Hello: everyone today, I'm going to walk you through my hair routine, since I have had a lot of questions in the past couple months. Regarding my hair and I have long hair, it's all natural and recently I put in some highlights I've been taking better care of my hair than I normally do, and because I don't do a lot of styling to my hair, I really do attribute the health and Look of my hair to the products that I use so today my hair is being a little unmanageable. Ironically, it's today when I filmed the hair video, but I'll start with my crystal East shampoo by Kerastase. This is for a long, thick hair and though I don't necessarily have the thickest of hair. I do have quite a bit of it, especially down here because of my layers. It really helps with the voluptuous look of my hair. I do blow-dry it's straight every night, so it's nice to have a shampoo that doesn't weigh down my hair, I like to add as much body and volume as possible. So not only do I love the way. This smells it's a fruity floral and I just love how light it is and it gets all the dirt and grime out of my hair. But for those of you asking, I still really do love this. You Tamura cleansing oil, shampoo and obviously you can see I've run through so many bottles of this. I really love how gentle this stuff is, and usually I'll use this on a day where I haven't really done what much with my hair, but I wash my hair every single day. I can't I can't skip washing my hair. It drives me nuts, so usually after the gym I'll use this one. When my hair hasn't really been exposed to any elements, then I'll just go ahead and use this very gentle shampoo and now for the hair mask and conditioner. I don't use a conditioner every single day. I know I probably should because my ends are highlighted, but I have recently been loving the kenra platinum, hydrating conditioner. It smells really nice, it's a rich moisturizing conditioner and I only put it through the ends of my hair. It smells just like my philosophy, strawberry milkshake, so if you are a fan of this particular body wash, I never use these on my hair, though, because I find them to way too dry so for the camera, it's very milky, so it is a very, very moisturizing Product, so if you have oily hair, you might not need that, but if you do have colored panels down below the ends of the hair always tend to be a little bit more dry. So I like to run this through the ends of my hair, before completing my hair, washing cycle and now for the hair mask. I really love again the scent of this Crystal East product range. I find that it makes it's not too strong. It'S not overpowering and the scent doesn't linger too much for those of you who don't like fragrances, but this mask I can use from root to tip it's not too heavy. It really adds body and life to my hair, but it adds just the right amount of moisture. I don't like super soft silky hair. I, like kind of messy tousle, similar to that sea salt spray kind of finish. That'S what my hair naturally looks like now before we move into the finishing products. I just wanted to discuss a really big hair, miss that I've been. You know, waiting to tell you guys about for months now. I bought this Bumble and Bumble creme de cocoa, tropical riche conditioner with nut oil. It'S a coconut nut oil and this is probably the worst conditioner and probably one of the more expensive conditioners that I've ever purchased and before I discovered Kerastase and Shimura several years ago. I had tried lots of different product, but bumble and bumble x' creme de cocoa is probably the most disappointing conditioner I've ever used. It does nothing for my hair, I mean literally, my hair feels exactly the same with or without it, no matter how long I keep this conditioner in one time. I left it in for over 15 minutes, and you know when I took it out. It just didn't. Have any effect so I've been using it, I've been trying to get rid of it, but I've really tried every possible way to make this work. I know bumble and bumble has a huge cult following, but in general I really haven't had much luck with their products. Now we'll talk about the final to finishing product, the shamora essence absolute is a nourishing protective oil and this is more like a treatment and sometimes when I skip conditioner, I will go ahead and just shampoo, my hair and then hop out of the shower towel dry. It and run a little bit of this essence, absolutely through the ends of my hair, and it essentially replaces my conditioner and my ends feel really soft and smooth. Just as if I had used something like the camera, you know standard in shower conditioner, but the Kerastase crystals crystals sculpt, which is a double CRM skull. This double serum thing is really popular where there's two different products in one bottle and it pumps it out. At the same time, this is more like a shine serum, so I like to put this through the ends of my hair, and sometimes do you know the top here where my scalp is because I have a lot of baby hair still, they won't go away. I'Ll probably have them for the rest of my life, but this is a great smoothing product and it adds a lot of shine to my hair, whereas the Shimura, though it does, adds shine, it's more deeply nourishing, so it actually goes to treat split ends. So I love this and highly recommend it. They protect my hair yet maintain the style that I like, which is difficult to do. You know that balance is a very fine line, but many of you have been asking me about my hair, so this must be working for me and I have been using these products for a very long time about four months, so clearly they're doing their job, and I think they're proving their worth. Ultimately, it's really finding out about what works best with your hair and what you like best. So the goals that you have in mind can be achieved using products proved right here and now. Last but not least, for blow-drying, I really only used two blow drying products. I know I discussed a lot of product in the video already, so I hate to overwhelm you, but I probably save the best for last. So this is not hair care. Really. This is more styling, but the johnathan creates smooth anti frizz. Volumizing serum is made of essential waters, it's all under percent vegan for those of you who are vegan and appreciate vegan products. Unfortunately, this product is discontinued, but I know hollar deals does have this at a discounted rate, so definitely use this it. This is the actual size of the bottle, believe it or not. It'S only 1.7 fluid ounces and I just think about 2 pumps worth on my heat on. My palms spread the product between my palms to warm it up and then just massage it through the scalp right here, focusing on the crown of my head and farther down toward the nape of my neck and that just really adds volume and body in the back. Where I need it the most, but for the ends of my hair as a heat protectant, I use the Kerastase resistance cement. There me this is the vitae cement top seal and this is for brittle damaged hair, and this is the best product that I've used to protect the ends of my hair, while I'm blow-drying. So I always blow-dry my hair upside down, and I have showed this in a video before and just as a reference. I have tried other Kerastase heat protectants before in orange bottles and whatnot, but I find that it really helps protect my ends from becoming more damage and from splitting after I had my own bright highlights. Put in my hair was starting to split so I freaked out, and I just found that this leave-in product really helped the ends of my hair, and I don't have to use too much. I just pour it out a little bit on my palms spread it through. My hair and then brush it out at the ends flip my hair upside down and blow dry. It simple as that this is the haircare and styling routine that I've been searching for for years, and now my hair is in a much healthier place. This is my natural hair color here at the top. I do have some dyed black and the highlights that I mentioned earlier still here at the bottom, I'm going to let my roots grow completely and then cut off all the hair color it's gon na. Take me a quite a while to do that, because my hair isn't growing as fast as it once did, but you know what I think it will be worth it in the end and after that I am never messing with color again. It is a lot of work to maintain colored hair, but, like I said this routine has been pretty good. Oh and I did forget, I forgot to show you the product that I am using to keep my roots healthy. This is the Kerastase advanced, scalp and hair. Concentrate called initial east, and this is what really keeps my hair healthy up top here. I just find that the initial least spread throughout my hair. I use this only once a week, but I can still see the difference. My scalp is a lot more comfortable and even when I don't use conditioner and people freak out when I say I don't use conditioner every single time, I wash my hair, I use the initial least, and it just makes my scalp, you know, feel restored. So I really do hope that you found this informative and again I'll list all the products down below I'll post extra tidbits on my blog, the review calm as well for those interested and if you have any further tutorial or even video requests, just leave them down For me, in the comments below thanks so much for tuning in and I'll see you all very soon bye,

