Hey everyone, i'm bianca and you're watching beyond grenade today and today i am back with my hair model, michael from my last escrow video and today we're going to do something different. We actually have a curl sponge twist sponge for you guys to do. I know you guys have been asking for this video sorry it took so long, but we are going to demonstrate how this works today. Now, if you don't know what this is, it actually is a really easy way to create curls or twists or dreads, pretty much on how long you do it now. This one is called twist there's a whole bunch of different brands. This one's called the tornado coiler. There'S one called nude red so there's a whole bunch of different brands out there. I personally got my twist sponge from amazon for like five bucks, and this is michael's where'd you get this one. I got it from wow beauty, supply, wow beauty, supply. Mine was five dollars. Yours was it's ten bucks haha i win. So, as you can see, this is michael's hair right now the texturizer has worn off a little bit and for everyone that was leaving all the like dramatic comments that i've ruined his hair and it's not natural anymore um he's still still got. Hair didn't fall out. It'S just a little bit longer, it looks totally fine. Texturizer is temporary, so, let's all just calm down so today we're going to demonstrate how to use it on my twist sponge and let's get started. So this is michael's hair right now, as you can see, it still has a little bit of texture from the last texturizer and he also used the curl sponge himself last night. So you can see a little bit of the twist. We tried to undo it for the video, but this is what we're going to start with. So first we're going to start off with putting some product in his hair. This is called main entail. This is a huge bottle of moisturizer or conditioner, so you can use this as a regular conditioner or you could use it as a leave-in. This was about seven dollars. You can get it at pretty much any beauty supply or even grocery stores like ralph's. So first, i'm gon na have michael apply some of this to his hair, we're just gon na rub it in his hair and leave it on for about one minute all right. So we let the conditioner sit for about one minute and now we're gon na start. Using our twist sponge, so there are a couple different ways to do this. We applied the conditioner to his hair, a lot of guys. They either put the product on the sponge and then they'd use it. At the same time, you could try both see what's best for you, but this is what michael usually does on a daily basis. So that's what we're gon na do today. So now you just grab your sponge. Have the holes facing the hair - and you just continue to go just like this in a circular motion, so whatever direction you do make sure you keep it that way or your hair is gon na, be looking crazy, so we're gon na keep doing this and let It rub around all right, as you can see, let me zoom in it's already creating these like cool little twists and we're going to keep going, and once you really start to see all the pattern in there, then it's okay to kind of just use the whole Sponge and just let it touch the other ones, while you're spinning around and the longer you do it, the more twists it'll be so you could just keep doing it until your desired look, and here it is the final results. So what michael did notice is that my sponge has larger holes than his sponge and it actually does make a difference. So mine made bigger kind of twists where, when he uses his, it actually makes more of like a dreadlock, and it gets really really small and tight at the top. So, depending on what look you're going for make sure you take notice to what size holes of the sponge you are buying and we can stop here, it's perfectly fine. It'S done ready to go we're going to take it one step further and add some more product. Just to make sure it lasts throughout the day, so he usually uses a murray's palm pomade, but i don't have that one, but i do have shea moisture, of course. So this is my three butter styling pomade for men. It has shea butter, avocado butters and it's for all hair types. So, michael, you can do the honors just going to use a little bit like so and we're going to rub it in there. So that is how you use the twist sponge curl sponge new dread. Sponge, whatever brand you're, using if you're, using this large sponge with holes, that is how it works. So this is a really cool way to get a new look. If you're, tired of you know just your average afro, you want to add something different: it's not adding any chemicals, it's just literally rubbing a sponge in a circle on your head. Now this will only work if you have this type of texture like an afro type of texture. It is not going to work on straight hair. Let me just put that out there right now, but if you like this video, please give it a thumbs up and please remember, to subscribe and thank you so much for watching bianca renee today and i'll see you guys next time you

prxncerdvs: Michael if you’re being held hostage blink twice.

