Hello! Happy Lunar New Years to All!

I’ve gotten many questions regarding my hair. I’ve already done a more in depth video on what I ask my hair dresser for and the products I use such as shampoo, conditioner, etc. But lately I’ve been trying to grow out my layers and everything is just going down hill… my hair is getting so flat. I’ve been curling my hair more often to give it texture and volume as you’ve noticed in my latest videos. I usually do not use anything in my hair because I was always so lazy to try different products but I’ve found some favorites that has helped my hair tremendously so I wanted to share it with you all.

Hi everyone. It'S me Janet from I'm, just like you and today, I'd like to share with you my ultimate favorite hair styling products. So I've had so many requests on what I use in my hair to style it to get the curls that I usually been wearing. Lately, my hair is a lot longer now and a lot of my trying to grow out my layers. So it's really hard for me to kind of have that same volume that I always have just because everything is kind of weighing down a little bit. But I have found some great products that have been helping. My hair look, bigger and just better. So I wanted to share with you guys exactly what I use in my hair. But definitely if you want to see a more in-depth tutorial of exactly what I do with my hair, I am happy to do that. So just let me know in the comments below so the first product is something that I used while my hair is still wet. So I got out of the shower. I towel dry it a little bit and then I apply this from my neck down, and this is the Moroccan oil treatment in light, it's alcohol free and it's just a very light oil. This is supposed to be for those who have a light, color hair, but I have tried the other one and it's just so heavy. I felt like this was a lot lighter. So that's why I use it, even though I have dark hair, but it works pretty. Well for me, so what it is, it's just an oil that helps just kind of tighten all the hair follicles, that kind of spread out once you wash it with hot water and if you brush it or anything, it kind of breaks the hair a little bit. But this helps kind of get all the split ends to line up and just smooths it out a little bit. It'S not gon na get rid of split ends because the only way you're gon na do that is to cut your hair, but it helps the hair. Look more healthy and what I really like about this product is that it actually helps my hair dry a little faster as well. I'Ve noticed so I applied that weight a little bit and then I blow-dry my hair. Once I blow-dry my hair, I don't use any products I kind of like flip my hair upside down and blow try it, but what product I've been loving is using this. This is the Paul Mitchell, hot off the press. I'Ve mentioned this in my I've mentioned this. In my 2015 favourite products video, I absolutely love this product, you guys it is a heat protectant that is in an aerosol form. It'S not one of those sprays that just makes your hair really wet, which, by the way, I don't know how that actually works. If your hair is wet and then you curl it or you straighten it, and it does that sizzle sound like how is that protecting your hair? I don't know, but this one. It doesn't do that it's a very light airy formula and it comes out of an aerosol, so the spray and the mist is very even and what I love the most about this product. Is you know, I don't know if it's protecting my hair from the heat that I'm using, but what I do notice is that it holds my style. So at the same time, of protecting your hair, it's holding your style and the way that it holds. It'S not like tight and crunchy it's very light, but you can tell that it's holding your style. The reason why I see it is whenever I blow dry - and I use this at the tips of my hair and when I use the brush to kind of go like that, it literally makes my hair go in, so it's holding that shape. So I love love. Love this product, it's absolutely something I cannot live without so moving on afterwards. I blow dry, my hair, I am practically done, but I like to hold the shape. So I like it to not like you know after I sleep or something I don't want the hair to kind of go all sorts of ways. So what I use is a dry hairspray, not a dry shampoo but almost in the same sense. But this is actually a hairspray and the reason why I say dry is that it doesn't have any water that will weigh down the hair. As you already know, I love volume. So I want that big hair. So, in order to kind of like help hold the hair in place and prevent it from going all sorts of ways, I use this and this actually helps add shine into the hair. This is the Moroccan oil luminous hairspray. In the finish strong, I love this. It helps hold the style without feeling like it does anything, because there isn't any water or alcohol substance. That'S like holding down the hair. It is such a great product, it smells amazing and it really adds a little bit more shine to the hair as well. The next item is my ultimate hair product like use it when my hair is clean, I use it when my hair is dirty and it is the bumble and bumble thickening dry, spun, hair. This adds air into the hair and it just makes the hair look good. Like you know, after you shower, your hair is so clean, it kind of just weighs down, but this it gives it a little bit of oats to it and it smells amazing. It doesn't look like anything in the hair and it doesn't feel gross, but it gives it enough texture so that it holds the hair like. If I was to do this with clean hair - and I don't have anything in it - it would just come back down, but with this it kind of tangles within each other because of the air, and it just kind of like holds it. So I love this product and I've mentioned it millions of times, but also a really great texturizing spray, but cost us a little bit more is the or Bay one. Now I've heard everyone talk about