UPDATE REGARDING OIL

Some people have commented saying that oil makes the lash lift fall faster. Personally I have not experienced this problem at all, but I wanted to make a note of it just in case others do. I have found the oils make my lashes grow longer and faster to the point where I'm currently not using them because my lashes grew too long! But it's up to each individual if they want to use them or not x

#DIYbeauty #LashLift

Quick intro before we start this video ended up being two videos in one. The first part is the application process and tutorial. Basically me trying the product and the second half is my thoughts on the product one week later, so definitely keep watching the video. Until I look like this again because you're going to need all of the info to do the best lash lift, you can hey guys welcome back to my channel, so todays video, I'm going to do a lash, lift perm, there's not really much of an introduction to This I want a lash, lift. I'Ve been thinking about doing a lash lift. So now we're going to do a lash lift, and I thought this kit sounds super easy to use. I might as well take you guys along for the ride. We can figure it out together and we can learn how to do a lash lift at home. So this is the lash lift kit it's by iconsign. I went for the upgraded version because why not Inside of the kit? It comes with most of the things you will need. You'Ve got four solutions here, you have got the perm solution, fixation solution, nutrition solution and the cleanser you've also got this lash glue, and I don't know if some of the glue has leaked. I don't think it has, I opened it and it seemed fine or if this is the kind of glue they use to stick products into boxes. But there's some glue in here and I'm not sure why a lot of the kits on amazon had complaints about the glue. But this specific kit said it had upgraded the glue. So I'm going to link this one down below if you do want to buy the kit and follow along the kit also comes with your cleaning tool, lift pads. These are what you curl. The lash around you've got the lash lift tools which I'll also show you, and it also came with, which has also got some glue on it. Eye pads, I'm assuming these are for sticking your lower lashes down and some instructions. A few other items that you are probably going to need: I've got some cotton earbuds just for any clean up. I have got some cotton rounds, some cling film and my trusty bioderma micelle water. I don'y know what I will need this for, but it tends to just come everywhere with me in life, so it's here so the clean tool. It'S just a Y shaped piece of plastic they've. Actually, given you a few, this ig good the lift pads. This is what you wrap your lashes around, and this is what makes them curly you'll see as I go through the process. My lashes are just super straight, so I personally am going to go for the smallest one, but obviously go through them and see what you prefer. Then we've got the lash lifting tools. These are just some plain spoolies and also these little teeny, tiny applicators, and once again you get a few which is really good, because I've heard that you can use this kit to do a brow, lamination and I've already. Like hmm and the very last thing I just got a little bit of water just for cleansing, i will use my bioderma if I feel like I need, or want to I'm going to use water where it says to use water just so we can use exact Products and get the exact results. The first step is cleaning off my eye area with some water to remove to remove any dust and then be sure to dry that off as well perfect next step. Taking our two eye pads, I am going to stick down my lower lashes just so they are not in the way. Ok, so I've got my glue and I've got my eye pad and I am going to paint the glue onto the back of this. Let it let it get a little bit tacky then stick it to my eyelid. That feels pretty secure straight away. Ok, this glue is good. The next step is to put some glue here and I'm gon na push my lashes up onto the silicone pad. They recommend pushing it up with this tiny little Y brush. Now this is the clean tool on one side of this brush is a tiny, tiny little comb, I'm gon na give it a go with this ok, so I started off using this Y brush, which was quite tricky, and I ended up just doing this and it Worked, I figure once they're all semi stuck on. I can move them around and get them in the position. I want them in anyway, because doing this in the camera is quite tricky. I'M just going to step away real quick, go to my bathroom mirror and just neaten this up, and then I will be back with you guys, hello. So I'm back from the bathroom, as you can see, I've stuck up all of the lashes nice and straight how I would want them. They are properly stuck to the silicone pad honestly that tiny comb really helped separate and straighten these lashes, and they are so stuck down. It'S insane, I'm just going to prepare some plastic, so it's just for your eyelashes. I really don't think you'll need a big bit. So the next thing we do is we grab the perm solution when applying the perm solution. The instructions on this kit just say apply it, but I have seen many a video where they say to apply to the middle and not the tips, just the middle and obviously not on your water line. So I am just going to aim for the middle bit and hope for the best it also says apply a suitable amount. But honestly, who knows what suitable is so I'm going to use this teeny tiny applicator? It'S your time to shine in you, go and then cover with your cling film and I've seen tips where you place it on and then pull it up slightly. Ok, so it has been eight minutes. I'M just going to go ahead and peel that off and it says to clean off the remaining solution using the Y brush, but I don't really see how that's possible, so I'm trading it out for a cotton swab. It says you can do that. So that's what I'm going to do. What I need to do is clean off the remaining solution and then apply solution, number two, which is the fixation. So let's do that. Then you cover it with cling film again for eight to ten minutes, I'm going to use a fresh piece of cling film. So it's time to peel, so I've got to wipe off the excess fixation juice. The next step is to apply nutrition over the lashes and leave that for 5 minutes, nutritions good for you like nutrition. In the eye I can cope