Hey guys, I hope, you're all doing well in today's video, I'm gon na be talking about how I keep my hair. So moisturize. I'Ve been posting some photos on Instagram and I've been getting a lot of questions about its kind of always like a variation depending on what style. I'M planning on putting my hair in. I wanna show you what I've been doing specifically when I wearing my curly washing go look. This is what I usually do to get that I usually get the most. How do you moisturize your hair questions when I post that photo, so I'm gon na show you how I do that I usually do this in the shower, but I felt like not being in the shower today. If you watch my video, you know that I like to wash my hair in sections and just work section by section, which is why my hair is like this right now, and the reason I usually do this in the shower is because it's just easier for me. Oh, my hair is soaking wet to get all the products on and have my curls obey whoo. What I want them to do, because my hair naturally is very thick like kinky coily once it dries, that's a wrap, so the wetter, my hair, is the more I'm able to manipulate it. So after washing and conditioning my hair, the next step is to spray it down with aloe vera juice, and this has been in and out of my regimen for probably at least 7 years. I just stopped doing it sometimes because I get bored or I just run out of the juice, and I don't go back to the store to get it. But I've been really making an effort to use this more often, specifically after I had all my scalp issues, which is why I love the olive or pre-poo so much aloe vera is amazing for your scalp and for your hair. If you have any type of scalp issues, so just take it and don't mind my super a bottle. This is what happens when you try and disinfect with boiling water yeah. So I'm just spraying down my scalp first just to get that on there. Elver is amazing for your stuff, it's healing soothing, it's gon na help to relieve any itching drying scaling anything like that and it balances the pH, and I had the best hair growth when I was using it consistently. So it's a back again and then next, as I add a leave-in, I used to use this often, as can be mean choice. 3 + 1, which I still love. It'S just a little bit heavy I've been kind of wanting more light, bouncy your hair lately. So I've actually switched to the as I am longing luxe grow yogurt, which is amazing. I mean they're, both awesome and I do I have tons of these. I use them interchangeably. I can use either one it's just if you have the options so after my aloe juice, I'm applying this leaving and you can use any leavin and you want to work it into your ends because your ends are the oldest obvi. The ingredients are also gon na help, keep your hair moisturize on top of the moisture that you manually added, which would be the water and the aloe vera juice. Now, once I've locked all that in with leavin I'm going to steal everything in using my DIY oil mixture, a very tiny amount, you don't want an oily head. You just want to seal the moisture in I'm gon na put links for everything I'm using in the description box for you now that I'm putting the oil on I'm realizing. I probably don't want to mess up my shirt, mm-hmm. Okay, so tell them again. I told you I usually do this in the shower. You don't have to worry about your clothes when you're in the shower so working in that oil, then once that feels pretty good, I just twist everything up. I twist all the way down to the bottom and that's it sweet juicy twists, nice and moisturized. So, on the other side, again taking out the hair, I'm going to heal my scalp balance, the pH of my hair and my scalp using aloe vera juice, which creates a healthy environment for hair growth and helps keep your hair strong and moisturized. I lock all the moisture in using a leave-in conditioner, a creamy leave-in conditioner, there's different types of leave-in conditioners. I don't like the watery types. If you have hair, that's like mine, which you probably do if you're watching this go for something that's creamy, that's gon na hold the moisture in for longer, and I worked that in focusing it on my ends and working up and then you're gon na lock. In all the moisture, with an oil now this is my DIY hair oil. It'S a mixture of both moisturizing and sealing oils, so this is gon na help not only moisturize my hair, but also lock in all the moisture from the water, the aloe juice and the creamy leave-in conditioner. If you don't have access to like making a mixture of oils, you can just use one oil, whatever you have in your house, just grab some olive oil from the kitchen. After all of that is worked in, I'm just gon na go ahead and twist up my hair so twisting if the hair is gon na stretch, my curls, it also helps to lock in that moisture and because I'm exercising a lot. This is how my hair is going to remain for those days when I exercise alright. So this is what we're looking like now, two juicy moisturised twists. Alright, so that's it! That'S my entire moisturizing hair routine. Of course, I do like a different variation of this, depending on what style I'm going for. This is just kind of my look that you guys usually see on Instagram and into videos. That'S actually not a wash and go that's a wet twist out, because I'll usually do my hair like this and then once it dries just take it out and it looks like a natural washing go she's. I call it my winter wash and go by anyway. Some information - that's probably important - is that if you guys didn't notice, I only put aloe juice on my scalp. You can put oils on your scalp as long as they're moisturizing oils that are absorbed into your skin and hair. You don't want to put like a sealing oil or anything like that. You definitely don't want to put leave-in conditioners or conditioners or anything in your scope, because it will clog your pores and make situations worse. Aloe, vera juice, on your scalp, always a good idea. So again, this is how I will usually be wearing my hair. If you ever run into me on the street and it's not at an event, it's just the normal everyday. This is probably what you will see me looking like. I usually will have it like up and a bun or something like that, but I want it to dry out and it's really great because as long as I keep my hair and twist, the moisture will stay in my hair. So when you see this picture that Instagram or you see my hair in that style on my videos, I usually just took it out that day or within a couple of days. After about three days, the moisture will start to evaporate and my hair is gon na dry out. So as long as you keep your hair in the twist, your hair will stay. Moisturize, like it came a hair in these twists for like five days and the moisture will still be there. If I decide to untwist it it's just as soon as you untwist your hair, the moisture is going to leave. So if you want the moisture to stay, keep the twists in another stuff - that's really great too, is if you're planning to keep your twists in longer term. Is you can always increase the sealant and put on a heavy butter, like my shea butter mango butter creams, and I put those DIYs in the description box so instead doing the aloe juice, followed by a leave-in conditioner, followed by your oils, followed by a heavy heavy Butter cream and that's gon na increase the sealant qualities and it's going to make the moisture stay in your hair. Longer the more butter and heavier stuff you put under product the more weight you're gon na have so just keep that in mind. I usually like the weight, especially for twist outs. It gives me a little bit more hang time, but I don't know I've been like in my wash and go looks to be fluffy and bouncy lately, so we're gon na just leave that out so anyway. I think. That'S it. This is my basic moisture routine again, I usually do this in the shower. It'S just really fast and easy, and all this a mess here you don't have, so I hope that it helps. I hope you guys give it a try. Just layering on your lighter moisturizers to heavier ceilings in order to lock the moisture into your hair, so give it a try again. I'M gon na have all of the products that I used in the description box below. I hope it helped and I'll see you guys in the next one