BeLinspired: I love how comprehensive your reviews are! Super helpful : ) Love the eye look worn, too ;)

swtd12eams: You look great as always, Rae! I just recently started using the Shu Uemura Cleansing Oil Shampoo and love the smell of it. I was only using it once every other day since I wasn't sure if I could use it everyday (as I wash my hair everyday like you). Also, I see you answered a question I had about the Shu Uemura Essence Absolue. I wasn't sure if it could be used on damp hair.

sidekickdumpling: Love your makeup in this video! Also have you tried the clear line of shampoo and conditioners? They're whole motto is like about nourishing the scalp and I think its pretty good :O

RAEview: I've tried them in the past (nearly 5 years ago), but I do remember I didn't love them enough to repurchase.. Nothing works better for my me than Kerastase and SU. I've been using the Cleansing Oil Shampoo for nearly two years now, and it's just as effective on my hair now as it was when I first tried it! :)

RAEview: It definitely seems to be a "love it or hate it" product! I will be sticking to my favorites by Kerastase and Shu Uemura from now on since I know my hair likes them

denisiel1: CdC leaves my thin straight hair looking like hay after the harvest. Love Kerastase - especially the Masquintense for Fine Hair, incredible. Also the Fekkai Glossing Shampoo & Conditioner. Going to try the Kerastase Masque Cristal on your recommendation!

