Where is your headband from?

-H&M

What is your hair texture?

-I think its a 3B 3C texture

What products do you use?

-Shea Moisture Curl Enhancing Smoothie, Eco Styler Gel, Water, Microwaved Coconut Oil, Olive Oil edge control

All right yeah, so usually when I wake up in the morning, my hair is dry. It I don't see what scarf on. I know it's big. No no, but I mean I don't care it's going to be matted and dry anyway, um, so it's usually dry and it needs a lot more moisture. So I just take my whole head. I need about it because that's very bottle: [ __ ], don't work over here from plant, my hair every single day. I'Ve read a couple of blogs and it's okay to do it's not okay. To do I personally don't care because it just works. For me. I feel like I need to get my hair away every day, because I can't style it when it's dry. So then I take my shea moisture coconut in the biscuits, curl enhancing smoothie, and I apply a very generous amount on that on my head. On top of the product that I applied last night and the day was in the days before that it could be like seven days. My hair behaves better when it's not washed, so I have a lot of product in my hair and that's what works best on my hair. So then I take this homemade dipping brush. I actually got it from 100 yen store, which is dollar store here in Japan, and it acts just like the Denman brush. It'S not. A different brush is only like 75 cents, um and yeah, I'm just kind of like brushed through it. So then I take some coconut oil and I just put it in this mug that I got for my kitchen and um. I just melted on my hand. Then I try to distribute that as much as possible in my hair. So after that I'll take my eco styler gel - and I put a lot of this - I like Japan, girls, I don't I the more defined my curls are the better days, I'm still like time look um. So after I do that I go through and I brush it a little bit more and it's really always a technique. It'S kind of like uh, it's really in the wrist honestly um, so I kind of curl it with the brush. I do that little shuffling thing. A lot um because it helps group, my curls together, put a little bit more gel in there here and there see how it's with the bricks luggage with the wrist motion you kind of like curl it, and I think that helps come back for it. A little bit more jail, shake it, and now I do my part. I used to rock the end of a rat tail comb and I just part it right up in there and I just combed down this front part. I'Ve got a little swoop, sometimes because I think that's cute, my husband hates it, but I like it and then I take my olive oil edge control. I used to use Carol's daughter's edge control and I loved it, but they dont sell it anymore to BXI to order stuff with textual information, and then I just take a brush, and I just smooth it down. You guys notice this baby baby hair hands whenever you're like leaking out your baby hairs. You got this hand just right here on standby, on to life. You know to be there whenever you needed to be there, so they're not just take this super cute. At the end, that makes me look 12, but I got it from H & M and I put it on. I think it just helps me. Look, I don't know [ __ ]. I don't know what helps me. I like it, but I look 12 when I have it on and then I do my little shuffle sharp looking over here, I'm from like doing video, add a little bit more gel because it's part likes to come up sometimes, and I'm done.

Des Williams-McPherson: "That spray bottle sh*t don't work over here fam!" LOL I caaaaan not with her! I love how she kept it organic and didn't try to act fake prissy. And your hair is gorgeous btw!

J.E Underwood: this is like the most interesting hair routine i have seen. like u don't follow no "rules" and i appreciate that cause i don't either. lol

Kiyoncé Kartier: i dont wear a scarf or bonnet either because either way i wake up looking like fredrick douglas

Zae Hudson Ministries: Girl I big chopped a month after you and my hair hasn't grown this long yettt but your curls are beautiful

LaMar McNeil: The people saying her hair is 4a are going by the texture of her hair, not the curl pattern itself. My hair is 4a, and texture-wise (density, feel, thickness, etc.), it looks almost just like hers, but her curls are much larger and looser which is why hers is more of a 3b/3c. Her curls look like they could easily fit a marker or pencil in them, while mine are more the size of a coffee stirrer or pen spring.. People also need to stop using the "cottony/frizzy" look of it as an indicator, because her hair was clearly fro-ed out, which makes getting definition a little harder.

sierra barbour: I just want to say that your channel is helping me so much! I cut my hair off at the same time as you to about the same length. This may sound bad, but it makes me happy that someone else is consistently going through the same struggles as I am. When my hair started going through the awkward stage where it was too long to just leave it be but too short for any real styles, you were going through it too. I think that was the "My hair is acting like a hoe" video lol. Anyway, it's just kind of helpful if I'm feeling down and like no one will understand my hair struggles .

life with k: we just gone ignore the fact that she has a pet ferret ? like women you are brave , I would go crazy .

