Hello, everybody welcome back to my channel where we talk about skincare grooming and sometimes hair. So that sounds like a thing make sure you are subscribe, also come and follow me on instagram, where I put a lot of stuff you're, not gon na see here on YouTube. Okay, so I'm finally doing a and sometimes hair video, these videos don't get a lot of views, but I'm non-stop asked to do them, which is fair enough, because I talk about him, my intro all the time. So what I'm gon na do today is share. My top tips tricks and hacks when it comes to looking after your hair, a few basics and a few haircare plates. I like using also a little myth. I'M just testing the waters with this because, as I said, not many people watch these videos, but I wan na. I want to give you some hair content, so between jobs. I worked for a salon for two years. I worked on the front desk. I was a reception manager for a little bit, but I learned so many amazing tips and information from the hairstylist and the colorist. They were like extremely extremely talented and clever people, so I'm gon na share some stuff that I've learned we're gon na start off with a few little tips about how to wash your hair. And I know this sounds super super simple, but a lot of people get it wrong the basics wrong, but do bear in mind that just like skin care, hair care is also very, very personal. It'S also very, very situational. So whilst a lot of people are like you shouldn't wash your hair every day, are you putting products in your hair every day? Are you running every day? Are you sweating every day? Do you get greasy? Do you get oily? You know it completely depends on your situation, it's more about what we're doing to care for our hair. So, let's start off with a few tips now some people are really surprised when I say this, but did he know, shampoo is only meant to be used on your scalp and the roots of your hair, not the ends. You go up to your mid lengths and that's about it. Conditioner is for the mid lengths and then the ends of your hair if you've been applying shampoo and conditioner all over your hair and it's working for you stick to it. You'Re good. However, conditioner can make your scalp, but very very greasy. Traditionally, conditions have a lot of like nourishing oils in silicones as well. That together can be quite heavy on the roots of your hair. It can make your hair get super greasy super quick and can stop your hair from having any volume whatsoever. Shampoos only belongs on their roots and the mid length. This is because this is where our natural oils really really are and concentrating too much of the ends of your hair, really really dry out your hair. That being said, though, don't go crazy with shampoo ever I'm one of those people that get the shampoo porn I'm like and it all comes out, then you know: there's soap suds absolutely everywhere, but see it as like a cleansing stage for your hair because it is But take that small amount of shampoo working to the roots of your hair. If you need more that, you can always add more, you don't to be going crazy with shampoo suds and it getting ever and jerking down your body and stuff, because that can also lead to breakouts. As far as the technique goes, when it comes to washing your hair, you should be using like the path of your fingers, so doing what I do my Chi, oh so you're still my skincare doing it like this rather than a scrubbing motion, so very gently massaging Around on the scalp, you can damage hair follicles. You can obviously scratch your head. You want to be super super gentle, especially if it has thin and you're prone to a lot of hair falling out when you brush your hair things like that, if you're styling it with heat and tools every single day, you want to be as gentle as possible. So scratching and scrubbing at your scalp, isn't really gon na help with that you want to be super. Super gentle and you really want to be massaging with the pads. Can we call these pads do not apply conditioner to wet hair? I know a lot of us know this by now, but we want the product to penetrate and coat the fibers of the hair if your hair is soaking wet instead of towel dried, which is how you should apply conditioner, because it's like just sit on top of Those hair follicles it can't penetrate through their water and then it's more like it's just kind of like slip off your hair, so gently gently towel dry. Another tip that I learned the hard way from if you use a lot of hair product and you regularly wash your hair, you could get product build-up. This looks like you've been painting a wall. White and you've got little flecks of white paint in your hair, so products that shampoo really have a problem washing out so hair products made from waxes and oils, but also shampoos and conditioners, can leave a residue on the hair that over time builds up and leaves Those white strands on the hair so consider doing a double cleanse for your hair. If you have this product buildup or even just to prevent the product build-up, if you do a lot of hair styling on like a daily basis, so just like a double cleanse, you want to apply shampoo to dry hair and apply it to those strands of hair. We see that product building up work in massage spend a good amount of time of it, spend about two minutes, massaging in and then lover up like your emulsifying. So a little bit of wall, water, larva it all up, it'll, really get the shampoo working rinse away and then go in with a normal shampoo like you would do with a double cleanse. One myth that I want to share with you guys, because it's kind of personal to me it's that head and shoulders is not a bad product, despite what a lot of people think. So whenever I do my skincare routines, I often film it in my own suite bathroom and you can see the shower in the background and it's got head and shoulders there. Bang in the middle and