My Favorite Natural Hair Products For Summer 2022

I love doing natural hair videos, my returning queens, thank you. So much for joining me for today's video now i know it's been a while it's been a little bit, not too long, but i wanted to come here because i wanted to share with you guys my favorite natural hair products for this summer. This summer has been very hot. I actually did this wash and go. This is actually day two of a wash and go that i recently did and it's actually holding up a very nicely, which is a huge surprise, because the humidity has been playing with me all summer long. But yes, i wanted to go ahead and just share with you guys my favorite products that i have been using on a consistent basis, because i am still very much determined to go through my stash, so i have about. I think i think it's like 12 or 13 products that i have been really using consistently this summer. So that will be today's video. Let'S go ahead and begin all right, so i'm really excited to share with you guys this first product um. This is from pattern. This is their leave-in conditioner to find and moisturize. Now this was my first time trying this leave-in conditioner. I actually purchased it during the holidays. I think it was also was like having a sale and it came with the ruby, the ruby, woo lipstick from max. That'S the reason for the red lips right here, but let me tell you about this leave-in conditioner. This leave-in is very, very good. It has a great amount of slip. It'S very moisturizing. I'Ve used it to moisturize my hair and i did a few wash and go's with it, and i just really love how it was just it sort of layered, my hair to just really accept the other products that i was applying for my wash and go, and I don't know it was just very, very moisturizing love this lip with it that love the slip that it has, and i don't know i just used it very quickly. So i plan on getting another one, but this leave-in is definitely a must for the summer, especially if you're dealing with super dry hair you're, seeing that your ends are a little bit more frizzy than what they what they should be. I think this leave-in will come in handy, especially for the summer months, so yes been using it loving it and i plan on getting another one um just so i can just use it throughout the rest of the summer, all right so another product that i've been Really enjoying is you guys know how much i love my curl refresher spray, so this is the honeydew. This is the liquid moisture refresher spray from camille rose. I love how this smells. This has such a sweet smell smells just like honey. I love the collection, but this is really hydrating for my hair and i really love just you know, taking it and just focusing the refresher spray, especially like on my ends, because i really feel like during the summer. My ends just seem to suffer the most because i do get my frizz just show up a little bit sooner than what they would during the winter time, and sometimes when i have my hair in a bun, and i really don't feel like taking it down. But i still need to add something to my hair. I feel like this refresher spray always comes to the rescue. It'S just it's very hydrating. It does the job it keeps my hair intact until i need to you know, moisturize it or wash it or whatever. But if my hair needs to like pick me up where it's it's feeling a little bit dry, but not enough for me to go in and actually moisturize, this does a really really good job, so we'll be continuing to use it throughout the summer. But yes, i have been loving it and i believe i have another one. So i'm fully stocked all right. So next product is for mich. This is their cleanse, moisturizing and cleansing sulfate free shampoo. Let me tell you one thing about the summer is that i am very big on moisturizing, my hair, even more so just because i feel like during the summer. That'S when i just i deal with a lot more frizz. My hair is a little bit more dry. So it's really important that on wash day, i am doing everything that i can to really remove. All of that build up, remove all of that product that i added throughout the week. So my scalp is clean. So if i'm doing another wash and go or twist out whatever the case may be, you know i am starting on clean, fresh hair, and i just really love this shampoo because it really does the job it does a really great job at not only lifting and Removing all of that build up, but also keeping my hair moisturized throughout the process with shampoo, i tend to be a little bit picky with shampoo, because i don't like shampoos that feel too stripping. You know i do wash my hair in twists just to better manage my hair, because at this point in my journey it can be a lot. It can be a little bit overwhelming and i just feel like this shampoo, it's so moisturizing. It has a good slip and when i do rinse it out, my hair doesn't feel stripped at all and, more importantly, it really does the job at really cleaning my scalp. So i have been using this shampoo for a while, but i just i don't know i just i tend to love it during this time of year, especially with my hair being so dry, and i need to remove that buildup. It does the job and it doesn't strip my hair, so yeah. It'S it's definitely a must. If you haven't tried me shampoo, i'm telling you it is so so good. Definitely give it a try when you can now another leave-in. That has has my heart forever. It'S the soutanicles