How To Make A Stacked Boutique Hair Bow Tutorial

Updated version https://youtu.be/trGLvq5QHlo

It's not that complicated! Practice makes PERFECT : )

We are working w/ The Classic Boutique Bow http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=GyMRR5j..., The Pinwheel V.2 bow http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=iO6A9kf..., The Surround-A-Bow http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=BHc_dHq... and the 2 Loop Twister hairbow http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=aeYUjVA...

Hey guys today we're going to make an a stacked here, bow and believe it or not I've already, given you everything that you need for this hair bow right here, there's one two: three four parts to it, which are classic boutique bow and I'm going to put The little link to that tutorial right here in the form of a box - hopefully it shows up you're going to need the pinwheel tutorial you're going to be working with the surround of oh this one's flopping I'll be right. Here again, I hope, if not all of these will be down below and our newest tutorial, the two loop topper or the twister bow as I like to call it and again, I'm going to put here now, I'm going to show you how to put them all Together, it's very easy that really quick, I'm going to show you how I made my spikes or my pinwheels for this stacked bow. Since we are working with a four inch base bow, you want your spikes or your pinwheels, as I call them to be. At least two inches wider and then your bow at least for your your first layer. So this is going to be my first layer, this orange and black dot ribbon, and I cut these strips into six inches each one of these are six inches. Then this is going to be my the layer, that's going to go on top of this pinwheel and these are about five inches and how I'm going to do my cuts at the end, I'm going to do V cuts it's going to be cutting a little B, Like so that's going to be our big cuts and I'm going to do each one of my ribbon pieces like that and then heat seal them and then I'll show you how I'm going to put them together, always fun at doing my spikes or my pinwheels. As I call them is the most tedious process in a stacked bow, so I like to do them all together just go ahead and do your cuts seal and then put them away until you need them, because it will take a lot of time, especially if you Use more than what I'm using, which is two layers. Okay, for this bow we're going to use the orange and white dot on the bottom, so just like in the pinwheel tutorial you're just going to take them pinch them in the middle one. On top of the other, make sure you secure them now we're just going to take our thread and secure the middle right here and then our first layer of spikes or pinwheels, as I like to call them he's done, our pinwheel has been completed. Just fan out your ribbon pieces and now you're ready to put this on top of your base, pedal on the bottom you're going to need your base, bow, which I'm working with the four and a half inch classic boutique bow on top of it. You'Re going to put a little dab of glue right here in the center and you're, going to take your pinwheel and just glue it on top like so now, once you have those two glued together and secure it with your thread once you glue it. Next comes the surround a bow again glue in the middle, secure it on top and then go back around it with your thread now, on the very top, it's going to be your two loop, Stoppers, oh again, glue in the middle place it and then secure it With your thread now, I'm going to show you what it looks like when all four pieces are assembled, and here is our pinwheel attached to our classic boutique base, though see how the the ribbons are fanned out now we're going to put our surround a bow on Top here I just made just a double color surround a bow and you can find the tutorial for that again in the links section. Here'S what it looks like with our third layer, which is the surround a bow. We'Ve got one layer, two layers, three layers now we're going to put our twister bow on top, and here is the final product with all four layers. You'Ve got your classic boutique, your pinwheel surround a bow and your two loop twisted topper. Both I've secured it to my clip. You can see and added a cute little cat over here on the side since it's a Halloween bow, but there you have it a stack. Boutique-Style bow.

TheFrugalCraftyMama: I always love your tutorials! : ) I've been making bows for a couple of years, so I know how to make all the pieces, but I always love watching tutorials. ...When you do your V's, its also fast and easy when you fold the end in half and then cut an angel. That way they come out pretty even with one another. : )

colbyash: Love this! What would you recommend to increase the size of the overall bow? How many inches extra for each bow? Also would this work with satin or do you think it would be to flimsy? Thanks so much!!

Chivaun Lahti: Subscribe,Favorite & Comment =0) I love your Tutorials. I have been trying to make some bows myself but they look a little silly. But as you said practice makes Perfect =0) I have 3 girls! 4year old Twins and a 7year old I love matching their hair Clips and stuff to their outfits!!! =0)

picklesalways: An easier way to get the V-cuts even is to fold the edge of the ribbon and figure which way you want the V to go.(:

Roxanne Navarro: I love love your videos! They help me a lot! More blessings!! God Bless! =)

mommycraftsalot: @mytwolovebugs85 I used 7/8 inch ribbon for this one. I usually do 1.5 inch and then a layer of 7/8 inch but this is just the colors I had on hand. Have fun!

JaidaJaysonsMom: WOW! I don't know if KandACrafts is blind or what! These colors and patterns compliment each other perfectly! Job well done & keep it up!

mommycraftsalot: @sharikay2006 all bow parts (tutorials) for this bow are found in the description box as stated in the video

Jessica Bailey: What size ribbon is the pin wheel? Thanks Im just starting out and you have really helped alot! Thank you so much

mommycraftsalot: @KandAcrafts I made this to match my daughter's halloween outfit therefore they do compliment each other. Thanks for the comment.

chinell: Don't know if I'm supposed to comment this video or the other so I will comment both! I Love you videos and I love how easy they are to follow! Thanks!

InspiredNails: I just was wondering, where do you get all your hair clips that you attach on the back of the bows?

angelstrength01: I might have missed it, but what width ribbon did you use for the pinwheel part?

Adriana Rojas: Beautiful!