Alice Freitas: My my! Your hair is amazing I'm in love with it! I just watched your video talking about your big chop and that's great to see you so happy about your hair. I hope you'll be like you soon! I've transitioning for three months, but I already can see my curls. You're such an inspiration to me <3

Lesette Gray: Love it!! Your curls are beautiful! For me, my hair turns white if I put too much product, but like yours, my hair works better when it hasn't been washed . I did my chop in October and I'm glad I did. Thank you for sharing! You the best girl!!!

Jovan Hughes: I love how raw and uncut you are! And your growth is everythingggg go jae

Katrina Smith: Girl I just cut off all my natural hair to almost a brush wave!!!! LOL I thought I wouldn't like it, but I'm in love with my hair! I'm even more excited for it to grow back. Seeing your hair makes me more excited because I missed being able to style it it different ways.

Pluvio M: Jaelah I’ve been watching you for a while now and you’re honestly who inspired me to do my big chop and put the straightener down. I first knew of you when your pictures started flooding my twitter timeline with your results I am now about to make a Year in April since my chop and it was the best decision ever made. keep shining boo

MyDimples2Deep: OMG! I am so glad I found this video. My hair is at this stage after I big chopped and I have been scared to wear it. You have given me the courage to try it. I will remove my braids this weekend and give this a go.. Its kinda like a wash and go for a twa made simple!!

Chaquanda Jackson: I'm also 3B/3C and I love watching your videos. I did the big chop Dec 2018 and between keeping it in braids and watching your videos I am learning so much. I am a big fan girl.

swtnsxy44: we have the same hair texture and in the same place as far as growth, so your videos keep me inspired when I get tired of my hair. thank you much for you videos! please keep them coming. :)

Phyllis Francis: ive been natural 6 months (7 months n the 26th of december) and ive been following you even since i big chopped. love your progress. you seem so much more confident now :)

J. Nicole Custom: This is so weird I just came across your channel and when I say I've NEVER had came across someone with the same hair texture .. curls and everything girl I'm so happy right now!! I did the big chop 8 months ago and I think I can do some cute styles like yours lol.

Leonica DaLoveLEE1: I love this video, your hair, and your swag. You kept it real all the way through. This is more inspirational for me than you can imagine.

zurimusic: Our hair is the saaaaame, thank you so much for this. I transitioned for a year and recently cut off my permed ends on April 8. I wake up and my hair is sooo dry. So I wet mine everyday too because I can't work with it when it's dry. I actually just bought some of the shea moisture coconut and hibiscus cream the other day and I have eco styler so I will try this!

Constance Newton: Jaelah, Your hair is beautiful. I love to feel my curls move as well. To think all of my life growing up, I wanted my hair to have body and there was body all of the time. I just needed to learn how to get there. Great video.

Keisha Taylor: Your hair is gorgeous.... I remember watching your very 1st video when you did your big chop! Your growth is amazing!!!

Alexandria Wilson: I'm 2 months post big chop and I'm so ready for my hair to reach this length it's so hard to get my curls really defined like this tho. And the ferret

Lala J: Girl your hair is so beautiful! I've been natural for about 3 years now & I didn't transition. I deep condition and moisturize and seal & all that good stuff. But my hair is just rough. The back and sides of my hair is 4a and everything else is 4b. On top of that my hair shrinks 99%. My straightened hair is arm pit length but in its natural state it is an ear length fro. I'm ready to texlax.

Cerrone Samuel: You have know idea how much your videos help. I'm a working, single mom with a daughter who has beautiful 4b/c hair, so her hair needs a bit more attention than my 3c/4a texture. So in the morning I do a similar routine to this and get on my with my life! I really appreciate your videos.