frizz, with curl defining leave-in, i mean i will have to say that this leave-in is is number one, because when i tell you the moisture and the slip on this leave-in, it's just so unreal, just how good it is. I love it. This smells just like candy. I actually bought two liters of this. I think it was during the winter time or the beginning of the year. I ended up buying two. I already finished one, and this one is almost done, but let me tell you this leave-in has been my lifesaver this summer, just because i've been using it for my wash and gos been using it to um moisturize my hair throughout the week, and i even used It to pre-poo, i actually did it a few times to pre-poo, because i ran out of my pre-poo, and this does the trick like the slip on this is so good, and this is the kind of slip that i need during this time of year. Because, again, my hair is just super dry. It'S looking for that moisture and just see. I just feel like my curls are more thirsty in the summer and this uh leave-in just always does the trick so highly recommend for you to try this um. I know that it comes in the eight ounce, but for me those eight ounces jars they're, just not they're, not doing it for me anymore. So whenever they come back with this in the liter size, i'm hoping like, maybe in the fall or during the holidays, i'm gon na stock up, i'm actually gon na buy like two or three because, as you can see like, i have been really really using it. So i love it so much all right, so this is a new product that i have been trying recently. This is the flora and curl um african citrus bloom super fruit, hair oil - oh my god. This has been so so good to me. I love it and let me just read off some of the ingredients. Okay, so it has grape seed oil. It has sapphio. Excuse me safflower seed oil. It has castor seed oil avocado, fruit oil, it has papaya fruit oil, it has baobab seed oil, jojoba oil, oh watermelon, um, seed oil. It has sweet orange oil, it has so many good oils and it has a nice sweet smell. It'S not super thick. It'S not light either. It'S just like right in between, but this oil is very, very good. I the first time i tried it. I was like wow i was like this is really good and i've been using it to pre-poo. I did a few hot oil treatments with this, which i really loved. I loved using that to you, know seal in my moisture set my wash and go so i really have been using it and actually they sent this so very grateful for that. But this is something i plan on repurchasing for sure, because it's it's been amazing and my hair has been loving it. So you know my approach, is you know if my hair is enjoying it, i'm going to continue to give it what it wants, and this oil was definitely it okay. So this product right here, i certainly can't live without it. It'S something that i use on the regular and it is the african pride moisture miracle aloe and coconut water detangle and condition pre shampoo. You guys know how big i am on pre-pooing. It is really the foundation of my wash day. If i do not pre-poo, nothing is going to go right on wash day because i wish i could just jump in the shower and just start washing and just you know, lather on shampoo and move on to conditioning and deep conditioning and so on. But i really cannot do that. I have tried many times, but i really can't i really need to add moisture into my hair detangle, my detangle, my hair gently, remove the shed hair and taking that approach leads my wash days to go better. So when it comes to detangling, especially after seven eight nine days of not washing my hair, i really need something that has lip that has moisture. That'S really going to help me manage my hair without me, um dealing with possible breakage and tangles and stuff like that, and this is so good, especially it's. It'S been a really hot summer. Let me tell you: my hair has been wild, it's been wild. It'S been crazy, you know, usually i can go ahead and extend wash day to like day nine, sometimes day, ten and i'm noticing during these summer months. You know after seven eight day max. I really need to wash - and this just makes my wash day a lot easier. So if you're not pre-pooing, if you're dealing with breakage, if you're dealing with more tangles, especially during the summer time, sis right here, this is going to help you on wash day. So highly recommend we'll continue to use it. Of course i mean it's very good, so another product that i have been loving a lot is the tgin rose water, curl, defining styling gel. This is the gel that i have been using to do my wash and go's. This summer, i am not a hairstyle person. I just get really lazy when it comes to do hairstyles, because i would be honest with you after wash day, i am just tired, so doing wash and go's it's just so much easier for me and i'm able to just sort of set my hair and if I want to put it in a style later on in the week. I can go ahead and do that, but i'm telling you the hold on this gel is absolutely incredible. It is the perfect hole it is the hold. It is the hold that i need during the summertime, because my hair tends to frizz up very very easily, but with this gel using the right amount, it'll make my wash and go last a good seven days. And if i want to extend it for a day or two, i can get away with doing it, but i'm telling you this gel is is definitely a favorite of mine and that's why i actually purchased three bottles of this gel during