Chime (HairCrush): When you stretch it and it springs back...Hairgasm! lol Beautiful Whitney!

Nubian_melanin Queen: 1. Aloe Vera juice. 2. Leave in conditioner. 3. Oil to lock in all that moisture. 4. Butter/ Cream to seal that moisture in.

XoAvianne: Would love to see you do a week in your natural hair. Just so we can get a look at how often you moisturize and manipulate your hair. That way we can kind of see where we may be going wrong in our own routine. Your hair is thriving and I'm trying to get my hair to this level.

Lady LaTre'viette Phantumhive: Definitely was in need of this type of advice, because I tend to let my hair dry out way to often. And your routine is super easy for me to follow without a problem. Thanks girl ‍♀️.

Renegade Rogue: Ah Whitney this is amazing. I'm learning how to handle my daughter's hair and I'm going to try this method today with her. She's become eager to do her hair now. She calls it Self-care Sunday. You are a great help to parents like me whose hair is ethnically different to our daughters' hair. Her dry scalp has no flakes this week and her hair is becoming softer and easier to handle. She's loving the routine which helps with the tangles and I finally feel that she can grow her hair without me going through anxiety. Thanks a million.

Naomi Bonneau: Hey thanks Whitney for the reminder we all need a refresher once in a while, straight to the point great video

Kiya L.: I remember in an old video she said that sometimes when you’ve gone through a dry spell, you need to keep reapplying moisture everyday so that your hair can get used to being moisturized. Just thought I’d merino that because my hair always felt dry and crispy until I implemented that.

Abigail A.: Everything tutorial you do, agrees with my hair. I started doing your pre poo and diy fengreek deep conditioner, about 4 months ago and hair has grown and my ends have gotten stronger. I suffered a bald spot in the back of head, and using the aloe vera has strengthen the hair. It's currently my longest section of my hair. Thanks so much for your knowledge Ms. Whitney.

