We are going to a salon to get my scalp cleaned whoa. It'S 7 a.m. I'M not supposed to be in this video, i'm just chauffeuring you! They shall fail from birth. Okay, i don't know if that's true, since i can remember my scalp has always been dry period, but when i came out to l.a it like intensified by a thousand, nothing that i'm like ashamed of or anything, i can literally wash my hair and then i'll comb Through it and there will be dandruff or like red spots on my head, so i'm like this is the hand i've been dealt. What i hope to happen, i don't know, i hope, there's relief. I hope i can like feel it being like. Oh, my gosh, this is a new experience. You know like it can breathe. That'S what i hope to feel. I don't know. What'S supposed to happen, hi my name is arisa at the blow me away salon. Today, i'm going to clean the jazz scalp in japan. They conscious about healthy, beautiful hair, and we know it's coming from scalp health. You get your healthy hair and shine back again. So it's like a facial skin renewal is about 28 days. I recommend to get the head spa every four to six weeks, i'm going to check jad's scalp with a microscope camera to analyze her scalp condition energytama and what kind of service i'm gon na provide to her. Let'S get started, i'm gon na check your scalp okay. Okay arisa started taking pictures of my scalp with a microscope. I was like i'm just about to be exposed. When did you wash your hair last night um, i washed it about five days ago. Oh my gosh. It was not clean and how often you wash oh, i wash it maybe once a week once a week, yeah okay! Is that a lot um you might want to wash a little bit more often. Oh, do you see like the redness? Yes, you have inflammation going. Yes, it was very inflamed and there was a little bit of like dirt, build up. Okay, so you think of your scalp, it's dry, i mean because it's assumed yeah. Okay turns out. I was 100 wrong. I can't not see your scalp, those white stuff yeah. It'S not your scalp, it's all build up accumulated it's coming from your product, residue and also oils conditioner is for your hair, not your scalp scalp. Definitely we need to do the deep cleansing cleanse me away. Honey. I'M ready wow got a lot of hardware, so we went into the treatment room. It was lux. She put a blanket on me. She lifted my legs up, she told me most people fall asleep, but i literally still at this point, did not know what was gon na go on. I'M gon na give jazz our new treatment. It'S called co2 bubble, cleansing head spa treatment, it utilizes precise balance, carbonation to carry away all the buildup and a deep cleansing, hair follicles. So first, i'm gon na wash with a regular water and the second i'm going to wash with the co2 bubble. Water, oh and i want to show you how it's different honestly that felt great. I haven't even had that experience many times at all in my life, so i was like oh this. This is great and we were like three seconds in. I have a question. Yes, i've been told it's better for your scalp, so wash it with cool water. No, it's not right. Actually, i want you to use not hot water, warm water, because the the warm water take the oil. Oh yeah, wow i've been living alive. Then arisa brings out the co2 water. Oh, this is like a jet which basically feels like a jet in a pool or a hot tub on your scalp. So i was just like. Oh, that was lovely. You might want to take this. Oh, this is a dirty kim from your scalp. Is it a lot like she showed me this little cup of dirt germs grossness? It was not cute. It was not cute at all all right, so i'm gon na upload a pre-cleansing. Now, what does pre-cleansing like a makeup? Remove? Buffalo? Oh, oh, you are spot on. Oh, it smells good. I don't think i've ever had any like scalp massage before she definitely had hands of an angel. It took me to the higher being - and i was just sitting there like massage - is actually very important to increase circulation and help the hair growth. Okay, oh yeah, i'm gon na be doing this. Scalp shampoo, oh my gosh. My legs just went numb. What does scalp shampoo mean? The purpose is cleansing shampoo, okay, most of the shampoo is made for the hair. It has like a volumizing moisturizing. It could cause clogging, oh okay, so i recommend to use the scalp shampoo once a week. Is there like mint - or i was gon na, say yeah, this smells delicious. Also, my head is like tingling not like an uncomfortable tingling, but it was just like a soothing, like you know, something's going down feel the squeaky queen. Does that squeakiness just mean that it's like super clean, like i said, i'm gon na, do the mask mask for the moisturizing and i'm going to put her in a steamer. So does the like steam like open up exactly okay, penetrate the mask into your hair? I'M learning and then she brought out the steam. Now, i'm gon na steal your hair, i'm so interested. Is it too hot? No, she just like zipped me in and i was like what am i being closed. I don't know what it looked like. Otherwise, but it felt like my head was in a vacuum seal. It was just like soft refreshing. It was like sitting in a steam room, but just my head wow, if i couldn't see the steam i wouldn't know what's going on, am i cooked. She also put serum into my follicles, which was supposed to help them like open up and again help with the inflammation and i'm going to apply serum to moisturize and revitalize your hair focus. Honestly, the whole process was freaking amazing. She knew what she was doing and it felt i'm going back all right. The treatment is all fresh. Yes can i feel it yes, of course, oh yeah, very soft yeah. This feels great all right now, we're gon na see what my scalp looks like post treatment. Let'S check, let's see, i'm not gon na lie. I was like yes, i knew my scalp had some buildup and it was like dirty, but i was like this: redness is not gon na go away in a 45 minute treatment like good luck, carissa! Oh all, right! Wow this is shiny. My redness was like barely even red, even like the redness has gone down. That was like red red before right. It looks so clean. I truly did not even know this was able to be done. So, thank you so so much beautiful. I was a person when i was younger and i had like dandruff or flakes. I was like. Oh my gosh. No, don't look at me everyone's going to make fun of me who the cares. If you want to get a scalp treatment, i would, i would say: do it because it feels really good and it's good to like just have a deep wash, but if you're walking around with dandruff or whatever on your scalp, do not be ashamed. You'Re cute anyway. Let'S go you