Neaque Hatami: she was really trying hard at the end to avoid saying "it wont work on white people hair"

Thrillineum: Thanks Bianca! This was very helpful! Got my curls looking RIGHT!!!

memes_ for_kings: I was trying to figure out how to do this for YEARS!!!!!! THANK YOU!!!!!!

Moneyandfamily: I took the sponge to my cousins house while I slept over there but when I woke up he was cleaning his room with it

Samuel Pirtle: YES! My barber got my hair to look like this, and I didn't even think to ask how he did it before I left. This video has saved me.

ambamluck: Thank you for this video :) I’m trying to learn how to do my boyfriend’s hair and he’s def needs a new sponge. This video was very helpful

Joseph Williams: Great video! Super easy to follow. I'm new to this... Do you have to use the sponge everyday? And should you be adding the mositerizer to everyday as well?

dangerouslyloved16: Thank you for this video!!!! My son’s hair is about his length and I use a sponge with smaller holes on his hair and I hate it so I definitely need to get one with bigger holes.

D. Addison: P.S. those are good to use only so often. It does help "bring out" the curl, it was meant for dreading the hair. Every one hair type is a bit different, so you'll have to gauge it. With that being said, if you use it quite a bit, without picking your hair from time to time, it can become knotted and single curls that once popped will become intertwined with each other, appearing to look like mini dreads. If that's the look you're going for, then by all means. But if you want just the curl, use the nudred or magic curl here and there, and not on a daily basis like I did. Great video.

GG: Looks amazing!

pandabear181: I saw a dad on T.V using a sponge on his sons hair and I didn't understand why. Ty for educating me I think it's such an awesome tool for the hair !!! P.S Both of you have wicked hairstyles!!

Dj 1ei8ht7: Great video! Quick question. My hair isnt as kinky as the young man in the video and I have a hard time getting my hair to twist. It unravels almost immediately. What should I put in my hair before using the sponge? Thank you!

All ways perfect: That's how my brother got his dreads that go down to his eyebrows literally and every now and then he's retwisting them with his fingers its actually cool it even worked on my hair

Erica McCard: This was a great tutorial! Thank you so much :) I have been trying to figure this out with my 2 year old for months.

extravagant: I actually cutted my hair, (wen't from braids to somewhat near micheals type of hair but longer, and had 12 years of growth with braids.) And when I got the brush, I didn't know what it did, because I have a double sided brush, and I've been using the wrong side. So thank you for helping me.

Jenna Hart: My son is mixed and we are starting from square one. So I pick it all out , the first time and do I shampoo normally. He ultimately wants, locs. I appreciate any feedback. ❤️

🤣Marcus_The_Comedian 🤣: Love the video, But three slight things. You can (1).move the sponge much much slower over the head/hair & you (2).don't have to press down on the head/hair at all. Try it that way. {A very light hand. no pushing down on the head/hair, & move the sponge slower} (3). The longer the hair is. it's the harder to sponge the hair. then you'll see the difference. Bless.

Wilhemina Boone: Outstanding presentation

YSL: Love how she gets him to apply everything and gets credit

Edwin Emmanuel: Wow I bought so many sponges and Over 6 years and I get mad and cut my hair and go back to waves but you sponge twist Queen .I just grow it back and try this and I got fire results thanks so much keep up the work

Eunice Mercedes: Thanks Sis !! I bought this for my toddler and didn’t know how to use it

Michael James: Wow, thank you for sharing this... I wanted to know how I was going to make that happen... Great :-)

Lindsey Melton Jr: Hey Bianca Renee I did exactly what you said, followed the instructions step by step word for word and my hair is really twisted!! Thanks for making this video bc used to I just kept my hair cut low but I've always wanted to do this hair style so not 3 months I started letting it grow till the fro was pretty big and then got it cut in this particular style and I'm very pleased. Keep it up!