Nonalola: I did this routine last night then took it down in the morning and my hair felt so soft and amazing! It works like a dream. I wanted more curls though so I added more oil, then a curling cream and a little gel on the parts that I wanted super defined and I think this routine might have saved my hair life. New hair journey here I come.

Jermaine Ryan: Hey Whitney! I am transitioning my very short, type 4, Low porosity natural hair from sponging to more defined curls. Thanks to the Gurus I started following(you being one of 4) I started deep conditioning(weekly)about 3 weeks ago, struggling through doing flat twist and two strand twists and now in mid week where do I go if I want to change my style? My hair is still pretty moisturized but do I do a wash n leave-in? Rinse and leave-in? Do I spray and leave-in? I am totally in struggle mode. Can you give me some guidance?

Chloé-Ana Braidy: I loveeee this routine! I’ve noticed that my twist outs loook like wash n gos too! It mimics my natural texture & i love it! Twists just takes too long to dry

Jasmine Tígre: My sister thought that was how the spray bottle was supposed to look. She was like “ look at that fancy bottle !‘’

Courtney Taylor: Thank you dropping another video! Your hair is thriving so well. Love that you place health over all other desires. Health first, HUGE results later. Yassss huntee! We love you sisssssss and appreciate the moisturizing tutorial. Stay blessed ❤

Topii: This is a nice and easy moisturising routine! I'll definitely be adding aloe vera to my hair regimen again as it did really help with moisture and definition when I used it as a prepoo. ✨✨

tyerra1213: Perfect timing Whitney! I was just about to do some Senegalese twist on my hair. These tips were so helpful

Synari Belize: I was just watching in awe of your hair's growth until you said when you take the twists down the moisture disappears..Instantly! I clicked because that is exactly how my hair behaves it has ZERO CHILL Ugh! Thank you for being so relatable Whits!

Mary Maxine: Your hair is so shiny! I will definitely be trying this “Winter Wash and Go” ☺️, your hair looks so juicy .

coco698: Ive been following tour natural hair journey for years! This was a GREAT refresher Thank you!

Lil Lex: So gorgeous . You're hair is so shiny and your skin is so clear. Can we get a skin care routine maybe?

4udumn: I remember on your older videos you showed yourself detangling in the shower then twisting back up and that has made detangling so easy for me, even when I get out of the shower my hair doesn't dry too quickly and it's easier to work with. ❤️

Gigi Bliss: Thank sooo much! Your videos have really helped me manage my daughter's hair. She's 5 and has thick waist-length hair that ALWAYS seems to be dry. Will try this next wash day.

Ebony: Whit!!!! You're hair is bomb! #goals what naturalistas don't understand when swiping through your SC or Gram is that you have been consistently training your hair to retain moisture. Hence the juicy twists and strands even before you put product on it. PSA: BE CONSISTANT WITH YOUR REGIME!!! That is all.

Leya The Enthusiast: This is my go to style every wash day now, I love what it does to my hair

Cid: I have 3a hair (Latina woman here) but still watch all of your videos. Although most of these the products you use are too heavy for my hair, I really enjoy your videos! I’ve learned how to take care of my hair because of you. Much love!

watchdestinyx33: I swear every time I think about updating my hair routine you come through with an informative video!

Patbro Bro: Although a year ago, it’s never to late to adopt the right habits on my natural hair journey for several years myself. I’ve been on some roller coasters... Thanks for the aloe Vera juice tip, my hair is very think and sensitive scalp....

Gigi Reddick: Omg your hair is absolutely gorgeous!! Thanks for sharing all that natural hair knowledge. I cannot wait to try these techniques as I exercise alot myself and struggle to keep moisture in my hair. New subscriber keep the great content coming!! Gigi

Jasmine Hearon: Hey Whitney! I know it's been awhile since you posted this, but I still hope you see my question: when styling, do you always have little bits of shedding? My hair is about the same thickness and pattern as yours, but shorter. I find that I'm shedding 99% of the time, no matter if I'm detangling, washing, styling, or even just running my fingers through my hair, and I was curious to know if that's normal or not. I know we naturally shed 100 strands a day, but when I watch these youtube videos, it seems like no one has that problem but me. I'm not going bald and it's not excessive or anything like that, just more of an annoyance than anything. Thanks for your videos

patricewilcox: OG Whit-Whit always coming through in the clutch. I've been saying that I was going to start wearing my hair in twists to maintain moisture and now I'm really going to in the next few days. Thanks, girl!

googo151: Your hair is off the charts. I'm almost 60, and a guy and always freaking out about losing my hair. I have a feeling that if I did some of your treatments, I'd be able to keep more of it.

rocky: i have been using your techniques for years. you haven't failed me yet!! love ya ♥️♥️♥️

DD Dennis: Thanks so much Whitney! I thought you were wearing your hair loose all the time and wondered how it always looks so moistuzed. Thanks for sharing how you wear your hair on a daily basis. Great video!!!! Thanks!!

