pros and cons of mini braids, mini braids series, mini braids on 4b/4c hair, low manipulation hairstyle, low porosity natural 4c hair, low density 4c hair, 4b/4c natural hair, reasons to get mini braids.

Hey everyone welcome back to my channel, it's Danielle here in today's video. I will be sharing a natural hair growth challenge, so if you're interested come on in join the family and let's get started so the purpose of this natural hair growth challenge is to grow. Not only longer hair, not only healthier hair, but to also learn about your hair and your scalp. So if you're interested in joining challenge then continue watching as always and yeah, let's just get straight into it. So the theme that i have for this challenge is called simplicity is key. All right, simplicity is key for this natural hair growth challenge. It'S going to be for three months. If you guys are interested in this - and you want to join in mark your calendar three months from now, so it's a three month challenge that i'm doing so. If you want to also join in it's basically three months from today, so the day that you're watching this three months or the day that you decide that you want to start the challenge three months from that date, i'm going to start my challenge on august 7th And then i'm just going to end it on november 7th of this year, which is 2022, so the method that i'm going to be using is actually a low manipulation style. It is a mini twist. Now you can either do minute twists or mini braids or without whatever protective style that you choose and braids. If you're, under away whatever method that you're using the goal, is to try to reduce the amount of times that you actually style your hair and just focus on your hair care and your scalp care. So for the detangling process, i'm going to be using my fingers and i'm going to also be using a wide tooth comb and a denim brush. If i need it, i'm trying so hard to just stop using comb completely, but it's so hard like who wouldn't? Who would have thought that would be so hard, but it is hard. So i am using my fingers and i'm using a white tooth comb. So you choose your detangling items and tools, make sure that it is natural, hair friendly and it doesn't cause a lot of breakage. So, whatever items that you choose natural, hair friendly, they got to be natural here friendly and they have to also not cause too much. Breakage in your hair, as far as measurements, i'm going to be using a tape measure if you want to use a tape measure also come on in and do that. If you have like a ruler, i don't know whatever measurement that you choose to use. You can use i'm going to use a tape measure so yeah, so the duration is three months. The measurements that i'm going to use to track. The progress or setbacks is a tape measure and i am going to be using my fingers and a white tooth comb for my detangling process. In addition to the data collection, you also want to make sure that you have products that you're going to be using so i'll recommend using the same products for the three months. But if you, you know, you run other products or you can't get that particular product or whatever the case may be. I recommend that you actually get a product that is similar in purpose of the product that you had initially. So if you had a moisturizing shampoo, i recommend that you actually get another moisturizing shampoo, instead of just a regular shampoo, so you want to get very specific. Okay, you want your hair replacement products to mimic the same results as your regular. You know your regular products, so you try to get them as similar as possible. As far as products are concerned, you're going to want to choose your liquid you're, going to choose your cream or your leave-in conditioner you're, going to choose your oil choose, whatever method works best for you, i do the lco method. If the other methods work best. For you, you do those three products. I also suggest that you document your journey with either pictures or videos or some type of concrete evidence that you can see and that you can actually look back on. What you also want to do is make sure you have a detailed schedule from sunday all the way to saturday, so we're basically documenting on what days exactly what is supposed to take place. So, for example, if you have wash day and your wash days are sunday you're, gon na, say: okay, sundays are wash days, you know, and you can say, like thursdays are deep conditioning days and i'm gon na do that every week or every other week or once A month, so you want to make sure that you get specific as possible because we're really trying to be intentional with our journey. So for me i know that saturdays i'm going to wash my hair, so my wash days will be saturday, so just basically determine what exactly you're going to do on what days working around your schedule so that you can be as efficient as possible and as far As you know, your weekly schedules go. You also want to make sure you're clarifying your scalp, so put you know put a day in or two where you are actually clarifying your scalp. So the main point is that you want to shampoo your hair. You want to condition it. You want to also clarify your hair with a clarifying shampoo and you want to add in a deep conditioning treatment to your hair. Now, if you are on a protein treatment as well, get specific and write out the days that you're actually going to do the protein treatments, i know that animal porosity, so i don't need all that protein. So i don't really. You know i tend to shy away from proteins, but if protein is something that you want to implement in your routine right at the days that you're actually going to be using the protein treatment in your hair, you're also going to want to do a nighttime routine. That is tailored to you. I recommend a silk bonnet or a silk pillowcase, as always, or i also want you guys to consider a motivation or a inspirational source. So wherever you get your inspiration or your motivation from go ahead and write that down also. So all these things guys are writing them down. Okay, because we have to be specific and we have to have concrete evidence. Okay, so we're writing all these things down. You'Re gon na need to be motivated on this journey, find that source and keep it there keep it current, keep it close to you. It works out better that way. So, basically, what you're doing is you're writing down all these things, your goals, duration, all those things that we just mentioned earlier and you're writing down your source of motivation or your source of inspiration, just get specific as possible, and not too specific, where you're driving yourself Crazy, we don't need all of that, but but just try to get more well-rounded details as far as what you're doing when you're doing it and why you're doing it? Okay, but yeah, that's basically it. I hope this wasn't too overwhelming. So we want to keep this simple. We do not want to overload our hair with too much products we're just trying to remain simple with everything and we're trying to keep our hands out of here. Okay, so simplicity is key once again and hand limitations the hand in hair syndrome. You have to lessen that so so we have our theme. We have our goal. We have our system of measurement, we have a duration, we have our tools and we also have our products that we're going to be using if you're interested in joining the natural hair growth challenge then come on in and yeah. Let'S do this. Thank you guys for watching, don't forget to like comment, share and subscribe for more natural hair, related content and i'll see you guys in my next video later guys. So i'm going to go ahead and show you guys all the products that i'm going to be using on this three month challenge starting right! Now, you you