Ashleigh Epps: You were so energetic in this video, I loved it :). Even though we have completely different hair types I really enjoyed watching the video.

RAEview: I love the smell, too! I used it every day until I found the Cristalliste.. I tried other products here and there, but I like the effects of those two on my hair most. It doesn't exactly direct you to use the EA that way, but I decided to give it a go and it worked beautifully! Please let me know the method works out for you, too ;)

Selina Lo: I'm not into makeup (more fashion oriented) but I watch you solely for your eloquence and demeanour. Refreshing to see someone on Youtube who is so well spoken.

RAEview: Thank you! You never cease to make me laugh. Maybe I should give the smaller-sized CdC shampoo version a try.. And it's milk, not goo ;) It definitely works because I rarely have splits anymore!

RAEview: I've used the Bamboo before, but it flattens out the crown of my hair! Glad it works for you :)

Marita Vestland: Have you tried Pureology and Redken? I love their lines, and totally reccomend them. Kerastase comes from same company that produces Redken/Lorèal. So they include alot of same ingredients ^^

ruth: You can use the Bumble and Bumble conditioner as shaving cream! Conditioners help give an easier shave and softer legs :) a suggestion to finish it off!

Jenn-Birdie: Hello! I've only tried the Bb deeep conditioner (which is okay, not fantastic in my opinion) and tried a sample from Sephora of the Bb super rich conditioner which I actually liked a lot better! My all-time fave is the Kiehl's Sunflower color preserving conditioner.

RAEview: I was very excited to share! Thanks so much for taking the time to watch despite the hair differences :)

Weijia Li: Hi Rae, have you tried Neil George Gooseberry oil? It's a hair treatment oil and I found it light-weight and smell pleasant. I got it as a sample and soon I ordered one when it was on sale at beauty.com. I do not use curling iron so I cannot say it is very effective on hair damage but it does keep moisturizing. You may have a try:) Also it comes in a glass bottle.

Nicole Deitz: I use the alterna bamboo line and its amazingggg:D U should try it great to use if you blow dry your hair a lot

RAEview: That's precisely it! No detangling properties.. I haven't tried any of their shampoos, but I'd really be reluctant to try them now. Thanks so much for you input :)

Jennifer Holloway: Have you used any of the Alterna shampoo/conditioners? I really like their Bamboo Luminous Shone set. I also really like Agave shampoo/conditioner too. Aside from making my hair look great you only need a tiny amount of the product. Even a quarter size amount of the shampoo is a lot - can't believe it lathers up so much!

RAEview: I've tried the Lingerie de Peau, which is a bit too moisturizing for my normal skin. You might want to keep in mind that I prefer matte and long wearing.. those are just my preferences! And I likely will not be reviewing the Guerlain BB cream, since BB creams tend to break me out. My sincerest apologizes xo

Enchanteralle: I have fine hair that always needs a bit of volume. Sometimes my hair break easily too so I need to take better care of my hair. Which of these specific products would you recommend for my condition? Thanks.

RAEview: The Initialiste cured my scalp when it dried out briefly during the winer :)

hopznhoofz: @raeview as far as you know, would the Initialiste help with strengthening the scalp so hair doesnt fall out as easily?

Julie: Yay :) What's your opinion on the shu uemura cleansing oil for the face? I've been thinking of investing in them~

RAEview: My hair is normal, in between fine and thick.. it's just in the middle of most every category. Naturally straight but prone to frizz!

RAEview: I use other products in place of traditional conditioner on the days I skip it.. though it helps to balance the hair, it's not necessarily moisturizing so I wouldn't recommend using the shampoo alone!