Rachel S: I don’t know why I keep straying from my aloe juice when I know my hair loves it Your hair is gorgeous per usual and so is this eyeshadow look! I cannot wait until my hair gets long again so I can do a few chunky braids or twists and call it a night lol.

Denielle: Thanks for this, Whit! I follow a pretty similar routine, but for some reason have gotten away from aloe vera juice. Thanks for the reminder of how awesome it is! <3

Aunty P: Your hair is so beautiful!!❤I should really thank you girl.i have been doing the alone vera pre poo for a couple of weeks now and my hair loves it!!before that my hair was always dry and brittle no matter what moisturizer I used.i was so frustrated, but now I see a difference in my hair and also scalp.my hair remains soft and hydrated till the next wash day.thank you!! That spray bottle tho

Dayna C: Thank you so much Whitney! This video is just what I needed. My 4c hair is always dry, seemed hopeless until now. Thank you

Lady of His Love: I tried aloe vera juice on my scalp and it caused me to have a lot of snow days/dandruff lol, but rosewater works amazing for my hair and scalp. Thank you for your content. I am relaxed and your tips and tricks helps even me! Plus my 8 month old daughter is definitely going to be natural, so I am also learning how to take care of her hair now and in the future. Keep being you! You are definitely a blessing to us all!!!!!

Keyare V: Thank you so much for sharing. You have given me hope, I feel like my hair was growing and healthy when I use to do all of your DIY hair products. But I got bored and busy and I stopped with the DIYs and now starting over with hair regimen. Im back girlie, you go help me grow healthy hair again and Im sticking around this time.

Tawana Martin: I'm doing this today! Had my natural hair corn braided in a cute updo. Now I will just try this....Thank you!!!

2Luv2Live!!: Love it! Gotta keep my Aloe Vera in my hair routine consistently

Brandy Mays: Thank you so much!!! Super helpful and so informative! You are a wealth of information....now if I could just go apply your method to my head I’ve been struggling with single strand knots, shedding/breakage, and dryness. I thank you so much for all that you do and I’m really going to try these steps to see if this method helps me out.

RealMcCoy411: I will be adding this regiment to my hair starting today February 2nd. The only thing different I'm going to be using wild Growth Oil! I am so excited and ready to implement aloe vera juice into my moisturizing days of my hair! You are AWESOME your hair is BEAUTIFUL and I can't help but give you a thumbs-up girl! BEAUTIFUL!

Penny's Point of View: Thanks Nap! My daughter hair is very close to yours and these videos are a lifesaver because she is 6 years old and her hair is growing super fast and I barely can keep up! Lol

cyndriana: I've been moisturizing my hair in the wrong way all this time. This video is going to save my time and my hair.

chioma olewuenyi: The hair...the face..Just so blessed

Curls 4 The Culture!: You are so right about aloe Vera. I put it in just about everything I use! It’s literally a miracle liquid for skin and hair. Always love your videos. So informative ❤️❤️❤️

Diams Raven: I finally tried aloe juice on my hair and OMD . My hair has been soooo soft and I got very good definition on my braidout for the first time ever! Thank you for the plug

sessionsofprogress: I thought that was the design of the spray bottle lol

Tanisha Arnold: I tried this method on my 4c hair yesterday....I can attest to the juicy twists. Thank you!

