This is a product I'm really excited to share with you today. This is our new doctored locks clip in dreadlocks set, and it will give you the nice soft look of dreads in about five minutes or less so to do our installation we're going to use our little wonder. Brush, that's going to give us a little bit of backcombing for the teeth of the clips to grab into and then also it's going to help to work to camouflage this top wefted layer. We'Re going to use a bit of hairspray to help keep the ends on the natural hair a little bit clumpy and then also to kind of lay them in a little bit better with our dread pieces and then a clip to control the natural hair. To keep it out of the way our clip set contains five pieces that are three inches wide and one piece that is 9 inches wide. Now the best way that I've found to do this installation is to work on your head. So you have about a double layer of dreads, no matter where you are at your install, I'm going to show you a balanced installation. So I'm going to start by putting the longer piece in the back a piece on top of that and then two on each side. Now, if you have more of an extreme side part, you can put one on the side and then three on the other or stack two on this side and two on this top back, really there's no right or wrong way to do this installation before we start. I'M going to part and then put in just a tiny little bit of backcombing. Now, for this longer layer, I'm going to start by just back combing the center part and getting those two clips installed and then we'll work on either side of that snap them open teeth, go into that tiny little bit of backcombing. Now you don't have to put back coming in it, just messes up the hair a little bit so that the teeth have something to grab into, because if you're trying to put straight teeth into straight hair, sometimes it doesn't quite grab as well as you'd want it To, but you know that's with with every clip set, the other thing is: if you open up your clip and you push the hair up underneath a little bit, you can also push down and that will give it a little bit of extra security as well. So now that we've got our Center in there, I'm going to come over on the side and we're going to do the same thing and then we'll go to the other side and do it over there. You, okay, we're just gon na keep adding. This is the center back lifting up our top layer, and this is about as high as I want to go before it's going to start exposing my weft, so just kind of keep that in mind just a little bit of backcombing your the roots. Now the little wonder brush is really really effective at adding your back combing. You don't need to do too many passes to get it in there. I like these brushes a lot for that. I use them religiously. They are definitely one of my go to styling brushes. Now we have this back part set, so we're just going to do our two on the side and two on the side. So what I like to do is come in and try to decide how close I can get it to the part line first. So I'm like okay! This is where I can go here without seeing it on the top. So I'm going to push that out of the way and now I'm going to come in and see how close, underneath that I can get the other one. So I'm not actually doing it yet, but at least not doing that top one. Yet I'm just coming in and kind of deciding where to put it, which is a process that I call budgeting so we're budgeting where we're going to put those extensions. So same thing just going to put in a little bit of backcombing, we do have these clip sets in human hair and synthetic the human hair are nice because you can curl out the ends. You can also color them. They work really nicely to do. Ombre colors, the heat styling aspect is really nice and the other thing is you: if you decide that you're going to commit to full-time dreads, you can always cut these off of the weft and actually install these the human hair ones straight into your dreads. That completes our first sides and you can see it looks really good. So now we're going to do the other side flipping that out of the way now that's our first budget, we're not going to put that hair in yet we're going to go a little bit lower so that we can put in that piece now, sectioning it off. I mean a little bit of backcombing just enough to get our clips in there clip in and write down clip in write down. Now we are going to use the hair that we budgeted back combing in down, and so, as you can see, they already are blending really really well, but to finish off this style, what I like to do is make sure that our web SAR not exposed, and I do this with our regular wefted hair, not just with the dreads, so I'm just going to take this hair and flip it up, and I'm going to use a little bit of backcombing to create a camouflaged layer now. This is really important for your blondes, because blondes tend to let a lot of light in and they tend to expose the rows a little bit easier than darker colors. Do so just kind of keep that in mind when you're styling we're just going to put in a little bit of backcombing to kind of help, shuffle the hair and add a little bit of coverage underneath again not going for volume just trying to add in a Little bit of mess right over where those wefts might become exposed. So once you kind of blend all that in you're just going to keep working around the head and you're going to add in back combing where you need to hide the wefts and then wherever you need to and then you're going to take your hairspray and you're. Just going to use it to lightly cover the top, and that's just going to hold those hairs in place from shuffling and then you're going to also add it to the ends, to kind of piece it out and that's going to help it stick to the dreads. But then also kind of look like it's starting to become dreads itself, and I really like that. Look so we're just gon na. Do that all the way around and really that's all. There is to it it's very simple and it creates this beautiful, dreadlock style in no time flat. This also gives you the ability to do really amazing, dreadlock, updos and installations on the fly as well. It'S super simple: to do some really beautiful top knots and buns and loose braids

Jadag187: that’s a perfect idea ! I needed that for a friend on a shooting this will be amazing !!!

Miss Lizzy: do you need to have layers to get these to look right? my hair is all one length at the moment and I don't know if I want to commit to full time dreads. I'm not sure if these will look odd if my hair has no layers though... Also - do you do custom lengths? 18" is too short for my hair.