Caz Leanne: i love how the lady doing the treatment was not judgmental about anything and was so patient and happy to answer any questions. what a lovely woman

Gabby: The lady seemed shocked that Jazz only washed her hair once a week but when youre biracial and have thick curly hair that's about all you have the time/energy for

empressnikia: This literally looks so relaxing. I would do this for sure.

Janeen Journey: I'd be interested to see a camera before and after during a normal home hair washing session. Not sure the results would be much different. Also, I'd be interested to see this session with someone who is more informed about Black people's hair due to her mixed heritage. As others have mentioned, her surprise at the frequency of Jazmine's hair washing indicates that she isn't familiar at all.

Random Commenter: When you have course hair...mostly Afro textured (type 4) you can not wash your hair multiple times a week. Once a week makes sense and is pretty standard especially if you have an Afro

The Comorbidity Curator: Jazz should see a dermatologist for a follow up. Red inflamed areas of scalp/skin can be signs of skin infections that require medicines and/or skin issues like psoriasis. Salon scalp treatments are great, but sometimes there is an underlying issue that needs to be addressed. Personally, I have psoriasis and have 4 patches of it on my scalp. My hairdresser gives me scalp treatments, but it's only a temporary help, not a long term solution. Regardless, happy to see Jazz get pampered and feel special

Finntastic Sound: Unrelated to the video but these two are literally the remaining OG Buzzfeed creators who are still attached to Buzzfeed. I really miss the good old days when Buzzfeed was in its prime. There were so many interesting personalities to watch back then. :/

Tori Tarantino: As an itchy scalp sufferer, this looks like pure, absolute bliss and I"m very jealous

W G: I definitely need some tips on scalp care. Bet my scalp looks just like that Before picture. My head is itchy and flaky like thirty minutes after I wash and condition, regardless of whether I use hair products or not.

sarah.phillipa: natural girls shouldn't wash their hair loads, it dries our hair out, unfortunately.

KaysieDaniels: Jazz being so honest about her dry scalp has me crying! I’ve always had this issue and never felt like other people had it!

Ayame: this is normal in Japan and you can get this kind of treatment in any hair salon! and also i think arisa seemed surprised when she said she only washes her hair once a week because most Japanese people wash their hair everyday

Budleee Bazz: I forgotten about this tip in a Korean variety beauty show, that says washing your scalp with carbonated water help to remove all that built up. So you can do your own carbonated water rinse at home with seltzer water. It does not have to be full on seltzer, you can mixed it a bit with plain water and clean your scalp

HappyThoughts: Everyone's hair is different but since I started shampooing my scalp and conditioning the last 2/3 of my hair only once a week, my hair has never looked better. At first I was pretty oily towards the end of the week, but after a while it subsided. Doing a scalp treatment of apple cider vinegar once a month was a big game changer too! Clears out aaaaaall that buildup and it feels so good :D

Abigail Gopher: Dandruff is actually a symptom of an oily scalp! It just looks very similar to dry flakes but has a completely different cause and solution.

living hooman bean: I'm Japanese and this is like a standard head spa in Japan. Having your scalp massaged is a heavenly experience here, would definitely recommend

Tamara Anderson: The treatment looked so relaxing but this is definitely something I could probably afford to do sparingly. I use more clarifying shampoo once a week with one of those shampoo/scalp massager brushes and I feel like it does the trick of getting build up out. I've been using the Carol's Daughter Wash Day Delight.