Jasmine972: Yaaaaass ❤️❤️❤️ I started using this method to moisturize my hair since I've been adding henna to my deep conditioner and guuurl let me tell you my hair has been flourishing since then. Also, I've been using the African threading methods lately and it's been amazing, have you ever tried it? and if not could you make a video about it? please. love from Martinique

shreyapatnaik: hi Whitney, i wanted to ask you,(since you mentioned that you keep your twist outs even while working out) what do you do when your hair is soaking with sweat after an intensive workout? do you take out your twist outs and rinse them with something like ACV and then re-moisturize your hair and twist again or do you just let the sweat stay in till your next wash day? what i am meaning to ask is, how do you deal with a greasy and smelly head of sweat and manage to go on with it till the next wash day? this is a serious concern for me and i am not able to find an effective solution for it because i know how important exercise is for good hair, skin and health!! please help!!

Estelle&Estella: Your hair is beautiful Whitney! ❤️ I’m tryna get there! I’m definitely going to try to incorporate aloe vera in my hair regimen on a regular basis.

BlackGirlLovesAnime6: Your hair looks so much healthier than it has looked lately. This video was so satisfying lol

Ingrid Harrell: I need to focus on my hair. I'm so lazy. Your hair is super gorgeous. I need moisture help. This video is so easy and to the point. Thank you!

jae729: Just straight to the point and another awesome video Whit. Thanks

MzBe Youtiful: Thanks for making this video. I have type 4 hair and moisture is definitely an issue for me. I'm going to give these tips a try❤️

Happier Nappier Kat: Aloe vera juice helps my hair grow and soothes my scalp. Your skin and hair look awesome as usual. This video was very clear and informative. TFS!

Nissi 15: God ur hair looks amazing moisturized!!! Love how simple this was. :) :)

WavySpiceTV: I’ve been loving keeping twist too lately, deff helping me retain length and amazing when I take it down!!! Xo

Kiauna !: This vid came right on time. I’ve literally had dry scalp for a few weeks now

Malyasha7: Hey Whitney! Your hair has grown SO MUCH it's beautiful!! But I have a question: When I moisturize my hair after my wash day my hair is amazing; juicy, moisturized, soft and everything, but when I moisturize it during the week, it's dry as hell the morning after. I use water+glycerin then a moisturizer and then an oil. What's the problem? I'm switching moisturizers over and over again but the result is the same...

Brooke Belle: Question: so once your hair drys out on that 3rd day .. what do you normally do next ? thnx girl ♥️♥️

Shanice Gayle: Always watching, never commented. Thanks alot for this Whitney. I'm from Jamaica and the heat is turnt here so I've been really trying to find ways to keep my hair moisturized. Right now it's in bantu knots, we call them chiney bumps out here. Just giving my hair a break and trying to keep it healthy and moisturized before school. Just wanted to say thank you for the good that you do for our natural community and especially for type 4 hair girls .❤

Cecilia Morales: I loved all this info!! It was great! My son has 4B/4c hair and his hair is super thick like yours. So thank you!!

T Turner: So I spent all day today doing my hair. For the first time I did 1. Prepoo with fresh aloe vera and oils. 2. Clarified/Detoxed using bentonite clay 3. cherry Lola treatment 4. Deep condition After rinsing out the DC sprayed aloe vera juice, added leave in conditioner, cream and a oil then twisted each section up. Phew!! glad that's over. We shall see how it comes out. I thank you Naptural85 as you give such good hair advice.. :-)

Brittany Terrell: I feel like it's important to note that your hair retains more moisture the more you stick to a regimen that works for you

Shaina Marie Johnson: I've been following you for years & it amazes me how beautiful your hair has gotten.

Cheryl Williams: Hiya!! I'm a big fan of your videos. You always have great content that is full of very informative facts, which I truly appreciate. I actually made my version of your DIY hair/body oil and just wondered which oils are used as sealants. Thank you and take care!

J D.: Oh my gosh it looks so perfect. I need to watch this, moisture lasts in my hair for about 4 days.

Jas K: Whit! I can't get enough of your videos. Thank you so much for taking the time! This was so helpful. Stoked to be adding Aloe Vera Juice to my hair routine

Nefertiti: You are too BEA-UTIFUL for make up. I have been following you since 2012! I'm 4c but in my "early natural journey", I was right along making "natural" products!