SimplyShawnna: I just BC'd at the end of November and then had the barber trim it down some more. I wet my hair down in the shower daily and my hair is growing like crazy. I think water is an essential part of having healthy, moisturized hair. Your hair looks great. Keep doing what works for you.TFS

Melissa Andrews: Thank you! My son has this exact hair and cut! Trying to teach him how to take care of his curls. Thank you!

reshonda parker: Too damn cute! Love the headband and yes you look young but that's never a bad thing lol. I get told all the time that my daughter and I look like sisters and she's 17 and I'm 38! Love your curl definition and nothing wrong with the swoop .... I do then too lol! Awesome videos, keep em coming!

Triyata Bartee: I have FINALLY found someone with the same hair texture as me! From the curls, to it being dry.. Thank you!

SoBossy: Just watched your zero frizz video..your hair growth is sooooo encouraging..this natural hair thing is as challenging as it is beautiful..thanks for sharing

Princess: People are crazy. Product can't create something that isn't there. Product ENHANCES what is already there. I don't see not one itty bitty 4a spring in her hair.

C M: I have been following your videos since your big chop and I absolutely love your hair. This look is so feminine and from what I see of the thumbnails going forward, it just gets prettier and prettier. I have so much respect for you. I so badly want to cut all my hair off and start over. I'm just not 'there' yet.

sarah liz: The most real & honest hair routine I seen ! Thought I was the only one who never uses a satin scarf or bonnet that didn't work for me either ! Lol

Lynette Bacote: Too cute. My baby girl hair is natural and I use the creamy crack so watching your tutorials helps me a lot. Mind you I don't use a ton of product but love your technique and tips. Thanks

Megan Ashley: Exactly! Sometimes I don't see the point in wearing a scarf/bonnet/etc. because my hair ends up matted and dry regardless. My hair also behaves better when it's not washed.

Deilyn Foster: your curls are absolutely gorgeous! I wish my hair would be cooperative like that :( I have 3b/3c hair as well and it's really thin and non curly... I did a mini chop, but I am thinking about doing a whole chop

Mrs. Ooh So Harrisonized: heh Jae. I jus didn't my second big chop due to hear damage. so grateful you still got your TWA videos up.They helped me through my first BC and I'm sure it will help me now. keep up the vids love.

shiritalangford5668: I've been following you and your hair has grown tremendously!!!!! Wow!!!! You go girl!!!!!!

Monica Clements: Girl thank you ... I know you don't follow the rules but u taught me so much I was ready to give up my natural journey until I started following you ... and I always love you makeup

Roxy_dollaz: both you and your hair is beautiful jaelah...love it im transitioning and really wanna big chop really wanna see my hair texture

Life with Ashley R.: I am obsessed with this video. This video has really helped me figure out what techniques work best for my hair to get my desired look. Thanks so much!

Jenita Hurst: Hi Jaelah! Watched your hair videos cracked up! I love them all so glad I have someone I can relate too! Blessings! xoxo msjay

Londyn Mi'Cole: yaaaas FINALLY someone with the EXACT same curl pattern as me. OMGoodness I was getting discouraged with how to style my hair. thank you for sharing

Maura H: finally someone I can follow with my exact hair pattern

Just being Kay: love your hair & you're so beautiful. I'm 3 months post big chop and I'm just now learning my hair.

MoMo Willy: I'm so excited to see someone who has the same hair as me! Finally! And everything you said about it is on point! Thanks *New sub*

Jé-naine Meyer: This is the most "normal" routine i have seen. This is my routine minus all those products and brushing. You are the first natural that i have come across who wets their hair every day. I do the same because if I don't, I end up with a lot of frizz and my hair looks dry. I am fortunate that wetting my hair every day does not damage it... How long does it take to do this routine? I like wet and goes because I am lazy and have just enough time to get ready for work

Solar Powered: On top of having beautiful hair.... you have BEAUTIFUL skin. S/o to you girl!