a lot of people leave a comment like. Oh my god. Why do you use head and shoulders? Because it's a good shampoo, the myth is that head and shoulders doesn't help with dandruff or flaky scalp. It temporarily eases the down trough and flakes, so you have to keep using head and shoulders for the rest of your life. So, of course, henna show is an anti dandruff shampoo. The anti dandruff ingredient is zinc, peripheral and I think you pronounce it a pirate theone, which is an antifungal and antibacterial ingredient that kills the fungus and bacteria in your head. That creates dandruff. Now not a lot of us are going to have real dandruff. You know extreme flaky dandruff. A lot of us will just have a dry flaky scalp, so zinc, pyrithione is a treatment, so your scalp doesn't rely on it. If that makes sense, like a lot of people, think it does professionals recommend using an anti-dandruff shampoo for about two weeks every day and then after that, easing up use. So two, like three days two days eventually one day been carrying on with a regular shampoo. You should see a difference in the quality of your scalp, the dryness that flakiness the dandruff enos. If not, then it's probably time to go to a doctor and get a medicated shampoo, but for us everyday people who occasion get an itchy and dry flaky scalp. This is absolutely fine, it doesn't dry out your hair and, if you're like me and your wardrobe is black everything you might want to be using this whenever you shampoo your hair, which is exactly what I do, if you go to a salon and get what's kind Of known as a scalp renewing treatment, it's usually just anti dandruff shampoo made into a nice treatment or conditioner. Its main ingredient is gon na, be that zinc, pyrithione, Paris, Leone. It'S like our skincare in a way like we don't use an IH a rubber over once then we're like. Well, that's it! That'S all my dead skin gone forever. The rest of my life is a treatment that you have to keep up regular juice with. Not everyone suffers from a flaky scalp. If you do, there's nothing wrong with your main, shampoo being head and shoulders, it does its job. So I want to finish with a few favorite products, of course, head shoulders. I'M just gon na get out of the way. As I said, I use it whenever I shampoo my hair, it leaves my hair feel nice and soft. It leaves my scalp, not itchy and not flaky. As I said, I would have black all the time. I don't want a little white bits on my clothing. I'Ve already got dog hair over everything. I don't want flaky scalp over everything on the same kind of level. I'Ve been using, try arcades accent, rx2 scalp cleanser, so I always have to read their names right off. The bottle you know them for making skin care. So when I saw that this was a shampoo, it was gifted to me. I was a little bit shocked. I was like. Is this a body cream or what is this? Then I saw it as a shampoo, but this contains salicylic acid, which is an ingredient that was used a lot in like old-style anti-dandruff shampoos like tea gel. You know, but it wasn't quite good enough for extreme dandruff, but it's a really really good ingredient for the occasional flaky scalp dry, scalp itchy and oily scalp as well. You also have niacinamide in here as well, which helps with the oil production in your scalp. This is a shampoo I can use on a daily basis or alongside a normal shampoo if you have a dry scalp. This is also a good like once a week treatment. So I don't do a lot of hair treatments, but I do treat my hair like it's dry because I heat style it pretty much everyday and pretty much have done since the age of 14, but it's never ruined my hair. I'Ve never had dry hair other than when I bleached it. It'S never been ruined from heat, but that's because I conditioned my hair a lot. I use a lot of. I never use heat protectant, but I use a lot of moisturizing products after conditioning products. So the only real hair mask I do is this product here is legend by law originals. I love this mask because you apply it to dry hair. I know it sounds really simple, but what I don't like about hair treatments and hair masks is that you put them into wet hair right now. Towel dried hair after you've, already shampooed, you have to leave it inflate 10 minutes. Then you have to rinse our again and then dry, your hair again and it's such a huge hassle and a load of effort. This treatment I put in what like an hour before I go for a shower, then you leave on minimum 15 minutes maximum all day. If you like, and just rinse it off when you shower, is really convenient, it's not a hassle, so this actually contains kaolin clay, which I love because, as I said, my hair can get very greasy. Very, very quick, oh by the way I've cut my own hair - and I know it looks terrible, so this helps absorb all that excess oil without drying out my scalp without drying out my hair. This has shea butter in as well green tea for all those antioxidants, but this also has sunflower and grapeseed oil, both rich in vitamins and fatty acids, and you can really feel how smooth your hair is. After this, this does contain water-soluble silicones as well. So your hair feels soft but doesn't feel bogged down with a product, maybe get a nice blow-dryer. You get a nice volume after this as well. I find that with a lot of conditioners or treatments, if my hair is too soft, I can't style where, if that makes sense, it's a bit T like just does where, once this isn't like that, there's conditions and treats without making my hair feel like too fluffy. After which I really really like, but that is it, that was a quick video, I'm testing the waters as far as like the hair content goes. I hope you enjoyed it. These basic tips. Let me know if you want to know more or have any questions regarding hair leave, those in the comments box down below, but that is it for me now guys. I will see you next time.