with. You know perm in the eye, not so much but nutrition in the eye. I can't believe how light it looks in this room right now, guys, I'm sitting in darkness. This camera is saving us, so the very last step is to remove this pad and get rid of the glue, and I can do that by using the cleanser um. It'S just starting storming, so if you can hear rain and overall mother nature ness, can you please ignore it, because I'm working against the elements guys? So I'm going to do this with another cotton swab, because why not I've just soaked that in cleanser and I'm just gon na, I dont even know where to start, because this is stuck down good there we go cleanse cleanse cleanse, I'm hoping moving. It is gon na convince it. It wants to leave gon na grab this spoolie and brush them out a bit and see what we are working with here. Ok, so that's very obviously worked. I'M going to try and dry these off because I'm assuming you can't get them wet and obviously the cleanser just got them wet theres, not really any aftercare advice in this kit, but I've seen legally blonde and I know you can't get a perm wet. So I'm not going to do it. Ok now for a bit of before and after I think it's very obvious this has worked. This is my lash before they are lower and straighter, and look a little bit sad now. My lash looks like it's: had a lockdown glow up, it's living, it's best life, it's refusing to focus in the camera, but that's because it shines too bright. I'M going to do this eye off camera and then I'll take a photo and insert some and I'll just insert some before and after pics, but I think thats worked. This lash looks like it's wearing mascara, and this and this one just looks like early morning realness the kit doesnt really come with any aftercare advice. So I'm going to find some for me and for you guys, because safety first guys chemicals nears eyes, safety first and of course you know, you don't want your lashes to just fall off and die. I can't wait to do my other lash set my other eye and see the full result which I will insert photos for you hello. So it has been a week since I did the treatment and I've edited the video it's ready to go, but it just didn't feel right, uploading this video without including the info I've learned in the last week, there's things that I would have done differently and there's Things I now know so definitely stay tuned, learn from my mistakes and I'm gon na show you what it looks like a week after application. Ok, so I have nothing on my lashes. I haven't brushed them. I haven't touched them at all. This is fresh out of bed showered lashed. This is what they look like all the time now I am going to show you what they look like with mascara, but I wanted to start here. If you look at this eye on the inner corner here, there's a bunch of lashes that are not as curled as the rest. I think I may have missed them off the pad, so it looks a bit empty here, but there's definitely lashes. There you go. You can kind of see them. I think I missed them off the pad or I didn't apply enough, perming solution there, so they are kind of just how they were before and the rest of the lashes look, nice and permed and curly. Whereas you can see on this eye, I have gone all the way in you can see the difference there. Also, if you look at both eyes in the middle section here, the lashes are more curled in this particular section, then the rest of the eye - I don't know if you can see that and they are a little bit more grouped together ever so slightly over. All though everything looks exactly like it did last week when I finished the treatment, and I do really really like my lashes - there are just a few things that I would change and I'm gon na talk you through how I would do that now, but before we Do that I want to show you my lashes with mascara. So the first thing I do everyday is I brush my lashes with this little spoolie? Sometimes you wake up and they're just going whever. They want to little. Spoolie is now your best friend everyday. I give them a brush, nothing too crazy, get them all nice and separated before I apply any mascara. As I mentioned, this inner corner here doesn't seem to have curled as much so this is where I focus my mascara. The rest doesn't really need it. Now. You can see I've just put mascara on the inner corner of my eye and it's really evened out my eyes. It'S filled in that patch, where I didn't curl the lashes correctly, and now they look absolutely fine. So I'm just going to apply a bit of mascara to the rest of the lashes and you can see the full mascara curled lash. Once I have applied mascara and it's dried off a bit. I'Ve only done one light coating I like to go back in with my spoolie and what I do with this is I brush through my lashes to make sure they are nice and separated and fluff them out a little bit more and that's how I like the Finished result I normally go above and just comb through them a little and then push them back up on this particular eye, really focusing on that inner corner, because it's the bit that needs help, and then this is my finished result with mascara, which I love. I actually love, I feel like I'm wearing falsies and I'm here for it now onto my list. I literally wrote a list. I didn't want to miss anything so we're going to go through it one by one. The first thing i would change and do differently next time is, I would change the size of the pad that I used. As I showed you guys earlier, I used the smallest pad. My reasons for using that pad were that. I genuinely, though my lashes were very very short, and I was like I'm gon na go for the smallest pad, just lift them straight up in the air, get the most oomph I can get out of this treatment, but I have since discovered that my lashes are Way longer, then, I thought they were and also on this same subject. The treatment is more effective. Then I thought it was too remember that I mentioned that this set of lashes here and here are the most curled and because they are on the inner section of my eye. I don't know if you can see, but when I blink they are poking. My eyelid, and sometimes at the top they fold a bit. I mean you only really notice it if I'm literally zoomed in with a camera. So it's not the biggest deal. But if you are someone where, if you are wearing fake lashes - and they are poking your eyelid - it annoys you - this is going