Diy Starter Micro Loc Journey | Two Strand Twist| Human Hair Extension| Low Density Fine Hair

Hey Beautiful people of the world. I finally decided to start my #MicroLoc journey. I have no idea how my low density, fine hair will progress especially considering that I added human hair extensions to the length of my twist. I'm super excited and thank you for joining me on this journey.

I don't know anybody who have started their two-strand twist with human hair, so i can't even tell you how my ends are gon na lock if they're gon na lock, i literally have no idea, so this is going to be a trial for me, like hey, beautiful People of the world, it's your girl, a reed and if you're tuning in today is because i decided to start my unlock journey. So if you are new to this channel, thank you for joining and if you've been around your girls page before welcome back and just thank you all for watching really. Typically, my page is centered on building a healthier, positive relationship with ourselves and, as i take this walk, you know along the journey. I just realized, like my hair, has a lot to do with it. I'Ve never truly committed to my hair ever in life like yeah. I went natural but and like i love the way, my hair looks when i shampoo it, but i'm not the type that would wear my natural hair out. That'S just not me so typically, my styles would be faux locs and it would be really really full super long ponytail. It had to be this big, exaggerated, long ponytail. So this whole journey is super new to me. If you follow my channel, you know that i have a knotless micro twist tutorial that is sisterlock inspired now. The reason why i did that look was because i wanted to just ease myself into a similar style. I really wanted to just get used to seeing myself with hair that wasn't so voluminous and just the overall different look, and i actually love that style. It was so lightweight super low maintenance, and that also speaks true to how locks can be at times right. So that was a really good good transition honestly. Had i done that hair with human hair, i would have kept it in and just locked, my hair from them, but because it was synthetic hair. I just knew that i had to take it out at some point. So, eight months later, um i just decided. Like look, this is the time to commit, and here we are so i'm going to show you what my hair looks like at the moment. Um i started locking my hair. Excuse me. I started twisting so i started twisting my hair on march 26 and i finished on april 2nd, so it literally took me seven days to complete this look. I did it myself and i love that right, like i love that i created this look for myself, and this is something that is, you know, i'm trying to i'm trying to rock this out forever so um. This is what it looks like. I did add extensions to each of them and i'll show you what that looks like up close just so that you can get a speak. So i twisted my hair and then i would just add extensions throughout and you can see like just the amount of frizz. The frizz i like, i actually cannot wait for these twists to swell, because i have a low density and my hair strands are fine, so i'm not into the scalpy look now that the front is a week old, it's not as scalpy as it looked when i First, did it um, however, the back still looks very scalpy to me and also i understand that the back was done a little bit bigger. So let me just go ahead and show you what that looks like, so that scalpy look is not my style at all. At all, like that, scoffy look is not my style at all um. However, it's a part of the journey. It'S a part of the process. Right like this is what it is and i'm committed to it. I'M committed to see how my hair transform i'm committed to seeing how i feel throughout this journey, like if i'm really down for loving myself, i got ta be able to accept how i look at any stage right, so yeah. I just wanted to hop on show y'all what this looks like, because you won't see any more. You know like styles, that i would typically have in my videos and yeah. This is what it is, so i did take out one of them just so that i could demo how to add the extension here. Like i know, with this transition, i at least want it like. If i couldn't get the fullness right away, i at least wanted a little bit of extra length. Oh, my goodness ash you got ta find that girl you got ta, find it all right. Give me one moment: i'm going to try to find it. I might have to go off camera to find it. I should this always happens to me all right i'll, be right. Back, okay, i found it. I'M just going to move everything out. Um. One thing i could say is, i feel so free like i feel so. Free right now, i don't think i've ever felt so free when it comes to my hair, and that is what i am living for in the moment like. I just feel so free, and i really do appreciate that. So i'm going to show you the type of hair that i used for the extensions model model, hot hair, hot human bow care um. It only comes in one color, which is natural. The texture is supposed to be 4c, but