black friday of last year, Because i knew that i was going to heavily rely on it during the summer, and i have been. This has been the gel that i have been using and it does a really great job, so definitely recommend for you to try this gel, especially if you want a good stronghold for your wash and go whatever style. You are deciding to go with yeah. It mixes. Well with my other leave-ins - and it doesn't flake on me - and i also love using this gel just to like lay my hair on my edges and stuff. So it's it's, it's a really great gel. So it's been helping me this summer, so i'll continue to use it for sure all right. So my next product is a deep conditioner and this deep conditioner i mean it's always going to have my heart. It is from zotanicals. Is there afrotastic, curl elastic? Of course i had to get in the liter size, you know when it comes to sultanacles deep conditioners, those eight ounces, they it's just a waste of time. For me at this point in my journey because an eight ounce jar it just really lasts me like one use, i i tried to be cheap with it. I tried to make it, but even if i have any deep, conditioner leftover of an eight ounce, i'm not gon na have enough to cover my entire hair for the next round of wash day. So it was just better for me to get the leader size of this and let me tell you, i have been enjoying this deep conditioner. I mean i love it all year round, but i don't know something about the summer. It just really just melts. In my hair, like it really melts in my hair, you can see that it has penetrated my hair. You can see how happy my curls are, how moisturized they are, and usually when it comes to my deep conditioning after applying my deep conditioner, i love to add an oil just because i don't know my hair just seems to really like it, but also i like To sit under the dryer for about 30 minutes, or so i do have low porosity hair. So it's really important for me to take that approach, because the deep conditioner just seems to penetrate better in my strands after rinsing out the deep conditioner i can still. I can see the moisture i can also feel it and when i move on to do my wash and gos or you know whatever style, but it's usually a wash and go it's just so much easier for me to do my hair, because my hair is just A lot more manageable, it's a lot softer and you can see the moisture and i just every time that i use this deep conditioner. I know that my hair is just super happy. It'S it's amazing. It has. Great ingredients has a great amount of slip, but overall that moisture, just it's really in this bottle, love it so much and yeah, it's usually the deep conditioner as well. It'S one of the deep conditioners that i just tend to gravitate towards the summer. So if you have not tried this afrotastic curl elastic by sultanacles, i'm telling you you are missing out. This is what your hair needs during the summer. It needs that moisture it just. You can't go wrong with this, so give it a try. If you haven't, you will not regret it. Another deep conditioner that i have been loving is mich indulge moisturizing, deep conditioner. Let me tell you this baby right here. Ah, you cannot go wrong with this deep conditioner. This has everything it has the moisture it has to slip. It'S so creamy your hair is just going to love it. I know that my hair loves it, so i continue to purchase it, but during the summer my hair needs moisture more than anything and that's why, when it comes to deep conditioning i mean, i don't think that you should skip deep conditioning. I can understand that. Sometimes you don't have the time for it. I mean i always try to make the time for it like no excuses, but i'm telling you this is what your hair needs during the summer. It needs that moisture and i feel like this deep conditioner always delivered it's. It'S a favorite of mine i'll always continue to use it, especially throughout the year, but when it comes to summer time, i don't know on wash days when i think about deep conditioner. This is definitely one of the ones that i think about, because it really does that job of keeping my hair moisturized, giving my hair that moisture and, more importantly, helping me keep that moisture into the next wash day. I don't know it just my hair loves it. My hair always just feels so soft every time i rinse it like i'm, just an odd like how my hair feels afterwards - and i just i don't know this - this is this - is the deep conditioner that you need to try this summer. So i personally got it in the 16 ounce just because i use a lot more deep, conditioner an 8 ounce jar doesn't really last me, so i got it in the bigger size, but it's definitely worth it for you to get it in the bigger size because It is so good. You can't go wrong with this deep conditioner, so another product that i have been loving has been. The tgin rose, water, curl, defining mousse, i'm not a moose girl, or i thought i wasn't a moose girl, but it turns out that i am. I love this mousse. It is so so good, so i just started using mousse, especially throughout the week. Sometimes i would turn my wash and gos into a twist out, especially if my hair was just getting too dry and i knew that i wasn't gon na wear. My hair out and i'm like wash day is going to be in a couple of days, but i don't know i've just been adding this to my twist, just to give me a little bit of definition a little bit of hold and it has been doing such An