Beastmode: After watching videos like youres never knew how sought out hair like mine was makes me feel blessed to have curls lol

Star 123: Michael, your hair looks GREAT

Rae Rae Sims: For all the ladies (guys as well) that have 4b -4c hair , Your hair texture is unique love it and learn to live with it there's nothing wrong with it . Sure you have shrinkage problems ,dryness constantly but once you stretch it out I guarantee you can achieve the same looks as 3A-4A ...maybe even rock the natural look better This is coming from a young lady who was born with 3C hair that eventually became a mixture of 3c -4a due to the chemicals I was always putting in my hair

Kendra Johnson: Thank you for this. My daughter cut her hair so I am looking for alternatives since she now wants it to grow back.

SashaBoo: I achieve this look on my son's hair using a regular wash rag and my hands. As long as you go in a circular motion in one direction all over using your choice of moisturizer and /or gel. It works better for me using my hands it clumps together better, no texturizer needed.

ÆLŒYÆ أَلــُّو: Staring at his eyes makes me reconsider all the wrong choices I made in my life and suddenly I don't wana care for my hair anymore.

Iván Melon Lewis: Hi. Nice video. Thanks for share. One question: how many times a week we need to do this, a few or just once?

misskat201021: It looks Good! Thanks for the tip

The MagnoliaBabi: Thank for the tip now mines are twisted up, thank y'all very much❤️❤️

mrbmw21: What's the best way of recurling your hair after it starts to get frizzy after a few days? Should I wash, condition and use the sponge on my hair when it's picked out or just use the sponge on already curled hair until my next wash?

Killmonger: Thank you for this!!!... I never thought to use pomade to keep the twists in.!

LaughYouHealthy: I wish someone would do a video like this for mixed hair with a more loose curl type

Denzel Reyes: Is it okay to use the curl sponge everyday? :)

Nonso Ikeji: Bianca your videos help me all the time... thanks for always making these! If not I would have plain hair LAMMEEEEE

eniola: omg this is great thank you so much xoxo

Stella Grayson: I have found the hair sponge works better on clean hair (shampooed, conditioned, towel-dried, combed through) using "twist and lock" product.

Omarion_ Hitemup: I just did it I love it

ChocolatePumpkinCurlyGirl: This is friggin awesome!!! I've never seen this before. OMG!!

MrBEasy24: I've got the Tornado Coil, when I first bought it I was skeptical but after i started to use it i saw that that it works. I gave me some nice tight curls, I'll keep using it.

Abou Diomande: How long does it last? And also how often do you wash your hair?

L. Roi Boyd: how long did this take for you to do the circuling sponging?

Lezz_Ned: Ooooh boy! I'm looking forward to trying this! Thanks for informing me :D

Celest QB: How can you prevent the white stuff from forming on the ends of your hair ?

Aidan Tse Stuart: Is there a technique / sponge I can use for curling my naturally wavy/curly hair? Of asian descent, and blow drying it takes the curls out. I’m not sure how I can enhance my curls

LGnLA: Gosh that looks relaxing!!!

Big Boy Phantom: can you use this on wavy hair ?

Unnamed: Very informative. Many thanks

DreadLovelies: That's really cool! Thanks for posting. Thank you also for stating what hair types it will work on and won't. That's super helpful!

Eric Matthews: Great video! Thank you

Jordan Cann: When you look on the Internet to figure out how to use a sponge brush and your personal friend's video comes up FIRST!! Get it Queen B!! 2.5 mil +

Joy'sCurls: Wow! That's crazy! That looks dope from just a sponge with holes.

Rich ManZ: great vid. It works like a charms. Thanks

Igor Todorovic: If i has that textured hair I would do this look 100% of the time

Sand Man: Love it !!

Reece Miller: Bianca Renee, are sponges off Amazon good or tacky?

BreeWIN HUBS: Looks real nice!

Da' writer: Dude's staring like he's taking a passport photo

Fushii: Great video keep on making good content

Torey Townsend: If she was brushing my hair like that I would have fallen asleep. It is something about having a women brushing, cutting or cornrowing my hair that is just so relaxing. #GoodDay #HaveABlessedDay

Marz: Hey I got a question, would this sponge work on someone like me who had like a natural afro with loose curls? cause you said it doesn't work on ppl with straight hair so would it work on someone who has any curls at all?