Michaela Huisinga: For all the natural girlies and guys co wash and scalp treatments! no you don’t have to wash your hair more than once a week but you should be treating your scalp and rinsing out gels and styling creams. Adjust your routines accordingly.

Kristen Bellows: I love the idea of a salon offering scalp only services! I would totally do this! I have curly hair so I use products a lot. I cleanse my hair myself but I'm sure something like this would be great!

The Young and the Redeemed: Jazz should have her own comedy hour; her commentary had me cracking up the entire video

Jenny: Jazz should go to the dermatologist for the redness. I laughed at Arisa's reaction to the once a week washing. I'm white with 2A hair and only wash my hair once or twice a week too

Avery Freeman: SO grateful and appreciative that she was so open about her dry scalp and did not care about what others think! This needs to be normalized. Thank you!

geminmay: I've been here before and Arisa did this treatment for me! It was definitely really relaxing and she made things super comfortable for me. Would 100% recommend for anyone who struggles with build up or dry scalp.

r campbell: I’d like to hear how Jazz’s hair is after this new every day washing regimen. Scalp may be clean but how is the breakage?

Doris Ashwena Thomas: I’ve got 2c/3a hair and i wash my hair once a week. My scalp used to get lots of buildup by day 3 or 4, and it would itch too. I started using a shampoo brush to gently massage my scalp and remove the buildup, followed by applying oil (almond oil) on my scalp for a massage, leaving it in for at least an hour. After that I shampoo and condition as usual, and my scalp has shown a LOT of improvement in the past 2 months of doing this. There’s a lot less buildup and itchiness, and I’m able to stretch my wash days further apart (7-10 days now!). I hope this helps someone!! <3

Meg Al: If I had the money 1000 percent I would get this treatment every 6 to 8 weeks! Looks so worth it not just for the scalp health but also the relaxation and self care!

JustCallMeBo: *I wonder if Jazz ever went to a dermatologist. Tons of patients enter with the same problem and can be properly diagnosed and given special shampoos and solutions to address and sometimes eliminate the problem. If it's a deeper problem sometimes medications can be administered to combat the problem from the inside, in conjunction with the topical products! A lot of spas charge tons for these types of treatments just for the problem to return shortly after. At least with the medications it can be more affordable, depending on insurance provider, and beneficial in the long run!*

Melissa Pellegrin: First, I love seeing Jazmine and Lindsey together. So wonderful to see a video of you both. Next, thanks for doing this type of video. I have had scalp build up issues since I was in elementary school. I would use various dandruff shampoos and that would not alleviate the build up. Since the pandemic, my scalp has gotten a lot more build up, even after shampooing every day. I even stopped using hair products. It has cost a large amount of hair loss on the top of my scalp. I have a medicated shampoo, but it is not able to do much. Perhaps a deep clean might help, so thank you for doing this video.

Eloise Rose: Thank you for this video, I’ve always experienced something with my scalp so this will definitely helpful even without getting it cleaned myself!

starlight: Idk why the lady was surprised she only washed her hair only once a week. For curly hair, I thought you wouldn’t want to do it too often because it’s bad for the hair.

No: i love how after that woman sees all those scalps and still manages to be so kind and still touch all the scalps without hesitation!

sonyafly: I’m thinking the dandruff and inflammation can be fungal. This is amazing and I’d love to do that! She should see a dermatologist though for sure.

eli's vlog: This reminds me of years ago when Oprah shared a story that a newscaster her job came with a hairstylist. The stylist had no idea what to do with her hair. When she asked the lady had she ever did black hair, the stylist said - yes, I do black hair, red hair, brown hair, and I can do your hair. Against her better judgment, she allowed the lady to do her hair. The lady was stumped when hair reverted during shampooing. Needless to say, it was a horrible experience by someone who had no knowledge or experience with black hair.

Caroline Evans: I would love this! Thank you Jazz for doing this video. I've suffered the same with a flakey, itchy scalp from a teenager and through to adult years.

Grace Watson: Even if this did nothing for your scalp, it looks so nice. I see why she was saying people fall asleep… I would !!

blonded 1747: Even if you don’t notice any scalp issues I highly recommend getting your scalp deep cleaned!! It’s so relaxing and a form of self care we should all practice<33

Imlegit1: The realest fan base I’ve ever witnessed. proud to be a part of this community even the dark times.

thesoftestflower: Thank you Jaz, I have been dealing with dandruff on my scalp for as long as I can remember. I have always been self conscious about it. You are an inspiration!

themeltedchocolate: I have the same thing, I'm pretty sure, and I've been told by a dermatologist that it's psoriasis and there's not much I can do about it since it must be genetic, my grandma has seriously bad psoriasis all over her arms and legs. Mine doesn't look like hers, it definitely looks more like what Jaz has. I wish I could get a treatment like this, it looks really good.