Bianca H.: I came across your video last night because I was debating whether or not to transition or to just chop my hair off and start over. I thought about cutting it myself or if I should consult my hair dresser. In any case I feel like she's going to talk me out of it, but I'm sick of all the breakage and total and complete dryness that comes with my hair being relaxed. I wanted to say that your story is inspiring and thanks for sharing. It's helping me feel better about wanting to chop it all off lol.

Renesha Hobson: I've finally found someone with the same curl pattern as me! Wwhheeewww...just in time too as I just did my 2nd BC...New subbie here...keep them videos coming! Curl Love

Leslie Galloway: You texture is beautiful. My hair acts right when it's not newly washed also. Dry shampoo is awesome for my weekly routine. I completely wash and condition every 2 weeks though

Charmed Empress Tarot: I'm over here cracking up because I agree this is the best method. Glad to see someone else cracked the CODE. ✨

BklynBabe: lol! let me testify because I wash my hair erry dam day before work. My hair is not about the pineapple and refresh life. I have to braid it up at night with conditioner because it will dry out, mat up, and tangle otherwise. I tried that and lost so much hair, so yes I cosign with this entire video :) folk have to learn to listen to their hair, not some made up regimen rules.

Asia ChanQuel: your hair is growing so fast ! and your curls are beautiful

KyrieStorm: Tried moisturizing my hair for the first time and when there were barely any curls I literally broke down and started crying when realizing that I was crying over something much deeper than wanting curly hair

aored: omg finally found someone with similar hair types as me! Thanks for the video, this is pretty much what I do as well :)

Akira Elai: I WANT HER HAIR TEXTURE/CURL PATTERN, IT'S SO EASY TO MANAGE/STYLE

Dawn C: Your hair looks like my hair when its curly! So glad to find someone with my hair type. And your hair is so pretty and thick

Denita Lundy: I really love your videos! It's inspiring me to use my natural this summer. I wanted to know do you have issue with your hair reverting when your head sweats? Or does the hair products you use help keep your hair from doing that?

Winters Gift: Your hair LOOKS GREAT!!!

Ny TL: I like how simple she made it. I already use As I Am Cowan, everyone has olive oil in their home, and I might already have some twist defining gel. Yeah I'm all set.

actiionjaackson: "that spray bottle shit dont work over here fam" i swear, my mom used to put my head under the faucet, i do it myself to this day

Tiffany Brown: Finally found a natural hair youtuber I can actually learn from Thank you!

ashlynn Renee: this was EXACTLY my routine a few weeks ago, but i stopped because i was always left with this white cast sittin on top of my hair from all the different products comming in contact with each other, so what do you do about the white residue ?

CeeCee Harbor: Proud of your transition. Still short ova here. Just creating wigs now. No reason to fuss over no growth after three years. Just want to say you look pretty. Take care

Mattie Smith: You are so smart and learning so early on how to maintain your curly hair. The method your using is called the "CURLY GIRL METHOD" It's using natural products only and more CoWashing and less shampoo. I use olive oil EcoStyler Gel (1cup) and mix about (3 TBSP) my favorite oils in a small lid container. On Soaking Wet Hair, I first apply my KC Knots Today leave in, SheaMoisture Curl Smoothie then my EcoStyler Gel Oil Mix in small section, once all is applied then spritz with water and shake your head/hair to make the curls pop. Blot with a old cotton T-shirt and Don't touch until dry. In the mornings all you have to do is spritz and shake no need to re apply products. I have been natural curly 3B/C for years and grew it long too waist length. I got bored and started cutting and coloring. Now I'm starting all over and Big Chopped 2 months ago. I hope that my way works for you.

Jessica: Omg I do the same thing every morning with my hair. I just stick my head under the faucet because my hair doesn’t work well if it’s totally dry. It needs to be saturated with water. Great video ✂️

T M: I big chooped maybe a month and a half after you and my hair is still not even close to being this long omg. And we have the same exact hair type.

quiet storm: Your hair is super cute. I remember my hair was like that when I still permed it but now that I am going natural I am thinking about that hair style bka big chop.

Brittany B: This video has helped me with my routine so much!