KingPatwreckkk: Finally, the "and Sometimes hair" weve been waiting for.

Nicki: Can’t believe this day is finally upon us. Sometimes hair day.

Milena Vukosavic: The Inkey List just revealed their new hair and scalp treatment line the other day! Would love to hear your opinion on it

ShimmeringShai: I never used to wear sunscreen on the daily, but I do now since I've started watching you because I can imagine how you'd react to that and I don't think I could handle the disappointment

Laura Claydon: excuse me but... I've never heard of half this stuff!! please keep making these hair videos because I for one am learning so much!

veggie-vamp: I used to get “acne cosmetica” or acne caused by hair products in my hairline and nape of the neck. Using a salicylic acid shampoo really did help clear that up when allowing the acid to sit on the scalp for a couple minutes to penetrate the pore before rinsing out. Just a little tip and trick from a hairstylist I thought I’d throw out there.

Sebastian: YES FINALLY "AND SOMETIMES HAIR" IS HERE

joshdotcom: JAMES!! We love all of your videos including your "sometimes hair"!!! Even though they may not get as many views sometimes never let it discourage you and always remember to make what you love because we love to watch YOU :))

Niamh W: I obviously missed the memo where we were told to apply conditioner to towel dried hair. Didn’t know this was a thing until 10 seconds ago.

Danielle Kulp: Please please please more hair care. I feel like there aren’t really good informational videos on a hair care routine.(especially for dandruff!)

Caidalee: “We all know not to condition hair that’s wet” -We WHAT????

Allison Scott: Here's the thing though: there's a difference between a dry scalp and dandruff. Dandruff is a fungus while dry scalp is just the same as a dry face. I think most people see flakes and assume it's dandruff when they really just have a dry scalp.

Tweedle Dee: For all the people saying he never does "sometimes hair" he did a whole vid dedicated to his brows. That is hair as far as I am concerned

Matthew Michael: YESSS. I swear theres no reliable hair information out there like skincare. Thankyou for doing this!

Gema Perez: How is it these brothers always know what I need to learn from makeup and skincare or just a break from reality?!? I literally noticed today that “buildup” problem on my hair, and it looks flat. Thank you for all your advice! Love you, James

Deepthi Inamdar: Thanks James, I was really waiting for this, I wash my hair everyday for last 12 years, I have oily scalp. Every tip is very useful. I’m using some of skin care products you recommend, loving it, I’ll try head & shoulders! Thank you the way your skin looks flawless as always ❤️

Cheryl De-Zilva: So I've been washing my hair wrong for the last 40 + years! Well damn! Reading your comments, I'm not alone here, have we all been taught incorrectly, this isn't common knowledge at all. Thank you for teaching us James, I hope to have fantastic hair after my next shower!

Brooklynn Marie : Hi James! Love your channel and love that you make quality content with actual professional tips! I am a licensed cosmetologist and have worked in a salon for a few years as an assistant manager, and I will say I love that you mentioned the importance of washing your hair properly because that is so crucial to healthy hair, but in loving constructive criticism I do have to disagree with the head and shoulders. I’m sorry! But the truth is, yes there are ingredients in it that do help with dandruff, however the main concern and problem with head and shoulders and most drugstore shampoos have other ingredients besides that and what happens to your hair follicles over time from using drugstore shampoos is the ingredients in them will clog your hair follicles and once the hair follicles become clogged overtime the hair will begin thinning. Especially in men’s hair, I see it all the time with clients that use head and shoulders! The hair begins to thin and eventually will seal over and that’s when men begin to see balding. Once it has sealed over the damage becomes permanent. If you use this product only when you’re having a problem with dandruff that is totally fine. But I always recommend other alternatives to head and shoulders. My favorite is Matrix biolage scalpsync. I don’t think you use head and shoulders everyday lol but just a little warning for this product!