amazing job - i love this mousse just because it feels very, very moisturizing. It has a great amount of slip, but i love the shine that it gives my curls, but also just that moisture and that hold it's just. It has like a really nice balance and i don't know i have just been really loving it, so i've just been using this just to like when it's time for me to like to retwist my hair, or maybe i have some curls that i just really want To refresh - but i really don't want to add gel just to weigh it down, i want something a little bit light and this has been doing the job so love it um yeah, it's. It says that it's a medium hold, so it's not you're, not gon na get like a super strong hole, but i feel like the medium hold is perfect, especially when i'm like refreshing, curls or maybe you know i have like my low. I do like a little ponytail and i have some frizz. I can just take a little bit of mousse to just tame whatever curls are out of place and it does a really great job. So i've been loving this and yeah. It'S been good, so i'm continue to use it throughout the summer. So here's another product that i've been using it's from my l. This is their babasu and mint deep conditioner. This is actually my protein treatment that i have been using throughout the summer. I like to do a protein treatment once a month. That seems to be the balance that my hair really likes, so i usually do my protein treatments at the beginning of the month. If i can remember at the beginning middle - but this i have been using this for quite a few years throughout my entire journey - and i love how it strengthens my hair, i love that it gives that balance of moisture but also um strengthens my hair, and i Don'T know it's just it's been really really good, especially because the summer has just been so hot. So when my ends get super frizzy or they just my curls look dehydrated. You know that just really lets me know, especially after doing a wash day. If my hair is still looking too dehydrated a few days after wash day, that just kind of lets me know like hey it's time for a protein treatment, it's try it's time for you to add some strength into your strands and this um baba sue and mint. Deep conditioner does the trick. So if you haven't tried this one highly recommend it. It'S very, very good. Another refresher spray that i have been using and loving is from uncle funky's daughter. This is their thirsty, curls a leave-in curl revitalizer. This i have been using for quite a few years, and i do have quite a few so again, i love it because hair is feeling dry. I just go ahead spray it and then focus that on my ends just to keep my hair hydrated and it really does the job like my hair stays hydrated throughout the day, i feel, like my style, stays in place. I love how this smells and it's just a quick refresher spray, especially if you don't need to go in and moisturize your hair, but your hair does need a little bit of hydration. This is so so good truly recommend this. It also comes in the travel size too, so i do have a couple of those and i love having that in my purse. So if i'm out and about - and i feel like my ends - i'd be like. Oh, let me fix you up right there. So, oh, i just love how this smell, but yes, this refresher spray is so great. I mean it's one of my favorites, so i've been enjoying using this throughout the summer, all right and for my last product this is from my l. This is their mangano oil. Thermal and heat protectant spray. I actually purchased a couple of these during their um hair anniversary on sale. It was everything was seven dollars and i love me a good sale, so i actually went ahead and i got a couple of these because when i do my wash and go's i tend to sit under the dryer. I do not air dry anymore. Those days are behind me. My hair is too long, it'll take days for it to dry so, and i've also have learned throughout the years that doing wash and go and sitting under the dryer is the right approach for me. Just because you know i'm able to set the products and my hair is not frizzy. My ends are not frizzed and you know there's a lot of definition and you know it really locks in the moisture when i sit under the dryer so because i usually sit under the dryer, i say anywhere between 45 minutes to an hour. I definitely want to use some sort of protectant spray and i have watched a few videos of girls who do straighten their hair or you know they're stretching out their hair for a protective style. They really enjoyed this, so i was like. Let me go ahead and get it and i've been doing my wash and go this summer and using it, and i have been really loving it. I love how my hair just kind of comes out, and i love that i am protecting my curls so yeah. This has been a really great spray. I mean i'll continue to use it throughout the year, but even even like a few weeks ago, i went to the beach and it was so hot and i was actually under the sun doing stuff. So i was like you know what let me go ahead and just spray this in my hair, since i'm gon na be out and about and uh yeah, it was really great. So i i do recommend this just because i found it to be really really good, and you know it's a heat protectant spray, so you can't go wrong with it. So there you have it guys. Those are the products that i have been using this summer. My hair has been loving, it's been thriving, it's been growing, so i really hope that you enjoyed this video.
