Hair Extensions Tutorial

Hi you guys its Natasha darling, also your Quarantine beauty queen, since I'm not taking clients, and I want to keep talking to y'all. I decided to start making some videos. I'Ve wanted to maybe make these videos for a long time, and today, I'm actually going to start with hair extensions, how to put in your hair extensions and also how to match your hair extensions to your hair. I don't have any hair extensions in right now. I did blow-dried my hair style, my hair, so that it's prepared but yeah. This is going to be really simple. I'M going to show you how you can do it yourself and how you can blend the hair to where it wears naturally looks natural. Doesn'T look like you literally have like a curtain of hair? That'S what I see most often in Los Angeles, is that it looks like people have it's. It'S obvious that it's hair extensions that you have like a big sheet of hair in so today, I'm going to try to show you a couple of different ways of how to put your hair in and make it look a little more natural fly under the radar. Let'S see clean hair is best for this, especially if you have fine hair and a lot of people who wear extensions, do have finer than hair we're trying to bulk up our hair, so clean hair works best for us. It'S just the way that our hair is. I actually had a friend of mine helped me to match some old hair extensions thanks Marv she matched them to what my hairdresser Melissa does and she did a bang-up job. So let me show you, like literally look how well that blends with my hair color wise, color wise, like perfectly so we're gon na, make it real, simple guys, okay, so the tools that you'll need for this are really easy. You can either use a back comb or you can use a pintail comb either. One both are fine, you'll need a hair, clip and you'll need. Some hairspray hairspray doesn't really matter which one because we do have fine in thin and soft hair. I don't recommend that you go really harsh on your products. You don't need, like extreme cement, hold crazy hairspray so start at the bottom started from the bottom. Now we're here. Sorry, the bottom, it's been a rough two weeks and when I say start at the bottom feel your ears go just above your ear and you're actually going to go down. At least the police still have a job you're going to go down in a smiley, face and separate this hair doesn't matter how separate this hair to where you have a smiley face down there. Take it back home, take your hair spray spray it on your phone. Just pick the top just create this area, to give it some teeth, to give it some grip again, because our hair is so thin and fine and soft things just slide right out of it. That'S why we can't people with hair, like this typically can't do like a traditional weave where they like braid your hair and those rows and then sew the hair and that doesn't really work for us, because her hair is so slippery. That it'll just slip right out. Also that braid will break our hair off so back home at the base. Just give it a little feel. You can feel that it's like back combed. I hope this is showing up in the phone that comment. Nice. You don't have to be aggressive. So there's a couple different pieces: there's twins like they're, literally exactly the same width, you've got twins, you've got singles two single pieces and then you've got a longer piece. This piece is longer than the twins, so here's one of the twins see this piece is longer than the twins, so the longest piece goes on the smiley face at the bottom start in the middle start in the middle you want it to be centered, so just Feel for it slip that down and then slip this piece in and slip this piece in and when I say slip it in, like put it in to where you created, that that teeth with the with the hairspray in the back comb and that's your first row. Let it down still doesn't really matter what your hair looks like now. This part is important, we're gon na, because this is part of keeping it undercover that you're wearing hair extensions. You don't want people know that you're wearing hair extensions. Why do we want people to know that I don't understand so? Why does part of our head, like you can feel where the widest the widest part of your head is like the biggest part of your head? Mine is right here, so this is the widest part of my head. That is where the twins are going to go. So just above my brow, I'm gon na take it separate it. Lift it up like before separate this from the rest. Make sure that you've got enough hair? Sometimes I don't pull enough hair down, because again our hair is so fine if you don't pull enough hair down for it to hold on to it's just gon na slide right out. I think I'm gon na add a little bit more to the sides. Take your PIN or your back, because you know oftentimes. We we have finer hair in the front right, so just take a little bit more down. Those need to be a ton because we want a lot of hair on top, because that's gon na hide the hair extensions. I remember one time I was hanging out with my friend Roger Thanksgiving, I'm gon na have to spray, and you could totally see my hair extensions. Why cuz? They were super blond and I'm not super blonde. I'M like beachy blonde. I don't know how Melissa does it, but she does so the back come all this area, just like we did with the smiley face and feel it. You should be able to feel when there's an area like this, that has not been back home yet just good. It does not have to be an aggressive back home you guys back. Combing is not good for your hair. It'S not good for your hair. It breaks off your hair dries. It out does damage to it. It'S forcing the cuticle to go in the opposite direction and that's why it works it beefs it up um so do a light bit of backcombing. Nothing too hard. You shouldn't be like putting your back into the back combing, okay to