to annoy you, because now they are permanently tickling, my eyelid, I am unbothered by this, but there is a way that I can fix This and I'm going to do it next time, so it all came down to, in my case the size of the pad that I used. So if you remember, I used the smallest pad and I'm gon na show you this up close. So you can really understand what I'm trying to say at this point. These are the lift pads. They are what you use to curl your lash around the little silicone pads that I stuck to my eyelid. I used this small one now, it's small, because if you look from the side it has the smallest bump and for me i wanted my lashes lifted as high as possible. So the smallest bump, for me, is what I wanted, but where my eyelashes are now touching my eyelid, I could have gone for a bigger bump, so this is the large size and, as you can see it bumps out way further, I'm going to try and hold Them side by side: this is great camera work. The top is small. The bottom is large. If I had used this larger pad size, my eyelashes, instead of going more directly upwards, they would have had more of a curve to them. So, instead of looking like this, they would have been more like that. I hope this is making sense to you, because my lashes are longer then I expected them to be. I have more lash to work with, so I can use a larger lash pad and - and I can sculpt that really nice curled forward lash so next time I think I'm even gon na try, maybe going for large, maybe medium to large, I'm not too sure just Yet, but I definitely wont be using the small again because, as we can now see, my lashes are longer, then I thought they were and the perm solution really works so yeah. Also, whilst we are on this subject the inner corner, I think it's not as curled, because maybe I didn't stick it down correctly. So when you are doing this section, you're pushing the lashes onto the lash pad the silicone pad just make sure you really get those inner corner lashes, they don't fall, maybe underneath the silicone pad - or they are kind of tucked off to the side just make sure They are really stuck down, so you don't have the same issue I have had now now. I want to quickly touch on aftercare, because this kit comes with no aftercare. Even the instructions themselves leave a lot to the imagination, but I'm gon na touch on instructions. After this, firstly aftercare do not get you lashes, wet for 24 hours. After doing this treatment, leave your lashes alone, try not to sleep directly on them, which, for me, is hard, I'm a face sleeper. I also wanted to add a bit more aftercare, and this is just something I do. I haven't seen places saying you have to do this, but I think you should we'll see I'm sure some professional is gon na correct me on this, but I think I think this is good. I just know that if I did something to my hair lets say when I Brazilian blow dry my hair, there are certain steps I take after that to look after it more. You have just chemically treated your hair, but this time it's your eyelash hair. So you want to look after it afterwards. I have this little homemade mix I'll link to all the products used in the description box, but this is basically a little bottle that used to be shower gel. But now it hold my eyelash oil and it is a mixture of castor oil, sweet almond, oil and vitamin E. I think it's a third of each and I apply this to my lashes every evening before I got to bed. This apparently helps your lashes grow and I was testing it out for 3 weeks in a row trying to see if I could make a how to grow your lashes at home video. I think this was in September October time. You know that big gap where I didn't release anything yeah. This is one of the things I was meant to be doing. I genuinely didn't think this made my lashes grow, but after doing this treatment and seeing that my lashes are way longer, then I thought they were. Maybe it did work, but but now I just use it as a way to nourish my lashes and make sure the hairs are taken care of because, as I said, you wouldn't treat the hair on your head and then not use the appropriate products afterwards. You know so you've just done a chemical thing on your eyelashes. Look after them apply some nightly oils, it's a fab time and your lashes might be growing. I genuinely think maybe this worked and I scrapped that whole video for no reason - and I think the very last thing I wanted to add - is that the instructions in this amazon kit just are lacking, there's just a lot more, that they should say and it and It would really be the biggest change for them as a product or a company to just make better instructions, but it is what it is. I learned a lot of things through googling, but in terms of the actual product, the perming solution and every inside the product. It did work its just the instructions yeah there needs to be some improvement there anyway. I think that's it. I don't want this video to be too long, so I'm gon na end. It here. Thank you guys so much for watching, and thank you for watching this. Ending section as well, because I think this is just as important, obviously, when you're doing at home treatment, you want to learn as much as you can. Even after you watch this video watch, a few more videos, do a few google searches and just do as much as you can, because these are our eyelashes. If I messed these up, can you imagine I just wouldn't have eyelashes right now like damn? If you are not subscribed subscribe, if you are subscribed, I have 3 videos planned. I actually have 3 videos planned if you are a long time subscriber you'll know this is very unlike me, but we have a little spree of videos coming out. There is a hair tool, video, a contact, lenses, haul video and there is a blackhead video which is just going to be equal parts, disgusting and hilarious. So there is lots to look forward to. My lashes smudge whenever I wear mascara I think because they point downwards even after curling them (trust me I have bought so many it ridiculous) and was looking at perming at home but didn't know where to start. AND by the way, I have been using pure castor oil on my lashes and hair since 3 weeks now consistently (at least 1x week for my hair, 2-3x a week for eyelashes) and it definitely works!! Castor oil is pretty thick though so I'm definitely going to make your solution and try it out on my eyelashes and hair :)