Blue Echo: James! Thank you so much for this video! I went into it with the premise of helping my brother with his hair care and ended up getting tips for my mother and myself as well so thank you! Please consider making more.

Gillian Shayne: Yay! The “sometimes hair” I’ve been waiting for! Lol. I just recently started using fermented rice water (homemade) and ordered the stuff to make my own onion juice, would love to hear your thought on those treatments! I also ordered some tea tree oil to add to both to cut those funky ass smells lmao and just for the benefits of tea tree (love the Paul Mitchell tea tree shampoo for a clarifying shampoo). As for massaging like you said, I just got myself a scalp massager so good! Love your tips for everything so I’m looking forward to more hair care videos!!

Faith X: This was fantastic to watch! I loved the myth part. I have psoriasis and it mainly is on my scalp, so shampoos like head and shoulders are a much. I also like how you add in the part that hair care is personal. I get a lot of crap because I wash my hair everyday. But if I didn't I would literally have sores on my scalp from how itchy and sensitive it gets. Thank you for always putting in stuff like that

Martin Moore: Well I really loved this “and sometimes hair” moment. Gosh I feel like I’ve learned a lot. I would definitely be one who could definitely benefit from your tips, tricks and experience. Working with my thinning hair and trying things out, like discovering skincare, they are not worlds apart I discover late in life, all part of the same organism. So, thanks.

Rose: 'I know a lot of us know [not to apply conditioner to wet hair] by now'... Yeah I 100% knew that Been watching you and Robert and stepping my game up make up and skin and now hair wise since lockdown! I just conditioned after towel drying and oh my god! I feel so glossy and moisturised!!! Cannot thank you enough

Luciana Merij: Loved it! It is so great to watch a few simple tips. I feel like hair related content can be soooooo complicated, a million steps a million rules and of course, zillions of products. Congrats on the great video :)

Scott UWC: Yes some great tips and really appreciate the explanation between dandruff and flakey scalp and how/when to use different products, thank you!

Maria Gouveia: It's "and sometimes hair"!!! Love your Chanel James, you made me care more for my skin and now I love the way it looks

Flowcean Soul: Finally hair care tips from someone I actually trust! Thank you! Can’t wait to see more hair content!

KellyH0878: Years ago I used to get perms and multiple hair stylists told me that Head and Shoulders would take a perm out very quickly. Thanks for all the great tips!

Katherine Hayes: You know what I've always found crazy af with me James?? I have SEVERELY oily and weirdly sensitive skin on my face, and I have 100% normal hair that can take alot! I wish my skin would know what that "normal" feeling is like.... P.S. When I say my hair is "normal", I also mean that I wash my top-of-my-shoulders-length hair once a week, sometimes twice a week. It doesn't get oily fast at all!

katerina leka: Head & shoulders was recommended to me as a treatment shampoo by a dermatologist, along with a betamethasone-salicylic acid lotion...this is the ONLY treatment that has EVER worked for me for my SEVERE seborrheic dermatitis of the scalp. Not saying that it is gonna work for someone else and that is my point: Certain "mainstream" products/ingredients are being demonized by consumers either because of something they heard or because the product/ingredient didn't suit them. p.s.: Dear James, we need more "and sometimes hair"-days <3

Valerie Reyna: Was so excited when this came out! I came back to it because my hairs been oily ever since changing my routine to James recommendation to only apply shampoo to the roots. I guess all over just works for me ‍♀️

Andrea Neva: Love head & shoulders! Great cleansing and shampoo. Also great for body acne. Took a medication that caused my back to breakout :( my naturalpathic doctor told me to use head & shoulders as a body wash. Less then a wk & it was gone.

Laura L: Loved this video! ❤ I agree 100%about the head and shoulders shampoo. One of my favs and I dieeee for the mint one

Kett: I think this video is helpful, however I would’ve loved to hear you say at the top of the video whether or not these tips applies to all textures of hair or some (based on your expertise in the salon you worked at). As a coily haired person, some of the advice left me with questions about your thoughts for various curl patterns and/or porosity. Thank you for sharing :)

Cents Win?: Thanks for being so good to us for really reading comments & always coming through. You’re amazing !!

