Do the tags on bundles, like this, really make a difference in the quality of the hair? Well, let's talk about it. What'S up hair business blueprint, it's your hair business's best friend, mikey. Also, the author of fearless beauty, the hair business blueprint make sure you check it out today we're going to talk about whether or not the wraps on these hair extensions make a difference in the quality or the type of hair. Now i've seen a lot of people on youtube. Talking about this and saying oh, this color wrap means one thing: this color wrap means another thing i am here to tell you the color of the wrap means absolutely nothing. It'S all done on a manufacturing level. Now, if you've been following me for a while, you know i pre-covered spent a ton of time overseas. I work directly with manufacturers we partner with them on hair projects, we're behind the scenes at private label with thousands of hair companies. So when i tell you i know, i know this wrap means absolutely nothing. I could put any color wrap. I want on any bundle from the manufacturer. That'S really how it works so, depending on different manufacturers might do a pink or something they think is going to appeal to women. You know wrap like this is generally generally virgin hair, but at private label we also sell raw hair. That is wrapped like this. It doesn't have a silver band on it, but the band colors, don't really matter. If i said i wanted this to be a pink band or a gold band or any band, they would do it for me right, so you might be used to seeing a lot of raw hair is bundled like this. So this is raw hair from india and it's very common to have it kind of tagged and wrapped, like this opposed to a circle. Let'S take a closer look now, as you can see, there is a difference how these are wrapped, but it doesn't really necessarily make a difference in the quality of hair. Sometimes it won't even have this band it'll be a straight rubber band around it, because underneath here is a rubber band, so don't get stuck on whether or not these bands really make a difference. Okay, what you need to do is really test the quality of the hair, how many short strands it has inside the bundle. We generally refer that to the ratio, so the ratio of long hairs to short hairs, if you have more short hairs in the bundle, is generally going to be a less lower cost bundle relative to something that was really thick and full all the way down. But most bundles aren't really like that, even with raw hair, this is probably a little bit better ratio than that. One way you could easily test is taking a bundle grabbing it by the bottom and shaking it and see how many of the shorter hairs kind of fall out right. So you can do that as a test. You can test the hair by coloring it. You can understand the differences between virgin hair and raw hair. You know that's going to be real important, but sometimes your customer isn't always going to like a raw hair product which in theory is a better product but they're not always going to like it, because they're used to virgin hair. So that's really going to be up to you, but as far as these bundle tags go, they do not make a difference. I can have any bundle tag i want, you know any, which way i want at a certain level now, if you're just getting in the hair industry, and you talk to a hair company, you're, probably not dealing direct with a manufacturer because you're not buying millions of Dollars a month in hair, you know, you probably don't have the same say-so as we do a private label at this point, because we partnered with celebrities and big hair brands and everybody else to be the back end of their system. So we have a lot more pool and that's okay. You don't necessarily need that flexibility and freedom once you started in the hair industry because you're just getting started and we all start at zero. So it's okay! So as far as these bundle tags or bands are concerned, don't worry about it. It doesn't really make a difference, really focus on the actual core product, which is the hair. Gloria Burford: The band colors on hair bundles were a big concern for me at first because I thought the colors specified the hair quality. I wanted to know before I spent the money to order branding band labels for my hair bundled products. I'm happy that I did some research and learned band colors did not specify a difference in the quality of hair. This made it easy for me to make the decision to use Private Label Branding for the bundled hair products I sell. Lessons learned… I make it a practice to research my concerns before I make decisions. Yes, it takes time, but it is worth it in the long run. Thanks for confirming what I learned, the tips on how to gauge hair quality and all the support you give us to help grow our businesses.
Wyatt Hair Collection: Band colors don’t dictate quality of hair! Should always test hair’s quality by curling, coloring, manipulating etc. As usual great info Mikey
Keundria Graves: Very informative. Love it The part of the video when the guy came in and said "ok" lol
Femi S. Hair: Right!! The band color is just for branding/marketing purposes. I would pay more attention to the construction of the weft. The hair should be sewn on neat with no thread sticking out
Eunique Brown: Ok I thought so. Great info Mikey
Gwendolyn Smith: I was just debating about this because somebody stated if you see the blue bands than the hair is topnotch hair. On another note Can you do video of why 613 hair shred? I have tried multiple vendors and the 613 shreds a lot .
Lyn P: What quality you use for upart wigs