Jutta: Thank you so much for making a fantastic video! I think you're very brave for trying something like this, anything involving chemicals near the eyes is a bit scary. The whole process seems quite time consuming and takes a lot of patience and care but you got a fantastic result in the end. I've got a serious case of lash envy here!

Your video has convinced me though plus you were so informative! Thank you so muchhh.

Tracey Dones: This was the most detailed and informative tutorial! Thank you!

Theresa DeNove: I bought the exact same kit as the one you used in your video. Your step by step was great & I followed along as I did mine. I used the large lift as you said that's one thing you would do differently, I think I need to step it down to M2. I also had a little difficulty getting all my lashes to stick to the pad. More glue? The hardest part was clean up. How did you ever get the glue off? Any tips?

Lacie Tucker: Wow that is such a dramatic difference! I am going to do mine for sure Thanks for posting!!!

Eleni & Graham Walker: Very informative and impressed by your research and delivery of the tutorial with the extra info and tips at the end….thank you for that as it is extremely helpful ….. looking forward to more uploads in future.

Jennifer C.: Castor oil and sunflower oil is wonderful to do on your lashes. (Have been getting my lashes done professionally... now she's gone so looking to get them done again myself)

Holly: I’ve done mine twice, and had the same problem with them hitting my eyelid. So, here’s what I did. The next day, I did basically another lift, except no pads. I just applied the solut ion to my lashes and kept combing it thru in a downward motion to kind of loosen the curl a bit. After about 2 minutes, they weren’t hitting my eyelids anymore, but still lifted.

Víctor Isabel Fernández: Great video! It’s a really detailed review. Loved it

Seemi R: Great video, thanks for sharing the review, experience and tips. You were beautiful without the lash lift!

CharmCat: Thank you for this! It is so helpful, I have my kit and planned to try it tomorrow :)

Zeynep Çetintaş: Thanks a bunch for the clear instructions. Especially the things you would change for the next time helped a lot! ✨

Natalia: Great video! The explanation on how to use the product, the tips that are not mentioned in the instructions, your experience. Loved it! New subscriber here! I'm going to watch the other video with the large lift pad to see how that goes. How long did the effect last on your lashes btw?

