FTC: Every video of mine is sponsored by one or more of my own companies and/or other brands that I work with. It's my job, and I lurv it. All opinions are, of course, honest and my own.

Hello, my lovelies, how are you, I hope, you're all doing really well today, excuse my messy background. I just painted my nails and I was not about to place that down. I was like oh my gosh that looks really messy and distracting, and then I realized that I'm just not gon na get up and and risk wrecking my nails, I'm waiting to go out with the girls, I'm waiting for huzi to come home. So I can go with the girls I had this stuff set up for tomorrow. I had to film this video tomorrow I'll. Do it today any explanation done today. I want to talk to you about hair care. I really want this to be a two-way conversation, so I want you guys to write in the comments your recommendations for hair care. I'M read: well, I'm into kind of experimenting with everything. Let'S face it: makeup, skincare. Okay, so I really want to know what you guys swear by I've got some products here that I have been absolutely loving, really swearing by for the past, I mean up to a year. I know some of you are gon na, be sitting there thinking this. So I'm just gon na kind of get this part out of the way. I know that some of you will be sitting there like your headscarf. How much effort do you put into your hair will do story time, so I was at a L'Oreal shoot the other day and I was watching the hairdresser's put in some hair extensions, so I kind of went up to them. Stop thinking about hair extensions and I started chatting to them about what they recommend, which brands they like and then I was kind of going to the like. The filming area stood there like watching what was happening. They were setting up the studio area and, like one of the hairdresser's, was kind of standing. You know quite made to me and - and I could tell like from the corner of my eye - he was sort of looking over and it was something there's something on his mind and he was kind of hesitating to come and talk to me. So I just turned around him because I knew I knew it was gon na be on his mind. You can ask me and it's a girl. Thank you. So you know you, you do you style your hair and you kind of you know into that and I'm like yeah. I am and he's like. Oh cuz, I you know, I assume that gals who are head scarves, don't aren't really into that and as like, I can't speak about everyone. In fact, if you, if you are a hijab, then let me know in the comments below like to what extent do you style your hair? So I thought you know would be a really nice video to share with you guys what I'm into as far as hair care is concerned now in terms of hair styling, that would be a different video. So if you want to watch a video on hair styling, obviously I won't be styling my hair and showing you, but I can show you like products tools, kind of thing and that I like, if you're curious, there is something floating around here. So let me know in the comments, if that is something that you'd be interested in watching for now. Let'S get into this video right, so hair care is really important to me. The last hair care video that I made was on the shampoo that I was using, which was the main and hair. I think that was quite a while ago. I'Ve now moved on to a shampoo that I absolutely love. It'S the I don't know if I'm gon na pronounce this correctly, but it's Cara Stars. This shampoo is beautiful. It volumizes my hair. It cleans my hair, no matter how often I you know, like some shampoos, if you use them everyday, your hair feels kind of stripped and dried. It doesn't feel that way with this at all. It feels like it feels like my hair is kind of just really soft and fluffy. After using this shampoo, I've got wavy hair, so my ways don't become like frizzy. I can go either way right, so I can either enhance my waves or like make my hair straight. I can go Kylie or straight, but when I leave it wavy this doesn't make it get all frizzy it's just. My waves are really lovely and soft, and I really love this shampoo, so I've been using this for a while and found that I love it as much as I used to it. I'M talking about a Steve shampoo years ago, first time uses shampoo was when I walked out the salon with purple hair yeah and they use this and I bought it, and I was like completely devoted to the brand. They do all sorts of things. In fact, I might just switch my entire hair cap on to the brand, because I want to try their hair masks. I think they do. I used to use that a while ago, anyway, for the time being conditioner wise, I literally just started using this banana truly nourishing conditioner from the body shop and that was based on the reviews on the website. So I'm one of those people that just goes and reads reviews on everything. Even if I'm spending a pound on Amazon, I will go and find the product. I will read through the reviews - and this had really good reviews on the website. I think or somewhere. I'Ve read really good reviews on this, so I started using this literally just about a week ago, so I've only used it a couple of times and it's a really good condition. I like the smell of it like the smell of bananas. I can't eat them because I'm allergic, that's another another video altogether, but I love the smell of bananas and this does feel really nice. I apply conditioner only to the ends of my hair, never to like near my scalp, and this just does feel really nice. I guess, after washing my hair, whilst it's still wet, I use about once a week or they've been really bad, especially since the extensions started happening, and I kind of go times without using this at all. This is the Schwarzkopf I don't know. I think that right, Schwarzkopf Schwarzkopf may how'd you pronounce this okay Schwarzkopf. She walks a cop. If I go like this, maybe you'll be distracted by the fact that I'm pronouncing it wrong. It'S the hair, activator activating serum, be not fooled by this tiny bottle, because this is awesome. I started using it because, after you have kids, your hair changes for a period of time. In the beginning, it falls out a lot and that's just because that's excess hair, like dead hair, that hasn't fallen out during pregnancy, because your body is just so amazing and it just holds onto the hair and you have lovely thick hair and then, after the wavy Lots of hair falls out and panic totally normal, and then what happened was. I went through a period where my hair just wasn't back to what it was and before having my kids. So my sister recommended this to me and she was like. Oh, this will make your hair grow and I was like bit skeptical and I tried it, and this actually does work initially. Obviously, you'll be thinking. You know, placebo effect, there's nothing to compare it to. How do I know that my hair wouldn't have grown back. Had I not used this, but the way that I knew this was working was because I kept getting loads of baby