ItsJess_ Mii: I love this . I’m curious how the products used would affect type 4 hair.

MelBell 0865: My dandruff covered, oily haired head needs this! The only problem I’m concerned with, is whether or not the length of my hair would affect how clean it can get.

Taylor Moneymaker: I love this! I feel like my scalp is soooo gross. I would love to get this done.

Valencia Smith: Watching this now I want to get my scalp cleaned. My scalp gets real sensitive when I put too much moisturizing product in my hair. Never did that before when I was younger.

Gabrielle Trollinger: The first time I ever used scalp shampoo was wild... that tingling she mentions is totally bizarre! And that was just a home treatment... I can't imagine how nice a salon treatment would be. Jealous!

Connie Harrison: People used to say dandruff meant dirty hair but I would wash my hair everyday with dandruff treatments and normal shampoo and nothing would work until I just stopped caring and started using cheap shampoo 2-3 times a week and now I barely get it

Alexis Duncan: I love how the worker was considerate of how you felt if things were too hot. I've had workers just put too hot things on me and not even ask.

BattyBoo96: Thank you for being so open about this sort of thing!

Kiimmig: When I was in cosmetology school the month of our scalp treatment was my favorite! We were using each other as practice and to get our required quota in. My hair grew and extra 1/2 inch that month. Finding a school to get scalp treatments is less $ and helps the students learn. In the summer months I wash my hair in conditioner mostly using shampoo about twice a month. FYI when painting I will put conditioner in my hair fairly heavy after towel drying, then braid or ponytail. Paint doesn’t stick to hair and sits on conditioner instead so it rinses off. I do have dry hair, skin, and products seem to not only make my scalp itch, but build up is fast.

Books Rebound: I'm not saying this doesn't work/do anything, but it honestly seems like a scam to me. I'm guessing her scalps natural oils are gonna bring her right back to looking like the Before photo in a day or two. Like she basically just washed her hair but with a few fancy SEEMING bells and whistles. I think you're mostly paying for the service and the illusion you're actually significantly helping your scalp.

Lawren Elizabeth: This looks sssooo soothing but $100 to $200 every 4 to 6 weeks is just way more than my wallet could handle

With Peace & Love: I feel like this would be such a great thing to do for any girl with curls. I really want to get this done now but I'm sure that my state doesn't have something like this (curse you California for always being ahead of the country with beauty treatments!) and I'm also sure it's expensivvvvveeeee.

Tanya Sidello: She said a lot of things that I had always thought about shampoo and how it can be clogging. This was fun to watch. What shampoo did she use for scalp cleansing with the mint?

Corran Horn: I had even worse dry scalp than this. I used many different products for years trying to find relief. I landed on any shampoo you aren't allergic to, Selsun Blue once every 3 months, and Aveda Scalp Benefits conditioner with every wash. Another thing that helps is only washing your hair when you need to, like after exercising or every 2-4 days. Keep those natural oils around to reduce itching and dandruff. Each person is different.

Leslie: Yeah this is why I shaved all my hair off. There's no way I am washing my hair more than once a week. I actually usually wash it once a month. Unless they make technology that can make type 1, 2, or 3 hair grow out of my scalp, I'm not washing my hair that often. I honestly would just go to a salon to get them to wash my hair once a week and pay them every time except that would be a waste of money because I would leave the salon with a matted nest on my head.

Zoë King: Love you guys!!!! You are both such bright lights in this world! ♥️♥️♥️

Ella Schmelzer: I need something like this! I have super thick hair and my scalp is so oily and there’s a lot of skin build up. I usually get a scalp treatment every 8 weeks but I don’t think that it’s enough

Sharon Doan: Such an encouraging video! I want a scalp cleansing as soon as possible.

Rach V: I would be interested in doing this. I have psoriasis on my face and scalp. I actually get like lumps of it on my scalp. So I would love to see what my scalp looks like under a microscope.

Emily Blenn: idk about once a month but id love to have this done at least once to have that experience the idea of having my scalp being that clean sounds amazing

Ashley: Would something like this help to grow your hair longer and would once be enough, or would it work better over multiple treatments?

Bellarina: I absolutely love this channel, they help people grow up and how to figure out the body of a woman, when I had just started my period, I came here. They make interesting videos, and videos that are VERY helpful. Especially when my parents don’t talk about growing as a woman, They helped me a lot when growing up and I really appreciate that.