DollylynRuth: Yay!!! Omg I’m living for this video! I’ve been needing a better hair routine so as my items run out I’ll replace with some of your recommendations:) and Yess, Head and shoulders is Great!

N Gabriel: I’m glad I watched this! I had no idea about which section of my hair I was meant to use shampoo or conditioner. Learned something! Cheers, for that, James!

Big J: I used to be soooo into my haircare when i was younger that I already knew the "basics" you said lol. Not a lot of my friends knew about shampoo being strictly scalp and roots/ condition the rest... or at the fact that your hair had to be at least wrigned out before you apply conditioner on. What I used to do was double shampoo and condition once... i don't wash my hair everyday. It does get a bit oily, but mainly I get a lot of dandruff! I have recently switched back to using head and shoulders and it's amazing lmao. my dandruff was literally gone after the first use hahaha. anyway, my point is DO MORE HAIRCARE :) It'd be cool if maybe like once a month you post something haircare related. i would like to learn new tricks and tips for my hair, since I don't put heat on it.<33

Ezgi O.: Oh, "sometimes hair" moment! ❤️ PS: Your tip about colouring my bleached, faded hair colour back with a permanent hair dye worked wonders. Now I'm so happy with my dark violet hair :)

Izzy Foxy: Love how you link haircare with skincare in the context! Keep doing you mate!

Suzanne: the day is finally here, who would've thought really enjoyed this video. I recently started looking into sulfate free shampoos and would love to hear your opinion on it. Maybe you could review some popular hair care brands in terms of ingredients.

LoppanPop: Loving these "and sometimes hair" tips! I would love to see more videos of hair care, especially how to condition dyed dry hair.

Raelle: Yay, finally a hair vid. It's really hard to find much info about hair my hair's been getting thinner and kinda falling out more these few weeks and I'm at a lost because I don't understand the ingredients. We know so much of what to do for our face but not what to search for when it come to hair. If you do do another hair video, I'd love to hear more about ingredients that are good for which types of scalp conditions, aging scalp, hair fall etc. Also my hairdresser mentions things like rotating shampoos are really important, so maybe a hair regiment? Like what types of shampoos to keep in rotation, are tonics needed, hair mask, when and how often to deep cleanse. How to choose an affordable shampoo that is good too I'm asking a lot and I thank you in advance ❤️ I have no idea where to start. All I found out was ginseng and biotin.

SWOON GIRL: Yippee. Excited for this one because this is the year my hair is going to be the best it's ever been. (I dis just bleach my ends, so it is very dry, but now I am buying that treatment you mentioned because I'm always in the market for hair treatments.)

Yeehaw: I completely agree! Head and Shoulders is great for me in the winter, especially living in Canada where the air gets SUPER dry, leaving my skin and hair dry too. I find that I really only need to use it in the really dry months, usually January and maybe February

Sandy Dee: James, Thank You. I NEEDED THIS! I literally was getting my “hair care” completely wrong.

Frances Onyinah: the 'dont apply conditioner to wet hair' depends on your hair texture as well as your hair porosity. if you have high porosity hair it isn't really an issue. likewise if you have super curly or kinky/coily hair applying conditioner to wet hair adds for easy application. though typically once applied we put a plastic cap over it for 15 mins to get that penetration anyway! as you said, hair is personal

Sittingatstalemate: Female with long hair and still watching for the sheer love of James

Emer Henry: I'm 49 and only learned how to wash my hair properly in the last month!!! So it's not that obvious. Well done. Too much product build up can cause your hair to fall out too. It blocks the pores and makes it hard for new growth to come through. I wash perhaps twice a week now and I use a scalp scrub once a week to keep the scalp clear. I use one with mint in it so it invigorates the scalp also.

Derex000: Perfect video, just about to have a shower after my morning workout. I'd love to see more videos about hair. Trying to take better care of mine and there's a lot of contradicting information online. I hope you're doing well! ☺

Mayumi Quinones: Loved this video. Keep the hair content coming. While I love love love your skincare videos, I think there's a lack of hair content out there.

Sara Criswell: Came to boost the view count, but stayed for the tips. You literally can’t go wrong with James.

devesh Ramesh: You should definitely go through your hair care routine and share it with us!!