hairs grow around the hairline. It was surprising because I didn't think that I had less hair hair. You know like I wasn't. My hair wasn't thinning hair. I didn't realize that there was any more hair to grow around there, but I noticed just loads of new baby hairs coming and I was like oh wow, okay, this is amazing, and that was only after. I started using this. So what you do is it actually comes with a little green, I'm sort of applicator which I've left in my bathroom. So you take the lid off. You put the applicator on and then you sort of just dab it or your head. Then you like massage it in and you do that whilst your hair still wet - and you do that, like I said once about once a week but like I've been using it on and off for ages, and I just use it it's a kind of maintenance thing. Now - and you know what thank God hamdulillah, my hair is completely back to what it was like before kids and I really do put it down to this little tube of goodness. Oh, the harp music playing okay next step, whilst my hair is still wet, I kind of hold my head upside down and ice, but you know towel dry the hair and then I spray this kara star's elixir all-team through my hair. This is a volumizing oil mist. That'S what it does for me doesn't say: volumizing Ole, Miss Ole, Miss no volumizing oil mist on the front, but that's what it does to my hair. Let me read the back. It says: shake spray on to dry or wet hair. I prefer it in wet hair. I find that it really does volumize and sort of it just gives a lift to my hair, which is lovely and it smells moving. So you have to shake it before using because you can see it like the bits of oil in there, and this is fantastic. Absolutely love it highly recommend. Now, let's talk about dry hair. If you are a hijab', if you are a headscarf, you know that there are times when you take a favorite scarf when you get home and you find that it has really flat. You know like it's just flat, there's two products. I want to share with you, so the first thing is dry shampoo. I use the one by kallab. In fact, all the ones I've used up my club actually because this isn't the first one. This one is the London classic fragrance, which is a classic yet contemporary fragrance of Bergamo musk and Magnolia. It'S basically, a dry shampoo is developed by Ruth Quinny, who is in model recommends she's also on the glam squad and the l'oreal glam squad really lovely woman. Thanks love bug he's pointing to me she's in there in the grid. Who do you think it is? I use this when I want to volumize this part of my hair, like if I've gotten under scarf on, and I take my scarf off and I find that a hair just feeling a bit flat. I just turn my head upside down spray. This through sort of the roots at the front kind of go like this, massage it in and it volumizes the hair. So so, well, you know like if it's a hot day and you come home in the evening - and you don't want to wash all your hair again, you just want to kind of revitalize it and bring it back to life, because it's just a bit flat and Greasy, that's when I'll use this. I love luminous hair like when I'm even if I've got my hair up like in a sort of burner and a high pony, I still like to kind of volumize this bit. The other thing I absolutely love is the botanicals fresh care shine. Vinegar. This stuff is so good. They have this whole range. I'M gon na try their mask next cuz. That looks really really good and I've got their conditioner as well, but I was like, let me finish this first. You know you have so much product. You know. I just want to try it all, but I don't want to try like one thing one day and then another thing another day like I like to give products a little bit of time to work so the whole. This whole range looks really good, but anyway - and this is the radiance remedy shine vinegar now this says: let me read the front: it says for dull or colored hair, it's leave-in care infused with geranium oil for instant shine. I prefer using lighter things like lighter products, as opposed to heavier things like serums light. Oils are okay, but serums and sort of heavier things I prefer not to use. It feels really lovely. It'S really light. Super easy to use doesn't make my hair feel heavy or greasy it just kind of brings back that sort of lovely shine to that. You know that shine that you get after you've just dyed your hair, and you get you know, they're put in that lovely leave-in treatment. This is the kind of shine that this gives spray a couple of pumps onto dry hair, any time of the day to refresh dull or colored hair, so yeah, this has been amazing. It'S the whole experience. Isn'T you kind of feel pampered, especially if you've been out, you know with your headscarf on the whole day and you come home and at first you take it off and you get that amazing feeling giving it a lovely brush that lovely massage that you get and Then you spray something through every time I come home I'll, go to my room, I'll go to the bathroom. Now I've got my lovely I'm going this my closet. It doesn't feel like an office at first, so you support my office, but I kind of just come in here. Everyone kind of just leaves me to it. Let'S take my scarf off brush my hair through fold. My scarf put it away. This is my after all, right here behind me for now anyway, and I just got that you know get those couple of minutes to just sort of just sort myself out. You know give my hair a bit of pampering and it just feels lovely, and it really does make a difference to your day, especially you know if you're a mum, you've got kids and just to get those couple of minutes away where you know they they well. Let'S face it, they will find you won't you I mean you could be in the bathroom and they'll find you something urgent will happen while you're in the bathroom there's a few minutes of peace, you get anyway. I digress. Pardon these the other hair care bits that I do is I apply coconut oil once I would say about every fortnight. The other thing that I do less often this will be like. Maybe you want some month or once every two months is put a hair mask on so like and I've a cardio mask or I'll just make something at home with honey, olive oil. Oh yeah. Let me share my lip colour with you, since we're here, and people often ask a quick for ever in 20 C. First, it's really bright. So then I tried to kind of shear it out a bit and put a gloss over the top with this wires fell. Tinting bomb in shade one, which is a beautiful light pink, is one of my favorites and I run over it with this hourglass. I wish lip color, it kind of just muted it out of it. I always layer, my lip colors again. I digress. I'M feeling really chatty today, let's end this video here I hope you enjoyed watching it. Let me know in the comments below what your favorite haircare products and what you swear by and let me know your secrets and yeah I'll catch you very soon in my next video keep smiling and I hope you have a wonderful day. Take