use it. Take your twins now with twins: we don't start at the center. We start close to the edge, but not the edge, because, like look at that super obvious, we want it to blend. So we scoot back a bit from the edge and add it in Nomar. Also cut these for me, and so there is a possibility that there's a left side and a right side, and I got it right, and I know that I got it right, because this is a little bit shorter. This sides a little bit shorter than this side. Okay, second row is in make sure that one can really in there see we've got some human hair here as a buffer got some human hair here as a buffer and here's the back. Now we put the singles where's my Harold, a little bit for fine hair. I use a Denman brush Denman, the bristles are just softer they glide through the hair. They don't have those little nut bees on them that pull out our hair um. I actually think this is really great for brushing my hair when it's wet. Also, I mean I'm very gentle with it. That'S a great brush I'll, probably link that in the video notes. So I take my singles ready to mingle, and one of these is too long. So you look. One of these looks like it's one of my 18-inch ones too long, so we're gon na put that over there and try to find the proper one. But for now single singles are tricky cuz. They go right in the front, and this is where people often times see your hair extensions. Now we also may be wondering why I'm doing some like. Why am i doing clippings, but I wrote a blog about this. It is my most popular blog post hang on at the spray. It is the most popular blog post and it is hair extensions for fine hair, best, hair extensions for fine hair and my goal my priority, whether its lashes or skin care or hair hair extensions. Whatever has always been to have the healthiest hair, I can have to have the healthiest lashes. I can have to have the healthiest skin I can have. I mean I want it to be pretty as well, but not at the cost of my body. So that's why I always recommend clip-ins the they don't do the damage that all the other hair extensions do I mean I guess that is that was my twin I'm wrong. This does go in my hair, it's just longer for some reason: um. I found that tape damages I've, looked it up researched it like people, wind up with holes, beads bonding tape, protein wets. All of that I don't care what it is. I do not care what it is. Everybody always ends up damaged, hair. So - and you know, I've tried all of those I've. I'Ve even done the glue well from the old school and I've tried it. All. I'Ve tried the beads. I'Ve tried the wefts. I'Ve tried the protein. I tried the. I did not hide the tape because I watched someone getting the tape removed like getting their tapes changed at a salon. I used to work at a salon. My first last job was at a salon in Beverly. Hills see look at that. This is why this is how people see your hair extensions, but let me show you a trick. Anyways, I watched her getting her tapes changed this client, this, like client, whose name starts with an H, and she owns every hotel in the world. Her daughters, named after a famous city in France, I watched her getting her tapes changed and it ripped. I listened to it, ripping her hair out and after that I was like nope okay. So all my hair syndromes are in now. You can see I'll find my hair is on top like you can see my head, but now we need to hide the hair extensions, so we go up above the singles. Don'T worry about that just a little tangle, we go up above the hair. The singles good! Lord they're, almost like a toupee shape, no, not enough, not enough hair, I did not grab. I did not leave enough hair there, I'm almost like you're doing like a half-up, half-down kind of style, pull all that down. Isolate this clip and now see see all this hair. That'S hanging, we backcomb that just take it, you give it a little back home. This is how we're gon na hide or hair extensions. No spray now see my hair extensions blends so well. I can't tell what's hair extension or what's mine, we're just gon na blend that give it a little brush to smooth it over, because we want to look natural right. We don't want to look like crazy you'd, be crazy. Just don't want to look crazy. What is this? Do you see this? Oh that's this! That'S this! That'S fine move that grab the hair, give it a little backcomb use these musi, give it all a little back home, smooth it out. Gentle. Take this hair. That'S left up here now! This is the interesting thing. Take the back home or the pin tell separate this section and back home the sections this we just leave because we're natural we're in California we'd like to play with our hair, and that is an easy way to do your hair extensions. Now, if you wanted to, you, can go through and give it some beachy waves, you could take a damp brush and gently brush through it and it and give it a whole different kind of beachy wave, because when this hair dries wet, it gets like a natural Wave to it because most of this hair is Asian hair, let's see what else I mean you can't even see like. I haven't even done anything besides blow-drying my hair. I think Mara blow-dried this hair when she was done with it, but like other than that nothing's been done. This is it. This is my hair. I mean you can't even see it and then let me tell you if you wanted to go a little more natural. Just take out the smiley face at the bottom because doing less hair extensions, it still gives you the appearance of thick hair without making it look. Fake hair still looks, good, hair still looks thick, see perfect and then, if we want to shoot it up a little make it a little fancy. Take a little Kitsch. Barrette kitch put some makeup on the top make up some extra and just see what side should we do in a little bit of it back you're ready to get out in the world as soon as this quarantine is over Thanks?
