of natural hair, that's not bad at all! So to follow up, it is now a nine o'clock and I wanted to turn on the camera to show you what my hair looks like. So I didn't use anything. That'S like a gel or anything that's going to give my hair hold just because I didn't plan on wearing this style for long. I just really wanted to go somewhere and look cute, but anyways. I just wanted to show you how my natural hair sort of like took over and my kinks took over and it just really made the style even more beautiful. I like it more when it's less define. Look at this. James Davis: The video title clearly says “when your in a rush” and I wasn’t expecting flat twists and twist outs. I was hoping you would moisturize your hair first by misting it or spritzing with lukewarm water then apply styling cream or gel by ‘crunching’ your hands in your hair while avoiding the scalp and just fluff it out with your fingers for at least 5 to 10 minutes on the rest of your head. For these rushed styles I was also hoping the time would last for 20 or 30 minutes, but if the rush involves getting ready for a night out or a job interview then waking up very early is recommended and also having a good night sleep (as in go to bed early).