this and I agree it is a great product. It adds texture, it adds own. It also adds a little bit of powder to the hair, so it doesn't make the hair look oily and it doesn't cause it to look kind of flat. It'S smells amazing and that's a really great product as well, but if I had to pick between the two I would say I could live without this one, but this one I like it a little bit more. I liked a little bit more of a drier finish. Just because I think the dry finish helps a lot with the hair. Moving on to dry shampoo, I wash my hair probably three times a week out of seven days on washing times, and that's just because I can do that. My hair is an oily. My hair isn't really dirty it's kind of on the drier side but, of course smell. Okay, it's very important. I don't like the scalp smell and - and I don't like it when you go eat somewhere and you smell, like you, know the food in order to let my hair last a little bit longer in between washes. I use this. This is the batiste dry shampoo. I'Ve talked about it millions of times before, but it is ultimately the best dry shampoo out there, because the formulation isn't white as long as you really shake it up and spray a far amount of distance, it really does work. It adds enough powder into the hair, too kind of lifts the hair without causing it to feel like there's product in it. It actually makes my hair feel fresh like a honestly. My hair would be super oily or something, and then I could use this and it would make my hair feel like I just showered like that dry, clean feeling. Also the best part about this product is the spray nozzle. It sprays out the most amount of pressure. I have ever seen and that really helps dispense the right amount of product. It'S kind of like comes out super super strong, so it disperses the product in a very wise surface area. Alright, so the next product is hair spray and my ultimate favorite hair spray that I always go towards. Is this one from the drugstore? This is the Tresemme tres two spray and it's like the green label, one. The reason why I like this one is because it really holds on to my baby hairs like after I shower or after I have slept. My baby hair is like boom like this. It'S just like all over the place, and this I just need to mist. It really gently at the top of my head. Let the products kind of just like fall down into my hair, and then I just have to use my hand to smooth it a little and it doesn't weigh down the hair, but it catches all of the baby hairs that just kind of like looks really annoying. Now that we've already talked about the styling products that I use next would be styling tools, so I wanted to share with you the top two tools that I use in my hair. That creates this usual. Look that you see that a lot of you asks how do you get that hair? So, first of all, I use this. This is a crimper and this is from Conair. It'S just very simple. It'S like travel-size super small and what I do is I lift the hair in layers and I usually do about two layers. I really don't have that much hair. To be honest, I just have thick hair, so there isn't enough hair for me to hide all of it. So that's why I only do it in two rows. If you have a lot more hair, you can get a little away with more layers. It'Ll actually give you bigger hair, so I would split my hair into two sections right here and then I would crimp it at the roots and I would only use one line of the crimp. I wouldn't actually go down any further, just because I don't want my hair to look like there's big volume just around here. I want it to kind of lift out a certain area and just flow down to make it look more natural. Not only does this add crimps into the hair, that makes it more volume, but I noticed that it helps my hair from getting oily. So I really love this product. I think it works really well and it's super cheap. I got this from Amazon. It was like eleven dollars and I use it all the time when I need to curl my hair. When I need to have my hair down and straight, I still use it so that it gives me body and honestly, if you use that and use a little bit of dry shampoo, it adds more texture in the hair. It will make the hair more voluminous. Alright. So how do I get these curls? I use this curler by Hot Tools and this is in the size, 1 inch in a quarter, so I've used 1 inch before I've used 1 inch and a half before, but once in a quarter I find to be the perfect size for my hair. The longer your hair, the larger the barrel, but the shorter your hair, the smaller the barrel, but I find this one to be perfect for me. It'S super affordable. I got mine at Sally's, but you can also get it at drugstore.com or anywhere that carries hot tools. Even Ulta, but I really like this one just because it doesn't really snacks up my hair. It gives me the right amount of heat and it just holds my hair, like you want to hear something. This is actually second day here and look at my curls. It'S a lot softer than the first day, but it's still there like the it still stays. So what I've realized throughout the years is that, if I spent a little bit more time on the day that I shower and install my hair curl, my hair, that the next few days that I don't wash my hair, it actually looks more put together and it Looks better, then, if I was just to keep my hair straight, the curls really help give it more body and just looks more like you put effort into it, even though you didn't, because you haven't washed your hair but anyways. These are basically just the products that I use to style my hair. I just hope that me talking about and breaking down like why I use certain products and what it does to my hair helps you and I will link in the infobox all the products as well as where I purchased them from, and, of course, if you want To see that a twirl, just let me know - and I will definitely film it for you - thank you so much for watching and I will see you in my next video bye