Amena: Thanks for your lovely comments! Can't wait to try some more recommendations! PS. I hope you like the random zoomy in and out bits. Hubsy said it might be nice to add effects lol lotsa love x

Manta: Found my hair was thinning at the front after wearing the hijab for years and started using a mix of castor and Argan oil on the roots, twice a week massage in to the thinning areas, and it's amaaaazing after 3 weeks saw such a difference loads of baby hairs have grown in now and I feel so much more confident !!

Ranya Reed: I have curly hair and it took me a while to embrace it and to find the ideal hair care routine. As I am a hijabi as well I sadly neglected my hair in the past but now it's completely different alhamdulillah:) For curly hair I really love the Shea Moisture products and Cantu styling products to keep the curls in place. And I LOVE to use organic coconut oil for deep conditioning. For those who have curls as well, try to embrace and style your natural hair I promise you you'll love it once you've learned how to take care of them:)

Fatema's Art Show: Yes I dye, style and look after my hair. People look shocked when I tell them infact my friend's who are girls get shocked when they see my hair they don't expect it. Love the video as always xxxx

Ermina Imamovic: Thank you for sharing so many awesome products! I can't wait to try some of them for myself :D Esp interested in the Schwarzkopf hair activator serum, that one sounds amazing! I have very fine hair and my ends tend to get quite dry and frizzy, but my scalp gets oily quickly. I have used the blue Kerastase like waay back, and liked it for a while.. but like with every schampoo I try, after a while, the effect wears off and I have to change. Super annoying! Products I like at the moment are: 1. uniq one - hair treatment by Revlon (the red one smells amazing, or the white one with the smell of coconut is also good) 2. For schampoo I use Angel en provence - Lavender Full Energetic for fine hair and I love the subtle smell of lavender and rosemary. It's a natural schampoo as well with organic ingredients, just lovely! 3. Top it off with Macadamia Nourishing moisture mask once a month or so. I have been interested in hair vitamins lately but haven't yet tried it out. Do you use any, and if so, do you have any recommendations?

Smil3 _x: I used to use the brand keratase it never worked for me, so I switched and started to use OGX. Can honestly say it's done wonders to my hair

Naima Asma: Such an important topic! Especially for us who choose to wear a headscarf. Thank you for your recommendations. :)

aaalimm R: I love your videos esp the ones with recommendations! I have always benefitted from your videos. Love you ❤️

suha r: The Chi silk infusion in amazing!I only use a few drops and it makes my hair feel lovely and soft, and my hair still feels like that when i take off my hijab.

