Hey guys it's kenzie, so today i am doing mini braids. How many i don't know, but this time i'm not adding beads on the end, because i mean i have some beads with me, but i just want to do what i do with my twist. I want the curly ends now i thought about doing like those sorry y'all, the water is just going crazy. On my back anyways, i thought about doing the bohemian braids. Are they even called bohemian braids, the little ones on tick, tock, little trim ones where you leave out some hair and it looks real cute. You know like that would be really cute, but i'm not doing all that because see this style is going to need to. Last me exactly three weeks because after three weeks it's the last week of my internship, so i'm gon na wear my hair curly and then i'm like you know, i'm gon na give my hair a break to let my hair breathe and then the next week. Exactly three days, like four days later, i'm put my hair in some knotless. You know like braids braids for school, because i go to school the next week. So you know i got it all figured out. I got it all figured out, but i'm gon na be putting my hair into mini braids to you know last day, and i already went ahead and rinsed my hair and today for my process. I will be using the oplex today instead of my regular awesome moist, because um i'm going to do this twice. You know for both protective styles, because y'all know i love my aussie moist this real. It'S real, easy, real, convenient, real slit. My hair loves it. I love it. It'S it's gray, as i put my hair in these protective styles for the last. You know for the next three weeks and then for the braids probably a month, because that's kind of all i can have braids in. I cannot keep raising that long. I just can't so i want to put the opposite. I want to give it to you know the top tier healthcare hair care. You know start off with number three. There we go for the rest of this time. I'M gon na do a voiceover. It makes it easier, and i you know it's just way easier, doing a voiceover, so um voiceovers it is i'm gon na be reading my book i'll, be watching my tick tocks as i do so and then talking to y'all. At the same time, you know like see how easy it is you get a voiceover, i get to watch tick tock. While i do my hair, i'm still doing my hair. You know what i mean. It'S a win-win, and also just a quick, quick message before i actually start the voice over there's a lot of like discourse about a lot of natural hair things that i think is dumb like i started being natural when it got um when it first started. Really like when it was first starting out, i was in the seventh grade. You know i was in the eighth grade, pretty sure i was only three and you know it was all it was way different back. Then the main audience was different. The creators were different. You know all this stuff was different, but now like it's just a lot of people saying dumb things, don't use oil on your hair. Don'T use hair grease on your hair. Don'T do this! Don'T do that! Don'T put your hair in this style girl. Do it do what you want i've been doing what i want. I put oil in my hair. I use hair grease in every hairstyle, literally every hairstyle, i'm gon na use hair grease in this hairstyle, and on top of that, it's done when people say don't use hair grease because unless you're not using it right and like unless you're, not putting no water on Your hair and you're, just like flat using hair, grease, think it's doing something for you. That'S just dumb like be for real. What do you think hair rich is doing for you, it'll moisturize, your hair, but you got to add some water for it to make it all moisturized and juicy. You know, but you know how everyone likes to say. You know my hair used to be really long before my mom gave me a perm yeah, your hair, most likely probably was really long before you got up hurt back in the day, but you know what else our parents used to use on our heads when we Was kids, hair grease like go back to the basics and be simple ain't? No need to be doing all this extra stuff be simple. I use the same two three products for the past five years. I may add in a different curling cream, moisturization and protective styles. That'S the key, that's all you need, literally, you don't need anything else. You don't need to do all this extra stuff care for your hair and put it up. Wear your hair out, sometimes put it up, wear it out and you know let it breathe. Put it up anyways on with the voiceover, so as y'all could see for the past five minutes, i was detangling my hair and once i'm done detangling my hair, i'm just going to twist it up and put it into a little bantu knot, bun and i'm basically Going to do the same thing to all the other sections of my hair, so so so, once i'm done with that, i'm going to go ahead and leave it in for a good 10 minutes, peep the nails they're so cute and after the 10 minutes are up. I'M going to use the shampoo and rinse that out as well