Do Scalp Massagers Really Work? | Fab Or Fail

Hey you guys it's Mindy from Cute Girls, Hairstyles and today I thought I'd do something totally different than our norm.. You can see we're not in our normal studio space, we're just doing super caj video, you guys and me.. I did that backwards. You and me you and me. I've been hearing a lot about head, massagers lately and the benefits of head massaging., And so we are going to test out a few today.. I have a whole bunch. I'Ve ordered off Amazon. We're gon na give'em, a try. See which ones we like, which ones we don't like. Some go in the shower, some require batteries.. So it's basically a head massaging, fab, ( bell, ding, ) or fail. So it says it helps to alleviate symptoms of headaches and prevent migraines.. I know that I get headaches when my hormones fluctuate a bunch, and so this would be a big help for me. Number. Two massaging your scalp can help encourage feelings of relaxation and calm, which would not be two words I would describe myself using either one. So again would be a great benefit to me. Number three. They boost endorphins, which are your happiness hormone, which is awesome.. So this is the same hormone that they say you can get released when you're exercising, which is why they say the benefits of exercising is super healthy.. It helps to stimulate circulation in the scalp which improves the texture of your hair, and they can even help boost hair growth.. One thing I do get asked a ton from my viewers and comments and questions on YouTube and Instagram are how to get your hair to grow faster, stronger healthier.. So it sounds like if this one's causing the circulation in your head to flow better. It'S gon na help boost your hair growth and increase your hair texture. Better betterness increase your hair in whatever.. It'S gon na help with your hair texture. If you're doing this long-term woo-hoo. Fifth and final is users report feeling calm and peaceful. Again, not words. I would normally use to describe myself., I'm gon na start with this one., This one's called the spider massager., And I think you guys have probably seen this one.. They sell these on Amazon, but I actually picked this one up in the store. And the idea behind this. One super basic super simple. Put it on your head and just run it down like this.. What'S going on here Up and down. And the little wire pokeys help to massage your scalp., It actually feels really good.. This one does feel really good. It kinda gives me the goosebumps. Ooh, it's giving me chills. Nothing super technical about this one. It doesn't hurt.. It'S a little tricky to just get them to go out correctly., But once you get'em that's a pretty picture right there.. Maybe we should make that the thumbnail. Perks to this one. It'S super easy to use doesn't require batteries., Obviously isn't supposed to go in the shower. It would probably rust., But overall ( bell ding ) thumbs up on this one. Next one okay., This one's, I think supposed to be similar to the spider.. I got this one on Amazon and it's just plastic and it has little metal beads. Can you see that on it that roll. And again super basic.? I mean this is not a technically challenging tool.. The only problem is it feels like it's rubbing over my head, but it doesn't feel like it's actually super massaging.. It doesn't even rub your head as hard as my hairbrush does.. I bet my dogs would like this one. ( whistles ) Come here. Pups. Ooh.. Does that feel good Ooh. Hi baby.? I just think it doesn't really feel like it's doing anything to my head, which makes me think it's probably not stimulating my hair, follicles or my scalp.. So I think this one doesn't apply enough pressure, ( buzzer ) for my taste. Zyllion. I got this one on Amazon., It's silicone and plastic, so this one you could put in the shower.. I believe this is one of the ones that says that it's a scalp, massager and shampooer. They're kind of rectangular shaped on here. And then just a little handhold. Ugh. Act as a brush.. Okay. The problem for me with this one in particular, is it's literally. These things are so stiff. The silicone on this is so stiff. There'S no movement.. Can you see how hard I'm having to push to get those to move It? Kinda hurts I'm having to push really hard.. No, I don't like this one. ( buzzer ), Nope, bye., Okay, so the next one up is. I don't know how to say that word. And I'll put all the links to all of these in the description box below so you can find'em.. This one is similar to the one I just did.. You can see the handle., It's all plastic, it would work in the shower as well, but you can see I'm not pushing very hard at all and those are moving. Around. And they're shaped different. These are pointy triangles., This one's better. It definitely has way more movement than the last one.. I actually think if I was gon na, try one in the shower. This would be the one I would try it with shampoo. Hey here we go.. I do actually feel like it's getting down to my scalp and really giving it a good scrub.. I don't know if it's better than my normal fingers, but it's definitely giving it a scrub., Maybe back there, where lots of people forget to scrub. This is the good one., So I might keep this one for in the shower.. I don't like that other one at all., So I wouldn't try that one.. This one moves around., It's still not as nice as the spider. I don't think, but it definitely has movement. ( bell, ding ), Actually kind of feels good on the back of my head., I'm gon na be so calm and so relaxed later today, you guys after doing this 45-minute head scrub. Moving on to some that require batteries.. This is called the Tezam.. It required two AAA's, which is such a weird battery.. That'S one of those batteries you either have or you don't have., And then you just push it's just a simple on/off. ( groans ) This one's vibrating in my hand, right