i really think it's more like a three um, because my natural hair texture is a four and it's kind of loose, but the the extension has kind of loose, but it it still works very well. So this is one two strand twist. This is my hair right here and i undid it up to a certain point, because it just the way that i did it before just wasn't working well, i was probably getting lazy. So with this one, my hair starts to thin around this area, so right before, like around this area, so right before it starts to thin, i'm just gon na add a little bit of extension, um a very, very thin extension like super thin. Typically, i would go a little bit further down, but i have to speak to like the weak point of my hair. So let me come in close, so what i do is, i rest the hair on top of my finger right, you want to make sure it's close and i'm going to do the twisting method so each side, i'll twist, twist twist twist twist in this side. Now i didn't i'm just twisting the extension hair into my hair, i'm not actually crossing them just yet so now that both sides has been twisted, i'm going to now twist and turn twist and turn twist and turn um. I don't know anybody who have started their two strand twists with human hair, so i can't even tell you how my ends are gon na lock if they're gon na lock, i literally have no idea, so this is gon na be a trial for me like when I talk when i tell you this is going to be a journey. This is going to be a journey so once i feel it getting thinner, i'm going to take a next strand and just get that and again you want to make sure it's very, very thin and i just rested over my fingertips and you want to make sure That they're relatively, even because i'm not trying to get too much length extension out of this one per se. So i just want to make sure that they're pretty even just about and we're going to again just twist the extension into the hair on both sides. And now twist on down, you can see this first coming along. That'S great, i like that. I like that personally, you just work it on down. You just work it on down and pretty much that's it like it's a very simple concept. However, it is a very tedious process that is time consuming, but again it just goes back to me committing that time to my hair and just embracing this journey. One side is a little bit longer than the next, but it's okay and it's so fine. I can't even borrow hair, so let me show you what that looks like up. Close, very seamless comes down just about here. We all know it's gon na shrink up yeah, it's been a week and my scalp is already itching me. I don't know what i'm gon na do um i spoke to my mom and she was like yeah. You know you can't wash your hair for six weeks and i'm like six weeks now. She said six months after something she she had to mean six weeks, because this shrine is crazy. I'M very excited for what it's gon na look like within a year um and i'm gon na keep y'all updated every step of the way. Um you'll definitely get another update in six weeks regarding what it's looking like before and afters of my first wash yeah i'll, definitely keep you posted on this hair journey and i'm really excited again. I just feel so free. I wish i would have. Did this a long time ago, like a really long time ago, but if you have fine, hair, low density, hair or you're, just considering locking your hair and don't want to truly commit um just yet or not too sure, i would definitely say check out my knotless Micro twists, sisterlock inspired look because that is what definitely made me feel more comfortable about this transition, especially considering the way that i used to wear my hair. But the fact of the matter is, i don't even have the desire to wear those styles anymore. I'M just really, i feel just more comfortable with where i'm at right now and i just feel more comfortable. Seeing what i see when i look in the mirror, so that's it. I hope this video was helpful to somebody anybody um feel free to like this video share. This video comment down below, let me know, what's your hand, density if you're thinking about locking your hair at some point, um. If you know anybody who actually started their loc journey with human hair uh, please let me know that as well, because i would just like, like i, i kind of just wan na get a glimpse of what to expect in some capacity right, because everybody's hair is Different, my hair is not gon na be as full as what you would typically see. If you were to google sister locks, you know or a micro box like this is not sister box at all. These are just micro, lux um and, to be honest, they're not even out right now, right now, they're just two sure and twist okay, and then we're gon na jump the gun right now they just two short twists that we want to block eventually. So i'm very, i am okay with my journey, i'm just curious to see like what other people's hair look like. So let me know down below i'm super excited. Thank you for joining me on this journey. You will definitely see me soon and thank you for watching. Just do so