RAEview: Definitely do! Kenra is great considering it's affordable!

Q Jin: I wash my hair everyday and I don't use conditioner everyday neither....Everytime I tell someone abt it they freak out... So it was really nice to know I am not alone...

RAEview: I don't really use detanglers anymore, but the Shu Uemura Depsea Spray or Enjoy Conditioning Spray are my top two :)

PixPlz: love your makeup and love your hair!

lisalikesprinkles: Tutorial on this look! You look fab :)

Shan: thanks for this video ! going to go check out some of these products :)

RAEview: The link to the full list is at the top of the description box.. it's a pencil by Hourglass! :)

RAEview: Thank you! It's been a while since I wore a smoky eye.. decided to play with some new products :)

RAEview: That is so hilarious! Other comments have suggested the same thing.. such an expensive shaving cream, though lol

RAEview: Thank you! I really appreciate you taking the time to watch xo

Smugnificent: your hair is always lovely :)

Daniela C.: I hated the B&B Creme de Coco conditioner too. Love the shampoo and like the mask though. But the conditioner was plain awful.

ablondee: I hated the Bumble and Bumble Creme too! The new surf shampoo line is MUCH better. I am going to try the Kerastase heat protectant because I like that shampoo as well. Thank you for sharing!

senoritaxlena: love the look!

Rachel Haytsidt: Lmao, the CdC conditioner literally is the worst I've ever used, as well. Made my hair feel like straw. The irony, is that the shampoo is fantastic and my all-time, favorite every day shampoo. Like, is it an inside joke at B&B headquarters? It baffles the fresh hell outta me. I've had a weird history with Kerastase, but I am curious about the scalp stuff and the green cement goo. Your hair looks great! ;D

RAEview: Some people's hair can tolerate it! Don't worry about what others say .. just keep up with what works for you! :)

Diana Y: Your eye makeup is awesome!!

RAEview: Yup, I used Alterna before I discovered SU :)

samichhyaful: May I know what is your hair texture?? Thanks for your informative video! xoxo

Trinh N.: great video! thanks rae!!!!

RAEview: I always leave it in.. damp or dry!

sugaichigo: Wow never ending baby hairs!! Goshh i wish i had that. I feel like I'm balding at the hairline. Do you have any tips on hair growth. Rae? What shampoo should i use?

latenightminutes: Hi Rae, do you do anything to style your bangs? Or would you have any reco's for styling flat bangs and adding volume? Thanks so much in advance :)

RAEview: I'm not sure if that's in the literature, but my hair doesn't fall out quite so much as it used to! Shedding is normal, but I used to shed a lot lol

RAEview: I've heard all the buzz, but I haven't tried any of the products! I'm just sticking to the ones I reviewed because I've been using them for a while.. don't fix it if it ain't broke :)

Katherine Plans & Cleans it all: you should do the draw my life video!

Annie Richards: thank u for the tips, imma try some, I also use argan oil from pro naturals which is great for hair too. :)

Marita Vestland: That's good :) Just wanted to know. Thank you for reply! You're one of my fav beauty gurus <3

RAEview: Never! I can't use any shampoo that leaves residue.. I will end up washing my hair again before I head out of the shower.

RAEview: Thank you very much!

dani ela: Did kerastase sent you the products?

Rariimnida: I have not had a pleasant experience with any Bumble and Bumble products, including any from the Creme de Coco line. No good. The detangling properties of any of the shampoos and conditioners is non existent. I almost feel like I would've been better off not even washing my hair whenever I try a BB product. The ONLY product that is nice is the Hair dresser oil. But even that, there are much better products out there!

discoplate: Try using up the conditioner you don't care for as shaving creme., if you shave.

sweeettart0991: you are actually suppose to condition your scalp because that is the part your hair stay healthy. conditioning your ends which are dead does not help with the health of your hair.

RAEview: I did hear the BB Super Rich is better, but I'm not going to take my chances! And you're the first person to tell me they use Kiehl's hair product.. go you!

Grace: thank you first, watch second :X:X