Catherine Green: Hi Mommy Crafts A Lot. I love your tutorials and wanted to know if you plan on making any new ones? I really love your instructions and can't wait to see what you have for us next. Take care'

OCMB2009: love the bows!xx

angelstrength01: What is the benefit of partially lining the clip? I have always fully lined them...teach me! :)

GD megamee: thanx cant wait to make one :)

Katie Maroni #The Fam: I just absolutely love your videos :)

blo126: You are an answered prayer! Thank you so much for sharing your God-given talents with the rest of us. May the Lord bless you and keep you!

hospitalcakewalk: That is freaking adorable! i love it!!! :P

mommycraftsalot: @angelstrength01 Gotcha, It's just preference. If I am making them for a baby with little hair then I will line the entire clip. If I make it for bigger girls then I will leave the bottom unlined because it's easier to slip in the hair. I find that if they are fully lined when I put them in my daughter's hair, it tugs at the hair. I will include this question in this weekend's TIPS video.

Phoenix Rising: Very pretty!

Stacey Sizemore: How would you go about adding a bottlecap to a bow like this? Do you just glue it in the center?

LiLMiZzSaZzi: Love it, :)

Mely Teran: Love it!!

Sheila Green: Pretty bows. I think you heat seal them way too much. They're curved and black. Also if you fold your ribbon in half and cut it at a diagonal, you can make your v cuts come out perfectly. It's so much easier than judging where you cut and have to do it twice. Im not being critical. I just think it helps everyone to share and learn from each other. Love your name!!!

Holly Lewis: Thanks so much!!! =)

Mariana C: such a fun bow!

Rosana Diaz: I love your tutorial

Lauren Hobbs: Can you say exactly the sizes of each ribbon used for each layer. like 3/8 in for surround a bow.

taylor fawvor: Measurements for the ribbons you used??

Stephanie Salamanca: so pretty(:

Singer Facilita : So cute!(∩_∩)

Mizz MuhRee: How do u secure it to the clip?

angelstrength01: @mommycraftsalot....I understand but when watching some other videos I noticed that the alligator clips are partially lined. Is ther a secret I'm unaware of? Does it hold better in the hair?

mommycraftsalot: @angelstrength01 The halloween bow is on a fully lined french barrette....the only thing not covered is the closure.

islandbabe13: what are the different thickness of all the different ribbons?

Taryn Celeste: Awesome!!!

mommycraftsalot: @Elle1540 No, I just checked. The description box is full of links and info....(The description box is below the video) If you are referring to the annotations in the video (Yes, they look blank but if you click them they will also take you to a video tutorial). Hope that helps...

Bergendi M: I need to know the length of ribbon for the base bow!!!!!!

scrapper v: great videos just found you i subscribed

Sayuri Rosas: U are the best i love all ur videos thanks

Katie Cullifer: how did ou get the green to face opposite of the orange. in the second pinwheel?

LEANNE COLLINS: I see the elephant and made it it's soooo cute... What about a giraffe? Can you make one of those? In a clipie? Thank you

squirtle69: is it possible to put a hair tie instead of a clip?? how would i do that if it were possible

mommycraftsalot: Good luck ; ) I tend to be a little lazy at times myself. **Ok, a lot of the time : )

Katelyn Gray: I love your tutorials but the only problem is the box to the links...I see the box with the little woman inside but it does nothing for me to click on it. Please make more tutorials!!!

Crystal Jewell: Did I miss the part where you said how wide and also how long the ribbon for the base bow needed to be? Either you didn't say it, or I got distracted lol. Its probably MY FAULT.

mommycraftsalot: @KandAcrafts : ) It was a little frankenstein outfit *Thanks!

earnestine hepburn: I want to know the same thing how can i add a bottle cap to this

gina sanchez: Awesome video

randomagdolls: Do you have a tutorial on big competition cheerleading bows? I don't mean the smallerish ones but the HUGE ones :P with layered-stuck-together ribbon and big ribbon. If you don't have a tutorial can you please make one when you get a chance? I'm not trying too be forceful or anything. ;D

mommycraftsalot: @blo126 I hope this helps you!

Amber Browning: i love you! im totally subscribing!

Katie Bona: Awesome! going to try this. I am terrible at pinching the pleats in the piwheels~ got to work on it~ these take a lot of ribbon... if you were to sell one of this style and quality... how would you price it? I havee a 3 year old girl and another girl due in 83 days!! So, may years of bow making ahead for me :)

Connie8: Ha! my niece looks exactly like you! Twins lol ......nice bows

Katelyn Gray: I love your tutorials but the only problem is the box to the links...I see the box with the little woman inside but it does nothing for me to click on it. Please make more tutorials!!!

SCRcreations by Melba Guio: lovely

mommycraftsalot: @Demandiemmp Don't give up. I can't tell you how many times I whined over my bow making skills in the beginning! You can ask my hubby....It was bad but I kept on going : )

sakurasoh: Oh.. I'm so excited. I have never seen your face in all your tutorial... and you are young!

Becky S: @beautyideas2 Hobby Lobby is where I get mine.

Liz Janquart: HELP...i made this bow...and its like 3inches thick lol

mommycraftsalot: @randomagdolls I will try to get one done before baby gets here. I know what you are talking about.

CRAFTMANIA: Too many tapes. But the author tried!

mommycraftsalot: @Demandiemmp You should have seen some of my first bows....Not pretty! Keep trying : )

blackbetty: @beaaguilar123 I have the same problem!

BrisMami21: @Kristen Black i agree!

pretentiouscandy: Haha. I just gotta get the 'free' cash to do it. By that I mean.. it's not a priority when I do get cash lol. I really cannot wait to start making bows for her though. She has NO hair, so I gotta make them headbands. And I really wanna make her dad mad, he thinks the big bows are 'ugly' lmfao.

sharikay2006: What good is it to show us a pinwheel bow and not showing how you fastened it together?

mommycraftsalot: Have fun!

pretentiouscandy: LOL how do they NOT compliment one another? Anybody can tell they are Halloween colors. Silly.

Chrissy Synoradzki: i like your stil girl