Ricalle Nicole: "that spray bottle shit don't work over here fam!" lmfao i'm crying

Heather J: That looks like a lot of work, but it's so worth it. I love your curls! So pretty.

Alexis jaames: We embarked on our natural journey together you're hair is so much longer than mine lol. It's beautiful

dariadacey: Cute, love the curls! I will have to try your techniques! Thanks

IBRenee: Ha I love this... your hair is gorgeous. I need to share this with my sister!

Ash Nrtya: Product is used to define your hair texture lol it doesn't alter it. This is why hair typing kinda sucks because everyone has different opinions (although most would agree 3b3c) I just know I have 4a curls and my curls are no where near that large. Lol

DaVisha Carter: The head in the sink is me!! lol, I have to do my hair everyday or it's too dry!!! I Love it... You're amazing!!!

Queen TRENISE: We all have different techniques. I was taught to never brush wet hair. Nice look.

D. Clarke: I'm getting ready to big chop next week on the 22nd!. I've been transitioning for 13 months now and I'm just tired of the buns. And combing through the madness. I heard you say that your hair works better with more product. Mine does too because I've got high porosity hair. The more product the better. You should do a porosity test on one of your strands to find out what level your hair is on.

Rara B: Yall tripping like it's impossible to have more than one curl type... Her hair looks like mine when it was that length and I'm a 3c4a with patches of 3b (actually grows annoyingly straight and isn't hair damage)... and 4b

Carla Romeroxxx: A-M-A-Z-I-N-G Girl your hair its beautiful and healthy.

THE DUO: Those curls are everything !

MrAsecretgarden: Your hair is growing in so nicely keep it up!

shadava hamilton: I AM SO GLAD I CAME ACROSS YOUR VIDEOS!!!! I couldn't find anyone with my texture hair same thickness and everything and most of the things they do for natural hair never works on my hair. It's frowned upon to use a lot of product with natural hair but some people have too. I couldn't find anything to define my curls until now.

Pinky Dash: Your hair is stunning! and so is your husband :-)

Candace Speaks: Awwwww look at that fro I feel like your big chop was a mistake video was just yesterday! Yay for growth!

Business: its good to see a person with natural hair that goes threw the matted hair situtaion like i do

Vicki W: I just freaking love you and your husband and your hair!!!! you should keep it short it really fits you and your curls be POPPING

Autumn Washington: your hair is beautiful !  so did you say that you put wet and put product in your hair every day ? I know I do and my hair acts better when it has a lot of product in it ! glad im not the only one ! great video !!

Karen Jagers: You got me with the spray bottle shit don't work over hear.  I feel you!  Your hair looks good girl.

TeTe Renee: Your hair and curl pattern is beautiful !

T Johnson: Yes I am so happy I ran across ur video we use the same products & the same routine it was like watching me I thought I was doin it wrong but its just my hair reacts better wet and a lot of product on it.  It drinks it up.  Keep posting luv ur videos

Adella Maria: Your hair has grown a lot! So pretty <3

Jamaican Doll: "Because that spray bottle shit don't work over here " lmaoo I'm subscribing love it

Jade Joseph: I just wanted to first tell you how much I am truly in love with your page I been watching for about a month now I have some questions I did my big chop last month and I want to know what oils did you use for growth and how long does the white tent stay in before it goes away because when I do my leave in and water and gel its almost there the whole day

Something Beautiful Handcrafts: So you are my hero. I thought it as just me, I was doing something wrong. I do have a satin pillowcase, but no matter what I do, my hair is matted in a tiny little no fro every morning. My high porous hair means wetting it every morning, or twist it up every stinkin' night! No such thing as three day old twist out here. To make it worse, I have tiny straw sized ringlets---

Neecee Bensen: Beautiful bouncy curls! :)

Clue Evers: thanks for saying you wet your hair everyday. it works better for me too. I heard its a no no, but it works. great bid.

BeautyWorld404: Stop judging yourself you're beautiful girl!

Tayanna Renee: girl this is just how I feel! I'm glad I'm not the only one! preach .

Madison Sheard: Her hair methods are easy to understand and do and they look beautiful
