Hi, I'm Michele Dietrich connecting with you from pretty snow studio here in New York City today. Our beauty subject is the best grease for hair braiding, so one product that I find works well on every hair type that I breed is John Allen's blue. It'S a lightweight water-based pomade that gives a sleek appearance without weighing down hair, so whether you have thick somewhat curly, hair or very fine, very straight hair, it works perfectly on everyone, and then you just vary the amounts that you use so on our model, Tony for Her braids I'll use about what's a full finger full and always start with less than more. You can always add. You can't always take away warm it together in your hands to emulsify to warm it up, so that it's its thinnest possible consistency before you apply it to the hair, and then you want to work with the hair shaft so going down, you don't want to go Side to side you want to go vertically because that's where you're going to get the most shining reflection and with a braid you don't necessarily want separation, but you want a lot of shine and no fuzziness, so no stray hair. So you need a product that has a little bit of hold a little bit of shine and and moisture, but not too much, and you don't want to necessarily use a gel because then it can start breaking apart after you've braided, particularly if you have layers in Your hair, it's a tiny, tiny bit more because Tony has very thick hair. We want those ends to be really pretty with our braids, but you'll figure out what I'm not is right for you, and this can work on the most delicate braids up to you know your most simple and standard berry, which is what I'm about to do right Now mmm turn this. You can see what a nice pretty finish, so it really helps hold all the strands together, but isn't too strong? It'S perfect for braids, it's my favorite product ever four braids and it is a men's product, but I use it as unisex give her a little rubber band and what a pretty shiny nice braid in seconds. My name is Michele Dietrich and I hope you've enjoyed my tips on the best hair grease for braids