All Nutritious: Coconut oil has saved my hair and I use it almost every day! Also, put on natural masks now and then! :> Beautiful video :))

Temporary Username: I use Redkin 25-in-one spray in my hair. I got it at the local hair salon I go to. It has 25 purposes, like I don't remember them all, but like detangling, heat protection, conditioning. Those are the 3 I remember. But I swear by it, I love it. I have kinda dry fine hair and this stuff really makes my hair feel nice.

Zianaz: Oh my god the hair after you take off your hijab needed that so much thanks Amena. I should mention that I wasn't a hijabi before and always watched your tutorials and learnt them my heart and now I am a hijabi for 3 years I think. Thanks a lot Amena. Oh and I kind of fluff my hair beneath using a punch clip the hijab to avoid the flatness.

Sheliza Ghanty: Although I am a hijabi, I still style my hair whether it's dying trimming or keratin :)

Layla Bird: Loove your recommendations! Hope to suss them out soon! Thanks Amena! :)

Tan S: Love this hijab style on you! You look incredibly chic :)

عائشة: MashaAllah i loved this!!! Ur very inspirational esp being a hijabi ♡

Saarah Sudally: I am a teenage hijabi and i really take into consideration haircare I feel that while having the hijab my hair is always in a bun so there are hairfalls As far as styling i do style my hair at home with family . Love you ❤❤❤

Houda A: I personally like using 100% natural stuff for my hair so coconut oil, shea butter, jojoba oil and brands that are all natural like shea moisture. Otherwise I also love the hair repair oil from Yves Rocher for dry and damaged hair whenever my hair need a little extra care

Zizi A: Assalamu alaikum. Thank you so much, I really needed your video as my hair has gone through loads of changes. It became crap because of an immunosuppressive disease and its treatments. Then I lost it all. After it started growing back, I had to have some shaved off for brain surgery. There's so much advice online about hair care but I'm glad to be taking from you because I trust you highly. Have you or anyone else used castor oil for hair growth? How do you use it?

Yousra Anbari: Assalamu alaykoum Amena nice video I always look for the most natural stuff I can find and try to avoid products filled with chemicals. I also apply coconut oil every time I wash my hair. Btw I really like your sweater, where is it from ?? love you xx

Mila A.: Wow Great review! I’m definitely going to try those out!

Mona: You look absolutely stunning! Not to come off as rude, but did you get your lips done? I love love them! Either way you look amazing! <3

paddy condron: The kerastase vita cement shampoo and conditioner (in a green bottle)is thaaaa bombbbbb! Love you and your channel from Patrick in Ireland

Mashhudah: OMG i need that Schwarzkopf in my life seriously depressed with post pregnancy hair loss nearly a year and a half on... btw I used to use one of the kerastase hair masks before when I used to go swimming I used to run it through my hair to protect it from the chlorine then wash it out after it worked wonders.

valf156115: Love your video as always amena!

ferda begum: I would recommend oils: that are pure organic cold pressed such as Argan, castor, coconut oil, sweet almond oil, shea butter with a few essential oils of your choice. Also use sls free shampoo/conditioner.

Sidra: where did you buy the hair activator serum from?

Lisa Bepunkt: 5:18 you've pronounced it very well. Greetings from Germany

Reet C: Amena I love you sooooooo much!! Hugs from Canada xo

wardah: Salam !Ever since I started university my hair has been falling out, and I never used to have that problem. I have naturally very straight, silky, and semi thick hair. I take a cup of water and fill it with either 1 tbs or 2 tbs of apple cider vinegar and put it into the cup of water and then put it in my hair

Aminata Kiné Daff: What helps me the most regarding hair care is to wear a satin or silk scarf under my hijab to avoid my hair rubbing to any rough material thus getting dry and frizzy. I have very sensitive scalp so silk scarfs r life savers. My hair s very thick and curly and prone to dryness, what has helped the most to keep it moisturized and soft and easy to style is flaxseed gel ! Hope that this will help someone. Love uuu btw Amena. U ve been and still r someone who really inspires me =)

for once: This might be old school but I still swear by Vatika hair masks!

Silent Seeker: Banana nourishing conditioner (Bodyshop) Kerastase shampoo Kerastase oil mist (preferred wet hair)

Zainab Ariz: Omg same! I will read over a thousand reviews for just 1 product for even a dollar! K also like hair masks and hair massage and oils!