Denis Breimann: "aNd SoMeTiMeS hAir" *FINALLY!*

lama s: Head and shoulders is one of the best dandruff shampoos out there lol. i’ve tried sooo many dandruff shampoos and I always end up going back to it. it treats the dandruff and its not overly drying to my hair! stop sleeping on it y’all

NarcoASA: I’m almost 43 years old and no one has ever told me about conditioner not being applied to wet hair. The more you know...this was awesome

Kallie Day: Love all your videos- but I would love to see more hair videos..... specifically, hair thinning for women (not due to heat, coloring, scalp conditions, or anything invasive). I’m 33 and I can see my scalp everywhere. Comes out by the root. WTH? Thank you for great content!

Adrienne Louise Salvo: Keep up the good work James! I find this video really helpful :) Thank you so much for the tips :)

Froufrou Deluxe: For people in Central Europe: Head & Shoulders stopped including zinc pyrithione in their shampoos!

Shiny Das: Please keep doing "and sometimes haircare" videos. Really enjoyed this one.

Melline Buijs: I love this 'and sometimes hair' video! Please make some more

Sweetsassy99: Apply shampoo to the root, and apply conditioner to the ends of the hair. OMG! I was applying shampoo and conditioner all over my hair. Thank you so much, James!

Sierra M: You’re the first person I’ve ever heard say not to put conditioner on soaking wet hair, most people seem to be under the impression it can only penetrate your hair when it IS that wet. But it makes sense, I’ll definitely have to try applying my conditioner to dryer hair next time! Also, I just noticed we have the same dreamcatcher!!

Miniq: 1. Co-wash is washing your hair with the specific type of conditioners like these without the silicone. So basically you can do that, you just have to find the right type. If the conditioner have really high oils amount in INCI it can indeed make your hair flatter. Not rinsing properly may be also the cause. Co-wash is widely practiced by people with curly hair. Co-wash is recommended to try if you have very sensitive skin :) 2. Scalp massage helps hair growth :) you can do that daily on dry scalp. 3. I think it might be less effective when hair is really soaking wet cause people usually don’t leave the conditioner for long enough. If you have straight hair, great technique for applying con. Is to brush it in while washing your hair. 4. (Pls Don’t use shampoos with the silicone in it unless you have specific issues with your scalp ) 5. Head&Shoulders is not the best option for flaky, irritated or sensitive scalp! It contains harsh detergents like SLS. If we avoid this for our face, why use it on our scalp? The better option to minimize the scalp issues is to switch to milder detergents. Ps. We have a big haircare community in my country. The girls on fb groups are really hooked on their hair! The results of proper knowledge is seen in the effects. @smartredhair (IG) is an amazing vlogger. Her hair speak for itself :)

Florecita: Love the print of that high neck top I need so badly a recommendation of gentle, color safe, effective cleansing capabilities of shampoo, and also a conditioner that doesn’t leave residue but really leaves her very soft. Omg so hard to find. And the worst is, even if I find good ones, I have to switch them after while cause my scalp and hair gets “used to it” and it stops working. Ugh. So hard.

Vanessa Jaramillo: We need more of this content. Loving it!!! <3

Caterina Nai: i’m glad head and shoulders works for you! i used it for a month and it always left my hair incredibly greasy no matter how hard i tried to perfectly wash it off :(

Brittany Gayle: More please! I have very thin hair that is wavy/curly. I've been looking for products to help the wave be curl but not add so much weight. I also struggle to grow my hair slightly in part of poor genetics but i also would love product suggestions- like shampoo or conditioners.

Javie Nartea: I know you always say "this is my personal opinion" "this is personal and what works on me" on your videos but there's just a big energy that screams "YOU SHOULD BE DOING THIS" and I bloody love it!

Tale Voss: Hi James! Thanks a lot for the nice video. One question: I am a little confused about the Build-Up topic: I apply styling products containig oils and silcones from the mid-lentgh to tips but only shampoo the scalp and roots as supposed to. I have very long hair, so there is a lot of time for Build-Up to happen in the lengths. Do you have any advice on this? Thanks :)

Carol Habicht: This was really interesting! Do you have any recommendations for fragrance-free hair care products? I'm allergic to fragrance and it's been by far the hardest to find hair products that are formulated without fragrance :(

Bouji NuNu: James, everything about you is fabulous! Your beautiful face and hair and your wonderful tips. Thank yooooou! xx

Stardust: What a fun video! Loved hearing all the info and learnt new tricks! Also I LOVE your top!!! Need one for myself

Cola Queen: OMG ty lol I've used H&S for years and I never had dandruff. I have fine hair with an oily scalp. I've tried 10000s of shampoos and always go back to H&S. Makes my hair soft, bouncy and helps with volume. Also smells great I love you and your brother's content.