here, probably more than it is in the tips.. It'S not really massaging it's just making. My feels, like my brain's, just bouncing around., I don't know how I feel about this one. ( buzzer, ), Okay, next.. Let'S try this one, the comb., The comb.. This one required AA batteries, which was nice ,'cause. I know I always have those. And then just pop this back on.. It does look like you can pop this little brush piece off and it opens up to a different brush, piece., Okay, so yeah. It opens up to this thing. Underneath.. I don't know anyway. And this one has an off and then a two-speed. ( buzzing ) Whoa. This one's definitely making my head rattle. ( groan, ). So I don't know if it's a comb, so I guess you're supposed to comb at the same time.. Are there directions It just feels like a vibrating hairbrush. Can be used as a massage stick after massaging your shoulders, your neck, your legs, your arms and so on., ( groan, ). The round tooth protects the scalp from being scratched.. It has infrared heating, too., Smart red light technology, invigorates the scalp to massage and nourish hair roots.. There'S a difference to me. I guess, between a rattle that was only on the low speed, guys. Dang Gina.. We just upped it to the twofer. Whoa what'd. I just do Okay, let's try this thing: off., Let's try the whatever this is without the little comb-ys on it. Whoa that rattles even more.. I think this one might give me a headache. No. ( buzzer ) And I don't feel like it's heating., No go., Okay, which ones haven't. We tried. Oh this one.. This is what it looked like.. It required two batteries.. It had this other little plastic piece which not totally sure what this is supposed to do. Quite honestly. I put in the batteries and let's go. Okay. Maybe.. Oh, oh, oh must've been the batteries. ( buzzing ) This one vibrates my brain again, but it actually feels kinda good.. This one actually feels better massaging than the others. Has a gentler vibration.. It also combs through the hair easier.. Let'S try taking this thing off and see what I'm not sure that made any difference. Ooh that actually feels really good., Especially up here on my forehead area, where I always get my headaches. Guys. That one ( ding ) may be a keeper.'Kay the next one was This one. Scalp massaging shampoo brush., So it's all plastic and silicone, which means it can go in the shower. Like I said. This one, however surprise for us has batteries. And it even requires a screwdriver to get into the batteries. Setup required.. Okay. So if you can, I don't know if you can see these bristles.. They are more like that silicone one., I don't know, half of these are pointed, and half of them are rectangular.. I don't like this one., It doesn't move. Those silicone teeth. And the vibration is not nice.. Nope nope., Oh oh, there was another speed.. I oh whoa., I don't like this. (, buzzer ). I think the last one is this. Smart, scalp massager., And I believe this was the most expensive one because it's super high tech.. So, first of all, when you pull it out, I think it has a plug with a cord for recharging., And then it comes with this whole little dish. There's a button on the top. You can see the teeth.. So when you push the button, this is what they do.. When you push the button, they go faster. And then oh whoa., And then it reverses. Okay. So let's try this one.. I like the faster speed better. I mean the only benefit I could see to this. One is that it does do both directions.. Let'S reverse it., I mean it's okay.. I kinda feel like it's knotting, my hair., It's alright., ( buzzer ), This one $ 47.95 on Amazon., Definitely not worth $ 47.95.. Let'S sum it up. My favorite for cheap-y this one for sure the spider claw., It felt really good. I can see why they sell them all over.. It feels like actual scratching and gave me goosebumps, which I liked. For potential in the shower head, massaging with shampoo. This was my favorite. And then of all of the ones I tested with batteries. That more had the vibration feel to them. This one., You guys know, was my favorite. Legitimately think I'm gon na keep this one and use it. Of all of them. This one's my favorite., I feel like this one just gives a good head massage and a good head scratch.. It works through the hair nicely. We're gon na test these out on Paisley's hair.. First we're gon na start with this one. Ooh. Ooh. Does that feel good? Yeah.: Let's try this one: next. Blue blue, my favorite color. -'Kay, we're gon na try this one.. It'S mostly just pushing it down. It'S not really getting down onto the scalp.. We'Re gon na try this silicone one with the more rectangular. ( giggles ). Is it moving your head around your scalp or is it just kinda hurting? It feels good. It'S moving my head and scalp around. Ooh when you push the ow. Yeah, but you have to push it. Feel how hard you have to push it to get that to move. Yeah that one hurts a lot.. Okay, try this one., It's kind of like the same. Kinda, the same Yeah. Okay., (, giggles, ). Okay, this one is definitely getting caught in her hair. There's no way you'd be able to comb. Through with this on her hair texture., I like it., You can see it's getting stuck. Even when I lift up.. Are you ready to fall asleep, Exactly., (, laughs, ), Paisley, you're, getting sleepy.? Look at that one. ( giggles ) This one's getting down into her hair? Better than some of the others, but I still think there was another one that was better.. Definitely this one and that one. These two are your favorite. This one went through her hair, really well., Tough, choice., Ooh I'd, say this one.. I say this one.. No, this one went in your hair, better. Fine., So these were Paisley's two favorites.. These are the ones I hated., They feel really weird. And they hurt.. I also did not like those., Say: goodbye. Bye.. Thank you, Paisley for helping us on this video. You're welcome..