Panya V: I don't style my hair, dye it, nor get shaped haircuts [I donate it every five years; it was 35 inches last time]. I wear it in a bun, ponytail, or braid almost constantly, except when I wear it down on the 1st day or two after washing it [which is once a week]. I usually wear it in a bun at the nape of my neck under my hijab, then usually move the bun to the crown of my head when I get home. It was the same before I started wearing hijab too -- mostly because my hair is pin-straight and very silky, therefore very difficult to style, so I just put it up out of my face and off of my neck. I don't use anything on it besides salicylic acid shampoo for my scalp issues, a nourishing conditioner from the middle to the ends, and occasionally some plain glycerin [bought at a grocery store] applied to the ends. I don't even use a hair dryer but a couple of times a year. I always wear a wig cap under my hijab, partly because my hair is so silky that underscarves/hijabs just slide off if I don't, and partly to protect my hair from the friction of the underscarf/hijab fabric.

Barakah Boutique: Wow..amazing video n tips for hijabis..I mostly try to use all herbal products..like Indian most famous herbs shikakai, ritha, amla, brahmi, neem, n list go on...so I use shampoo of these herbs, n homemade oils as well...use argan oil as Serum..It's light weight n I love it...so wat to try ur hair growth activator though...but love wat I am doing as after 4 babies I was facing huge hair loss problem...that I was totally.in shock...so tried these herbs n it's working well for me..I am happy super happy..

Zareen A: Can you please do a hijab tutorial of how you did your hijab in this video? I own this hoojab and would love to learn how you styled it ❤️

skeetzy82: OmG, my hair just not the same since I have a baby a year ago. When you said after having kids hair just not the same, it hit me, it's normal

Sa saidi: I love kerastase especially the line with the white and orange! but I want to try yours too...try Joico as well dear..especially their protein deep treatment mask Kpak and the blue moisture conditioner..amazing brand

san joed: Hi Amena I ❤️ your video , I love everything healthy stuff can you please give me a recipe for growing hair please without banana thank you so much

Maia: How long do you have to use the Swartzkopf serum?

Ahyan’s chanel: you are a gorgeous lady i have come across and elegant tooo... love the way you explain your products.

Hilary1989: Actually the first two times you pronounced Schwarzkopf much better than after that I'm German, my username just stems from the time of being a teenager and huge Hilary Duff fan . Anyway, I'm not a hijabi, but I also don't style my hair ☺ just doing different kind of braids and ponytails, that's it. I just use shampoo and sometimes conditioner and some kind of oil for the ends.

Patrycja Konewko: You're so beautiful!

skippykipper101: I've been wearing hijab since I was 11, and I never really learned how to style my hair. All I do is dying every so often

Wh o: Assalamu Alaikum Amena, I would be really grateful if you could tell me where you got the top from. It looks incredibly cosy and lovely! Hugs

Mashhudah: Where can I get the hair activator? I have been looking for it but can't seem to find it and not sure what websites can be trusted as it is quite pricey

Raeesah Kahn: Marc Anthony Coconut oil treatment is pretty good too!

valf156115: Anyone have any tips for women losing hair due to pcos? I've been trying castor oil but find it quite heavy.

Muslimah1987: I was born with a head-full of thick hair but as of the past 7-8 years, have lost almost all the hair at the front of my scalp. My scalp too suffers some sort of condition that makes it stinky and either too dry or too oily. My hair is always dry, frail, wispy, stringy and generally very damaged. I used Jason's anti-dandruff shampoo which finally took care of the stink problem (it has sulphur & salicylic acid) but no amount of home-made (or otherwise) remedies over the past 2 years have made any improvement to my hairloss. I plan to see a specialist about this in the near future but don't want any of the chemical-heavy treatments like Minoxidil etc - I'd much rather get to the root cause of the imbalance and work from there. If anyone has experienced anything similar, I'd love to know how you dealt with it.

whereisangie: ooohh! i am going to try that hair activating serum.

Z: yes for hair styling video! I also do hijab :D

Saf 84: I use mainly organic products on my hair so use organic argan shampoo and conditioner for my hair. I oil my hair twice a week one time with organic argan oil and one time with organic virgin coconut oil. My best product that I've loved and is my go to is the Ojon restorative hair treatment it does wonders to my hair not sure if you can still get it though I can't seem to find who stocks it anymore. My tub is nearly finished :/

Mariam Bibi: Nice and very informative video ☺️Where did you buy that sweater? Love the colour and how you look in it ☺️

Kirsty Macfarlane: I'm only buying cruelty free products so I'm on the hunt for the best shampoo and conditioner. I'm trying Maria Mila which is OK but I don't get my usual 2-3 days between washes. I have the Amika triple r deep conditioner and it's amazing but you can't get the mini size shampoo and conditioner in the UK and it's expensive if I don't like it. So if anyone knows of an excellent cruelty free brand, that keeps your hair looking fresh for 3 days, please let me know. TY in advance
