What'S up y'all welcome back to my channel so for today's video i'm gon na be doing um. This super cute very easy protective style for maya. We were getting ready to go out of town, and so i needed a style where i didn't have to touch her hair for at least a week. Okay, so i did this protective style. This is a detangler that i picked up from walmart. It'S all right. I mean i guess i like it: it's all right, um and i'm also going to be adding the camille rose. Curl love, which is my favorite moisturizer, along with the camille, rose ultimate growth serum. If you're new. Here i do the like method. So before every single style, i always add a leave-in, a cream and an oil. So really it's the lco method, but i say the lock method, um, because you could do it in any any order. I'Ve even seen people mix their oil with the with the cream before they apply it. You know, do you whatever, but just letting. You know why i'm why i'm layering products like that? Okay, so i already kind of got started on this style, because i wanted to make sure i knew what i was doing: okay, because i've never really done this, i'm going to be using these smooth edges by dream, girls um! Now i do like this product. It'S like a edge control with a lot lighter, so since maya's hair is very fine and very thin, i feel a little more comfortable using um. This tamer, as opposed to you, know an actual edge control. So i'm just going to put these in little ponytails and you see me kind of tugging on it. You want to make sure that these ponytails are not too tight, okay or it's going to hurt when you're trying to crochet the um the passion twist. In also i'm using do grow on the ends of her hair to make sure the ends of her hair is moisturized okay. So this is a really really really easy style and i thought it was super cute and she loved it. This is definitely going to be a go-to style, probably all summer. Okay, so make sure y'all are subscribed. So y'all get all my protective styles that i'm doing this summer, um so you're going to need a latch hook, and i apologize. I forgot to film the hair, but there is like the packaging, so you guys would know what it is, but it's the freetress passion twist and it is linked in the description box. If you would like to see a picture so um come on camera all right. So there's a little hole at the top of each twist. So what i do is i stick something in that hole to make it bigger so that i can get my finger through there and you're going to take your latch hook and you're going to go kind of angled from the bottom of the ponytail. Don'T go from the top or the rubber band will be exposed, so you want to go in from the bottom, pull the latch hook through put the twist on the latch hook, and i do this twice because i am aware that my hands being away sometimes uh Pull the twist underneath the ponytail and then you're gon na grab the twist and her hair and you're gon na pull it back through the hole. So i have her hair in the twist pull it back through the hole, pull it taut and um. I kind of fish her hair through the twist at the top just to make sure it's in there and i'm going to twist it around in order to hide the twist now. Another way to do this is you could just take your latch hook and um pull it through the twist, as opposed to twisting it in, because i'm not even gon na lie. After about day, four, her hair started peeking out of the passion twist and i had to retwist um. So if you want it more secure, i would say: use the latch hook and fish it through the the middle of the twist, as opposed to just twisting it around. So i'm going to show you guys this one more time i think, or maybe a couple more times, just to make sure you got it, but it's so easy, so so easy and so cute. And if you try this, i want to see pictures. Okay. So send me pictures on instagram all right, so so now, i'm just going to kind of you know um polish, her edges using that same um, um tamer that i used before the smooth edges because, like i said, maya's hair is really fine um. She she just doesn't need a whole lot of um product on her edges for them to lay down - and this is the whole style um - really really easy. I think it took me about an hour and a half, but it would have been less than that. If i had known what i was doing from the start, i think you could definitely get this style done in about an hour. It does not take long at all, so here i'm just showing you some different ways. You can do it. She typically wore it like this or um she wore like a bun at the top in the background, um yeah. This is the whole style. Let me know if you're going to try this and, of course i had to add a bow. You know. So she didn't look too brown, okay, so anyway, thank you so much for watching this video. If you like this video, give me a thumbs up and please subscribe, and i will see you in the next video. Alright love, you guys bye. You