as you can see it's in a high bun. Now and now i'm going to use the 401 moisture mask and i'm going to do the same thing that i did when i detangled the first time, except instead of doing four sections. I'M just gon na do two fat sections foreign. So now that i'm all done detangling there's no specified directions as to how long i should leave it in, but i'm going to leave it in for 15 minutes and then rinse it out so now. This is the part that gets real, herky jerky, because i think it's the hardest part of any protective style and that's parting. It'S departing. It really gets to me and, as you can see, i got the other mirror. I have posted up in the back, so i could see what i'm doing and right now, i'm not parting, my whole head or about to part my whole head, i'm just parting. The sections that i use so nothing's super duper crooked or, like i already put hair in another section, but it's supposed to go into this side of the section, and i do a big section in the back. I do a big section on the right side and i do a big section on the left side. So basically, i'm just trying to straighten everything up right now imparting your own hair is super hard y'all. So don't come for me. If stuff is looking a bit. You know not super strict, because i'm only trying to get it as straight as i can get it and it's not going to be super duper straight, but i need to be. You know i need to be decent so now that i'm done putting my hair into their sections, i'm going to start with the first braids in the back and parting that and trying to get it to look as neat as possible. This probably took me 15 minutes. Just trying to get the part in the back straight and figure out how much hair i want to be back there and all that but yeah. So i'm going to moisturize my hair with blue magic and hair oil. My little hair oil concoction that i like to use and then i'm going to detangle it and i'm going to be using shine and jam on my parts and on my braids as the gel like they would typically do when you're getting like regular braids with braiding Hair and stuff, and, like i told y'all, my parts aren't going to be super duper straight, but they're going to be as straight as i can get them and, as you can see now, i'm just putting the three strands that i'm using into a little formation and Trying to get it as close to my scalp as i can and then once i achieve that, i'm just going to start braiding my hair and doing this to the rest of my head. So so the first section is done, and now i'm going to start on the second section and trying to part this section was a bit harder than trying to part the first section. So this probably took me a bit longer before i was even able to start braiding, but thankfully my mom was there to help me out when i like really needed it and i was really getting fed up but yeah once i get all that pardon figured out. Um, i'm just gon na do the exact same thing that i did to the previous section. Look at that back, half y'all! Don'T it look good? Don'T it look good for me doing it myself, maybe not professionally, but for me yeah, it looks real good. Look! Real neat now for the front half of my hair, don't mind me y'all, i'm on the phone with my homegirl, but for the front half of my hair. The parting just be way weirder like trying to get things even it's just like not it's not straight across. It'S like maybe it's my head shade. Maybe my hair shaped weird, i don't know but parting. It is always funky. So this first section that y'all see me part by my ear on this little section that i'm doing yeah once it's braided, it's gon na look a bit wonky, but that's okay, because you can't really see it when it's all said and done, but yeah the front. Half of my hair, whenever it comes apart, parking just gets real slip and slidish foreign dude, not your fault, um. Finally done it's grown, i mean obviously it's grown since the last time. I did it but like wow, like it looks so much more. Even you know. I love this for me. Let me show you the back as well and i took a long time. It'S 4 22. I started i like i started out looking. I can do my edges, but i don't think i will i'm about to go outside in the heat. Anyways, but these look cute, so that's it. I mean it's a simple braid style, but i mean it's a simple braid style, but simple is cute and i love simple. I hope you all enjoyed. Don'T forget the main thing i said about the whole natural hair thing. You know if you're trying to you know start out or you are doing it. Man my face is greasy anyways, whether you're trying to start out or you are doing it you're, just having like a rut, girl, put in a protective style and make sure it's moisturized, keep the hair moisturized and keep that hair protected. Leave it alone retain length. That'S the word retain link. That'S really not your fault! Oh that matters anyways. I hope you all enjoyed it. I'M free to like comment subscribe, and i will see you all in my next video bye.