RabbitBearGaming: im not gonna lie. that treatment looks wonderful :D

Nae: This looks so amazing.

wonderbutterfly3: She may have done better going to a person that specializes in natural hair.

SANDRA BROCK: I can’t imagine washing my hair once a week. I wonder how much this cost looks divine

K. Johnson: Loving Jazz and her positive attitude!

Alexandra: Please use squeaky sound effects with caution… my dog thinks I’m hiding a toy from him

Casey Finnegan: Wow, this was so interesting to see! What a neat place to have treatments like this! :)

Debadrita Gupta: Jazz you look absolutely stunning in this video! Your hair your skin everything

Doua Yang: Wow! This sounds awesome! Would love to try this

telle momma: I had build up from back in the day using my beloved studio mega spritz when the big permed hair was a lifestyle! Lol! I found out using a suave clarifying shampoo twice a week got totally rid of it! Both great products on a budget!

Andrew Washington: First time on your channel you are a funny chill cool lady and also this is something I need to do I bet you that treatment felt soooooooo good

Melanie Playzz: i want to get one of this!!!!!!! like it would be so relaxing!

The Kidlets: I fell asleep just watching this! It is so relaxing!

Jaziah. Aydah: I’m too afraid someone’s gonna judge me if I go to a place like this

Claire: That looked like an experience! Very glad you enjoyed it but I think I'll stick to washing my hair a couple of times a week and the occasional use of an anti-build up product.

TornadoWolfDakota: I very badly need this. My head needs to be cleaned. The dandruff is unbelievable and my head is just always dry and incredibly itchy

I Like ButteredToast: I personally use an olive oil castile soap and a vinegar rinse on my hair. No dandruff at all for me.

Julie Mcgugan: I sleep everytime I go to get my hair done (not often, usually only when I am getting my hair trimmed; lost my job before lockdown and the pandemic has since hit my bank account hair.) This process looked so relaxing!

cuzimnotlaughing: You know a scalp facial or treatment is legit if bare hands are used and not gloves. Having someone scratch and massage your head with bare hands is definitely one of the best feelings in the world.

Meghan Hess: This lady that’s getting her hair Has amazing character is quite nice

Zoe: I wash my hair every day with daily care shampoo and conditioner, I have my whole life, if I miss one night of washing it it gets very oily and just not good and then makes my skin have loads of pimples as well lol. But that’s just me, everyone’s hair is different and I don’t think we should be telling people how often they need to wash their hair lol

Diya Narayan: I want to do this so badly because I have struggled with the same dry scalp issues, I would lovvveee to have it checked ouuttt, this looks amazing!!!!

rocklesson86: I wish I could wash my hair more than once a week, but natural hair can't be washed everyday.

Sonia Rican: Washing your Hair once or twice a week is actually really healthy for your hair and it helps it grow faster as well

Alysia Durlak: I'm trying not to fall asleep just watching her head getting massaged!!

Desiray Carranza: PLEASE give an update on how this worked for you! ❤️

mimi Lee: I so need to get this done.

Chris Du: If anyone had Aveda or Aveda affiliated salon, they may have an descaling service that does a similar thing. I've done it before as an add on to my hair cut. Aveda also have at home products that also acts like this. Maybe not as strong of a difference but cheaper

Jasmine Kettledon: It's really shocking how many girls and women have not been taught how to care for my hair. It wasn't until my twenties did I learn how to deal with my curly hair without damaging it. My hair was always fizzy and static prone. I wish I had encountered a woman like this one that was less judgmental over me not knowing any better. She is so amazing.

Lavender 1: I want this done so bad!

Lola Lollipop: I’d so love a follow up and like a series to see how well it works on hair, but also bipoc hair

Tee: Such a common mistake curlies make is over moisturizing the scalp! Clarifying shampoo for the scalp and all other steps should be directed about an inch from the scalp all the way down the hair shaft

stylewithemma: I need this! My scalp has had buildup for the past several years and I’ve never found a way to improve it.

candybitch: love this...it looked so relaxing!!!

Akua Darku: *I feel all the treatments she's getting *

Anisah Zainab: Did anyone notice how jazzs hair looked crunchy when she came in and then fluffy when she left???

MrNicoleCherie: Stranger: “Oh your scalp is so clean.” Me: “Thanks, I wash with La Croix.”

ily: I don't know why I was so relaxed by watching this maybe it makes me feel good idk it's so relaxing-

AyNay246: All the people thinking washing more helps oily hair need to chill -- I do have curly hair and wash once a week, but switching to co-wash and going from daily to like every 3 days resulted in my hair having less oil issues because my scalp was not trying to keep up with me removing all my natural oils every chance I got.