MrsJLathan: I did this to start my traditional sized locs 2.5 years ago. It works! The key is to get the hair-to-part ratio juuuuuuuuuust right because your hair will swell in the loc but the added hair will not. I can't wait to see how this turns out for you! I love mine.

Kedah Diggs: I am so glad that I wasn't the only one thinking of doing this! Please keep your journey up, I will watch! I want to do the same thing, just ordered the hair ☺️

TripleR ~ Real Relevant & Relatable. : I love it!!! I have the same issues as yourself ( low density hair ) I started my micro loc journey back in May but want extension for the same reason as you, space. You did an awesome job. Beautiful work-Great Job!

Gena Gray: This is a blessing......I will definitely be doing this soon!

S Williams: I'm so glad to see this journey. Couldn't find anyone doing this

Princess Resonna: LOVE IT! I'm starting my journey tomorrow and was doing some final research. Thank you!

Zenovia Harvest: Omg thank you for making this video. I’m planning on starting my locs the same way

L Hartman: Thank you and please be encouraged to keep sharing your journey. I have been wanting to do this for a couple yrs now (I already have the hair and everything), but as you know, there's not many vids on the subject. Looks like a bunch of us will be on the journey together ❣️

shekina terrell: It was fate that I found your video. LOL, but FR really. I'm planning on locking my hair the same way and I was looking for videos to help me along. Thank you, Sis!

K8 Irush: Welcome to the microloc community. I am 6 months locd and loving it. Watch out for the unraveling if your hair is soft

Space Case: Subbed to your sister’s channel. Looking forward to seeing your journey! Wondered why you didn’t start when you did those beautiful knotless micro braids!

Ty La Shae: I just did this with braids instead of twists. I feel sooooo free too!

missamericanpie1: Braidsthatspeak on IG (her YT presence isn't huge) is based in Maryland and she installs locs as mini twists using human hair extensions. Her work is very neat and seamless. I looked at her page and your video for ideas on mini twists (I love the look, but don't want to loc.. again).

vanessa shaw: Just started my journey with braid locs extensions and am so excited to see how they develope.. It;s been about three weeks and it feels like my roots are growing pretty fast already. The only problem so far is trying to keep my hands out of my hair. I think I just love the feel of then, Good luck to you as well.

Antonia F: Update please!! I hope this is going well for you. I’m trying to do the same thing. Human hair is ordered and I’m ready to gooo!

MsCandy S: Bravo. I’m still building courage. Hopefully I’ll decide on something before I’m bald. Smh. Right now I’m thin with medium length hair. He’s getting less serious to me every day so that’s how I know I’m ready to start my journey

April More Than Hair: i definitely have been wanting to lock my hair with human hair. Glad you did it.

Malikah J: Excited to follow you on this journey

Leslie W.: So I don’t have Locs but I have low density, fine hair and I do microtwists all the time with my own hair. I don’t know if this info would change because of the extension, but two things that make my hair look fuller are: 1- freestyle parts 2- instead of double twisting line a Senegalese twist, just twisting down the length without also twisting the strands between fingers. Sorta like doing a loose twist but more uniform in pressure.

Mo'unique Smith: Love this vid. You did an amazing job! Looks great! Where did u get the hair?

Simply BJs Creations: Beautiful!

Jacki Dunbar: Good evening. I have a question. How did your twist extensions hold out from installation through today?

Be Still: The hair will lock up to where you added the extensions. I had done this technique about 2 years ago-then cut my hair. Your locs will be fine

SpoiledCurlyGurl: I started with my own natural hair but they are really small like yours. I was concerned they are too small but I want a lot of fullness later when they start to mature.

Pink Lady Couture: Oh goodness your hair is super beautiful.

Kurlylox: For the itchy scalp try mixing in a small spray bottle witch hazel, few drops of peppermint, tea tree, lemongrass oils. Spray onto then wipe it off the scalp with an old T-shirt. Do in sections. It refreshes the scalp between washes.

denise johnson: I love it, good job

Jamecha Ellison: Does the hair feel coarse or hard? If so, did it soften with washing?

Lari IRL: Been looking for a video like this. Joining your community to followup

Kai Akimana: how many packs of hair did you use? and how many do you recommend ?

t337: Marking 7:55 I needed this.

Latoya Golisano: I know this an old video, if you haven't gotten anything for your scalp yet, use rosewater and vitamin e oil..Blessings

Dj Gray: Hi it’s beautiful.

Dianne Phillip: this is what i needed ........Thanks much

Dorothy Lisbon: I would suggest you look into no sulfates fast hair growth shampoo.

Me As a living being: How long you wait before you wash ur hair ???

biscuitoffme: If you remember could you tell me the hair you used for extensions

Karla Denise Thomas: I am mixed with white and black and have very soft easy to unravel without the Africans doing my hair. I am having someone who braids to do my hair and cannot afford slippage and unraveling.

LaTorrie Redd: Can the hair extension be colored?

Wyn Charlery: How many packs of hair did you use?

Black Bonnie: Hi Areid, How are you? Did you purchase your hair online and if so can you please give me the website? I am planning on locking my hair using micro locs.

Sandra: Do you have the link of the hair you use, please?

Friesen Bee: *We should respect everyone's collection. Some people collect stamps, artwork, coins, etc. Why not collect the hair wigs? The replication package price on **_wtiktokshop.com_** website is favorable, high-quality virgin human hair.*