Mardhiah -: the most detailed video for lash lifting! thank you for the tutorial and also the tips :))

Jenny Spadaro: I bought this kit and now just watched a few videos. Yours was very helpful and informative!!! Thanks so much

Everlong: This is a great video! I did this several months ago and was terrified. The perm smells TERRIBLE. I also struggled with the glue so swapped it out for eyelash glue. Mine turned out good (very curled) and I also struggled with the inner corners are they're naturally smaller. For anyone wanting to try this please be super careful, the instructions aren't good and I watched several videos to help me :) mine lasted a good 6-8 to weeks but I do think I went to far up which towards the end mend the ends of my eyelashes looked a little fried They are perfectly fine now thank god. I'd suggest that if you have ever had your hair bleached ect and it processes quick then be mindful of not frying your lashes. I also used to for my brows and stuck with 8 mins... I should have done less and after a few days they looked slightly fried and wild. So I guess my advice is perhaps don't do as long as it says on the box if you're anything like me

Nreen Ay: Thank you for this great review! Helped a lot

Waie Waie: Very informative! I just ordered my kit from Amazon. Your video really explained clearly. Thank you!

GUESS WHO I AM!?: I have get it done by local esthetician last year . It actually thins down my eyelashes ☺️ took my time to get my eyelashes thicker again lmao Gonna go for curler

Maya Fox: Inspired me to get this and do it!! Thanks girl

Pristine Paige Plays: How long did the treatment last for you? Thank you for doing this amazing review

Sew It Seams: I had mine professionally done 18 yrs ago but they did it with tiny cotton rods and not these silicone pads. The salon gal didn’t make sure my lashes were straight and separated properly. So I had lashes leaning in different directions by week 2, which look like tiny spider legs! Lol I have stiff short Asian lashes and can’t wait to try this at home with the small silicone pads and using a toothpick to separate each lash. Thank you for your video, it really helped. ❤️

kelly: Thanks so much not only for doing the entire thing on video for us to see, but even more so for adding in the 1 week later results, what you learned, what you would’ve done differently. I actually wrote down the things you had wrote and told us to look out for and aftercare. Gonna attempt to do it in my room tonight, so nervous I don’t mess it up, but because in general and especially lately I have really horrific luck, like Murphy’s law “everything that can go wrong, will go wrong” = my life. Wish me luck!

April Mia: I love your video so insightful, I’m going to purchase a kit now and hope my lashes turn out as great as yours. I also love the contacts you are wearing. What brand and color are they?

suzy: I did my about a week ago, I felt I had to wash them today, they feel so much better and sit fluffy. I was applying coconut oil to them as the was recommended when I had them professionally done.

Joanne C: youre so pretty!! and this video is really helpful as i'll be doing my lash lift on my own real soon. ahhhh thank you! <3

Joaquin Manríquez: Also, you shouldn't wear any type of contact lenses when doing any kind of perm, as the contacts react shrinking themselves

hi oppaR: so i did lash lift on my own for the first time and i regret it. my eyelash looked like electrified. i lash lift my cousin and sister two times and they look pretty fine and very natural. So after a couple of minutes, i washed my eyes (with soap) hoping it'll go down or atleast subside and little faster. i lash lift myself just last night

BubbleTea.o: Love thiss!! such an engaging and informative video

Sanjana Reddy: I watched another video about at-home lash lifts (I haven't done it myself yet) but a lady in the comments section was a beautician and she recommended putting tiny strips of clingfilm over your lashes while they're perming so you don't have to worry about your lashes on the ends coming off the pad and not curling as much as the rest of them :)

Marianela Granados: I love your tutorial thank you for sharing and I will definitely give it a try thanks to your video thank you thank you

leinahalea: The single most helpful video I’ve come across for this treatment. THANK YOU

Baby Doll84: Did mine. Washed it with soap and it permed perfectly!

Emily Adamson: I’ve had such a hard time with this. My lashes are stubborn AF. They always fall off the pad no matter how much glue I use or if I reglue. Sometimes it works and they stay, sometimes it doesn’t. I also need to leave the product on for like …. An HOUR in order for it to do anything.

Imimi: Hi! Amazing video, it was so informative. Just wondering if you felt and burning or irritation during the treatment, because I have experienced this when getting a professionally done lash lift. Thank you!

Shabnam Shams: Love the results!! Did it make your lashes to fall out or break after a few weeks ?

Swimmer31: @Jaymfs Quick Question- I’m a swimmer, do you think they would last through a two hour practice, around 5 days a week? Or even just when my face is sweating from working out? Thank you for the video, it was extremely helpful!! ❤️