Ascendencii: Ugh, this was released at the perfect time, THA K YOU!! I was struggling finding a way to wash my hair so she can just be her best self♡

Patricia Zernone-Wood: Omg that shirt!! my son would love this. Anyway... I wash my hair one time a week, condition each time, and I deep condition with an overnight vitamin& oil treatment. I do not use hair products often at all but I do dye it often and straighten it almost daily. Because of the constant changing of color it's now very dry and not as healthy as I'd like. I'd like to see you do more hair care videos especially for already damaged hair. Even a video of you debunking of some haircare hacks since you knock the skincare hacks right down for all of us!

Alex Jimenez: Keep them coming. It was great advice specially since I do suffer from a flaky scalp and most of my wardrobe is black or dark colors due to my job requirements

Shaun Leonard: Enjoyed the video! Bring more similar content, please.

Laura Guttendorfer: I think you’re hair looks great, you can tell you take really good care of it, it’s healthy.

L D: Head and shoulders is good yes finally someone who agrees. I use it like twice a month to keep away dandruff

Tamara M: I was going to watch as a support to the ”sometimes hair” but stayed because it was really good information an I needed the motivation to do something about my own hair ❤️

Cerys Williams: I love this video, can't wait to hear more of your hair tips

Mimi: Hmm, as my hair is getting longer, i just find it hard to determine when my hair is “towel dry”.. because its true, i notice the dryer my hair was, the better a conditioner or mask works, but it’s so much work. Also, i always told hairdressers to dry my hair as much as possible before applying a toner or whatsoever coz my hair would literally not hold anything if it isn’t almost completely dry. They always said that wasn’t possible, but is it?

Taylor R.S: My oldest son and I both have super sensitive scalps so a dandruff shampoo is the only thing we can use. I am totally taking these tips.

acesvc: Hey James! Good timing on the video....in California, all the salons and barbers have been shut down for more than 2 months, so forced to rely on my own skills Thank god for hats! I’ll have to revisit your archive for some refresher courses on styling

Farah Iqbal: Yasss!! More of these please!! I had no freaking idea about the conditioner on damp hair thing. MOAR!!!

Eszter Szakadáti: Super useful! I would love to watch another hair related video from you!

Brie Sullivan: “Do not apply conditioner to wet hair.” What.

yrrrk: I loved this! You could talk more about good ingredients for hair products!

Maggie Sugar: Finally sometimes hair, me and my partner were looking forward to this. Until next year again!! And also that top is amazing!!

Faith Mckie: The Inkey list has so many hair and scalp treatments coming out you would try and test some of them. Would love to hear your opinion as always! ❤️❤️

Ruby Blue: The fact that the way I’ve been using shampoo & conditioner since I was a greasy-haired teen is actually the “right” way??? Mind blowing

Leigh Simpson: Hooray! Sometimes hair.....just as I was about to wash mine! Ready for tips!

Micah Schmidt: Awesome! I'm here for the "sometimes hair!" I've been looking for a good hair mask and I keep hating what I buy.

VVitcherry: I adore your turtleneck. ♥♥ What is it with you, Welsh brothers, and criticizing your DIY haircuts? It looks pretty okay.

Mirella Parra: This is my first time watching you and I’m in awe♥️♥️♥️! Truly thankful for this recommended video...JAMES you are so informative in a genuine way! SUBSCRIBED for sure ✨

Fernanda Zloccowick: loved this! if you could maybe do a "basics" series for hair, with like a rundown for which actives are good for which problems etc (i have oily itchy scalp and pretty much 99% of the shampoos i use itch so bad i get little bruises all over my scalp and i'm so done but i have no idea what should i look for so that it stops)

mimisdailydose: I have exactly what you described! Dry and flaky scalp with product build up. Have tried so much (even a medical grade shampoo by redken) and it made it worse. I’m going to buy the head and shoulders shampoo tomorrow! Loved this:))

Fiona Lorimer: Yay!! More “sometimes hair” videos please. Last couple of years I was using L’Oréal Pro Fibre. Best shampoo and conditioner ever for my hair, then they discontinue. Can you advise something similar, I don’t know where to start. Was using the blue coloured bottle. TIA

Rayne Mcalees: I loved this! More hair content ❤️