MissaRosa: Beautiful, as usual! I only wish that there was a way for my 4 quadruple z hair to respond like that. No twist outs, wet hair looks for me. My hair is mid bra length, but no extra moist hair styles for me. But I love seeing others who are able to pull it off. I don't mind dreaming! LOL

Aryel Lawson: I’m loving your hair more and more everyday . Been following you for sooo long to see how poppin these curls are omg I’m in love ❤️

Ginny F: I just saw your earlier videos when your hair was super short and I was in disbelief that your hair was ever that short!! You hair is AMAZINGLY BEAUTIFUL!!!! seriously!!!! ♥

Selinee Tejada: Hi Whitney, I just wanted to ask you a quick question (hopefully your reply lol). So like the middle-back of my hair has recently been really struggling to absorb product and becoming define. No matte how much product I add, the only part of the hairs that get curled are towards the bottom. It's almost as if it were acting as a whole different texture which I find weird since it's new growth (Hopefully that makes sense). Do you know why this would happen or have any tips? Thankssss :))))

Happiness Smiles4: Thanks Whitney for the style. And looking back on this video you even showed us your product Melanin the whole time . By the way it’s my staple now so excited for your future addition to your line

Ama Adu: Always inspiring...bless you Whitney ❤️

Lindsey Burnside: It's funny that you've been making videos about your "winter wash n go" looks as of late, because that's what I've been doing too! I'm from the North, but moved in April and now live in a warm, super humid climate. I've been doing basically the same thing you do since April! Plus the high humidity (80-95% is normal in the summer) reverts the ends of my curls just enough to really look like my wash n go, but fluffier and without hard gels. Plus the roots stay stretched from twisting and I have fewer tangles and single strand knots. It's a win all around!

Deon Deon: Girl your hair is beautiful I'm so happy you made this because I just asked this same question lol

Marla Morris: I love rocking juicy twists. They are a good way for me to refrain from constant manipulation. People always ask me who did my hair. Me I gladly report. I especially love the bomb twist out after a day of two of "rested hair". Also Vera juice is my go to. I use one of those misters and make sure to section my hair to get my scalp and roots. I have been watching your channel for awhile. Keep the great content coming.

Mo Lovely: Can't wait to my hair grow out. Beautiful

Hoedaxo: Finally a SIMPLE curly hair routine on youtube.

Brittany: Almost to 1 million!! So excited for you Whitney!!!! ❤️

Morgan Hester: Love your makeup girl!! Gorgeous. You should do a tutorial on that look.

Care Free: Thank you so much for all of your advice! This time, it reminds me of exactly where to apply which products. Thanks again beautiful❤

SilentlyOutspokenShayla: I've been saying i want to make my hair more moisturized, definitely going to try this out

Kshais: As always Whitney, your video is great and I appreciate the knowledge :)!

Tyffani Duvall-stone: you are the reason I went natural. I thank you for taking time to make these amazing videos. You are amazing thank you WHIT!!!!!

Jordan Lydia: I also bought that aloe juice for my hair! Can’t wait until it comes in so I can use it ❤️❤️❤️

CiUnna Logan: Your hair has grown so much since I started watching your channel I gotta get back to loving my hair & be more consistent!

_evexoxo: Ok girl, so I watch all your videos, but really only to admire your hair. But this video has changed the game. It actually worked beautifully. It was fast, I used less products & my hair is legit curly and moisturized! Thank you Whitney!

mende75: Thank you for this. exactly what I needed when I needed it.

Danielle King: Thanks for posting this. I'm struggling to keep me and my daughter's hair moisturized.

Sunshine_Ses1234: My hair is twisted up now and it dried out when I woke up this morning. But thank you so much for this video! I will have to try this out!

C Williams: You are such a gorgeous person outside and in! I love watching your vids! Thanks for all that you share!!!

Naomi Martinez: My hair is extremely dry and in heat damage transition, someone suggested me the 'Loc' method daily but I just felt like it was too heavy. I prefer the method you showed, which doesn't involve adding a cream over.

Melanin Monroe: Have you tried using a continuous spray bottle? I use one as my water bottle and it's amazing. It sprays this fine mist, in long, almost continuous sprays, over the hair. End result you have less spray work. Rather than the spraying over and over, and over. My daughter wants one.

NaturalRebel: I love how full and thick your hair is! Watching you Videos give me hope

Lindsey Leota: Thank you for this! I am truly truly struggling with my natural hair.

Farrah Ta'Shae: So needed this 8 months ago... HOWEVER, better late than never. Thank you Doll!!!!!!!!!!