Joel Graham: So is your hair suppose to be wet or dry ? Before using the sponge?

Jerseydix1: Thanks for the video, I had no idea what my son was asking for.

Charmaine Watson: I can't wait to buy my hair sponge, good video, thanks. You can tell You're related, because your eyes are matching.

Ashley Perez: i love the fact that you do mens hair as well!!! helps a lot

Kayra Feliz: Anyone know whether this works on mixed hair? My son is biracial and his hair is somewhere in the middle. It’s coarse and thick but it’s not kinky. He has a combination of tight and medium curls. I tried to use the hair type chart to type him but he doesn’t fall squarely into any one category. If I had to guess though I’d put him around the 3b/3c range. He’s on the spectrum and keeps twisting out his left sideburn so it’s longer than the rest of his hair now . I’m looking for a product that will define his curls or twist them so he has a more even look. Thanks!

Michael Hurst: Thanks very helpful

AyoKobe: In case y'all did not know it works with a soft brush

Bruh Fag: this dude looks like he's been kidnapped and forced to do this video lol

Koa: When should I pick out my hair after I've used the twist sponge?

Just Jay: When do I use it after I wash my hair?

grimlock smash: Lol, you get the most flack ever when you either: A) cut a black person's long, luxurious hair B) damage a black person's hair I apologize that you had to see that side of us when you used the texturizer

Amann Hountondji: FINALLY thank you ive been looking for A wY with out using a curl product... thank you!

Fatima: I didn't know this even existed! Thanks for the video. His hair looks great :)

Nyanna Ross: He looked deep into my soul through the entire intro. His eyes said "help me."

Vanti szn: I'm about to grow my hair out and use a sponge. do I need to use a pick before using the sponge or no pick at all?

Milo Ramsey: when I use the sponge should I use gel or conditioner?

J P: way to go so like how u take time out show people how it's really done so

UNREGULATED LOGIC: How long does this technique last??

Jazzzzz: Cool. I always wondered how some of the guys in my class did this to their hair. If they’d told me sponges, I would’ve thought they were pulling my leg. Also dude is winning the staring contest

Rob F: is there anything you should do to prep your hair for this? Mine is currently too short.

Venus Libra: Everything I wanted to know

Shakur Dt: I don't know the guy , but judging from that look I think he knows me

Daniel Iwuji: What could we use instead of Mane'n'Tail? Vaseline?

GuardianBlackWolf13: is this rough on hair? i suffer from middle splits in my hair but am interested in getting one.

dasrockness: Press 2 for hair without the sponge, press 9 for the finished product, or press 7 for shame then confusion then shame again.

RJ Jones: Just wondering, how many times a day should you sponge your hair?

Roy Harper: Do you have a lot of hair to get bigger twists or does it depend on the sponge

Vapi Wapeusz: Can sb tell me if this sponge works on 3-4" wavy hair?

Nudred: Great talent, however, next time use the "Original NuDred" sponge. With NuDred you don't have to apply nearly as much pressure, healthier for your hair, better results and NuDred will last longer. Black Owned, Manufactured and made in the US.

StayingQuick: do you have to wash the main and tail conditioner out after

Konadius: My hair is really soft and won’t hold that well. What conditioner or gel should I use?

Kadahni Christian: BiancaReneeToday will the sponge take off the moisturize in your hair ?? Is it good to put a leave in or a moisturizer in your hair before you use the sponge

MrK7evyNN: i have my hair like this ive been havin this since 2016 in august im 14 years old i have sponge also its the green one.

Fly Again Wingz: Hey where do you buy a curling sponge?

Reggie Dixon: Why wont condition companies produce conditioners that are black in color instead of pink and white? Then you can leave more product on your hair with out it looking like your hair is white or faded.
